Oct 27, 2026Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers.CVE-2026-116672 · Other software · authlib · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers. From 0.15 until 1.9.1, the documented ClientConfigurationEndpoint.authenticate_client and ClientConfigurationEndpoint.check_permission reference implementations look up a target client from request-controlled client_id data and check only whether that target is editable, without verifying that request.credential belongs to the target client. Deployments following both examples can allow a client holding any valid registration access token to read, modify, or delete another client's registration. Changing redirect_uris can enable authorization code or token interception, while deleting registrations can deny service to affected clients. This issue is fixed in version 1.9.1.

Oct 22, 2026Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers.CVE-2026-114620 · Other software · authlib · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4
Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers. Prior to 1.9.0, Authlib's RFC 9101 JWTAuthenticationRequest passes the unauthenticated, client-controlled request_uri parameter to the abstract get_request_object() hook before applying a destination or registration policy; the hook itself performs no network request, while the documentation demonstrates an unrestricted HTTP fetch. In deployments whose integrator implements that hook as an unrestricted outbound fetch, a remote attacker who knows a valid public client identifier can make the authorization server request internal, link-local, or otherwise unintended URLs and can distinguish fetch outcomes through different error responses and timing. Deployments whose custom hook already applies a secure allowlist, destination controls, and retrieval limits are not affected. The JWTAuthenticationRequest implementation in authlib/oauth2/rfc9101/authorization_server.py forwards request_uri to get_request_object() before an application-approved retrieval policy accepts the destination. This issue is fixed in version 1.9.0.

Oct 22, 2026Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers.CVE-2026-114619 · Other software · authlib · reported by GitHubMedium 4.6
Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers. Prior to 1.9.0, OpenIDImplicitGrant.validate_authorization_request() checks the client-controlled raw request.payload.scope for openid after the parent grant has filtered allowed scopes into request.scope. A registered client permitted an ID token response type but not the openid scope can add openid to the request, obtain user consent, and receive a signed ID token containing the user's subject and allowed profile claims. Authorization code flow and deployments that allow openid for every client permitted an ID token response are not affected. In authlib/oidc/core/grants/implicit.py, OpenIDImplicitGrant.validate_authorization_request() checks request.payload.scope instead of the filtered request.scope. This issue is fixed in version 1.9.0.

Oct 22, 2026Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers.CVE-2026-114618 · Other software · authlib · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8
Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers. Prior to 1.9.0, the default RFC 7523 JWTBearerGrant.get_audiences() returns an empty list, causing JWTBearerGrant.verify_claims() to require only that an aud claim exists without matching the current authorization server. An attacker holding a legitimate assertion for another service can present it to a server that shares the signing key and uses the default grant, obtaining an access token across a trust boundary. Implementations that override get_audiences() with the server's valid audience identifiers are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.9.0.

Oct 22, 2026Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers.CVE-2026-114617 · Other software · authlib · reported by GitHubMedium 4.2
Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers. Prior to 1.9.0, OpenIDMixin.parse_id_token() reads the nonce_supported decision from the untrusted ID token being validated and sets the expected nonce to null when that claim is the JSON boolean false. In implicit and hybrid relying parties, or applications that directly accept externally supplied ID tokens, an attacker with a captured validly signed token can bypass the nonce-to-session binding and replay the victim's token into an attacker-controlled session. Plain authorization code flow is not affected, and the token must still pass signature, issuer, and audience validation. OpenIDMixin.parse_id_token() trusts nonce_supported in both authlib/integrations/base_client/sync_openid.py and authlib/integrations/base_client/async_openid.py to disable the expected nonce. This issue is fixed in version 1.9.0.

Oct 22, 2026Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers.CVE-2026-114616 · Other software · authlib · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4
Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers. Prior to 1.9.1, Authlib's OctKey.import_key() and HMAC signing and verification path accept zero-length key material. If an application's secret lookup can return an empty string or empty bytes, a remote attacker can compute the deterministic HS256, HS384, or HS512 signature for arbitrary token claims and have Authlib treat the token as authentic. This issue is fixed in version 1.9.1.

