  • Oct 23, 2026The DHCPv4 client in subsys/net/lib/dhcpv4/dhcpv4.c maintained its transaction identifier (iface->config.dhcpv4.xid) as a counter rather than as a per-transactiCVE-2026-79980 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 5.6

The DHCPv4 client in subsys/net/lib/dhcpv4/dhcpv4.c maintained its transaction identifier (iface->config.dhcpv4.xid) as a counter rather than as a per-transaction random value. It was seeded once with sys_rand32_get() in dhcpv4_start_internal(), incremented by one in dhcpv4_send_discover() and dhcpv4_send_decline(), and never changed by dhcpv4_send_request() — so every RENEWING and REBINDING exchange reused, unchanged, the identifier that had already appeared on the wire in the broadcast DHCPDISCOVER at boot, and where the identifier did move it moved predictably by one. RFC 2131 4.1 requires a single identifier per transaction, chosen so that clients are unlikely to collide. This identifier is the client's only unpredictable reply-validation token. net_dhcpv4_input() accepts a BOOTP reply on op, a matching xid, and a matching chaddr (the interface MAC, which is public); the UDP callback is registered with a wildcard remote address and port, and no server-identifier or source-address check is applied. An attacker who learns one identifier — for example any host on the same segment that sees the broadcast DHCPDISCOVER, or a DHCP server or relay on a network the device previously jo

  • Oct 12, 2026Code for IBM i is a Visual Studio Code extension for maintaining and compiling ILE languages on the IBMi platform.CVE-2026-49484 · Other software · codefori · reported by GitHubMedium 5.1

Code for IBM i is a Visual Studio Code extension for maintaining and compiling ILE languages on the IBMi platform. Prior to 3.0.1, src/ui/views/objectBrowser.ts stores Object Browser downloads and the edit-save flow content in the shared /tmp directory without reliable cleanup. On systems where /tmp is accessible to other local accounts, file contents remain readable after download or editing operations. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.1.

Code for IBMi is a Visual Studio Code extension for maintaining and compiling ILE languages on the IBMi platform. Prior to 3.0.1, IBMi components implementing IBMiComponent were accepted after checking that a procedure existed without reliably verifying component integrity. Components installed with broad public permissions allow another local account to alter a program such as GETMBRINFO. A later connection can execute the altered program under the connecting account because the LONG_COMMENT marker alone does not establish integrity. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.1.

  • Oct 6, 2026Gitea Actions blocks the jobs of workflow runs from first-time fork pull request contributors until a maintainer approves the run.CVE-2026-104632 · Other software · Gitea · reported by 88ee5874-cf24-4952-aea0-31affedb7ff2High 8.8

Gitea Actions blocks the jobs of workflow runs from first-time fork pull request contributors until a maintainer approves the run. The rerun path only required a run to be finished and built the new attempt's jobs without considering the pending approval, so when a user with Actions write access cancelled a run that was awaiting approval and then re-ran it, the new jobs were created as waiting rather than blocked while the run still recorded that approval was required. Cancelling and re-running stale fork checks is a routine action that does not involve the approval control, so where Actions is enabled and a matching runner is registered, workflow code taken from the fork pull request head could run on the repository's runners without an explicit approval.

  • Sep 27, 2026Fleet-maintained app install and uninstall scripts for macOS are generated from Homebrew cask metadata.CVE-2026-101045 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.9

Fleet-maintained app install and uninstall scripts for macOS are generated from Homebrew cask metadata. In manifests generated before 2026-08-19, the script generator escaped this metadata at some interpolation sites but not all of them, so cask metadata containing shell metacharacters (for example $(...) command substitution) could be carried into scripts that execute as root on managed macOS hosts. An attacker who could land crafted metadata in an upstream Homebrew cask — without needing any Fleet credentials — could achieve arbitrary command execution as root on managed macOS hosts that install or uninstall the affected Fleet-maintained app; exploitation required the crafted metadata to pass both upstream Homebrew cask review and Fleet's review of the automated ingestion pull request. The fix (fleetdm/fleet#51324) landed in Fleet's ingestion pipeline on 2026-08-19 so that all manifests generated on or after that date escape cask metadata at every interpolation site; because manifests are generated centrally and distributed as pre-built content, remediation applied to all deployments with no customer action, and the code fix is included in Fleet v4.92.0.

