  • Oct 16, 2026miniOrange OTP Login, Verification and SMS Notifications: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-103895 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1

The miniOrange OTP Login, Verification and SMS Notifications plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass in versions up to, and including, 5.5.8 via the `mo_by_pass_login()` function. This is due to `mo_delay_otp_process()` short-circuiting the authentication flow before password validation or the administrator intent gate (added in 5.5.6) can run, combined with the Delay OTP grace flag (`mov_last_verified_dttm`) being stored as a `user_meta` row keyed solely by target user ID with no binding to the originating session, cookie, IP address, or device. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to authenticate as any WordPress user — including administrators — by submitting only a known username with the `mo_wp_login_intent=otp` parameter and any non-empty password, thereby inheriting a legitimate user's open Delay OTP grace window without ever supplying correct credentials. Exploitation requires the site to have OTP-only login (`wp_login_skip_password=1`, `wp_login_skip_password_fallback=0`) and Delay OTP Verification (`wp_login_delay_otp=1`) enabled, and the target account must currently be within its configured Delay OTP interval.

  • Sep 26, 2026miniOrange OTP Login, Verification and SMS Notifications: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-85984 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The miniOrange OTP Login, Verification and SMS Notifications plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via the mo_wp_login_intent parameter in all versions up to, and including, 5.5.5. This is due to a missing password-intent guard in the skip_pass_fallback-enabled configuration branch of the mo_by_pass_login() function, which treats administrator role membership alone as sufficient authentication whenever the unauthenticated, unverified POST parameter mo_wp_login_intent is submitted with the value otp, causing mo_get_user() to skip wp_authenticate_username_password() and resolve a WP_User purely from a username lookup. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing administrator account by supplying only a known username and an empty password alongside mo_wp_login_intent=otp, with no password or OTP verification required. Exploitation is conditional on a site administrator having simultaneously enabled the following plugin options: WP Login OTP, Login with Only OTP, Allow Users to Login with Username and Password, and Admin OTP Bypass.

  • Sep 15, 2026miniOrange JWT Authentication for WP REST APIs: Authentication method downgradeCVE-2026-89027 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9

miniOrange JWT Authentication for WP REST APIs plugin for WordPress before 4.8.0 contains an authentication method downgrade vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass administrator-configured authentication by supplying a specific GET parameter without any capability check or nonce verification. Attackers can force the plugin to use Basic HTTP authentication regardless of configured JWT or API token settings, then exploit distinguishable error codes and the absence of rate limiting to perform unthrottled username enumeration and credential guessing attacks.

The miniOrange 2FA WordPress plugin before 6.3.1, miniOrange 2FA WordPress plugin before 19.3 does not scope its second-factor attempt limit to the account being attacked, keying it instead to an identifier the client supplies and can change at will, allowing an attacker who already knows a victim's password to make unlimited one-time-passcode guesses and defeat the second factor. The miniOrange 2FA WordPress plugin before 6.2.8 does not correctly limit the number of second-factor verification attempts, tracking them against a client-supplied identifier that is reissued on every login, allowing an attacker who already knows a user's password to guess the one-time code without limit and take over the account.

The miniOrange 2FA WordPress plugin before 6.2.7 does not bind the second factor being configured during the pre-login two-factor challenge to the target account's existing factor, allowing an attacker who knows a user's password to rebind that user's second factor to an attacker-controlled destination, complete the challenge, and take over the account, including administrator accounts.

  • Jul 10, 2026miniOrange Social Login and Register (Discord, Google, Twitter, LinkedIn): Authentication bypass leading to account takeoverCVE-2026-12761 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The miniOrange Social Login and Register (Discord, Google, Twitter, LinkedIn) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authentication bypass leading to account takeover in versions up to and including 7.7.0. This is due to the Profile Completion flow accepting an arbitrary email address via the 'email_field' POST parameter without verifying that the email belongs to the identity returned by the OAuth provider, combined with send_otp_token() returning the SHA-512(customer_key || otp) transaction hash to the client where the OTP space is only 99,000 values (wp_rand(1000, 99999)) and the customer_key is a static option (empty on unregistered installs). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to trigger an OTP email to an arbitrary admin's address, crack the OTP offline from the leaked hash in under a second, and submit the cracked OTP to mo_openid_social_login_validate_otp(), which logs the attacker in as the user whose email was supplied — granting full administrator access.

  • Jul 9, 2026miniOrange OTP Login, Verification and SMS Notifications: Authentication Bypass leading to Administrator Account TakeoverCVE-2026-14245 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The miniOrange OTP Login, Verification and SMS Notifications plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass leading to Administrator Account Takeover in all versions up to, and including, 5.5.1. This is due to the `um_reset_password_process_hook()` function performing no server-side verification that the OTP validation step was completed, and relying solely on a public `form_nonce` nonce that the plugin itself emits to unauthenticated visitors via the `moumprvar` JavaScript object on the Ultimate Member password reset page, while still accepting the attacker-controlled `username_b` parameter to target any WordPress user without role restriction or any binding to a previously validated OTP session. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to obtain a freshly generated password-reset URL for an arbitrary Administrator account — returned in a 302 `Location` header — and use it to take full control of that account. Exploitation requires the Ultimate Member Password Reset Form integration to be active and the plugin to not be configured for phone-only reset.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