Oct 22, 2026Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers.CVE-2026-114615 · Other software · authlib · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4
Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers. From 1.3.1 until 1.9.0, OctKey.import_key() checks asymmetric-key markers only at byte zero while Authlib's PEM loaders accept leading whitespace, comments, or a byte-order mark. In deployments that use the documented mixed algorithm registry and already configure verification with PEM or certificate bytes containing such a prefix, an unauthenticated attacker who knows those same public-key bytes can use them as an HMAC secret and forge HS256 tokens with arbitrary identity or authorization claims. This is a bypass of the remediation for CVE-2024-37568. The module-level jwt object reaches OctKey.import_key() in authlib/jose/rfc7518/oct_key.py, where POSSIBLE_UNSAFE_KEYS fails to identify prefixed asymmetric key material. This issue is fixed in version 1.9.0.

Oct 22, 2026Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers.CVE-2026-114614 · Other software · authlib · reported by GitHubLow 2.6
Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers. From 0.13 until 1.8.0, authlib.common.security.is_secure_transport() uses a textual prefix comparison for loopback HTTP exemptions, so a URL whose userinfo begins with a loopback host can be accepted even when its parsed host is an external non-loopback system. An external party able to supply a URL to OIDC RP-Initiated Logout registration, authorization-server metadata validation, or another call site can bypass the TLS-required guard and cause cleartext redirection or acceptance of cleartext endpoints. The issue does not bypass redirect URI exact matching and does not by itself forge tokens or authenticate users. The vulnerable authlib.common.security.is_secure_transport() implementation in authlib/common/security.py misinterprets the userinfo component before OIDC RP-Initiated Logout dynamic client registration and other consumers enforce transport security. This issue is fixed in version 1.8.0.

Oct 18, 2026The Gitea OpenID association callback in the security settings accepted a positive OpenID 2.0 assertion without checking that the signed-in user had started theCVE-2026-104627 · Other software · Gitea · reported by 88ee5874-cf24-4952-aea0-31affedb7ff2Medium 5.4
The Gitea OpenID association callback in the security settings accepted a positive OpenID 2.0 assertion without checking that the signed-in user had started the linking. Because OpenID 2.0 allows unsolicited assertions, an attacker-controlled OpenID provider could attach the attacker's identity to the account of a signed-in victim who opened a crafted link, and the attacker could then sign in as the victim through OpenID login, which does not apply the local TOTP or WebAuthn checks. The callback now requires a time-limited `state` value bound to the user.

When OpenID sign-in is enabled, Gitea processes unauthenticated assertion parameters and sends an HTTP POST request to the caller-supplied OpenID provider endpoint during verification. An attacker controls the destination and much of the form body, allowing interaction with internal HTTP services reachable from the Gitea server. The response is not returned to the attacker, so the issue is blind SSRF; its impact depends on the services and network addresses the server can reach.

Oct 14, 2026Gitea's OpenID connect handler accepts a user's password without enforcing enrolled TOTP or WebAuthn verification before completing sign-in and linking an OpenICVE-2026-73535 · Other software · Gitea · reported by 88ee5874-cf24-4952-aea0-31affedb7ff2High 8.8
Gitea's OpenID connect handler accepts a user's password without enforcing enrolled TOTP or WebAuthn verification before completing sign-in and linking an OpenID identifier. When OpenID sign-in is enabled, an attacker who knows the victim's password can obtain a session and link an attacker-controlled identifier. The attacker can then sign in through that identifier without the victim's password or second factor, and a password change does not remove the link.

