  • Oct 28, 2026AnkiMCP is an Anki addon that implements an MCP server, enabling AI assistants to interact with the Anki flashcard application.CVE-2026-61546 · Other software · ankimcp · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

AnkiMCP is an Anki addon that implements an MCP server, enabling AI assistants to interact with the Anki flashcard application. Prior to version 0.21.0, `anki_mcp_server/mcp_server.py` globally disables FastMCP DNS-rebinding protection through `TransportSecuritySettings` with `enable_dns_rebinding_protection=False`, including for the default local Streamable HTTP listener. The defaults in `anki_mcp_server/config.py` enable `http_enabled` on `127.0.0.1:3141`, with an empty `http_path` selecting the root endpoint. No bearer token, API key, session secret, strict `Host` allowlist or strict `Origin` allowlist is enforced before `initialize`, `tools/list` and `tools/call` reach MCP dispatch. A victim who visits a malicious web page while Anki and the listener are running can have browser requests rebound to loopback, allowing the attacker to `initialize` MCP, enumerate tools, read the local collection, and perform enabled non-destructive note/deck creation or updates. The attacker needs neither LAN position nor a local process. Available operations depend on enabled tool filters; destructive tools are hidden unless `enabled_destructive_tools` is opted into, limiting deletion-level impac

  • Oct 28, 2026OpenHop is a tool for creating interactive data-flow diagrams.CVE-2026-59179 · Other software · naorsabag · reported by GitHubHigh 8.3

OpenHop is a tool for creating interactive data-flow diagrams. Prior to 0.3.7, `@openhop/server` passes unauthenticated flow route parameters from `GET /api/flows/:id` and `DELETE /api/flows/:id` in `packages/server/src/routes.ts` to `FlowStore.filePath()` in `packages/server/src/store.ts` without an identifier allow-list. The router applies `decodeURIComponent` to the id, and `path.join()` then normalizes traversal outside the configured flow directory after appending the .yaml extension. An attacker can read accessible YAML files as YAML-parsed JSON or permanently delete accessible .yaml files outside that directory, exposing configuration or secrets and disrupting dependent services. In `packages/server/src/index.ts`, CORS `origin: true` permits any browser origin, enabling a malicious webpage to target a loopback-bound instance. Docker deployments default to `HOST=0.0.0.0` and permit direct unauthenticated network access. This issue is fixed in repository release 0.3.7.

  • Oct 21, 2026GitPython is a python library used to interact with Git repositories.CVE-2026-114145 · Other software · gitpython-developers · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

GitPython is a python library used to interact with Git repositories. Prior to 3.2.1, create_submodule() in git/objects/submodule/base.py accepts an attacker-influenced submodule path such as .git/hooks and invokes _clone_repo() before safely rejecting the destination. In 3.1.x, _validate_repo_path() does not exist and the call succeeds silently, while in 3.2.0 and later affected revisions the check in git/index/base.py raises ValueError only after the clone has written to disk and does not remove the planted file. An attacker-controlled submodule can therefore place an executable post-checkout hook that a later Git operation executes. Exploitation requires an application to accept an untrusted submodule path and a clone destination such as .git/hooks that is empty enough for Git to clone into it, which commonly means that default sample hooks are absent. This issue is fixed in version 3.2.1.

  • Oct 15, 2026NL Portal Backend Libraries provide backend components for Dutch government portals that interact with residents, customers, suppliers, and partner organizationCVE-2026-55414 · Other software · nl-portal · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

NL Portal Backend Libraries provide backend components for Dutch government portals that interact with residents, customers, suppliers, and partner organizations. From 1.1.0 until 3.0.4, and in 3.1.0, the public getFormDefinitionByObjectenApiUrl and deprecated getFormDefinitionById GraphQL resolvers are reachable without CommonGroundAuthentication and forward a caller-influenced URL through ObjectenApiService.getObjectByUrl to ObjectsApiClient.getObjectByUrl, which attaches the privileged Objecten-API token. The host-equality check restricts requests to the configured Objecten-API host but does not constrain the scheme, port, or path, allowing an unauthenticated caller to induce a token-bearing request to a chosen endpoint on that host. Standard deployments are not exposed to cross-host SSRF, token capture requires attacker-controlled routing on the configured host, and typed deserialization limits returned data to objects shaped like form definitions. The 3.0 release line is fixed in version 3.0.4. The advisory does not identify a fixed 3.1 release.

