In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_queue: hold nfnl mutex in event notifier We must serialize the release notifier and the config netlink function. A concurrent thread can issue close() which can call the release function while unrelated socket processes UNBIND request for same portid: Oops: general protection fault, [..] RIP: 0010:__instance_destroy+0x60/0x210 [nfnetlink_queue] Call Trace: nfqnl_recv_config+0x9b0/0xdc0 [nfnetlink_queue] nfnetlink_rcv_msg+0x7c2/0xeb0 ? __pfx_nfnetlink_rcv_msg+0x10/0x10 After this, parallel UNBIND and URELEASE events are impossible. This change isn't nice, but its the shortest fix given instances are not refcounted and the nfnetlink config callback drops the rcu read lock early due to need for sleeping allocations.

  • Oct 15, 2026Game Music Emu (libgme) through 0.6.5 contains a global out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Classic_Emu::mute_voices_ that allows attackers to crash applicationCVE-2026-111153 · Other software · libgme · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.8

Game Music Emu (libgme) through 0.6.5 contains a global out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Classic_Emu::mute_voices_ that allows attackers to crash applications by supplying NSF files whose voice count exceeds the 16-entry voice-type table. Attackers can craft an NSF header with chip_flags 0x3F, opened through gme_open_data or gme_open_file, to read past the static array during loading and cause denial of service.

  • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: Fix potential UAF in pec_store Sashiko reports: In pec_store(), a guard(mutex)(&hwCVE-2026-98000 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: Fix potential UAF in pec_store Sashiko reports: In pec_store(), a guard(mutex)(&hwdev->lock) is taken. If the chip write operation returns an error other than -EOPNOTSUPP, the code jumps to the put label, which calls put_device(hdev). If this drops the final reference, the device is freed. When the function then returns, the guard cleanup function runs and attempts to unlock the freed mutex. Use scoped_guard() instead of guard() to avoid the problem.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7915: clear wcid mask under mutex after RCU pointer clear mt7915_remove_inteCVE-2026-90373 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7915: clear wcid mask under mutex after RCU pointer clear mt7915_remove_interface() cleared the wcid mask bit with no lock held and before clearing the RCU wcid pointer. The mask is a non-atomic RMW shared with the allocators, which all run under dev->mt76.mutex; on DBDC the two wiphys share one mt76_dev, so this raced add_interface/sta_add on the other band and could leak or double-hand-out a wcid. Clearing the bit before the RCU pointer also let a concurrent allocation reuse the index and publish its wcid, which the subsequent NULL assignment then wiped. Move the clear into the existing mutex section, after the RCU pointer is cleared.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7996: hold dev->mt76.mutex while disabling tx worker in SER mt7996_mac_reset_work() parked the tx worker and disabled the RX/TX NAPIs before taking dev->mt76.mutex. mt76_worker_disable()/_enable() are plain kthread park/unpark, not refcounted, and __mt76_set_channel() toggles the same worker and the MT76_RESET bit under the mutex. An L1 SER racing a channel switch could therefore have the worker unparked and MT76_RESET cleared while the reset path resets the DMA rings, corrupting descriptors or tokens. Take the mutex before disabling the worker, as mt7915 does.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rapidio: mport_cdev: fix use-after-free in dma_req_free() dma_req_free() acquires buf_mutex through req->map, drops the mapping reference with kref_put(), and then dereferences req->map again to unlock the mutex. If kref_put() drops the last reference, mport_release_mapping() frees the mapping, and the subsequent mutex_unlock() dereferences a freed object. This is a use-after-free. Fix this by caching map and md before kref_put(), clearing req->map while holding buf_mutex, and using the cached md for mutex unlocking. The bug is reachable from userspace via the RapidIO mport character device interface.

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7615: avoid waiting for mac work under the mt76 mutex mt7615_suspend() acquiCVE-2026-80938 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7615: avoid waiting for mac work under the mt76 mutex mt7615_suspend() acquired the mt76 mutex and then called cancel_delayed_work_sync() on mac_work. mt7615_mac_work() acquires the same mutex via mt7615_mutex_acquire() at the top of the worker, so if mac_work is already running and blocked on the mutex, the suspend path deadlocks waiting for the work it holds the mutex against. Flush scan_work and mac_work before taking the mutex, matching the suspend paths in mt7921 and mt7925. scan_work only takes the mt76 spinlock, but moving it keeps the sequence consistent. This also keeps mac_work from running over an already suspended HIF, which the previous split (async cancel under the lock, sync cancel after release) would have allowed.

