Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: fix P2P device removal race in brcmf_detach() When the driver is removed wCVE-2026-99061 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: fix P2P device removal race in brcmf_detach() When the driver is removed while the user space process that created the P2P device (e.g. wpa_supplicant) is still exiting, the P2P device interface is removed twice and the kernel crashes. The two paths are: - wpa_supplicant, on exit, sends NL80211_CMD_DEL_INTERFACE for the P2P device. nl80211_del_interface() holds RTNL and the wiphy mutex and calls brcmf_p2p_del_vif(), which disables discovery and waits up to 1.5 s for BRCMF_E_IF_DEL. Then it calls brcmf_remove_interface(), which unregisters the wdev and frees the vif and the ifp. - brcmf_detach() sets the bus down, so BRCMF_E_IF_DEL never arrives, and calls brcmf_remove_interface(ifp, false) for the same ifp. brcmf_p2p_ifp_removed() reads ifp->vif and then blocks on rtnl_lock(). When brcmf_p2p_del_vif() releases RTNL, it calls cfg80211_unregister_wdev() on the wdev that was already unregistered and freed. The second list_del_rcu() of wdev->list faults on LIST_POISON2: brcmfmac: brcmf_p2p_del_vif delete P2P vif brcmfmac: brcmf_p2p_deinit_discovery enter brcmfma

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet: use the local P2P device on metadata allocation failure nvmet_req_alloc_p2pmem_sgls() assigns req->p2p_dev only after the data and metadata SGL allocations succeed. If the data allocation succeeds but the metadata allocation fails, out_free_sg passes req->p2p_dev to pci_p2pmem_free_sgl() before that assignment has taken place. Pass the local p2p_dev argument instead, so cleanup uses the same PCI device as the successful data allocation.

Missing Authentication for Critical Function (CWE-306) and Missing Authorization (CWE-862) in the /libp2p-http ingress server (StartIngressServer in cmd/sam-node/node.go) in Google OSS Agent Mesh (SAM) versions 0.1.0-alpha.1 through 0.1.0-alpha.2 allow an unauthenticated remote libp2p peer to bypass Biscuit capability policy enforcement and invoke arbitrary registered backend services (including command/stdio-backed MCP servers, A2A, and inference endpoints). While the MCP protocol stream handler enforces WithBiscuitAuth and Authorize checks, the parallel /libp2p-http ingress routes requests directly to backend service handlers without verifying a Biscuit token or mesh enrollment. Oct 16, 2026libp2p-rust is the official Rust language implementation of the libp2p networking stack.CVE-2026-95859 · Other software · libp2p · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7
libp2p-rust is the official Rust language implementation of the libp2p networking stack. Prior to 0.49.5, Gossipsub GRAFT control-message handling unconditionally adds attacker-supplied topic hashes to connected_peer.topics without confirming that the peer previously subscribed to those topics. A remote unauthenticated peer that can reach a Gossipsub listener can repeatedly send novel GRAFT topics, causing cumulative per-peer memory growth that is not bounded by subscription filters, peer scoring, or per-message size limits. This can exhaust process memory and cause a denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 0.49.5.

Oct 15, 2026libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack.CVE-2026-103936 · Other software · libp2p · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack. Prior to 6.0.28, the @libp2p/webrtc webRTCDirect() Node.js listener processes unauthenticated STUN Binding Requests before PeerId authentication, Noise, muxing, protocol negotiation, connection creation, or connection-manager admission. The listener in packages/transport-webrtc/src/private-to-public/utils/stun-listener.ts forwards the packet-controlled request.ufrag into DirectRTCPeerConnection.setLocalDescription, where the value is reused as an ICE password without validating its required length and character set. A short credential causes node-datachannel or libdatachannel to raise an uncaught native invalid_argument and abort the process with SIGABRT, allowing a single remote UDP packet to deny service. The confirmed impact is process termination only, with no demonstrated memory corruption, code execution, browser impact, confidentiality impact, integrity impact, or connection-limit bypass. This issue is fixed in version 6.0.28.

Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: wilc1000: fix out-of-bounds read in P2P public action frames wilc_wfi_p2p_rx() and mCVE-2026-98190 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: wilc1000: fix out-of-bounds read in P2P public action frames wilc_wfi_p2p_rx() and mgmt_tx() start parsing a frame once ieee80211_is_public_action() returns true. That helper only verifies the frame is long enough for the action category field, that is offsetofend(struct ieee80211_mgmt, u.action.category), 25 bytes. Both functions then read the P2P public action header up to oui_subtype at offset 30 and pass "size - ie_offset" to cfg80211_find_vendor_ie(), where ie_offset is offsetof(struct ieee80211_mgmt, u) + sizeof(*d), i.e. 32. A public action frame of 25 to 31 bytes passes the check but is shorter than that 32 byte header, so oui_subtype can be read out of bounds, and because the length is unsigned, "size - ie_offset" underflows to a value close to 4 GiB. cfg80211_find_vendor_ie() takes an unsigned int length, so even the size_t subtraction in mgmt_tx() is truncated to the same value. It then walks far past the buffer searching for a vendor element until it reaches unmapped memory. In the receive path the frame arrives over the air and needs no association, so a nearby unauthenticated device can cras

Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: fix P2P-Device binding handling Our binding handling for P2P-Device caCVE-2026-97432 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: fix P2P-Device binding handling Our binding handling for P2P-Device can run into the following scenario, as observed by our testing: - a station interface is connected on some channel - the P2P-Device does a remain-on-channel (ROC) on that channel - the ROC ends, and the P2P-Device is removed from the binding, but the phy_ctxt pointer is left around as a PHY cache so we don't need to recalibrate to the channel again and again in case it's not shared - a binding update by the station interface, even a removal, will re-add the P2P-Device to the binding - the P2P-Device is removed, which removes the PHY context, but it's still in the binding so the firmware crashes Since the P2P device is removed from the binding and only re- added by unrelated code, but we want to keep the phy_ctxt around as a cache for future ROC usage, fix it by adding a boolean that indicates whether or not the P2P-Device should be added to the binding, and handle that in the binding iterator. That way, the station interface cannot re-add the P2P-Device to the binding when that isn't active.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: stop PMSR before P2P and NAN teardown PMSR request teardown must abort active measurements while the wireless_dev is still present in the driver. cfg80211_leave_locked() and cfg80211_stop_pd() already do this before invoking the driver's stop callback, but cfg80211_stop_p2p_device() and cfg80211_stop_nan() do not. Those helpers are also called directly by nl80211, rfkill shutdown, and wireless_dev unregister paths. If one of these paths stops a P2P device or NAN interface with a pending request, it removes the mac80211 subinterface from the driver first. Subsequent request cleanup cannot reach the lower driver's abort callback, but cfg80211 frees the request regardless. Driver state can then retain a stale request and use it when it later reports a result. Call cfg80211_pmsr_wdev_down() before stopping the P2P device or NAN interface. This keeps lower-driver request state and cfg80211 request ownership in sync for all of the helpers' callers.

Sep 17, 2026libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack.CVE-2026-86040 · Other software · libp2p · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack. Prior to 11.0.26, @libp2p/floodsub accepts unauthenticated RPC frames on /floodsub/1.0.0 through PeerStreams.attachInboundStream in packages/floodsub/src/peer-streams.ts without protobuf element limits, then processRpc and processRpcSubOpt in packages/floodsub/src/floodsub.ts synchronously process the subscriptions array without a per-frame cap. A single bounded-size frame can decode into millions of empty subscription entries that block the event loop, while hundreds of thousands of unique-topic SUBSCRIBE entries allocate PeerSet objects in this.topics that are not removed after peer removal or stop. Empty entries cause CPU exhaustion but do not grow this.topics; persistent memory growth requires unique topics. The subscription path bypasses message signature validation and the message-only processing queue, allowing a remote peer to cause sustained CPU denial of service, memory exhaustion, out-of-memory termination, and node unavailability. The issue is fixed in version 11.0.26.

Sep 17, 2026libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack.CVE-2026-86039 · Other software · libp2p · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2
libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack. From 8.0.0 until 12.0.24, @libp2p/peer-store in packages/peer-store/src/index.ts uses consumePeerRecord to verify a RecordEnvelope signature but does not require PeerRecord.peerId in the signed payload to equal the signer peer ID derived by RecordEnvelope.openAndCertify. The expectedPeer option checks only the envelope signer, and the gossipsub Peer Exchange path can provide the attacker's own peer ID as expectedPeer. An attacker can therefore sign a record with the attacker's key, place a victim peer ID and attacker-controlled multiaddrs in the payload, and have certified addresses stored for the victim. The poisoned addresses can cause address-book corruption, dial redirection or failure, routing manipulation, and reachability disruption, although the connection upgrade still verifies remote peer identity and prevents a complete identity takeover. The issue is fixed in version 12.0.24.

Sep 17, 2026libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack.CVE-2026-86038 · Other software · libp2p · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack. From 15.0.0 until 16.0.5, @libp2p/gossipsub uses the default StrictSign policy in packages/gossipsub/src/utils/buildRawMessage.ts, where validateToRawMessage verifies a signature with attacker-controlled msg.key but skips binding that key to msg.from when the claimed author is an RSA peer ID that does not inline a public key. An unauthenticated attacker can place a victim RSA peer ID in msg.from, sign the message with the attacker's private key, and supply the attacker's public key in msg.key, causing the message to be accepted and propagated as authored by the victim. Applications that trust message.from for validators, authorization, accounting, moderation, reputation, or audit logging can process attacker-controlled data under false origin attribution. The issue is fixed in version 16.0.5.