NL Portal Backend Libraries provide backend components for Dutch government portals that interact with residents, customers, suppliers, and partner organizations. Prior to 3.0.3, both the getDocumentContent GraphQL query and GET /api/documentapi/{documentapi}/document/{documentId}/content REST route allow any authenticated portal user to retrieve a document without checking ownership of or another authorized relationship to it. A user with a valid login and another person's document identifier can read that document's contents, which may include sensitive personal information. • Oct 13, 2026JupyterLab is an extensible environment for interactive and reproducible computing, based on the Jupyter Notebook Architecture.CVE-2026-102832 · Other software · jupyterlab · reported by GitHubMedium 4.2

JupyterLab is an extensible environment for interactive and reproducible computing, based on the Jupyter Notebook Architecture. From 4.5.7 until 4.5.11 and 4.6.4, the markdownviewer:trust and notebook:trust command-link handlers use tracker.currentWidget to resolve the current Markdown viewer or notebook when the user answers rather than retaining the document whose command button was clicked. If another document becomes current while the prompt is open and the user chooses Trust, JupyterLab marks the second document trusted while leaving the clicked document untrusted. Later command buttons in the incorrectly trusted document run without a prompt, and trusting a notebook marks all cells trusted, saves unsaved edits, and persists the server signature to disk. Applications that bundle JupyterLab, including affected Notebook and JupyterLite releases, inherit the behavior. This issue is fixed in versions 4.5.11 and 4.6.4.

  • Oct 9, 2026Shiny for Python is a framework for building interactive web applications in Python.CVE-2026-108258 · Other software · posit-dev · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

Shiny for Python is a framework for building interactive web applications in Python. From 1.4.0 until 1.6.4, bookmark restore accepts a client-supplied state_id and joins it into the server-side shiny_bookmarks directory without validating that it is a single safe path segment. An unauthenticated request can use parent-directory segments or an absolute path to make the server open input.json and values.json outside the bookmark store, even when bookmark_store is set to disable. In applications configured with bookmark_store set to server and using ui.input_file(), the restore handler can additionally copy and expose an attacker-selected file from an attacker-selected directory. • Oct 8, 2026The Mechanize library is used for automating interaction with websites.CVE-2026-107715 · Other software · sparklemotion · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8

The Mechanize library is used for automating interaction with websites. Prior to 2.14.1, Mechanize sends caller-supplied credential headers to a different host after an HTTP redirect. Mechanize#request_headers= is reapplied by Mechanize::HTTP::Agent#request_add_headers even after Mechanize::HTTP::Agent#response_redirect strips per-request headers, and the protected header lists omit Proxy-Authorization and Cookie2. An attacker who controls a redirect target can capture bearer tokens or session cookies supplied through request_headers= or the per-request headers argument, while Mechanize#cookie_jar and Mechanize::HTTP::AuthStore are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 2.14.1.

The Mechanize library is used for automating interaction with websites. Prior to 2.14.1, Mechanize::HTTP::Agent#response_redirect treats redirects as same-origin when the host matches without consistently comparing scheme and port. A same-host HTTPS-to-HTTP redirect can send Authorization and Cookie headers over cleartext, while a same-host redirect to another port can send a caller-supplied Cookie header to a different service. Cookies in Mechanize#cookie_jar remain scoped separately; the issue affects caller-supplied headers and can disclose credentials without affecting integrity or availability. The Mechanize library is used for automating interaction with websites. Prior to 2.14.1, Mechanize applies no origin trust boundary in Mechanize::HTTP::Agent#response_follow_meta_refresh when Mechanize#follow_meta_refresh is enabled. A page containing a meta refresh to another origin causes headers configured through Mechanize#request_headers= to be reapplied to the refresh request, allowing an attacker who controls content in the crawl to capture bearer tokens or session cookies. The default configuration is not affected because follow_meta_refresh is false, and the exposure is limited to caller-supplied default headers. This issue is fixed in version 2.14.1.

