In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: nv: Fix null ptr deref on nested wp/unmap, teardown race Commit 7270cc9157f4 ("KVM: arm64: nv: Handle VNCR_EL2 invalidation from MMU notifiers") introduced VNCR_EL2 invalidation in both kvm_nested_s2_unmap() and kvm_nested_s2_wp(). However at the point of this being performed concurrent stage 2 teardown of a nested guest can cause kvm->arch.mmu.pgt to be set to NULL. This happens in kvm_flush_shadow_all() -> kvm_arch_flush_shadow_all() -> kvm_free_stage2_pgd() and is performed under the kvm->mmu_lock. Commit ec14c272408a ("KVM: arm64: nv: Unmap/flush shadow stage 2 page tables") introduced the teardown of the entire nested MMU range, which then invokes stage2_apply_range() with resched=true: mmu_notifier_invalidate_range_start() -> ... -> kvm_mmu_notifier_invalidate_range_start() -> kvm_mmu_unmap_gfn_range() -> kvm_unmap_gfn_range() -> kvm_nested_s2_unmap() -> kvm_stage2_unmap_range() -> __unmap_stage2_range() -> stage2_apply_range() This means that stage2_apply_range() can drop the kvm->mmu_lock and thus concurrent progress can be made in

Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix rmmio iounmap skipped on device removal amdgpu_pci_remove() calls drm_dev_CVE-2026-98179 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix rmmio iounmap skipped on device removal amdgpu_pci_remove() calls drm_dev_unplug() before fini_sw(), so drm_dev_enter() is already false there and the iounmap() guarded by it is skipped. This .remove path runs on both hot-unplug and plain rmmod, so the register BAR ioremap mapping leaks one instance per unload. Unmap rmmio unconditionally (guard only on non-NULL) and drop the now unused idx. (cherry picked from commit dd6f86a97260e5207d3329ad03aa89fdad61b1e6)

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pds_core: fix cmd_regs access racing BAR unmap on reset pdsc_reset_prepare() and pdsc_reseCVE-2026-98020 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pds_core: fix cmd_regs access racing BAR unmap on reset pdsc_reset_prepare() and pdsc_reset_done()'s pdsc_map_bars() error path clear/iounmap cmd_regs without devcmd_lock, and pdsc_legacy_firmware_update()'s download loop derefs cmd_regs after dropping and retaking the lock without re-checking. An FLR concurrent with a devlink flash can unmap cmd_regs under an in-flight devcmd, causing a NULL deref or a write to unmapped MMIO. Take devcmd_lock across the BAR unmap/remap, and re-check cmd_regs in the download loop. Only the PF maps cmd_regs and runs devcmd, so skip the unmap on a VF, as pdsc_remove() and pdsc_reset_done() already do. A reset that completes entirely within the unlocked window is not a correctness problem for the image: the device clears its update session, so a resumed download is rejected, and it verifies the staged image before writing a flash slot, reporting PDS_RC_BAD_FW rather than activating it. pdsc_unmap_bars() also clears info_regs, intr_status and intr_ctrl. The interrupt and start/stop readers of those are quiesced before the unmap by pdsc_fw_down(), which frees the interrupts and tea

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sunvdc: unmap LDC cookies when the descriptor send fails __send_request() maps the requestCVE-2026-97952 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sunvdc: unmap LDC cookies when the descriptor send fails __send_request() maps the request's pages into the LDC channel's map table (ldc_map_sg()), fills in the descriptor and marks it VIO_DESC_READY before ringing the doorbell via __vdc_tx_trigger(). When the trigger fails, the error path only prints a message: the descriptor stays READY and the cookies are never unmapped. The mapping is normally released in vdc_end_one() when the peer completes the descriptor - but a descriptor whose doorbell was never sent will never complete, and since dr->prod is not advanced on failure, the reset path (vdc_requeue_inflight(), which walks [cons, prod)) never visits it either. The map table entries are leaked permanently. Since commit a11f6ca9aef9 ("sunvdc: Do not spin in an infinite loop when vio_ldc_send() returns EAGAIN") trigger failures occur in practice under load, so every resulting I/O error also leaks one request's worth of entries from the fixed-size (8192 entries per channel) map table. Because the allocator hands out contiguous ranges, fragmentation makes large multi-segment requests fail first as the table drain

