  • Oct 30, 2026Maxthon Browser for Android before 7.5.8.103 contains an address bar spoofing vulnerability that allows remote attackers to misrepresent a page's origin by explCVE-2026-119730 · Other software · Maxthon Technology Limited · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.1

Maxthon Browser for Android before 7.5.8.103 contains an address bar spoofing vulnerability that allows remote attackers to misrepresent a page's origin by exploiting the lack of a persistent fullscreen notification or trusted origin indicator when the Fullscreen API is invoked. Attackers can craft a malicious web page that renders a counterfeit address bar showing a trusted domain while displaying attacker-controlled content, tricking users who perform a single tap to enter fullscreen into disclosing credentials via phishing.

In server mode pgAdmin 4 locks an internal account after MAX_LOGIN_ATTEMPTS failed logins (3 by default). The limit could be bypassed, giving an unauthenticated attacker an unlimited number of password guesses against any internal account, including the administrator's, in the default configuration: - Flask-Security registers its own views next to pgAdmin's. A login submitted to its /login view was checked and logged in without pgAdmin's failed login count or lock. Its /verify view checked a signed-in user's password without limit, its /change view changed a password without pgAdmin's change password permission or re-encrypting the user's saved server passwords, and its /reset views sent and applied password resets for accounts that are not internal or are locked. - The internal account was looked up by its exact username, while the login form matches the email ignoring case, so a login with the username typed in another case was neither counted nor checked for the lock. - With LDAP or webserver authentication also configured, a wrong internal password was never counted, and with Kerberos or webserver authentication configured a guess could be answered without being counted. • Oct 28, 2026The broker-side PushTelemetry API (KIP-714) validates only the compressed size of a client's metrics payload against telemetry.max.bytes (default 1 MB) before dCVE-2026-111073 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.org

The broker-side PushTelemetry API (KIP-714) validates only the compressed size of a client's metrics payload against telemetry.max.bytes (default 1 MB) before decompressing it. ClientTelemetryUtils.decompress() then decompresses the payload with no limit on the decompressed output size, growing a heap buffer until the compressed input is exhausted. A small, highly compressible payload (for example gzip-compressed zeros) can therefore expand to hundreds of megabytes of broker heap. Impact: An authenticated client can send a PushTelemetry request with a small compressed payload that decompresses to a very large size, consuming broker heap out of proportion to the request size. Repeated or concurrent requests can exhaust the broker heap and cause an OutOfMemoryError, degrading or crashing the broker; a client that targets multiple brokers can affect cluster availability. PushTelemetry is available to any authenticated client and is not gated by an ACL. Mitigation: Upgrade to Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.1, or 4.4.0. On affected versions there is no configuration that fully prevents the amplification, because telemetry.max.bytes bounds only the compressed size; lowering telemetry.ma

The Espressif AES driver drivers/crypto/crypto_esp32_aes.c advertises a multi-session cipher API — it hands out up to CONFIG_ESP32_CRYPTO_AES_SESSIONS_MAX (default 4) independent sessions, each carrying its own key and direction. The AES peripheral, however, has a single chip-global set of key and mode registers, and aes_begin_session() programmed them exactly once, at session start, outside the aes_lock mutex that serialises the transforms. The per-operation handlers aes_ecb_op(), aes_cbc_op() and aes_ctr_op() then ran aes_hal_transform_block() against whatever key and direction the registers happened to hold. As a result, once a second session is opened with a different key, every subsequent operation on the first session silently uses the second session's key and direction, and no error is reported. Because the key programming happened outside the lock, the correct usage pattern of "each thread does begin, then op, then free on its own session" also races: a second thread's cipher_begin_session() landing between the first thread's begin and its operation makes that operation run under the second thread's key. An attacker who can induce session creation on the device — for examp