Sep 15, 2026libp2p-rust is the official Rust language implementation of the libp2p networking stack.CVE-2026-61544 · Other software · libp2p · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2
libp2p-rust is the official Rust language implementation of the libp2p networking stack. Prior to 0.13.1, libp2p-quic could panic during an inbound QUIC handshake when a remote peer presented a valid short-lived libp2p TLS certificate and delayed the final TLS 1.3 handshake fragment until after the certificate expired. In the Quinn post-handshake upgrade path, transports/quic/src/connection/connecting.rs called libp2p_tls::certificate::parse a second time in remote_peer_id and used expect on the result. The repeated wall-clock validity check could reject the now-expired certificate, causing the expect call to terminate any application exposing an affected libp2p-quic listener. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.13.1.

Sep 15, 2026Dragonfly is an open source P2P-based file distribution and image acceleration system.CVE-2026-54637 · Other software · dragonflyoss · reported by GitHubMedium 5.5
Dragonfly is an open source P2P-based file distribution and image acceleration system. Prior to 2.4.4-rc.3, the scheduler's default unauthenticated v1 gRPC flow accepts attacker-controlled PeerHost.Ip and PeerHost.DownPort values through RegisterPeerTask and ReportPeerResult, storeHost copies those values into resource.Host, and handlePeerSuccess invokes Peer.DownloadTinyFile() for a TINY task. DownloadTinyFile() in scheduler/resource/standard/peer.go builds an HTTP GET request from the supplied address without destination validation, allowing a remote attacker to probe loopback, link-local, and private services and place up to TinyFileSize, 128 bytes, of a response in Task.DirectPiece for later retrieval. PeerHost.DownPort is restricted to ports 1024 through 65534, and the issue provides read SSRF rather than remote code execution. The remediation blocks loopback and link-local targets, while RFC1918 destinations remain reachable because IsGlobalUnicast accepts private ranges. This issue is fixed in 2.4.4-rc.3.

Sep 15, 2026Dragonfly is an open source P2P-based file distribution and image acceleration system.CVE-2026-49254 · Other software · dragonflyoss · reported by GitHubLow 2.9
Dragonfly is an open source P2P-based file distribution and image acceleration system. Prior to 2.4.4, manager/router/router.go registers GET /api/v1/oauth and GET /api/v1/oauth/:id without jwt.MiddlewareFunc() or RBAC(), while manager/handlers/oauth.go returns models.Oauth records and manager/models/oauth.go exposes Oauth.ClientSecret as client_secret in JSON. When an administrator has configured a GitHub or Google OAuth provider, an unauthenticated network client can reach GetOauth or GetOauths, load the stored models.Oauth record, and obtain the provider's client secret, client identifier, and redirect URL. The earlier GHSA-j8hf-cp34-g4j7 remediation protected the /jobs group only and did not protect these OAuth GET handlers. Disclosure of client_secret can enable abuse of the configured identity-provider integration, subject to the provider's redirect URI restrictions. This issue is fixed in 2.4.4.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/dma-iommu: Fix wrong scatterlist length assignment in P2PDMA path In iommu_dma_map_sg(), when handling PCI P2PDMA cases, the DMA length of the current scatterlist segment `s` is incorrectly assigned from the head entry `sg->length` instead of the current entry `s->length`. This typo causes all P2PDMA segments in the scatterlist to inherit the length of the first segment, leading to corrupted DMA lengths for multi- segment scatterlists. Fix this by using `s->length` instead of `sg->length`.

Aug 13, 2026py-libp2p is the Python implementation of the libp2p networking stack.CVE-2026-73568 · Other software · libp2p · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
py-libp2p is the Python implementation of the libp2p networking stack. In 0.7.0 and earlier, the yamux handle_incoming() method in libp2p/stream_muxer/yamux/yamux.py reads an attacker-controlled 32-bit DATA frame length with read_exactly() before validating it against MAX_WINDOW_SIZE or checking whether stream_id exists. A peer that completes the standard Noise handshake can send a 12-byte frame declaring a 0xFFFFFFFF body and then withhold the body, causing the sequential yamux read loop used by the default new_host() configuration to block and preventing every stream on that connection from making progress. No fixed version is available as of this review.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: avoid putting unrelated P2P peer on socket release ovpn_peer_release_p2p() is called when an OVPN UDP socket is being destroyed. It checks the currently published P2P peer and releases it only if that peer still uses the socket being destroyed. A peer replacement can publish a new peer before the old UDP socket is destroyed. When the old socket destruction path runs afterwards, ovpn_peer_release_p2p() observes the new peer through ovpn->peer. Since the new peer uses a different socket, the function takes the socket mismatch branch. That branch still calls ovpn_peer_put(peer). At this point, however, peer is the currently published replacement peer, not the peer associated with the socket being destroyed. Dropping its reference can free it while ovpn->peer still points to it, leading to later use-after-free accesses from the peer and socket cleanup paths. KASAN reports this as a slab-use-after-free on the kmalloc-1k ovpn_peer object. In the reproducer, the object is allocated from ovpn_peer_new() via ovpn_nl_peer_new_doit(), and freed through ovpn_peer_release_rcu() from RCU callback processing. Observed

