Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: namespace: check a recursive bind mount for mount namespace loops do_loopback() refuses toCVE-2026-98989 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: namespace: check a recursive bind mount for mount namespace loops do_loopback() refuses to bind mount the file of a mount namespace that is as old as the caller's or older because a mount namespace that holds a mount of its own file, or of an ancestor's, would cause a cycle. But it only checks the dentry the bind mount starts from. With MS_REC everything below it is copied and do_loopback() passes CL_COPY_MNT_NS_FILE so mount namespace files below the source are copied. That's fine for a source in the caller's own mount namespace. Every mount namespace file in there passed the same check when it was bind-mounted. It isn't fine for a source in another mount namespace. may_copy_tree() accepts a bind mount of any nsfs or pidfs file no matter what mount namespace it lives in so that /proc/<pid>/ns/<ns> and pidfds can be bind mounted. If we create a bind-mount stack of mount namespaces file descriptors the kernel will copy them irrespective of their ancestoral relationship to the mount namespace in question: 151 146 0:7 net:[4026531833] /tmp/nrc/y rw - nsfs nsfs rw 152 151 0:7 mnt:[4026532293] /tmp/nrc/y rw - ns

Sep 27, 2026python-utcp (pip package utcp-http) before 1.1.12 does not verify whether tool URLs declared in a hand-written UTCP manual point at the agent's own loopback intCVE-2026-101058 · Other software · universal-tool-calling-protocol · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1
python-utcp (pip package utcp-http) before 1.1.12 does not verify whether tool URLs declared in a hand-written UTCP manual point at the agent's own loopback interface when that manual is discovered from a remote, non-loopback origin. Because ensure_secure_url intentionally permits loopback HTTP for local development and native manuals bypassed the loopback check performed by the OpenAPI converter, an attacker who can serve a UTCP manual that a victim registers can cause the client to issue requests to services bound only to 127.0.0.1 on the victim host and have the response bodies returned to the caller (server-side request forgery). The http, sse and streamable_http protocols are all affected. Reach is limited to loopback, and exploitation further requires a loopback service that answers unauthenticated requests with useful data. Fixed in utcp-http 1.1.12, which rejects manuals fetched from a non-loopback origin that declare loopback tool URLs, keyed off the final post-redirect discovery URL.

The administrative panel of the Auth0 AD/LDAP Connector (versions 6.5.0 and earlier) listens on the local loopback interface without requiring authentication. This allows a local, low-privileged user or process on the host system to access the panel's management endpoints without credentials. Through these endpoints, a local user can read configuration details, including plaintext Active Directory service account credentials, and modify connector settings.

Aug 27, 2026The Dash MCP server bound its listener to the loopback address but never checked the host a request named.CVE-2026-81102 · Other software · dropbox · reported by VulnCheckLow 2.3
The Dash MCP server bound its listener to the loopback address but never checked the host a request named. src/mcp_server_dash.py constructed the server for its network mode with the interface restricted to loopback and no transport-security settings, so a name that had been pointed at the loopback address still reached the listener while carrying the attacker's host name. A page in a visitor's browser could therefore drive the local server and invoke its company-search and file-detail tools under the Dropbox credential the server holds. Only the network mode was reachable this way; the standard input mode was not. The fix supplies transport-security settings that enable host checking and allow only the loopback name and port, rejecting other hosts before a tool runs. The repository publishes no versions, so the affected boundary is the commit preceding the fix.

Aug 26, 2026OneUptime's webhook target check rejects private and loopback addresses given in IPv4 form and a small set of IPv6 forms, but has no case for the IPv4-mapped IPCVE-2026-80350 · Other software · OneUptime · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1
OneUptime's webhook target check rejects private and loopback addresses given in IPv4 form and a small set of IPv6 forms, but has no case for the IPv4-mapped IPv6 range. The webhook delivery path calls SSRFProtection.validateWebhookTargetIsSafe, and the host-literal screening inside Common/Server/Utils/SSRFProtection.ts, performed by isBlockedHostnameLiteral, rejects private and loopback IPv4 ranges and tests an IPv6 value against the unspecified address, the loopback, the link-local prefix and the unique-local prefixes. A value such as [::ffff:127.0.0.1] matches none of them. The value is also recognised as an address literal rather than a name, so the path that re-checks addresses obtained from resolution is not taken. The HTTP client treats the mapped form as the embedded IPv4 address and connects to it, so an authenticated project member who can configure a webhook can direct the server at loopback services, private network ranges and link-local metadata endpoints, and the response is recorded where the webhook result can be read. Version 12.0.7 adds handling for the mapped range.

Aug 23, 2026BentoML's outbound connection safeguard (make_safe_connect in _internal/utils/uri.py) blocks private, loopback, and link-local IP addresses but fails to reject CVE-2026-78205 · Other software · bentoml · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9
BentoML's outbound connection safeguard (make_safe_connect in _internal/utils/uri.py) blocks private, loopback, and link-local IP addresses but fails to reject the RFC 6598 shared address space (100.64.0.0/10, CGNAT). In versions 1.4.19 through 1.4.39, an unauthenticated attacker can supply URLs pointing to that range via multipart file handling (MultipartSerde.ensure_file) or JSON request parsing (JSONSerde.parse_request), causing the server to make outbound requests to internal hosts on CGNAT networks (Server-Side Request Forgery). This is an incomplete fix for CVE-2025-54381.