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/pagemap: dma-unmap pages before handling migration errors drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages() relies on the pages array to determine which pages require DMA unmapping. However, drm_pagemap_migration_unlock_put_pages() clears the array as part of its cleanup, leaving drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages() with no valid page information if it is called afterward. Call drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages() before drm_pagemap_migration_unlock_put_pages() so the pages array remains valid during DMA unmapping.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: Fix NPD issue on partial unmap of an evicted BO This commit fixes the NULL pointer dereference issue that would have happened on the split of GPU mapping due to partial unmap of an evicted BO. There is a logic to handle the partial unmap of huge pages when the GPU mapping is split. That logic was not being completely skipped for the VMA of an evicted BO and that resulted in a NPD possibility for the 'bo->backing.pages' pointer, which is set to NULL when pages of a BO are released on eviction. Following dump was seen when a partial unmap was exercised for an evicted BO. Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-fc: unmap cmd_iu DMA on rsp_iu mapping failure in init_request __nvme_fc_init_requestCVE-2026-90411 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-fc: unmap cmd_iu DMA on rsp_iu mapping failure in init_request __nvme_fc_init_request() maps cmd_iu and then rsp_iu for DMA. If the rsp_iu mapping fails, the original code only recorded the error and fell through: it left the already-mapped cmd_iu unmapped and still marked the op as FCPOP_STATE_IDLE before returning. Since blk-mq does not call .exit_request() when .init_request() fails, the cmd_iu mapping is leaked for every op whose rsp_iu mapping fails. Jump to an error path on rsp_iu mapping failure that unmaps cmd_iu and returns the error without marking the op idle, so it stays in the FCPOP_STATE_UNINIT state set by the initial memset().

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: dwc: ep: Flush cached MSI write before unmapping the iATU The MSI-X path already flusCVE-2026-90332 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.2
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: dwc: ep: Flush cached MSI write before unmapping the iATU The MSI-X path already flushes any posted MSI-X write before tearing down its iATU mapping. That was added by commit c22533c66cca ("PCI: dwc: ep: Flush MSI-X write before unmapping its ATU entry") to make sure the write reaches the Root Complex before the outbound window that translates it disappears. The MSI path has the same problem but no equivalent flush. When the Endpoint driver caches an MSI target address and later observes that the Root Complex has changed it, dw_pcie_ep_raise_msi_irq() unmaps the existing iATU entry and reprograms it for the new address. Between the last MSI writel() and the unmap there may still be a posted write sitting in the fabric, and unmapping the iATU entry can drop or misroute that write. Fix this by reading back from the mapped MSI window before the unmap. The readback drains any posted MSI writes through the same iATU entry that mapped them, which is the same logic the MSI-X path uses. [mani: commit log]