Missing authorization on COM objects in Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.0.0 through 6.3.5 (Windows only) lets a local interactive user with no hMailServer credential read and write arbitrary files as the service account and queue mail as any sender. The service registers its COM classes with no DCOM access or launch permission and calls CoInitializeSecurity with no security descriptor, so any user logged on at the console or over Remote Desktop can activate the classes in the running service; a hMailServer.Message, its Attachments and Attachment, and a hMailServer.FetchAccount created this way carry a credential that never authenticated. The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.36.0, ValueReader.readShortstr decodes malformed UTF-8 bytes into replacement characters that can re-encode beyond the AMQP shortstr limit enforced by ValueWriter.writeShortstr. An attacker who can submit an RPC message with a malformed echoed property can cause reply publication in RpcServer.mainloop() or tutorial-style consumers to throw an unchecked exception before acknowledgement. Prior to 5.37.0, com.rabbitmq.tools.json.JSONReader.read() fails to terminate when input ends inside a quoted string or a line comment because its string and whitespace scanners do not stop at CharacterIterator.DONE. SimpleChat is a secure AI conversation application with personal and group workspaces for document-grounded interactions. Prior to 0.261.029, POST /api/group_documents/upload stores an attacker-controlled group document filename that group_workspaces.html later interpolates into inline Share event handlers. The escapeGroupHtml function leaves apostrophes unchanged, while escapeHtml produces an HTML entity that the browser decodes before JavaScript evaluation, so either path permits the filename to terminate the handler string. An authenticated group Owner, Admin, or DocumentManager can persist script that executes in the SimpleChat origin when another group member clicks Share, allowing access to victim-visible data and actions with the victim session. SimpleChat is a secure AI conversation application with personal and group workspaces for document-grounded interactions. In versions 0.261.003 and 0.261.027, an authorization ordering flaw in POST /api/user/plugins allows an authenticated low-privileged user to omit the top-level MCP type so that _reject_non_admin_mcp_stdio skips inspection before the type is restored from metadata. The stored personal action can then reach McpPluginFactory.create_connector, and MCPStdioPlugin.connect starts the attacker-selected operating-system process under the application service identity when the action tool is invoked. Exploitation requires personal plugins to be enabled and governance to permit MCP actions, and it can expose or modify secrets and data available to the service or disrupt the service. This issue is fixed in version 0.261.031.

JupyterLab is an extensible environment for interactive and reproducible computing, based on the Jupyter Notebook Architecture. From JupyterLab 4.0.0 until 4.5.11 and 4.6.4, the PyPI Extension Manager uninstall request reaches ExtensionHandler.post, which validates extension names for installation but passes uninstall names to PyPIExtensionManager.uninstall and python -m pip uninstall without rejecting option-like values. The security impact requires that the PyPI Extension Manager is enabled, the account can call the extension API, and kernels and terminals are disabled or delegated to remote hosts; otherwise the user can already read files and make outbound requests directly. An authenticated user with extension API access can supply a pip requirements option to make the server read a local file or fetch an internal URL, and reflected parse errors can return the first unparsable line or response content. A pip log option can also create or corrupt a chosen path with pip-generated log text, but the requester cannot select an arbitrary disclosed line or arbitrary file content, and the injection does not add code execution or availability impact beyond ordinary package removal. JupyterLab is an extensible environment for interactive and reproducible computing, based on the Jupyter Notebook Architecture. From JupyterLab 3.0.0 until 4.5.11 and 4.6.4, and in JupyterLite Core 0.8.3 and earlier, the Plural-Forms header in a selected third-party language pack can append JavaScript after a valid plural rule because prefix-only regular-expression validation accepts a matching prefix without requiring the entire header to match. JupyterLab passes the accepted expression to new Function, so loading the catalogue and translating a plural string executes the appended code in the authenticated JupyterLab origin. Where Jupyter Server kernels, terminals, and APIs are exposed, the code can use authenticated server APIs to read or modify files and run code. Impact is much more limited in JupyterLite because it typically lacks most exposed Jupyter Server surfaces. The default English locale is unaffected because it does not load a translation catalogue. NotebookLM MCP is an MCP server and HTTP service for interacting with Google NotebookLM and exporting generated content to local vault directories. Versions 1.6.0 through 2.0.2 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the `POST /batch-to-vault` endpoint, also exposed through the `batch_to_vault` MCP tool beginning in version 1.7.0, because attacker-controlled `vault_dir` and `slug_prefix` values can cause Markdown and JSON files to be written outside the intended vault directory to any location writable by the server process. Version 2.0.3 sanitizes `slug_prefix` and supports vault containment when `NOTEBOOKLM_VAULT_ROOT` is configured; containment is not enabled if that variable is unset. Users unable to upgrade should run the server as a dedicated unprivileged account restricted to the intended vault, keep the HTTP endpoint limited to localhost, and validate `vault_dir` values supplied by LLMs processing untrusted content.