libp2p is a JavaScript Implementation of libp2p networking stack. Prior to version 16.2.6, an unauthenticated remote peer can exhaust the disk storage of any @libp2p/kad-dht node running in server mode by sending an unbounded stream of PUT_VALUE messages whose keys bypass all content validation. No credentials, no prior relationship, and no protocol deviation beyond a crafted key are required. The victim node's datastore fills until the host disk is exhausted, making the node unavailable. This issue has been patched in version 16.2.6.

Apr 22, 2026Nimiq's network-libp2p is a Nimiq network implementation based on libp2p.CVE-2026-34063 · Other software · nimiq · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
Nimiq's network-libp2p is a Nimiq network implementation based on libp2p. Prior to version 1.3.0, `network-libp2p` discovery uses a libp2p `ConnectionHandler` state machine. the handler assumes there is at most one inbound and one outbound discovery substream per connection. if a remote peer opens/negotiate the discovery protocol substream a second time on the same connection, the handler hits a `panic!(\"Inbound already connected\")` / `panic!(\"Outbound already connected\")` path instead of failing closed. This causes a remote crash of the networking task (swarm), taking the node's p2p networking offline until restart. The patch for this vulnerability is formally released as part of v1.3.0. No known workarounds are available.

Apr 22, 2026TextP2P Texting Widget: Cross-Site Request ForgeryCVE-2026-4133 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The TextP2P Texting Widget plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to and including 1.7. This is due to missing nonce validation in the imTextP2POptionPage() function which processes settings updates. The form at line 314 does not include a wp_nonce_field(), and the POST handler at line 7 does not call check_admin_referer() or wp_verify_nonce() before processing settings changes. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to update all plugin settings including chat widget titles, messages, API credentials, colors, and reCAPTCHA configuration via a forged request, granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking a link.

Apr 17, 2026Emissary is a P2P based data-driven workflow engine.CVE-2026-35582 · Other software · NationalSecurityAgency · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
Emissary is a P2P based data-driven workflow engine. In versions 8.42.0 and below, Executrix.getCommand() is vulnerable to OS command injection because it interpolates temporary file paths into a /bin/sh -c shell command string without any escaping or input validation. The IN_FILE_ENDING and OUT_FILE_ENDING configuration keys flow directly into these paths, allowing a place author who can write or modify a .cfg file to inject arbitrary shell metacharacters that execute OS commands in the JVM process's security context. The framework already sanitizes placeName via an allowlist before embedding it in the same shell string, but applies no equivalent sanitization to file ending values. No runtime privileges beyond place configuration authorship, and no API or network access, are required to exploit this vulnerability. This is a framework-level defect with no safe mitigation available to downstream implementors, as Executrix provides neither escaping nor documented preconditions against metacharacters in file ending inputs. This issue has been fixed in version 8.43.0.

libp2p-rust is the official rust language Implementation of the libp2p networking stack. Prior to version 0.49.4, the Rust libp2p Gossipsub implementation contains a remotely reachable panic in backoff expiry handling. After a peer sends a crafted PRUNE control message with an attacker-controlled, near-maximum backoff value, the value is accepted and stored as an Instant near the representable upper bound. On a later heartbeat, the implementation performs unchecked Instant + Duration arithmetic (backoff_time + slack), which can overflow and panic with: overflow when adding duration to instant. This issue is reachable from any Gossipsub peer over normal TCP + Noise + mplex/yamux connectivity and requires no further authentication beyond becoming a protocol peer. libp2p-rust is the official rust language Implementation of the libp2p networking stack. In versions prior to 0.49.3, the Gossipsub implementation accepts attacker-controlled PRUNE backoff values and may perform unchecked time arithmetic when storing backoff state. A specially crafted PRUNE control message with an extremely large backoff (e.g. u64::MAX) can lead to Duration/Instant overflow during backoff update logic, triggering a panic in the networking state machine. This is remotely reachable over a normal libp2p connection and does not require authentication. Any application exposing a libp2p Gossipsub listener and using the affected backoff-handling path can be crashed by a network attacker that can reach the service port. The attack can be repeated by reconnecting and replaying the crafted control message. This issue has been fixed in version 0.49.3.