Sep 16, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Handle VNCR TLB invalidation race with vcpu_put() VNCR unmapping While VNCR TLCVE-2026-89917 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Handle VNCR TLB invalidation race with vcpu_put() VNCR unmapping While VNCR TLB invalidation always occurs under the MMU lock, vcpu_put() doesn't, while it unmaps the VNCR page. The problem is that the invalidation evaluates vncr_tlb::cpu to decide whether an unmapping needs to take place (cpu != -1) before performing it. On the other hand, this_cpu_reset_vncr_fixmap() unconditionally unmaps if L1_VNCR_MAPPED is set. These two obviously can race, with a TOCTOU pattern on the TLBI path, and a BUG_ON() on the vcpu_put() path. And the two can end-up calling vncr_fixmap(-1), with extra lethal effects. Move the reset of vncr_tlb::cpu to -1 to a common function, and make this update atomic so that only a single thread can reset the field and perform the corresponding unmap. The vcpu_put() still need to unconditionally unmap the current VNCR to close another ugly race. Finally, the assignment of vncr_tlb::cpu is moved to be kept in sync with the actual mapping, similar to L1_VNCR_MAPPED being set.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau/dmem: fix mismatched DMA unmap size for large folios Device-private THP migration maps migration buffers with page_size() and records that length in dma_info->size. For a compound folio page_size() is PAGE_SIZE << order, but two teardown sites still pass a literal PAGE_SIZE to dma_unmap_page(): - nouveau_dmem_migrate_to_ram() on the success path, and - nouveau_dmem_migrate_copy_one() on the copy-error path. For an order > 0 folio this unmaps less than was mapped, leaking the remainder of the IOMMU/IOVA mapping. The other unmap sites, in nouveau_dmem_migrate_chunk() and nouveau_dmem_evict_chunk(), already use the saved size; use it here too.

Sep 16, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau/uvmm: fix premature region free on failed OP_UNMAP_SPARSE In nouveau_uvmm_bindCVE-2026-89801 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau/uvmm: fix premature region free on failed OP_UNMAP_SPARSE In nouveau_uvmm_bind_job_submit()'s OP_UNMAP_SPARSE arm, op->reg is set from nouveau_uvma_region_find(), which only looks the region up and takes no reference; a region's sole reference is its membership in uvmm->region_mt. Two failure paths leave op->reg set: the -ENOENT check when the region is busy, and the drm_gpuvm_sm_unmap_ops_create() failure. The sibling nouveau_uvmm_sm_unmap_prepare() failure just below clears op->reg; these two do not. unwind_continue steps back one op, so the failing op is skipped by the unwind loop and its op->reg stays set. nouveau_uvmm_bind_job_cleanup() then enters its if (op->reg) branch and calls nouveau_uvma_region_remove() and nouveau_uvma_region_put() on it, dropping the tree's sole reference and freeing a region this job never created. The comment above the cleanup loop documents the broken invariant: op->reg must be NULL on submit failure. This frees a live region on an unrelated failure, reachable single-job when drm_gpuvm_sm_unmap_ops_create() returns -ENOMEM; if another job owns the same region, its c

Sep 16, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau/uvmm: clear the dirty flag when unwinding an OP_UNMAP_SPARSE A successful OP_UCVE-2026-89800 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau/uvmm: clear the dirty flag when unwinding an OP_UNMAP_SPARSE A successful OP_UNMAP_SPARSE marks its region dirty with nouveau_uvma_region_dirty() and defers the teardown to nouveau_uvmm_bind_job_cleanup(); it does not remove the region from uvmm->region_mt. If a later op in the job fails, the unwind path never clears reg->dirty (set in one place, cleared nowhere) and sets op->reg = NULL, so cleanup skips the teardown. The region is left in the tree with dirty set and its completion never signalled. Later binds over that range then fail permanently -- -ENOENT or -EINVAL from the dirty checks, or an unkillable wait_for_completion() in bind_validate_region() -- for the lifetime of the uvmm. Clear reg->dirty when the unwind reverts the sparse unmap, restoring the region to the state it was found in.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommufd: Avoid locking internal accesses during unmap iommufd_access_notify_unmap() skips internal accesses because they do not have an external unmap callback to invoke. However, the current test calls iommufd_lock_obj() before checking whether the access is internal. If iommufd_lock_obj() succeeds, the loop then sees the internal access and continues, bypassing the matching iommufd_put_object() used by the normal unmap path. This leaks the object reference taken by iommufd_lock_obj(). Check for internal accesses first so skipped entries are never locked.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Revert "PCI/MSI: Unmap MSI-X region on error" This reverts commit 1a8d4c6ecb4c81261bcdf13556abd4a958eca202. Commit 1a8d4c6ecb4c ("PCI/MSI: Unmap MSI-X region on error") added an iounmap(dev->msix_base) on the error path of msix_capability_init() to release the MSI-X region when msix_setup_interrupts() fails. When msix_setup_interrupts() fails, the call chain is: msix_setup_interrupts() -> __msix_setup_interrupts() struct pci_dev *dev __free(free_msi_irqs) = __dev; ... return ret; // __free cleanup fires on error The __free(free_msi_irqs) cleanup calls pci_free_msi_irqs(), which already handles the unmap: void pci_free_msi_irqs(struct pci_dev *dev) { pci_msi_teardown_msi_irqs(dev); if (dev->msix_base) { iounmap(dev->msix_base); // already unmapped here dev->msix_base = NULL; // and set to NULL } } So dev->msix_base is unmapped and set to NULL before msix_setup_interrupts() returns to msix_capability_init(). The "goto out_unmap" introduced by commit 1a8d4c6ecb4c ("PCI/MSI: Unmap MSI-X region on error") then calls iounmap() a s