Gitea's OAuth2 and OpenID Connect sign-in paths do not require a WebAuthn challenge when WebAuthn is the account's only configured second factor. A party able to authenticate through the affected external identity flow can obtain a full session without the passkey verification enforced during password login. Sep 15, 2026OpenDJ is an LDAPv3 compliant directory service.CVE-2026-46495 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubCritical 9.2
OpenDJ is an LDAPv3 compliant directory service. Prior to 5.1.1, the JMX RMI connector in opendj-server-legacy/src/main/java/org/opends/server/protocols/jmx/RmiConnector.java processes attacker-controlled credential objects before authentication without a restrictive jmx.remote.rmi.server.credentials.filter.pattern, and RmiAuthenticator.authenticate in opendj-server-legacy/src/main/java/org/opends/server/protocols/jmx/RmiAuthenticator.java accepts an unconstrained Object array rather than a two-element String[]. When the JMX Connection Handler is enabled and its TCP listener is reachable, an unauthenticated remote attacker can submit a crafted serialized Java object and achieve code execution in the OpenDJ server process. The handler is disabled by default, and successful exploitation depends on the runtime classpath and Java version; remote code execution was demonstrated against OpenDJ 4.4.15 on JDK 11 with Jackson 2.12.6.1. This issue is fixed in 5.1.1.

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. From 13.0.0 until 16.1.2, the OAuth2 authorize endpoint's display=wap consent page reflects request-derived values through ConsentRequiredResource and wap/authorize.ftl without HTML escaping. An attacker can induce a user with an active OpenAM session to follow a crafted authorization link and execute JavaScript in the OpenAM origin, enabling session or cookie theft, CSRF-token disclosure, and actions with the victim's privileges. Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.2, WebAuthnAuthentication.deserialize applies an ObjectInputFilter that allows every serialized object at depth greater than 1 and therefore constrains only an AuthenticatorImpl root object. A pre-authentication attacker can supply a userHandle whose serialized graph has a valid AuthenticatorImpl root and a nested gadget class, causing readObject or readResolve execution before the cast and assertion verification when a usable gadget is on the classpath. This bypasses the incomplete remediation for the earlier WebAuthn deserialization vulnerability. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.2.

