  • Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: libertas: reject short monitor TX frames In monitor mode, lbs_hard_start_xmit() castCVE-2026-98890 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: libertas: reject short monitor TX frames In monitor mode, lbs_hard_start_xmit() casts skb->data to a radiotap TX header, skips that header, and then copies the 802.11 destination address from offset 4 in the remaining frame. The generic length check only rejects zero-length and oversized skbs, so a short monitor frame can be read past the end of the skb data. Require enough bytes for the radiotap TX header and the destination address field before using the monitor-mode header layout.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: fix slab-out-of-bounds read in ieee80211_monitor_select_queue() ieee80211_CVE-2026-98810 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: fix slab-out-of-bounds read in ieee80211_monitor_select_queue() ieee80211_monitor_select_queue() validates the skb length using skb->len before dereferencing pointers into skb->data to access the 802.11 header. However, skb->len includes data in both the linear head buffer and non-linear fragments/pages. When AF_PACKET sends a packet large enough to become non-linear, the 802.11 header at skb->data + len_rthdr may extend past the linear head buffer even though skb->len appears sufficient. This leads to a slab-out-of-bounds read when accessing hdr->frame_control, as the kernel reads beyond the allocated skb head buffer: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in ieee80211_monitor_select_queue+0x1ed/0x220 syzbot has hit the same issues. Fix this by checking skb_headlen(skb) (which gives the length of the linear data region) instead of skb->len before dereferencing skb->data pointers. This ensures the required bytes are actually present in the linear portion of the skb. Apply the same fix to ieee80211_validate_radiotap_len() which has the same class of bug: it uses skb->len to validate accesses to skb-

  • Oct 15, 2026Tianji is an open source analytics, uptime monitoring, and server status platform.CVE-2026-55240 · Other software · msgbyte · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

Tianji is an open source analytics, uptime monitoring, and server status platform. Prior to 1.31.29, formatString() in src/server/utils/template.ts passes survey feedTemplate and monitor notification templates to lodash template(), while the default evaluate pattern remains enabled. A workspace administrator can store an evaluate block using the <% code %> form, and the public survey.submit endpoint renders a survey template when an unauthenticated user submits a response. The compiled template executes server-side JavaScript in the Tianji Node.js process, allowing command execution, secret disclosure, data modification, or service disruption. This issue is fixed in version 1.31.29.

Tianji is an open source analytics, uptime monitoring, and server status platform. Prior to 1.31.29, the getDateQuery() function in src/server/utils/prisma.ts constructs raw SQL through Prisma.sql() by interpolating the timezone request value without parameter binding. The timezone value can reach affected analytics queries through request data or the timezone HTTP header, and workspaceProcedure permits any authenticated workspace member, including a read-only viewer, to reach those queries. An attacker can execute arbitrary SQL against the shared PostgreSQL database, which can disclose or modify credentials, API keys, and tenant data or make the service unavailable. Sentry is an application monitoring and error tracking platform. From 26.5.0 until 26.7.2, the SAML SSO identity-linking flow allows an attacker who controls a SAML identity provider to socially engineer an authenticated user into opening a malicious URL, link the attacker's identity to the victim's Sentry account, and take control of that account. The attack requires a browser that accepts the cross-site cookie context, including Firefox with SameSite=None cookies or Chromium with third-party cookies enabled. • Oct 14, 2026Nezha Monitoring is a self-hostable, lightweight, servers and websites monitoring and O&M tool.CVE-2026-100394 · Other software · nezhahq · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Nezha Monitoring is a self-hostable, lightweight, servers and websites monitoring and O&M tool. From 2.2.7 until 2.2.11, ServiceSentinel.worker in service/singleton/servicesentinel.go checked an owned service under servicesLock and later dereferenced pointer-valued serviceStatusToday and serviceCurrentStatusData entries under serviceResponseDataStoreLock without revalidating that ServiceSentinel.Delete had not removed them. A RoleMember could concurrently report TCP or ICMP results through the member's own agent and delete the same owned service, causing a nil pointer dereference. Because the gRPC server had no recovery interceptor, the worker panic terminated the whole dashboard process and disrupted every tenant's web interface, REST API, and agent connections. The issue affects availability only and does not disclose or modify data. This issue is fixed in versions 2.2.11 and 2.3.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drop_monitor: fix out-of-bounds write in reset_per_cpu_data() In reset_per_cpu_data(), al is computed as: al = sizeof(struct net_dm_alert_msg); al += dm_hit_limit * sizeof(struct net_dm_drop_point); al += sizeof(struct nlattr); skb = genlmsg_new(al, GFP_KERNEL); ... nla = nla_reserve(skb, NLA_UNSPEC, sizeof(struct net_dm_alert_msg)); ... msg = nla_data(nla); memset(msg, 0, al); Because al includes sizeof(struct nlattr) (the 4-byte attribute header), genlmsg_new() allocates al bytes of tailroom starting at nla. However, msg points to nla_data(nla), which is located sizeof(struct nlattr) bytes past nla. Calling memset(msg, 0, al) therefore writes al bytes starting from msg, exceeding the allocated buffer by sizeof(struct nlattr) (4 bytes) and corrupting skb_shared_info. Fix this by letting al represent only the payload length, allocating the skb with genlmsg_new(nla_total_size(al), GFP_KERNEL), and zeroing al bytes from msg.