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: misc: fastrpc: Remove buffer from list prior to unmap operation fastrpc_req_munmap_impl() is called to unmap any buffer. The buffer is getting removed from the list after it is unmapped from DSP. This can create potential race conditions if multiple threads invoke unmap concurrently, where one thread may remove the entry from the list while another thread's unmap operation is still ongoing. Fix this by removing the buffer entry from the list before calling the unmap operation. If the unmap fails, the entry is re-added to the list so that userspace can retry the unmap, or alternatively, the buffer will be cleaned up during device release when the DSP process is torn down and all DSP-side mappings are freed along with remaining buffers in the list.

Aug 21, 2026Reconmap's API applies a fallback authorization policy in apps/api/app/Program.cs that requires an authenticated user holding the administrator role, so controlCVE-2026-77767 · Other software · reconmap · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7
Reconmap's API applies a fallback authorization policy in apps/api/app/Program.cs that requires an authenticated user holding the administrator role, so controllers without their own attribute reject anonymous callers. The report preview action in apps/api/app/Controllers/ReportsController.cs carries [AllowAnonymous] and therefore opts out of that policy. PreviewReport loads the Project row named by the id path segment, loads the linked Organisation through the project's ClientId, and renders both into default-report-template.html, which prints the project name and description together with the client organisation's name, address and URL. No authentication, project membership or role check is performed. Because the id is the auto-increment primary key of the project table, an unauthenticated remote caller can walk sequential ids to retrieve the engagement details and client organisation of every project on the instance, and the 404 returned for a missing id reveals which project ids exist. Reconmap stores penetration-testing engagements, so the disclosed descriptions and client records are sensitive by nature.

In Nmap Scanner versions below 3.0.15, a user who holds a role that can edit, create, or run playbooks in Splunk SOAR could run the scan network action in a Safe Mode playbook while that action is listed as read-only, which could allow for command execution or other changes on a target system through Nmap Scripting Engine scripts. The vulnerability is possible because the Nmap Scanner connector action manifest classifies the scan network action as read-only even though the action accepts script parameters that can perform write operations. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/gpusvm: Reject VMAs with VM_IO or VM_PFNMAP when creating SVM ranges VMAs marked with VM_IO or VM_PFNMAP are not backed by struct page objects, which GPUSVM requires in order to operate correctly. In particular, get_pages() relies on hmm_range_fault() to resolve struct pages for the target range. Attempting to create an SVM range on such VMAs results in repeated get_pages() failures and can lead to an infinite loop inside a driver’s page‑fault handler. Prevent this by rejecting ranges on VM_IO or VM_PFNMAP VMAs and returning -EIO.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: refuse O_TMPFILE creation with an unmapped fsuid or fsgid vfs_tmpfile() never checked that the caller's fsuid and fsgid map into the filesystem. On an idmapped mount whose idmapping does not cover the caller's fs{u,g}id, the ->tmpfile() instance initializes the new inode through inode_init_owner(), where mapped_fsuid()/mapped_fsgid() return INVALID_UID/INVALID_GID, and the tmpfile ends up owned by (uid_t)-1. Every other creation path already refuses this: may_o_create() (O_CREAT) and may_create_dentry() (mkdir, mknod, symlink, link) bail out with -EOVERFLOW via fsuidgid_has_mapping() precisely so that an object cannot be created with an owner the filesystem cannot represent. An O_TMPFILE is no exception: it is created I_LINKABLE and linkat(2) can splice it into the namespace afterwards, so the same guarantee must hold. Add the missing fsuidgid_has_mapping() check to vfs_tmpfile(). On a non-idmapped mount the caller's fs{u,g}id always map in the superblock's user namespace, so this is a no-op there and only takes effect on an idmapped mount that does not map the caller. It applies to every filesystem tha