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, AuthorizationCodeGrantTypeHandler requires a code_verifier only when the realm-wide codeVerifierEnforced setting is enabled, even when an authorization code stores a code_challenge. Because that setting is disabled by default, an attacker who intercepts a PKCE-protected authorization code can omit code_verifier and redeem the code, while an explicitly incorrect verifier is rejected. Prior to 16.1.1, the OAuth2 authentication module updates an existing local account with profile attributes that can include userPassword and inetUserStatus, rewriting the password to the username and reactivating disabled accounts. The missing OAuth.removeRestrictedAccountUpdateAttributes filtering permits these credential and status fields to reach the account update. With account creation enabled, repeated OAuth login causes the default ldapService chain to accept the username as both identifier and password, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to take over the local account without interacting with the identity provider. The rewrite can be denied for usernames shorter than the configured minimum password length. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-46619 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, MSISDNValidation in the MSISDN authentication module concatenates the request-supplied MSISDN value into an LDAP search filter without escaping, while the default empty trusted-gateway list allows all traffic. In a realm where an MSISDN module is enabled in a reachable authentication chain, an unauthenticated remote attacker can inject LDAP filter metacharacters, select an arbitrary matching user, and obtain a normal authenticated OpenAM session without a password. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-46498 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubHigh 7.6
Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, OAuthTokenStore reads caller-supplied token identifiers from the shared Core Token Store (CTS) without an OAuth-only namespace, and OAuthAdapter accepts a row whose BLOB claims to contain an OAuth token without binding the trusted CTS type or verifying integrity. An attacker who can place controlled JSON in CTS under a known token identifier, such as through Push Registration followed by an anonymous SNS callback in an enabled realm, can mint OAuth bearer tokens and OpenID Connect ID tokens with chosen subject, client, realm, and scope. The flaw does not by itself create an OpenAM SSO session or grant console access. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-45794 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7
Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, the anonymous Push Notification SNS callback handled by SnsMessageResource falls back to a CTS predicate blob after a messageId expires from the in-memory dispatcher, treats top-level blob keys as Java class names for Class.forName, and deserializes attacker-controlled JSON through Jackson. A low-privileged user who starts Push Registration and obtains the messageId, shared secret, and challenge can wait for expiry, replace the persistent blob through anonymous callbacks, and trigger class loading and construction in the OpenAM JVM. The primitive can cause classpath-dependent process execution, file writes, or denial of service, although command execution was not confirmed on the tested stock classpath. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-45052 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, the Liberty Web Services SOAP receiver permits unauthenticated remote requests to write persistent entries through SOAPReceiver and DiscoveryService into a user's Liberty Discovery store and the shared root-realm Discovery branch. The server-side handlers bypass requester LDAP and identity ACLs, and the global path uses an internal administrative token. Deployments that consume Liberty discovery data can subsequently use manipulated service-routing or security-mechanism records. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-45051 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubCritical 9.2
Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, WebAuthnAuthentication loads a serialized AuthenticatorImpl object graph from the configured userAttribute through loadAuthenticators without an ObjectInputFilter. Exploitation requires the WebAuthn flow to be reachable and an attacker to have previously written controlled data to that attribute through delegated administration, provisioning, directory access, legacy REST self-registration, or unsafe configuration. When those non-default conditions hold, the data is deserialized before assertion verification and can execute a classpath gadget in the application server process. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-45048 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5
Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, SessionRequestHandler in the session management endpoint does not enforce ownership or privilege checks when a low-privileged authenticated user queries session information in deployments using stateful session storage. A requester who knows a target identity identifier can retrieve another user's active session credentials, including credentials for a more privileged account, and use them to hijack that session. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, the /sessionservice addSessionListener operation allows an authenticated user to register an arbitrary notification URL without requiring an administrative or application client token. SessionRequestHandler passes the attacker-controlled destination to the session listener service, causing the OpenAM server to make outbound requests and potentially disclose session-related notification data to an attacker-controlled destination. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, IdentityResourceV1.queryCollection() passes the _queryId parameter from /json/{realm}/users to CrestQuery with escapeQueryId disabled, bypassing protection added for CVE-2021-29156. The unescaped value reaches DJLDAPv3Repo.getFilter(), where it is concatenated into an LDAP filter, allowing an authenticated attacker to inject LDAP metacharacters for user enumeration and blind LDAP injection. Sep 8, 2026OpenIDC/cjose is a C library implementing the Javascript Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE).CVE-2026-53939 · Other software · OpenIDC · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1
OpenIDC/cjose is a C library implementing the Javascript Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE). In versions 0.6.1 through 0.6.2.5, when cjose encrypts a JWE using an AES-CBC-HMAC content-encryption algorithm (`A128CBC-HS256`, `A192CBC-HS384`, or `A256CBC-HS512`) together with any key-management algorithm that generates a fresh content-encryption key (CEK), the CEK is all zero bytes instead of being randomly generated. The resulting JWE is therefore encrypted and authenticated under a fixed, publicly known key, so anyone who obtains the JWE can recover the plaintext and forge or modify the content. This is fixed in version 0.6.2.6 by `_cjose_jwe_set_cek_aes_cbc()` generating the CEK from `RAND_bytes`. A regression test asserts that the `encrypted_key` differs across two encryptions for each AES-CBC-HMAC variant. Until upgrading, for data encrypted with cjose, three options are available. Use an AES-GCM `enc` (`A128GCM` / `A192GCM` / `A256GCM`) instead of an AES-CBC-HMAC `enc`, use `alg=dir` with a caller-supplied CEK, or avoid using cjose for JWE encryption with the affected algorithm pair. These are mitigations for new ciphertexts only; data already encrypted under the zero key rem