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: core: Add validation for host-provided max_segs The max_segs field is of type unsigned short, and if a host driver sets an excessively large value, it may be truncated to zero. This can cause mmc_alloc_sg() to call kmalloc_objs() with a zero size allocation request, which leads to undefined behavior. Under the SLUB allocator, kmalloc(0) returns a special pointer (ZERO_SIZE_PTR). Apache bRPC versions before 1.18.0 do not consistently enforce the configured max_body_size limit in non-progressive HTTP/1 and HTTP/2 parsing and in memcache and couchbase response parsing. A remote unauthenticated peer can cause an affected process to buffer message data beyond the configured limit, which may lead to memory exhaustion and denial of service. Users should upgrade to 1.18.0 or apply the patch from PR https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3382 . The fix rejects oversized buffered HTTP bodies, returns HTTP 413 for HTTP/1 requests, resets oversized HTTP/2 streams, and rejects oversized memcache and couchbase responses from their declared lengths. Progressive HTTP reading remains supported because it uses bounded buffering.

An authenticated HTTPS origin can supply an HSTS `max-age` value that the parser accepts, but time serialization later fails to process. On 64-bit systems, extreme max-age values compute an absolute expiry within standard time integer limits that exceeds calendar time structure bounds. During cache saves, the original HSTS file is truncated before writing a temporary replacement; when serialization fails, the temporary file is deleted, leaving an empty or partial cache. Because the save error is silently ignored during cleanup, curl exits successfully despite the data loss.

Cpanel::JSON::XS versions before 4.80 for Perl allow memory exhaustion by buffering incremental input past max_size in incr_parse. The parser appends each chunk to its buffer. In scalar or list context, it compares max_size with how far it has progressed, not with the buffer length. A chunk that starts with a NUL byte stops the parser before it progresses, and a call in void context skips the check, so the buffer grows without limit. A peer streaming data to an incr_parse consumer can exhaust process memory regardless of max_size.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k_htc: bound TX aggregation to MAX_TX_BUF_SIZE __hif_usb_tx() dequeues up to MAXCVE-2026-98827 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k_htc: bound TX aggregation to MAX_TX_BUF_SIZE __hif_usb_tx() dequeues up to MAX_TX_AGGR_NUM (20) frames into a single tx_buf of MAX_TX_BUF_SIZE (32768) bytes, limiting the batch by record count but never by cumulative byte length. With large frames (MTU 2304), 20 aggregated frames of 2292 bytes each exceed the allocation (20 * 2296 = 45920 bytes), so the memcpy() in the loop writes up to 13152 bytes past tx_buf->buf before usb_submit_urb(). Peek the queue head and stop before copying any record that would cross MAX_TX_BUF_SIZE, then dispatch the current batch. Leftover skbs remain queued and are drained on the next URB completion. The byte bound changes the loop's exit semantics: it can now exit before i == tx_skb_cnt - 1. Stock only finalized tx_buf->len on that last index (len += offset), so an early break would submit a URB holding only the last record's length while every dequeued skb is freed on completion, silently dropping frames. Make tx_buf->len a running total and advance tx_buf->offset per record instead; the stride round_up(nskb->len + 4, 4) is identical to the stock stride when the loop

However, SO_RESERVE_MEM and sk_unused_reserved_mem() are currently only supported by TCP: - On UDP sockets, sk->sk_forward_alloc is protected by sk->sk_receive_queue.lock, whereas sock_reserve_memory() and sock_release_reserved_memory() only acquire lock_sock(sk). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: serial: max3100: shut down timer before freeing port max3100_shutdown() stops the polling timer but returns early during system suspend. If the SPI device is unbound before resume, the serial core does not call max3100_shutdown() again, so max3100_remove() frees the port while the timer remains armed. max3100_timeout() may then access the freed port and re-arm the timer. Add final timer teardown to max3100_remove() and use timer_shutdown_sync() to prevent a racing callback from re-arming it. Also free the IRQ and destroy the workqueue there before freeing the port. Keep timer_delete_sync() in max3100_shutdown() so that a subsequent open() can re-arm the timer. The workqueue is created before request_irq() and destroyed on both request_irq() failure and normal shutdown. Its presence at remove thus identifies the IRQ left registered when suspend bypasses shutdown. Free the IRQ before destroying the workqueue, in both max3100_shutdown() and max3100_remove(), and cancel the pending work in between. free_irq() waits for a running interrupt handler to finish and no new handler can start afterwards, so a racing