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Reject monmaps advertising zero monitors A message of type CEPH_MSG_MON_MAP contains a monmap that is sent from a monitor to the client. This monmap contains information about the existing monitors in the cluster. Currently, a monmap indicating that there are zero monitors in the cluster is treated as valid. However, it is impossible to have zero monitors in the cluster and still receive a valid monmap from a monitor. Therefore, such a monmap must be corrupted and should be treated as invalid. Furthermore, a monmap with a monitor count of zero can subsequently crash the client when attempting to open a session with a monitor in __open_session(). This happens because the "BUG_ON(monc->monmap->num_mon < 1)" assertion in pick_new_mon() is triggered. This patch extends a check in ceph_monmap_decode() to also reject arriving mon_maps with num_mon == 0 rather than only with num_mon > CEPH_MAX_MON. Lift the unmap error handling into iommu_map_nosync() and reorder it so the trace_map()/iommu_debug_map() records the partial mapping and then immediately unmaps it. This avoid creating the unbalanced tracking and provides saner tracing instead of a unmap unmatched to any map.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/memory: fix spurious warning when unmapping device-private/exclusive pages Device private and exclusive entries are only supported for anonymous folios. This condition is tested in __migrate_device_pages() and make_device_exclusive() using folio_test_anon(). However the unmap path tests this assumption using vma_is_anonymous(). This is wrong because whilst anonymous VMAs can only contain folios where folio_test_anon() is true the opposite relation does not hold. A folio for which folio_test_anon() is true does not imply vma_is_anonymous() is true. Such a condition can occur if for example a folio is part of a private filebacked mapping. In this case vma_is_anonymous() is false as the mapping is filebacked, but folio_test_anon() may be true, thus permitting devices to migrate the folio to device private memory. This can lead to the following spurious warnings during process teardown: [ 772.737706] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 772.739201] WARNING: mm/memory.c:1754 at unmap_page_range.cold+0x26/0x18a, CPU#17: hmm-tests/2041 [ 772.742050] Modules linked in: test_hmm nvidia_uvm(O) nvidia(O) [

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rbd: eliminate a race in lock_dwork draining on unmap Given how rbd_lock_add_request() and rbd_img_exclusive_lock() are written, lock_dwork may be (re)queued more than it's actually needed: for example in case a new I/O request comes in while we are in the middle of rbd_acquire_lock() on behalf of another I/O request. This is expected and with rbd_release_lock() preemptively canceling lock_dwork is benign under normal operation. A more problematic example is maybe_kick_acquire(): if (have_requests || delayed_work_pending(&rbd_dev->lock_dwork)) { dout("%s rbd_dev %p kicking lock_dwork\n", __func__, rbd_dev); mod_delayed_work(rbd_dev->task_wq, &rbd_dev->lock_dwork, 0); } It's not unrealistic for lock_dwork to get canceled right after delayed_work_pending() returns true and for mod_delayed_work() to requeue it right there anyway. This is a classic TOCTOU race. When it comes to unmapping the image, there is an implicit assumption of no self-initiated exclusive lock activity past the point of return from rbd_dev_image_unlock() which unlocks the lock if it happens to be held. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/rmap: initialize nr_pages to 1 at loop start in try_to_unmap_one Initialize nr_pages to 1 at the start of each loop iteration, like folio_referenced_one() does. Without this, nr_pages computed by a previous folio_unmap_pte_batch() call can be reused on a later iteration that does not run folio_unmap_pte_batch() again. mmap a 64K large folio with MAP_ANONYMOUS | MAP_DROPPABLE, then call madvise(MADV_FREE), then make the last page device-exclusive via HMM_DMIRROR_EXCLUSIVE. Trigger node reclaim through sysfs. Now, in try_to_unmap_one(), we will first clear the first 15 out of 16 entries mapping the lazyfree folio. This will set nr_pages to 15. In the next pvmw walk, this nr_pages gets reused on a device-exclusive pte, thus potentially corrupting folio refcount/mapcount. At the moment, I have a userspace program which can make the kernel spit out a trace, but the blow up is in folio_referenced_one(), because there are existing bugs in the interaction between device-private and rmap (which too I am investigating). I did a one liner kernel change to avoid going into folio_referenced_one(), and the kernel bl