BleachBit cleans files to free disk space and to maintain privacy. Prior to 6.0.1, privileged Windows cleaning does not lock and validate a target's parent directory before deletion. A local unprivileged user can replace that directory with a Windows junction and use a native symlink to redirect the elevated deletion to an attacker-selected file. • Sep 17, 2026TS3 Manager is modern web interface for maintaining Teamspeak3 servers.CVE-2026-54253 · Other software · joni1802 · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

TS3 Manager is modern web interface for maintaining Teamspeak3 servers. Prior to 2.2.6, the /api/download handler in packages/server/routes/api.js passes the attacker-controlled port query parameter to socket.connect(port, host) and returns the resulting error.message through res.status(400).send(error.message) as text/html without a Content Security Policy. When a logged-in operator follows a crafted top-level link, the reflected value executes in the manager origin. The token cookie set in packages/ui/src/store/modules/query.js lacks HttpOnly, Secure, and an explicit SameSite attribute, allowing the script to read the token and call the autofillform event in packages/server/socket.js. autofillform returns the decoded JWT, including the cleartext ServerQuery password, enabling operator-session hijacking and control of the managed TeamSpeak server when the operator uses administrative ServerQuery credentials. A valid operator session and user interaction are required. This issue is fixed in 2.2.6.

  • Sep 15, 2026Yeger is a monorepo for npm packages maintained under the yeger scope.CVE-2026-59160 · Other software · DerYeger · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

Yeger is a monorepo for npm packages maintained under the yeger scope. Prior to 2.8.9, the turbo-graph package starts its embedded Next.js server from packages/turbo-graph/src/index.ts on all interfaces, including 0.0.0.0:29312 by default, while the GET handler for /api/run in packages/turbo-graph-ui/app/api/run/route.ts has no authentication, authorization, CSRF protection, or task allowlist. The handler accepts the tasks, filter, and force query parameters, and buildResponseFromArgs passes attacker-selected task names to spawn() as Turbo CLI arguments. An adjacent-network attacker can execute any task defined in the victim repository's turbo.json with the privileges of the developer OS user, potentially exposing secrets, modifying files or infrastructure, or causing destructive availability effects. The use of an argument array prevents traditional shell metacharacter injection but does not prevent unauthorized execution of defined tasks. This issue is fixed in version 2.8.9.

  • Aug 21, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_route: fix fastmap use-after-free on filter The route4 classifier maintainsCVE-2026-74583 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_route: fix fastmap use-after-free on filter The route4 classifier maintains a 16-slot fastmap cache that stores raw struct route4_filter pointers indexed by (id, iif). The reader (route4_classify) populates this cache via route4_set_fastmap() for every classified packet that hits a filter. The writer (route4_delete, route4_change) clears the cache via route4_reset_fastmap() before RCU-deferred kfree of the filter. This creates a UAF race: 1. Reader walks the RCU-protected bucket chain, finds filter f 2. Writer unlinks f, calls route4_reset_fastmap(), then tcf_queue_work() 3. Reader calls route4_set_fastmap() and writes f into the cache *after* the writer's reset, caching a pointer about to be freed 4. After the RCU grace period, kfree(f) executes 5. Next classified packet on the same (id, iif) tuple hits the stale fastmap entry and reads f->res from freed memory Reproduced with an mdelay(100) accelerator in route4_set_fastmap() and a concurrent add/delete stress test (provided by both zdi and Santosh). Both triggered KASAN slab-use-after-free reports in the route4 fastmap paths. Fix

