Oct 21, 2026The MCTP-over-I2C+GPIO target binding in subsys/pmci/mctp/mctp_i2c_gpio_target.c emulates a small pseudo-register file, where the bus controller first writes a CVE-2026-79976 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 7.1
The MCTP-over-I2C+GPIO target binding in subsys/pmci/mctp/mctp_i2c_gpio_target.c emulates a small pseudo-register file, where the bus controller first writes a register number and then writes or reads payload bytes. The selected register (b->reg_addr) and the data-phase flag (b->rxtx) were never cleared when the controller issued an I2C STOP, so after a completed transfer the target still had a data register selected while the packet buffer that register refers to had already been consumed and set to NULL by mctp_i2c_gpio_target_stop(). A controller on the bus can re-enter the same branch of mctp_i2c_gpio_target_stop() with a NULL buffer using two ordinary transactions and no authentication: first a normal packet write to MCTP_I2C_GPIO_RX_MSG_ADDR followed by STOP (which delivers and frees b->rx_pkt), then a bare read transaction followed by STOP. The failing read_requested() call leaves the stale state untouched and the I2C driver still delivers the STOP callback, which then calls mctp_bus_rx() with a NULL packet. The symmetric case exists on the transmit side, where the stale MCTP_I2C_GPIO_TX_MSG_ADDR selection dereferences b->tx_pkt->end after b->tx_pkt has been cleared and add

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: use copy-on-write RCU updates in ip6_mc_source() pmc->sflist is read locklessCVE-2026-98101 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: use copy-on-write RCU updates in ip6_mc_source() pmc->sflist is read locklessly under rcu_read_lock() by inet6_mc_check() during packet reception in the UDP and RAW multicast receive paths. ip6_mc_source() mutated psl->sl_addr and psl->sl_count in-place when adding or removing a source filter. Additionally, when expanding the filter buffer, newpsl was published via rcu_assign_pointer() before writing the new source into the array. Because 16-byte struct in6_addr writes are not atomic and array shifting is not synchronized with RCU readers, concurrent readers in inet6_mc_check() could read torn IPv6 addresses or observe duplicated/missed source entries. Fix this by switching ip6_mc_source() to copy-on-write RCU updates: allocate and fully populate newpsl before publishing it via rcu_assign_pointer(), and reclaim the old filter via kfree_rcu(), matching ip6_mc_msfilter(). Also remove the now unused IP6_SFBLOCK macro.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/mellanox: mlxbf-pmc: Check ACPI_COMPANION() against NULL Every platform driver caCVE-2026-93115 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/mellanox: mlxbf-pmc: Check ACPI_COMPANION() against NULL Every platform driver can be forced to match a device that doesn't match its list of device IDs because of device_match_driver_override(), so platform drivers that rely on the existence of a device's ACPI companion object need to verify its presence. mlxbf_pmc_probe() passes the result of ACPI_COMPANION() to acpi_device_hid(), which dereferences it, so force-binding the driver to a device without an ACPI companion leads to a NULL pointer dereference. Accordingly, add a requisite ACPI_COMPANION() check against NULL to the mlxbf-pmc driver and return -ENODEV when the companion is missing.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86/amd/pmc: Propagate SMU errors and validate S2D address amd_stb_s2d_init() disCVE-2026-81016 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.7
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86/amd/pmc: Propagate SMU errors and validate S2D address amd_stb_s2d_init() discards the return value of several S2D SMU commands. When the SMU refuses a command (e.g. "SMU cmd failed. err: 0xff") the failure is only noticed indirectly - if at all - and reported as -EIO, masking the real error. More seriously, the S2D_PHYS_ADDR_LOW/HIGH return values are ignored, so on failure phys_addr_low/hi are left uninitialised and the assembled address is passed straight to devm_ioremap(). When the SMU leaves them at zero this maps physical address 0 and trips the ioremap-on-RAM warning: amd_pmc AMDI000B:00: SMU cmd failed. err: 0xff ioremap on RAM at 0x0000000000000000 - 0x0000000000ffffff WARNING: CPU: 13 PID: 4592 at arch/x86/mm/ioremap.c:... Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86/amd/pmc: Fix LPS0 and debugfs leaks when STB init fails amd_pmc_probe() regisCVE-2026-81015 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86/amd/pmc: Fix LPS0 and debugfs leaks when STB init fails amd_pmc_probe() registers the LPS0 s2idle handler with acpi_register_lps0_dev() and creates the driver's debugfs directory before calling amd_stb_s2d_init(), which is the last step in probe that can fail. When amd_stb_s2d_init() fails (for example the S2D telemetry region cannot be ioremapped on a long-running system, or the SMU rejects the S2D setup) the error path only calls pci_dev_put() and returns. This leaves amd_pmc_s2idle_dev_ops on the global lps0_s2idle_devops_head list and leaks the debugfs directory, while the devm-managed resources backing the handler are torn down. Reloading the module then walks the corrupted list in acpi_register_lps0_dev() and hits: list_add corruption. next->prev should be prev, but was NULL. kernel BUG at lib/list_debug.c:29! acpi_register_lps0_dev+0x44/0x80 amd_pmc_probe+0x224/0x380 [amd_pmc] platform_probe+0x67/0x90 Even without a reload, the stale registration means the next s2idle transition calls into torn-down driver state. Aug 27, 2026startServer.ts in the mcp-http-server package of UI-TARS-desktop defaulted its listen address to '::' when no host was given, so startSseAndStreamableHttpMcpSerCVE-2026-81735 · Other software · bytedance · reported by VulnCheckCritical 10
startServer.ts in the mcp-http-server package of UI-TARS-desktop defaulted its listen address to '::' when no host was given, so startSseAndStreamableHttpMcpServer bound the Streamable HTTP and SSE MCP transports to every interface, and its authentication middleware was optional: middlewares are applied only when a caller supplies them. The @agent-infra/mcp-server-commands and @agent-infra/mcp-server-filesystem entry points call startSseAndStreamableHttpMcpServer with a host and port alone and pass no middleware, so neither server required a credential. The commands server exposes a run_command tool that hands its caller-supplied command string to promisify(child_process.exec), so any unauthenticated client able to reach the port could run arbitrary commands as the user running the server, and the filesystem server exposed its file read and write tools on the same terms. The listen default became 127.0.0.1 in commit c2ad42e3eb9b27830db41a3e6f51ca7179d9b168; the package version stayed at 1.2.4 across that change, so the boundary is the commit rather than a release.

