Oct 16, 2026ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application.CVE-2026-30971 · Other software · ZoneMinder · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application. Prior to 1.39.2, 1.38.2, and 1.36.40, ZoneMinder interpolates an unvalidated monitor Device field into shell commands in PHP and Perl control paths when an authenticated user with monitor-create or monitor-edit permission saves a Local monitor whose Device Path contains shell metacharacters and the monitor control or startup path runs. In this attack mechanism, the stored Device value reaches Perl qx() and backtick execution before zmdc.pl argument detainting, while separate PHP command paths use bypassable escapeshellcmd defenses. The attacker can execute arbitrary commands as the web server user. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.39.2, 1.38.2, and 1.36.40.

Oct 16, 2026ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application.CVE-2026-102608 · Other software · ZoneMinder · reported by GitHubCritical 9
ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application. Prior to 1.38.3, downloadEvents() manually wraps a monitor Name value in single quotes instead of using escapeshellarg() before placing it in shell commands when a user with monitor-create or monitor-edit permission stores a monitor Name containing shell metacharacters and a user with Events View permission exports that monitor's events. In this attack mechanism, the stored monitor Name reaches both the ffmpeg concatenation command and the tar or zip archive command and breaks out of manual quoting. Arbitrary commands execute as the web server user. This issue is fixed in version 1.38.3.

Oct 16, 2026ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application.CVE-2026-102607 · Other software · ZoneMinder · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application. Prior to 1.38.3, the exportEvents() function concatenates the attacker-controlled exportFile request parameter into a shell command without neutralizing shell metacharacters when an authenticated user with View Events or View Snapshots permission submits an event export request with a crafted exportFile value, a valid CSRF token, and exportDetail enabled. The affected components are exportEvents(), exportFile, web/ajax/event.php, web/skins/classic/includes/export_functions.php. In this attack mechanism, the crafted exportFile value reaches the trailing directory argument of a tar or zip command executed by exec(). The attacker can execute arbitrary operating system commands as the web server user. This issue is fixed in version 1.38.3.

Oct 15, 2026ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application.CVE-2026-104198 · Other software · ZoneMinder · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application. In versions 1.34.0 through 1.36.38, the web interface mishandles failed token authentication in web/includes/auth.php. validateToken() returns false when a token is malformed or has an invalid signature, but the caller assigns that value to the global $user variable; because web/index.php tests isset($user), boolean false is treated as a present user and the normal login redirect is skipped. This can dispatch views that rely on the outer authentication gate, including the zones view, which accepts an attacker-selected monitor ID and discloses monitor and zone metadata without an independent permission check. Permission helpers receive the false user value and deny privileged operations, so unauthorized state changes have not been established. This vulnerability is fixed in version 1.36.63, where conversion to ZM\User objects causes invalid token state to fail before view dispatch. Later defense-in-depth changes explicitly leave $user unset after failed token validation and reject non-ZM\User values at the web authentication gate.

Oct 14, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/uverbs: Fix mmap_lock/disassociation_lock circular dependency Commit 51976c6cd786 ("RCVE-2026-98431 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/uverbs: Fix mmap_lock/disassociation_lock circular dependency Commit 51976c6cd786 ("RDMA/core: Provide rdma_user_mmap_disassociate() to disassociate mmap pages") introduced disassociation_lock to protect new mmap registrations against uverbs_user_mmap_disassociate(), but created an ABBA deadlock: Thread A (mmap / fork): mmap_lock -> disassociation_lock Thread B (disassociate): disassociation_lock -> mmap_lock Fix by removing disassociation_lock entirely and using the pre-existing hw_destroy_rwsem instead. hw_destroy_rwsem already provides the same protection: rdma_umap_open() and ib_uverbs_mmap() both use down_read_trylock() before registering a new VMA, so holding hw_destroy_rwsem in uverbs_user_mmap_disassociate() is sufficient to block new registrations. trylock is used in both mmap paths (not blocking down_read) because mmap_lock is already held on entry, and uverbs_user_mmap_disassociate() acquires mmap_lock internally — a blocking read would recreate the same deadlock. The only caller that was not taking hw_destroy_rwsem for write was rdma_user_mmap_disassociate(). Fix it to take the rw

Oct 14, 2026Koha is vulnerable to SQL injection in the Most-circulated items report.CVE-2026-105107 · Other software · Koha Community · reported by 309f9ea4-e3e9-4c6c-b79d-e8eb01244f2cHigh 7.2
Koha is vulnerable to SQL injection in the Most-circulated items report. The reports/cat_issues_top.pl script (sub calculate) concatenates the user-controlled Criteria, Filter, and Limit request parameters directly into dynamic SQL. Criteria is only prefix-normalized and never validated against an allow-list, so it is inserted verbatim into identifier positions (SELECT DISTINCTROW, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, and the main calculation query). Filter values are concatenated raw into single-quoted LIKE, BETWEEN, and comparison fragments. Limit is appended raw to a LIMIT clause. An authenticated staff user with the reports module permission (not requiring superlibrarian) can inject arbitrary SQL and read any table reachable by the Koha database user, including borrowers (userid and bcrypt password hashes, two-factor secrets, personal data), api_keys, and sessions. The issue is fixed in Koha 24.11.19, 25.05.14, 25.11.08, and 26.05.03, and in the 26.11 development branch. This is the unpatched twin of reports/bor_issues_top.pl (CVE-2026-70372).

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix circular locking dependency in ocfs2_init_acl() A lockdep warning indicates a circular locking dependency between `&oi->ip_xattr_sem` and `&journal->j_trans_barrier`: WARNING: possible circular locking dependency detected is trying to acquire lock: (&oi->ip_xattr_sem){++++}-{4:4}, at: ocfs2_init_acl+0x2fd/0x7e0 fs/ocfs2/acl.c:367 but task is already holding lock: (&journal->j_trans_barrier){.+.+}-{4:4}, at: ocfs2_start_trans+0x3ab/0x700 fs/ocfs2/journal.c:369 The deadlock involves two code paths: Path 1 (setxattr) where `ocfs2_xattr_set()` acquires `ip_xattr_sem` (write) and then starts a transaction, which acquires `j_trans_barrier` (read); and Path 2 (mkdir/mknod) where `ocfs2_mknod()` starts a transaction (`j_trans_barrier` read) and then calls `ocfs2_init_acl()`, which attempts to acquire `ip_xattr_sem` (read) on the parent directory to retrieve the default ACL. This issue was discovered internally by Arista, and the company is not aware of any malicious exploitation of this vulnerability in customer networks.

Sep 11, 2026ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application.CVE-2026-54258 · Other software · ZoneMinder · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application. Versions prior to 1.36.39, 1.38.4, and 1.39.11 allow an authenticated low-privileged user with coarse `Events=View` and/or `Snapshots=View` permissions to directly fetch media for events belonging to monitors they are not allowed to access. The normal UI correctly hides the restricted monitor and its events, but direct event media views accept an arbitrary `eid` and stream media from the event path without enforcing the event/monitor-level ACL. This exposes private surveillance footage across monitor boundaries. Versions 1.36.39, 1.38.4, and 1.39.11 fix the issue.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vxlan: re-fetch eth header after route_shortcircuit() Before route_shortcircuit(), the eth header pointer is cached from eth_hdr(skb). Inside route_shortcircuit(), pskb_may_pull() can be called, which may reallocate skb->head. In this case, returning to vxlan_xmit() leaves the cached eth pointer pointing to freed memory, leading to a use-after-free when dereferencing eth->h_dest. Fix this by updating eth = eth_hdr(skb) after calling route_shortcircuit().

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