  • Jul 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/sysfs-schemes: delete tried region in regions_rmdirs() DAMON sysfs maintains the CVE-2026-64239 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/sysfs-schemes: delete tried region in regions_rmdirs() DAMON sysfs maintains the DAMOS tried region directory objects via a linked list. When the user requests refresh of the directories, DAMON sysfs removes all the region directories first, and then generate updated regions directory on the empty space. The removal function (damon_sysfs_scheme_regions_rm_dirs()) only puts the kobj objects. Deletion of the container region object from the linked list is done inside the kobj release callback function. If somehow the callback invocation is delayed, the list will contain regions list that gonna be freed. If the updated region directories creation is started in this situation, the list can be corrupted and use-after-free can happen. Because the kobj objects are managed by only DAMON sysfs, the issue cannot happen in normal situation. But, such delays can be made on kernels that built with CONFIG_DEBUG_KOBJECT_RELEASE. On the kernel, the issue can indeed be reproduced like below. # damo start --damos_action stat # cd /sys/kernel/mm/damon/admin/kdamonds/0/ # for i in {1..10}; do echo updat

Zephyr's dynamic kernel-object tracking (kernel/userspace/userspace.c, formerly kernel/userspace.c) maintains a doubly-linked list (obj_list) of dynamically allocated kernel objects. Iteration over this list in k_object_wordlist_foreach() was performed under lists_lock using the SAFE iterator (which caches the next node), but list removal and freeing of nodes was performed under different, disjoint spinlocks: objfree_lock in k_object_free() and obj_lock in unref_check(). On an SMP system, while one CPU iterated obj_list under lists_lock, another CPU could unlink and k_free() the dyn_obj node that the iterator had cached as its next pointer, causing the iterator to dereference freed kernel memory (use-after-free / dangling list traversal). All of the racing operations are reachable from unprivileged user-mode threads via system calls: k_object_alloc/k_object_alloc_size and k_object_release drive removals through unref_check() (under obj_lock), while k_thread_abort and thread creation drive the iteration through k_thread_perms_all_clear()/k_thread_perms_inherit() (under lists_lock). A deprivileged user thread on a CONFIG_SMP + CONFIG_USERSPACE build can therefore corrupt the kernel's

  • Jun 16, 2026On Xtensa targets with CONFIG_USERSPACE and CONFIG_XTENSA_MMU, the page-table code (arch/xtensa/core/ptables.c) maintains a global list, xtensa_domain_list, of CVE-2026-10635 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.3

On Xtensa targets with CONFIG_USERSPACE and CONFIG_XTENSA_MMU, the page-table code (arch/xtensa/core/ptables.c) maintains a global list, xtensa_domain_list, of active memory domains using a list node embedded inside the caller-owned struct k_mem_domain. When a domain is destroyed via k_mem_domain_deinit() -> arch_mem_domain_deinit(), the page tables are torn down and domain->arch.ptables is set to NULL, but the domain's node was not removed from xtensa_domain_list. The freed/deinitialized domain therefore remained linked into the global list as a dangling pointer into caller-owned storage that may then be freed or reused. Any subsequent arch_mem_map()/arch_mem_unmap() operation (widely invoked by kernel memory-mapping and demand-paging code) traverses the stale node and dereferences domain->ptables: at minimum a NULL pointer dereference causing a fatal MMU exception (denial of service), and if the k_mem_domain storage has been freed or reused, a use-after-free in which a stale/controlled ptables value is dereferenced and written through during the page-table walk (l2_page_table_map writes l1_table[...] and l2_table[...], and xtensa_mmu_compute_domain_regs writes into the domain st

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: vub300: fix use-after-free on disconnect The vub300 driver maintains an explicit reference count for the controller and its driver data and the last reference can in theory be dropped after the driver has been unbound. This specifically means that the controller allocation must not be device managed as that can lead to use-after-free. Note that the lifetime is currently also incorrectly tied the parent USB device rather than interface, which can lead to memory leaks if the driver is unbound without its device being physically disconnected (e.g. on probe deferral). Fix both issues by reverting to non-managed allocation of the controller.