When an interrupt arrives while no buffer is enabled, the handler dereferences the NULL active_scan_mask: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 0000000000000000 Call trace: __bitmap_weight+0x64/0x98 (P) max30102_interrupt_handler+0x48/0x160 [max30102] Call max30102_fifo_count() at the top of the handler and return early unless it reports a FIFO sample is ready. Because FIFO_RDY is the only interrupt source enabled in max30102_chip_init(), an invocation of max30102_interrupt_handler() without the FIFO_RDY interrupt status bit set carries no data to read and can return before touching active_scan_mask. A negative return from max30102_fifo_count() indicates a failed interrupt status read and is treated the same way.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: eth: fbnic: Handle maximum standalone channels Standalone channels use one NAPI vector for each Tx and Rx queue. fbnic's allocation path excludes FBNIC_MAX_TXQS from that layout. A 64-Tx/64-Rx configuration therefore records 128 vectors but allocates only 64, leaving NULL entries that resource setup dereferences. Include the maximum vector count in standalone allocation.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, sockmap: Reject max_entries > INT_MAX in sock_map_alloc sock_map_alloc() only rejectsCVE-2026-98588 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, sockmap: Reject max_entries > INT_MAX in sock_map_alloc sock_map_alloc() only rejects max_entries == 0 and otherwise allows any u32 value. sock_map_free() then walks the sks[] array with a signed int iterator: int i; for (i = 0; i < stab->map.max_entries; i++) struct sock **psk = &stab->sks[i]; When a SOCKMAP is created with max_entries = 0xffffffff (UINT_MAX), the allocation of 32 GiB can succeed on large-memory hosts. During free the counter reaches 0x80000000, wraps to INT_MIN, is sign-extended by movslq and turned into a ~16 GiB negative offset from stab->sks, pointing far below the allocation. The faulting access is an xchg() write in sock_map_free(). Without KASAN, the same out-of-bounds write can fault on an unmapped vmalloc page or corrupt an unrelated allocation if that vmalloc address is populated. On a KASAN kernel with CONFIG_KASAN_VMALLOC=y, the shadow check for that address hits an unmapped shadow page and oopses first: BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: fffff521b59c5a00 RIP: 0010:kasan_check_range+0x107/0x190 Call Trace: sock_map_free+0x93/0x190 map_create+0x6

  • Oct 16, 2026StreamReadConstraints.maxNameLength (default 50,000 characters) is intended to bound how much memory a single JSON Object property name can consume while being CVE-2026-68498 · Other software · FasterXML · reported by 36c7be3b-2937-45df-85ea-ca7133ea542cHigh 7.5

StreamReadConstraints.maxNameLength (default 50,000 characters) is intended to bound how much memory a single JSON Object property name can consume while being parsed, independently of the much larger maxStringLength (default 100,000,000 characters) that bounds ordinary string values. For parsers built over character input — Reader, String or char[] sources, all served by ReaderBasedJsonParser — that bound is not applied while the name is being accumulated. The code path instead re-uses the string-value length check, which is roughly 2000x larger by default. In the character-input slow path, ReaderBasedJsonParser._parseName2() accumulates the name into the TextBuffer and, when a segment fills, calls TextBuffer.finishCurrentSegment(), which validates only maxStringLength. The correct check, StreamReadConstraints.validateNameLength(int), is reached afterwards in CharsToNameCanonicalizer.findSymbol(), once the entire name has been scanned to its closing quote. By that point the full name — up to maxStringLength characters — has already been buffered in memory. A remote attacker who can have a single sufficiently long JSON Object property name parsed through this path can force a