Sep 8, 2026OpenIDC/cjose is a C library implementing the Javascript Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE).CVE-2026-53938 · Other software · OpenIDC · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2
OpenIDC/cjose is a C library implementing the Javascript Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE). Prior to version 0.6.2.5, cjose's JWE decryption path for the AES Key Wrap key-management algorithms (`alg` = `A128KW`, `A192KW`, `A256KW`) does not validate the length of the attacker-supplied `encrypted_key` (JWE Encrypted Key) before unwrapping it into a fixed-size, heap-allocated Content Encryption Key (CEK) buffer. A remote, unauthenticated attacker who can submit a crafted JWE to an application that decrypts it with an AES-KW symmetric key can trigger an out-of-bounds heap write, corrupting the heap. This leads at minimum to a crash (denial of service) and, depending on the heap layout and allocator, may be leverageable for further memory-corruption impact. `cjose_jwe_import()` / `cjose_jwe_decrypt()` are pre-authentication entry points: they parse and process fully attacker-controlled input. Upgrade to cjose 0.6.2.5 to receive a patch. If upgrading is not immediately possible, reject the AES Key Wrap algorithms (`A128KW`/`A192KW`/`A256KW`) for untrusted JWEs at the application layer.

Sep 2, 2026Boruta is a standalone authorization server that aims to implement OAuth 2.0 and Openid Connect up to decentralized identity specifications.CVE-2026-55221 · Other software · malach-it · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
Boruta is a standalone authorization server that aims to implement OAuth 2.0 and Openid Connect up to decentralized identity specifications. Prior to version 0.10.0, Boruta logged sensitive OAuth and OpenID Connect values in business event logs. Logged values could include access tokens, refresh tokens, authorization codes, agent tokens, direct-post codes, ID tokens, VP tokens, and tokens submitted to introspection or revocation endpoints. An attacker with access to Boruta logs, log aggregation systems, or the administration log viewer could recover these credentials and use them until expiration or revocation. This issue has been patched in version 0.10.0.

Sep 2, 2026Boruta is a standalone authorization server that aims to implement OAuth 2.0 and Openid Connect up to decentralized identity specifications.CVE-2026-49249 · Other software · malach-it · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1
Boruta is a standalone authorization server that aims to implement OAuth 2.0 and Openid Connect up to decentralized identity specifications. Prior to version 0.10.0, BorutaIdentityWeb.UserSettingsController.update/2 atomizes every key of the user-supplied request body via String.to_atom/1 before any validation. Because String.to_atom interns atoms permanently in the BEAM atom table (default cap 1,048,576 atoms; ERL_MAX_ATOMS), any authenticated end user can send PUT /users/settings with a user[<fresh-key>]=... body containing fresh keys per request and exhaust the global VM atom table. Once the table is full, the BEAM aborts with no more index entries in atom_tab and the entire OIDC server (auth, admin, gateway apps in the umbrella) crashes. The route is protected only by require_authenticated_user and a per-IP rate limit of 10 requests/second; a logged-in end user can hit it. The keys are atomized unconditionally before the downstream Accounts.update_user/6 call, so even failing updates contribute to exhaustion. This issue has been patched in version 0.10.0.

Aug 25, 2026Doorkeeper OpenID Connect implements an OpenID Connect authentication provider for Rails applications on top of Doorkeeper.CVE-2026-70665 · Other software · doorkeeper-gem · reported by GitHubMedium 4.2
Doorkeeper OpenID Connect implements an OpenID Connect authentication provider for Rails applications on top of Doorkeeper. Prior to 1.10.4, the Dynamic Client Registration (DCR) endpoint persists client-supplied scopes without validating them against the server's configured scope set. Under certain conditions, this allows a self-registered client to obtain scopes beyond what the server intended to grant. In DynamicClientRegistrationController#application_params, the scopes attribute is assigned directly from params[:scope] with no validation against Doorkeeper.configuration.scopes or optional_scopes. Combined with enforce_configured_scopes being off by default and Doorkeeper's ScopeChecker prioritizing application-level scopes over server-level scopes, this creates a privilege escalation path. This issue is fixed in version 1.10.4.