  • Sep 10, 2026Transmute is a free, open-source, self-hosted file conversion and compression tool.CVE-2026-54054 · Other software · transmute-app · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Transmute is a free, open-source, self-hosted file conversion and compression tool. Prior to version 1.3.0, Transmute's URL import endpoint, `POST /api/files/url`, is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF). The HTTP downloader used by this endpoint fetches user-supplied URLs with redirects enabled and does not validate whether the target resolves to a public, external address. As a result, an authenticated user (or guest user if they are enabled) may be able to cause the Transmute server to make HTTP requests to internal or cloud-local resources from the server's network position. Because downloaded content is stored and can later be retrieved through `GET /api/files/{id}`, this issue can result in full-read SSRF rather than blind SSRF. This is fixed in version 1.3.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: take rfcomm_mutex for the deferred setup accept rfcomm_sock_recvmsg() completes a deferred setup by calling rfcomm_dlc_accept() without holding any RFCOMM lock: if (test_and_clear_bit(RFCOMM_DEFER_SETUP, &d->flags)) { rfcomm_dlc_accept(d); return 0; } and rfcomm_dlc_accept() dereferences the session on its first line: struct sock *sk = d->session->sock->sk; Every other path that touches d->session runs under rfcomm_mutex: rfcomm_dlc_open(), rfcomm_dlc_close(), rfcomm_dlc_exists(), rfcomm_dlc_send_rpn(), and the RFCOMM thread through rfcomm_process_sessions(). rfcomm_connect_ind() is even documented as "called under rfcomm_lock()". This call site is the only one that skips it. The RFCOMM_DEFER_SETUP bit looks like it serialises the accept against teardown, since __rfcomm_dlc_close() returns early when it wins the test_and_clear. But rfcomm_recv_disc() forces the state first: d->state = BT_CLOSED; __rfcomm_dlc_close(d, err); and the early return only covers BT_CONNECT, BT_CONFIG, BT_OPEN and BT_CONNECT2. With the state already BT_CLOSED that switch does not match, the bit is never

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: vub300: defer reset until cmd_mutex is unlocked vub300_cmndwork_thread() holds cmd_mutex while it sends a command and waits for the command response. If the response wait times out, __vub300_command_response() kills the command URBs and then synchronously resets the USB device through usb_reset_device(). That reset path re-enters the driver through vub300_pre_reset(), which also takes cmd_mutex. The worker therefore tries to acquire the same mutex recursively while it is still holding it from the command path. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio_ccw: Selectively expand io_mutex The io_mutex was defined to serialize the io_regions, but then has also sort of been associated with the I/O themselves because of the close relationship they share. With the handful of races that are possible, the choices are either to: A) expand the scope of io_mutex to close these remaining windows, or B) reduce the scope of io_mutex to just io_region, and introduce a new lock mechanism for the remaining I/O resources This patch implements A, since B brings with it a lot more interactions that would need to be tracked and kept in a correct hierarchy. It also takes advantage of the workqueue element for cp_free() that now gets called out of fsm_notoper(), which could be invoked out of an interrupt context and thus cannot acquire a mutex itself.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Preserve pointer state for commuted arithmetic When scalar += pointer is handled in adjust_ptr_min_max_vals(), the destination register inherits the pointer state from the source pointer. Copying only selected fields is fragile because pointer provenance is tracked by several bpf_reg_state fields. Use the caller's temporary offset register to preserve the scalar operand while replacing the destination with the full pointer state. This preserves the frame number for PTR_TO_STACK registers and keeps parent identity fields consistent.

  • Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: hold event_mutex while checkpointing CRIU events kfd_criu_checkpoint_events() CVE-2026-74446 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: hold event_mutex while checkpointing CRIU events kfd_criu_checkpoint_events() counts the entries in p->event_idr via kfd_get_num_events(), allocates an array sized to that count, and then walks the same IDR to fill it. Neither the count nor the walk holds p->event_mutex. The CRIU checkpoint caller holds only p->mutex. Event create and destroy (kfd_event_create()/kfd_event_destroy()) take p->event_mutex and do not take p->mutex, so a second thread in the same process can insert or remove events between the count and the walk. If an event is inserted, the walk iterates more entries than were counted and writes past the end of the ev_privs allocation; if an event is removed, the walk dereferences an entry that is being freed. Hold p->event_mutex across the count and the walk so both observe a consistent view of p->event_idr. The lock is released before copy_to_user(), which only touches the local buffer. The caller already holds p->mutex and the create/destroy paths never take p->mutex, so the p->mutex -> p->event_mutex order is not inverted and no deadlock is introduced. The PSA Protected Storage credential backend (subsys/net/lib/tls_credentials/tls_credentials_trusted.c) declared its credential-store mutex as a plain zero-filled static struct k_mutex credential_lock; and never called k_mutex_init() on it. A statically zero-filled k_mutex has an uninitialized wait queue (its dlist head/tail are NULL instead of the self-referential sentinels that k_mutex_init/K_MUTEX_DEFINE install). The uncontended lock path does not touch the wait queue, so the defect is latent and serialized use behaves correctly. When two execution contexts contend on the lock, k_mutex_lock() pends the blocking thread on the wait queue via z_pend_curr(), which calls sys_dlist_append() on the zeroed list and dereferences a NULL tail pointer (tail->next = node), faulting the kernel. The lock is held during TLS handshake credential loading and by all credential add/get/delete operations, so a deployment performing concurrent TLS handshakes (for example a server handling multiple simultaneous connections from a remote peer) or a credential-management operation concurrent with a handshake can trigger the dereference. The impact is a denial of service: a deterministic kernel panic

Affected versions of MISP cti-transmute expose several state-changing account operations as GET requests: * /account/follow * /account/delete_notification * /account/mark_notification_read * /account/mark_all_read These endpoints require authentication, but before the fix they could be invoked with simple GET requests. That makes them susceptible to cross-site request forgery because a third-party site can induce the victim’s browser to send authenticated GET requests automatically. The patch converts the actions to POST or DELETE and updates the frontend to include an X-CSRFToken header, providing explicit CSRF protection for those state-changing operations.

Affected versions of cti-transmute improperly handle conversion-table values passed through the search highlighting feature. The highlight() function previously returned the underlying text directly when no search query was supplied, or performed a regex replacement that inserted <mark> tags without first escaping the original content. Because the resulting value is used by an HTML-rendering sink, malicious markup contained in conversion data could be interpreted as HTML rather than displayed as text. The fix introduces a shared highlightMatches() helper that first converts special characters such as <, >, &, and quotes into HTML entities. Only after escaping does the code insert the application-controlled <mark> element used for search highlighting.

  • Aug 11, 2026Affected versions of cti-transmute contain an SSRF vulnerability in the /fetch_misp_event and /misp_search_events endpoints.CVE-2026-73160 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 8.7

Affected versions of cti-transmute contain an SSRF vulnerability in the /fetch_misp_event and /misp_search_events endpoints. The URL validation routine checked whether a supplied hostname was itself an IP literal and rejected private, loopback, link-local, or reserved IPs. However, ordinary domain names were accepted without resolving them first. An attacker could therefore use a hostname whose DNS record pointed to an internal address and cause the cti-transmute server to issue requests into its internal network. The commit explicitly states that anonymous callers could make the server request the internal target and read the response. The fix resolves hostnames using socket.getaddrinfo(), checks that every resolved address is globally routable, and additionally places @login_required on both affected MISP fetch/search routes.

Affected versions of cti-transmute allow a tag's icon value to be stored and later interpolated into HTML through Vue's v-html. The helper mapIcon() previously constructed an HTML string directly from the icon value: <i class="fas fa-${name}"></i> Because the icon is user-supplied, a crafted value could break out of the intended markup and inject attacker-controlled HTML. When the affected tag was later rendered, including on the administrative triage interface, the payload could execute in the viewer's browser. The patch mitigates the issue at multiple layers: v-html is replaced with Vue :class binding, mapIcon() now returns only a constrained FontAwesome class string, and the backend validates icons against the FontAwesome catalogue or a strict [a-z0-9-]{1,40} slug pattern before storing them.