MultiTail is a utility for monitoring multiple log files in one terminal. In version 7.1.5 and earlier, the -ex and -eX execute-on-match feature appended attacker-controlled matched input to a configured command inside double quotes, then check_filter_exec() in mt.c passed the constructed command through execute_program() in exec.c to sh -c. Partial escaping left shell metacharacters such as command substitution active, allowing an attacker who could influence monitored input to execute commands as the user running MultiTail. No fixed release is available as of this review.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drop_monitor: use timer_shutdown_sync() to prevent timer rearming during teardown In drop_CVE-2026-98286 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drop_monitor: use timer_shutdown_sync() to prevent timer rearming during teardown In drop_monitor teardown paths (net_dm_trace_off_set(), net_dm_hw_monitor_stop(), and error unwind paths in net_dm_trace_on_set() and net_dm_hw_monitor_start()), per-CPU timers are stopped using timer_delete_sync() followed by cancel_work_sync(). However, there is a circular dependency between send_timer and dm_alert_work: 1) sched_send_work() (timer callback) schedules dm_alert_work. 2) send_dm_alert() / net_dm_hw_summary_work() calls reset_per_cpu_data() or net_dm_hw_reset_per_cpu_data(). 3) If memory allocation fails under memory pressure in the reset function, it re-arms the timer via mod_timer(&data->send_timer, ...). If dm_alert_work is running concurrently while timer_delete_sync() executes on another CPU, an allocation failure in the worker will re-arm the timer after timer_delete_sync() has already returned. Once cancel_work_sync() completes and module_put() is called, the timer remains active in the timer wheel. If the module is then unloaded, the timer will fire and execute sched_send_work() in freed memory, trigg

  • Oct 2, 2026The postgresql-operator charm runs a Prometheus postgres_exporter to collect database metrics using a dedicated "monitoring" PostgreSQL user.CVE-2026-104055 · Other software · Canonical · reported by security@ubuntu.comMedium 5.3

The postgresql-operator charm runs a Prometheus postgres_exporter to collect database metrics using a dedicated "monitoring" PostgreSQL user. On database connection errors, the exporter writes the monitoring user's password in cleartext to its logs. Any actor able to read those logs can recover the password, which grants read-only pg_monitor access to PostgreSQL. This is fixed in the dev track (14/edge) in revisions 1189 (arm64) and 1190 (amd64), and in the stable track (14/stable) in revisions 1216 (arm64) and 1217 (amd64).

  • Oct 2, 2026Download Monitor: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-100182 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The Download Monitor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Cross-Origin postMessage to Admin Editor in all versions up to, and including, 5.2.10 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires the attacker to trick an authenticated Administrator into visiting an attacker-controlled page that targets an open Download edit screen, after which the payload is persisted unfiltered via the Administrator's unfiltered_html capability and later emitted verbatim to the frontend by the [download_data] shortcode's unescaped post_content render path.