Aug 26, 2026When a process calls execve(2) to execute a setuid or setgid image, hwpmc(4) is supposed to detach PMCs owned by unprivileged processes.CVE-2026-58089 · Other software · FreeBSD · reported by secteam@freebsd.orgHigh 7.8
When a process calls execve(2) to execute a setuid or setgid image, hwpmc(4) is supposed to detach PMCs owned by unprivileged processes. An inverted check meant that this scenario was not handled properly. An unprivileged local user who has attached PMCs to a process can continue monitoring it after the process executes a setuid or setgid binary, contrary to the intended policy.

Jul 21, 2026The MCTP-over-I2C+GPIO target binding in Zephyr (subsys/pmci/mctp/mctp_i2c_gpio_target.c) processes pseudo-register writes from an I2C bus master byte-by-byte iCVE-2026-10678 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.1
The MCTP-over-I2C+GPIO target binding in Zephyr (subsys/pmci/mctp/mctp_i2c_gpio_target.c) processes pseudo-register writes from an I2C bus master byte-by-byte in mctp_i2c_gpio_target_write_received() without validating the order or the receive buffer. In the affected versions the MCTP_I2C_GPIO_RX_MSG_ADDR (data) handler dereferences and writes through b->rx_pkt without checking that the receive buffer was allocated: a controller that selects the data register and writes a byte without first sending the length register (which is what allocates the buffer) causes a write of an attacker-chosen byte through a NULL/unallocated mctp_pktbuf pointer (i.e. into a small attacker-advanceable offset above address 0), producing memory corruption or a hard fault. The same handler also performs a write-then-check bounds test, allowing a one-byte heap overflow at data[255] when more than 255 data bytes are sent. Because the I2C target callback is invoked with raw bytes supplied by whatever device is the bus master and the binding performs no authentication, a malicious or malfunctioning controller on the bus can trigger these without any prior protocol state, leading to memory corruption and/or

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soc/tegra: pmc: Fix unsafe generic_handle_irq() call Currently, when resuming from system suspend on Tegra platforms, the following warning is observed: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 14459 at kernel/irq/irqdesc.c:666 Call trace: handle_irq_desc+0x20/0x58 (P) tegra186_pmc_wake_syscore_resume+0xe4/0x15c syscore_resume+0x3c/0xb8 suspend_devices_and_enter+0x510/0x540 pm_suspend+0x16c/0x1d8 The warning occurs because generic_handle_irq() is being called from a non-interrupt context which is considered as unsafe. Fix this warning by deferring generic_handle_irq() call to an IRQ work which gets executed in hard IRQ context where generic_handle_irq() can be called safely. When PREEMPT_RT kernels are used, regular IRQ work (initialized with init_irq_work) is deferred to run in per-CPU kthreads in preemptible context rather than hard IRQ context. Hence, use the IRQ_WORK_INIT_HARD variant so that with PREEMPT_RT kernels, the IRQ work is processed in hardirq context instead of being deferred to a thread which is required for calling generic_handle_irq(). On non-PREEMPT_RT kernels, both init_irq_work() and IRQ_WORK_INIT_HARD

`@npmcli/arborist`, the library that calculates dependency trees and manages the node_modules folder hierarchy for the npm command line interface, aims to guarantee that package dependency contracts will be met, and the extraction of package contents will always be performed into the expected folder. This is accomplished by extracting package contents into a project's `node_modules` folder. If the `node_modules` folder of the root project or any of its dependencies is somehow replaced with a symbolic link, it could allow Arborist to write package dependencies to any arbitrary location on the file system. Note that symbolic links contained within package artifact contents are filtered out, so another means of creating a `node_modules` symbolic link would have to be employed. 1. A `preinstall` script could replace `node_modules` with a symlink. (This is prevented by using `--ignore-scripts`.) 2. An attacker could supply the target with a git repository, instructing them to run `npm install --ignore-scripts` in the root. This may be successful, because `npm install --ignore-scripts` is typically not capable of making changes outside of the project directory, so it may be deemed safe.

`@npmcli/arborist`, the library that calculates dependency trees and manages the `node_modules` folder hierarchy for the npm command line interface, aims to guarantee that package dependency contracts will be met, and the extraction of package contents will always be performed into the expected folder. This is, in part, accomplished by resolving dependency specifiers defined in `package.json` manifests for dependencies with a specific name, and nesting folders to resolve conflicting dependencies. When multiple dependencies differ only in the case of their name, Arborist's internal data structure saw them as separate items that could coexist within the same level in the `node_modules` hierarchy. However, on case-insensitive file systems (such as macOS and Windows), this is not the case. Combined with a symlink dependency such as `file:/some/path`, this allowed an attacker to create a situation in which arbitrary contents could be written to any location on the filesystem. For example, a package `pwn-a` could define a dependency in their `package.json` file such as `"foo": "file:/some/path"`. Another package, `pwn-b` could define a dependency such as `FOO: "file:foo.tgz"`. On case-in