Affected versions of cti-transmute insufficiently validate saved graph configuration data. Because saved configurations may be created by one user and later displayed to other users—including administrators—a malicious user could store a crafted svgIcon value that executes script in another viewer’s browser. The fix introduces a strict configuration schema on both the server and client. Only known properties are accepted, style entries are limited to shape, color, and size, and dangerous properties such as svgIcon and iconClass are explicitly rejected. Existing stored configurations are also sanitized when listed and again before being applied in the browser.

Affected versions of cti-transmute fail to HTML-escape attacker-controlled values used in ECharts Sunburst and Treemap tooltip formatters. Slice names may originate directly from STIX or MISP data, including STIX types, relationship_type, pattern prefixes, and MISP category/type values. Since ECharts interprets the formatter return value as HTML, crafted values can inject markup or script-capable content into the tooltip. An attacker who can cause malicious conversion data to be processed can therefore inject content that executes when another user views the visualization and hovers over the affected slice. The patch replaces direct interpolation with dedicated formatter functions that call escapeHtml() on p.name, p.data.value, and p.value.

Affected versions of cti-transmute allow authenticated users to add or remove emoji reactions on comments without first checking whether those users are authorized to view the target comment. The vulnerable react() handler passed an attacker-controlled comment_id directly to comments_repo.toggle_reaction() after only validating that the ID existed syntactically and that the requested emoji was permitted. Because comment-level visibility was not enforced, a user who could identify the ID of a private or otherwise inaccessible comment could modify reaction state on that comment despite lacking permission to access it. The fix retrieves the target comment, rejects missing or deleted comments, retrieves its associated conversion, and enforces access.can_see_comment(current_user, comment, conversion). Affected versions of cti-transmute fail to apply comment-level access-control rules when generating evaluation report exports. Although normal comment retrieval filters comments according to conversion visibility, comment privacy, ownership, authorship, and administrative privileges, build_evaluation_report() previously included all evaluation comments without applying those rules. Consequently, a user who was authorized to view a conversion could export its evaluation report as Markdown or PDF and obtain private evaluation comments that should only have been visible to the conversion owner, the comment author, or an administrator. CTI-Transmute is affected by a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the conversion graph used to visualise converted MISP and STIX content. Attacker-controlled values originating from converted CTI data were passed to multiple HTML-parsing sinks in the graph user interface without sufficient neutralisation. In particular, node labels, node sublabels, edge labels, node properties, edge properties, and node types could contain crafted HTML or JavaScript content. The Pivotick graph library renders some of these values through HTML-parsing operations. Consequently, a malicious value such as an HTML element containing an event handler could be interpreted as markup rather than displayed as plain text. The first remediation explicitly notes that Pivotick rendered node and edge labels as HTML and therefore introduced escaping before data was handed to the graph renderer. A separate vulnerable sink was present in the Open raw JSON functionality. The raw object associated with a graph node was inserted into a new document using document.write() and an interpolated HTML string. Crafted JSON content could therefore break out of the intended <pre> element and inject executable