Nothing keeps the node alive across that window: __dibs_lo_unregister_dmb() removes the node from the hash table under the write lock and immediately frees it. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dibs: loopback: validate offset and size in move_data() The loopback move_data() performs a memcpy into the registered DMB without checking whether offset + size exceeds the DMB length. Unlike real ISM hardware, which enforces memory region bounds natively, the software loopback has no such protection. A peer-supplied out-of-bounds offset or oversized write would result in an OOB write past the allocated kernel buffer. Add an explicit bounds check before the memcpy to reject such requests with -EINVAL.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: aloop: Fix peer runtime UAF during format-change stop loopback_check_format() may stop the capture side when playback starts with parameters that no longer match a running capture stream. Commit 826af7fa62e3 ("ALSA: aloop: Fix racy access at PCM trigger") moved the peer lookup under cable->lock, but the actual snd_pcm_stop() still runs after dropping that lock. A concurrent close can clear the capture entry from cable->streams[] and detach or free its runtime while the playback trigger path still holds a stale peer substream pointer. Keep a per-cable count of in-flight peer stops before dropping cable->lock, and make free_cable() wait for those stops before detaching the runtime. This preserves the existing behavior while making the peer runtime lifetime explicit.

Mar 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ipv6: fix panic when IPv4 route references loopback IPv6 nexthop When a standalone IPCVE-2026-23300 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ipv6: fix panic when IPv4 route references loopback IPv6 nexthop When a standalone IPv6 nexthop object is created with a loopback device (e.g., "ip -6 nexthop add id 100 dev lo"), fib6_nh_init() misclassifies it as a reject route. This is because nexthop objects have no destination prefix (fc_dst=::), causing fib6_is_reject() to match any loopback nexthop. The reject path skips fib_nh_common_init(), leaving nhc_pcpu_rth_output unallocated. If an IPv4 route later references this nexthop, __mkroute_output() dereferences NULL nhc_pcpu_rth_output and panics. Simplify the check in fib6_nh_init() to only match explicit reject routes (RTF_REJECT) instead of using fib6_is_reject(). The loopback promotion heuristic in fib6_is_reject() is handled separately by ip6_route_info_create_nh(). After this change, the three cases behave as follows: 1. Explicit reject route ("ip -6 route add unreachable 2001:db8::/64"): RTF_REJECT is set, enters reject path, skips fib_nh_common_init(). No behavior change. 2. Implicit loopback reject route ("ip -6 route add 2001:db8::/32 dev lo"): RTF_REJECT is not set, takes normal

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: igb: Fix NULL pointer dereference in ethtool loopback test The igb driver currently causes a NULL pointer dereference when executing the ethtool loopback test. This occurs because there is no associated q_vector for the test ring when it is set up, as interrupts are typically not added to the test rings. Since commit 5ef44b3cb43b removed the napi_id assignment in __xdp_rxq_info_reg(), there is no longer a need to pass a napi_id to it. Therefore, simply use 0 as the last parameter.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: lpfc: Inhibit aborts if external loopback plug is inserted After running a short external loopback test, when the external loopback is removed and a normal cable inserted that is directly connected to a target device, the system oops in the llpfc_set_rrq_active() routine. When the loopback was inserted an FLOGI was transmit. As we're looped back, we receive the FLOGI request. The FLOGI is ABTS'd as we recognize the same wppn thus understand it's a loopback. However, as the ABTS sends address information the port is not set to (fffffe), the ABTS is dropped on the wire. A short 1 frame loopback test is run and completes before the ABTS times out. The looback is unplugged and the new cable plugged in, and the an FLOGI to the new device occurs and completes. Due to a mixup in ref counting the completion of the new FLOGI releases the fabric ndlp. Then the original ABTS completes and references the released ndlp generating the oops. Correct by no-op'ing the ABTS when in loopback mode (it will be dropped anyway). Added a flag to track the mode to recognize when it should be no-op'd.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ixgbe: Fix NULL pointer dereference in ethtool loopback test The ixgbe driver currently generates a NULL pointer dereference when performing the ethtool loopback test. This is due to the fact that there isn't a q_vector associated with the test ring when it is setup as interrupts are not normally added to the test rings. To address this I have added code that will check for a q_vector before returning a napi_id value. If a q_vector is not present it will return a value of 0.

Aug 12, 2022Improper input validation on the `contains` LoopBack filter may allow for arbitrary SQL injection.CVE-2022-35942 · Other software · loopbackio · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
Improper input validation on the `contains` LoopBack filter may allow for arbitrary SQL injection. When the extended filter property `contains` is permitted to be interpreted by the Postgres connector, it is possible to inject arbitrary SQL which may affect the confidentiality and integrity of data stored on the connected database. A patch was released in version 5.5.1. This affects users who does any of the following: - Connect to the database via the DataSource with `allowExtendedProperties: true` setting OR - Uses the connector's CRUD methods directly OR - Uses the connector's other methods to interpret the LoopBack filter. Users who are unable to upgrade should do the following if applicable: - Remove `allowExtendedProperties: true` DataSource setting - Add `allowExtendedProperties: false` DataSource setting - When passing directly to the connector functions, manually sanitize the user input for the `contains` LoopBack filter beforehand.