Altec DocLink (now maintained by Beyond Limits Inc.) version 4.0.336.0 exposes insecure .NET Remoting endpoints over TCP and HTTP/SOAP via Altec.RDCHostService.exe using the ObjectURI "doclinkServer.soap". The service does not require authentication and is vulnerable to unsafe object unmarshalling, allowing remote attackers to read arbitrary files from the underlying system by specifying local file paths. Additionally, attackers can coerce SMB authentication via UNC paths and write arbitrary files to server locations. Because writable paths may be web-accessible under IIS, this can result in unauthenticated remote code execution or denial of service through file overwrite.

Module removal with active entries causes memory leak as the list is not properly cleaned up. Prevent this by iterating through the remaining entries in the list and freeing the associated memory during module removal. Add a spinlock (flow_steer_list_lock) to protect the list access from multiple threads.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: vfs: fix race on m_flags in vfs_cache ksmbd maintains delete-on-close and pending-delete state in ksmbd_inode->m_flags. In vfs_cache.c this field is accessed under inconsistent locking: some paths read and modify m_flags under ci->m_lock while others do so without taking the lock at all. Examples: - ksmbd_query_inode_status() and __ksmbd_inode_close() use ci->m_lock when checking or updating m_flags. - ksmbd_inode_pending_delete(), ksmbd_set_inode_pending_delete(), ksmbd_clear_inode_pending_delete() and ksmbd_fd_set_delete_on_close() used to read and modify m_flags without ci->m_lock. This creates a potential data race on m_flags when multiple threads open, close and delete the same file concurrently. In the worst case delete-on-close and pending-delete bits can be lost or observed in an inconsistent state, leading to confusing delete semantics (files that stay on disk after delete-on-close, or files that disappear while still in use). Fix it by: - Making ksmbd_query_inode_status() look at m_flags under ci->m_lock after dropping inode_hash_lock. - Adding ci->m_lock protection to all he

Pdfminer.six is a community maintained fork of the original PDFMiner, a tool for extracting information from PDF documents. Prior to version 20251107, pdfminer.six will execute arbitrary code from a malicious pickle file if provided with a malicious PDF file. The `CMapDB._load_data()` function in pdfminer.six uses `pickle.loads()` to deserialize pickle files. These pickle files are supposed to be part of the pdfminer.six distribution stored in the `cmap/` directory, but a malicious PDF can specify an alternative directory and filename as long as the filename ends in `.pickle.gz`. A malicious, zipped pickle file can then contain code which will automatically execute when the PDF is processed. Version 20251107 fixes the issue.

  • Sep 16, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: rose: include node references in rose_neigh refcount Current implementation maintainsCVE-2025-39827 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: rose: include node references in rose_neigh refcount Current implementation maintains two separate reference counting mechanisms: the 'count' field in struct rose_neigh tracks references from rose_node structures, while the 'use' field (now refcount_t) tracks references from rose_sock. This patch merges these two reference counting systems using 'use' field for proper reference management. Specifically, this patch adds incrementing and decrementing of rose_neigh->use when rose_neigh->count is incremented or decremented. This patch also modifies rose_rt_free(), rose_rt_device_down() and rose_clear_route() to properly release references to rose_neigh objects before freeing a rose_node through rose_remove_node(). These changes ensure rose_neigh structures are properly freed only when all references, including those from rose_node structures, are released. As a result, this resolves a slab-use-after-free issue reported by Syzbot.

In versions 4.1.124.Final, and 4.2.0.Alpha3 through 4.2.4.Final, Netty incorrectly accepts standalone newline characters (LF) as a chunk-size line terminator, regardless of a preceding carriage return (CR), instead of requiring CRLF per HTTP/1.1 standards. When combined with reverse proxies that parse LF differently (treating it as part of the chunk extension), attackers can craft requests that the proxy sees as one request but Netty processes as two, enabling request smuggling attacks.