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda: cs35l41: validate and free ACPI mute object cs35l41_get_acpi_mute_state() evaluates a _DSM method to get the ACPI mute state and reads the first byte from the returned object. However, the returned ACPI object is owned by the caller and is never freed after use, so each successful query leaks the _DSM result object. The code also assumes that the returned object is a buffer with at least one byte. A malformed firmware response can return a different object type or an empty buffer, and the direct ret->buffer.pointer dereference can then access an invalid pointer. Use the typed _DSM helper, validate that the returned buffer contains at least one byte, and free the ACPI object after reading it.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfp: Check resource mutex allocation nfp_cpp_resource_find() allocates a CPP mutex handle for the matching resource-table entry and then reports success. nfp_resource_try_acquire() immediately passes that handle to nfp_cpp_mutex_trylock(). However, nfp_cpp_mutex_alloc() returns NULL on failure. If that happens for a matching table entry, the resource lookup still returns success and the following trylock dereferences a NULL mutex pointer while opening the resource. nfp_resource_acquire() already treats failure to allocate the table mutex as -ENOMEM. Do the same for the resource mutex and fail the lookup before publishing the rest of the resource handle. This issue was found by a static analysis checker and confirmed by manual source review.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ftrace: Add global mutex to serialize trace_parser access In ftrace, the trace_parser structure is allocated and initialized when a trace file is opened, and is subsequently used across write and release handlers to parse user input. The affected handler paths and their specific functions are: - Open paths: ftrace_regex_open(), ftrace_graph_open() - Write paths: ftrace_regex_write(), ftrace_graph_write() - Release paths: ftrace_regex_release(), ftrace_graph_release() If userspace opens a trace file descriptor and shares it across multiple threads, concurrent write calls will race on the parser's internal state, specifically the 'idx', 'cont', and 'buffer' fields, leading to corrupted input or undefined behavior. Fix this by adding a global mutex, parser_lock, to serialize all access to trace_parser across write and release paths, preventing concurrent corruption of parser state.

CTI-Transmute contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability caused by insufficient neutralization of Vue template expression delimiters in server-rendered user-controlled data. An unauthenticated attacker can create a public conversion whose name or description contains a malicious Vue expression using the application's configured [[ ... ]] delimiters. User profile names may provide an additional injection vector. Although Jinja HTML escaping is applied, the resulting value is subsequently included in a DOM region compiled by Vue. Vue interprets the attacker-controlled value as a template expression rather than ordinary text. By accessing the JavaScript Function constructor from within the expression, an attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the security context of the CTI-Transmute origin. The application's nonce-based Content Security Policy does not prevent exploitation because the Vue runtime compiler requires the unsafe-eval policy exception. The malicious payload is stored by the application and executed whenever another user opens an affected page, such as the public conversion detail page. CTI-Transmute is affected by a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the evaluation report PDF-generation functionality. User-controlled CTI content, including conversion names, descriptions, and comments, is converted from Markdown to HTML and rendered as a PDF using WeasyPrint. Before the patch, the renderer used WeasyPrint’s default URL-fetching behavior without restricting the protocols or destinations that could be referenced by the generated HTML. An attacker able to supply content included in an evaluation report could inject crafted resource references using schemes such as http://, https://, or file://. When the report was rendered, CTI-Transmute could fetch these resources using the application server’s network connectivity and filesystem privileges. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to: * access services available only from the CTI-Transmute server or its internal network; * probe internal hosts and service endpoints; * retrieve local files readable by the application process; and * expose fetched content through the generated PDF, depending on the referenced resource type and rendering context. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: tegra: fix pm_runtime leak on mutex_lock failure If tegra_i2c_mutex_lock() fails, the function returns without calling pm_runtime_put(), leaking the runtime PM reference acquired by the preceding pm_runtime_get_sync(). This prevents the device from ever entering runtime suspend. Add the missing pm_runtime_put() before returning on lock failure.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lsm: hold cred_guard_mutex for lsm_set_self_attr() Just as proc_pid_attr_write() already does before calling the LSM hook. This only matters for SELinux and AppArmor which check whether the process is being ptraced and if so, whether to allow the transition.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: x_tables: allocate hook ops while under mutex arp/ip(6)t_register_table() add the table to the per-netns list via xt_register_table() before allocating the per-netns hook ops copy via kmemdup_array(). This leaves a window where the table is visible in the list with ops=NULL. If the pernet exit happens runs concurrently the pre_exit callback finds the table via xt_find_table() and passes the NULL ops pointer to nf_unregister_net_hooks(), causing a NULL dereference: general protection fault in nf_unregister_net_hooks+0xbc/0x150 RIP: nf_unregister_net_hooks (net/netfilter/core.c:613) Call Trace: ipt_unregister_table_pre_exit iptable_mangle_net_pre_exit ops_pre_exit_list cleanup_net Fix by moving the ops allocation into the xtables core so the table is never in the list without valid ops. Also ensure the table is no longer processing packets before its torn down on error unwind. nf_register_net_hooks might have published at least one hook; call synchronize_rcu() if there was an error. audit log register message gets deferred until all operations have passed, this avoids need to

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