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: zero-initialize GART table on allocation GART TLB is flushed after unmapping but not after mapping. Since amdgpu_bo_create_kernel() does not zero-initialize the buffer, when a single PTE is written the TLB may speculatively load other uninitialized entries from the same cacheline. Those garbage entries can appear valid, and a subsequent write to another PTE in the same cacheline may cause the GPU to use a stale garbage PTE from the TLB. Fix this by calling memset_io() to zero-initialize the GART table with gart_pte_flags immediately after allocation. Using AMDGPU_GEM_CREATE_VRAM_CLEARED, SDMA-based clear will not work since SDMA needs GART to be initialized to work. (cherry picked from commit d9af8263b82b6eaa60c5718e0c6631c5037e4b24)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/vma: do not try to unmap a VMA if mmap_prepare() invoked from mmap() The mmap_prepare hook functionality includes the ability to invoke mmap_prepare() from the mmap() hook of existing 'stacked' drivers, that is ones which are capable of calling the mmap hooks of other drivers/file systems (e.g. overlayfs, shm). As part of the mmap_prepare action functionality, we deal with errors by unmapping the VMA should one arise. This works in the usual mmap_prepare case, as we invoke this action at the last moment, when the VMA is established in the maple tree. However, the mmap() hook passes a not-fully-established VMA pointer to the caller (which is the motivation behind the mmap_prepare() work), which is detached. So attempting to unmap a VMA in this state will be problematic, with the most obvious symptom being a warning in vma_mark_detached(), because the VMA is already detached. It's also unncessary - the mmap() handler will clean up the VMA on error. So to fix this issue, this patch propagates whether or not an mmap action is being completed via the compatibility layer or directly. If the former, then we d

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: core: Fix integer overflow in UNMAP bounds check sbc_execute_unmap() checks LBA + range does not exceed the device capacity, but does not guard against LBA + range wrapping around on 64-bit overflow. Add an overflow check matching the pattern already used for WRITE_SAME in the same file.

May 8, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Use u32 for non-negative values in ceph_monmap_decode() This patch fixes unnecessCVE-2026-43405 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Use u32 for non-negative values in ceph_monmap_decode() This patch fixes unnecessary implicit conversions that change signedness of blob_len and num_mon in ceph_monmap_decode(). Currently blob_len and num_mon are (signed) int variables. They are used to hold values that are always non-negative and get assigned in ceph_decode_32_safe(), which is meant to assign u32 values. Both variables are subsequently used as unsigned values, and the value of num_mon is further assigned to monmap->num_mon, which is of type u32. Therefore, both variables should be of type u32. This is especially relevant for num_mon. If the value read from the incoming message is very large, it is interpreted as a negative value, and the check for num_mon > CEPH_MAX_MON does not catch it. This leads to the attempt to allocate a very large chunk of memory for monmap, which will most likely fail. In this case, an unnecessary attempt to allocate memory is performed, and -ENOMEM is returned instead of -EINVAL.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