The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.34.0, AMQConnection.start() applies Math.min(maxInboundMessageBodySize, frameMax) after Connection.Tune negotiation even though AMQP defines frameMax value zero as unlimited and ConnectionFactory.DEFAULT_FRAME_MAX is zero. When the client default and server-negotiated value are both zero, the result is passed to Utils.framePayloadLimit(int), which interprets zero as Integer.MAX_VALUE and disables the configured maxInboundMessageBodySize cap. A malicious AMQP server, or a man-in-the-middle attacker able to modify Connection.Tune and inject frames into the connection, can then send an oversized frame of any frame type, causing Frame.readFrom() to allocate a large byte array before content-level validation and potentially terminate the client process through memory exhaustion. • Sep 16, 2026MDC is a tool to take regular Markdown and write documents interacting deeply with a Vue component.CVE-2026-63671 · Other software · nuxt-content · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

MDC is a tool to take regular Markdown and write documents interacting deeply with a Vue component. Prior to 0.22.1, @nuxtjs/mdc uses parseMarkdown with allowDangerousHtml enabled by default and relies on validateProps, validateProp, and unsafeLinkPrefix to remove executable URLs from untrusted Markdown. validateProp checks only attributes named href or src, allowing an SVG xlink:href value represented as xLinkHref to retain a javascript: URL that executes in the page origin when selected. The data:text/html denylist entries are also compared against url.protocol, which is only data:, so an iframe src containing data:text/html survives sanitization and executes in an opaque origin when loaded. Plain href javascript: URLs, srcdoc, object, script, and base elements are already blocked, making these two paths specific sibling gaps in the sanitizer. This issue is fixed in version 0.22.1.

  • Sep 15, 2026canto-saas-api is a PHP library for interacting with the Canto SaaS API.CVE-2026-55375 · Other software · jleehr · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

canto-saas-api is a PHP library for interacting with the Canto SaaS API. Prior to version 3.0.0, OAuth2Request::getQueryParams() places app_id, app_secret, refresh_token, and code in the URL query string of token POST requests, allowing access logs, proxy logs, and APM traces to persist the credentials in plaintext. When a token request fails, OAuth2::obtainAccessToken() also passes the credential-bearing Guzzle request URI into AuthorizationFailedException, so application logs and error trackers can record the same secrets. An attacker with access to affected telemetry can obtain Canto credentials and use them to request access tokens for the tenant. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.0.

canto-saas-api is a PHP library for interacting with the Canto SaaS API. Prior to version 3.0.0, Request::buildRequestUrl() joins values returned by Request::getPathVariables() without encoding individual path segments, including the scheme and contentId values used by GetContentDetailsRequest. When a consuming application supplies an untrusted path variable value, path traversal sequences, query delimiters, or fragment delimiters can change the destination endpoint before AbstractEndpoint::sendRequest() attaches the configured authentication token. An attacker who controls that path variable value through the consuming application can cause unintended reads or writes with the configured application's privileges on the same Canto instance, but applications that pass only trusted and validated identifiers are not exploitable. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.0.

  • Sep 15, 2026MySQL MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol server that enables secure interaction with MySQL databases.CVE-2026-59971 · Other software · designcomputer · reported by GitHubCritical 10

MySQL MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol server that enables secure interaction with MySQL databases. Prior to 0.4.2, setting MCP_TRANSPORT=sse causes src/mysql_mcp_server/server.py to construct SseServerTransport without security_settings or enable_dns_rebinding_protection, while the Starlette routes /, /sse, and /messages/ have no authentication and the service binds to 0.0.0.0 by default. A network attacker can directly reach execute_sql, or can use DNS rebinding to make a victim's browser relay same-origin requests to a locally bound service, and supply a query that reaches cursor.execute(query). This allows unauthenticated disclosure and modification of the configured database; when the MySQL account has FILE privileges, the same access can read or write server files and may enable code execution. The default stdio transport is not affected. This issue is fixed in 0.4.2.

OpenZeppelin Contracts Wizard is a web application to interactively build a contract out of components from OpenZeppelin Contracts. Prior to @openzeppelin/wizard 0.10.11, @openzeppelin/wizard-cairo 3.0.1, @openzeppelin/wizard-stellar 0.6.2, and @openzeppelin/wizard-stylus 0.3.1, the setInfo code path prints info.securityContact and info.license verbatim into single-line comments in generated Solidity, Cairo, Stellar/Soroban, and Stylus source. A line terminator ends the comment and causes following input to be emitted as source declarations. Exploitation requires an integration to populate these fields from untrusted input and a user to consume the generated source; normal self-service web, AI assistant, CLI, and self-hosted API use does not cross that trust boundary, shared links cannot set the fields, and no code executes on a Wizard service. This issue affects generated-source integrity only and is fixed in versions 0.10.11, 3.0.1, 0.6.2, and 0.3.1 of the respective packages.

  • Sep 14, 2026dbt-mcp is a Model Context Protocol server for interacting with dbt.CVE-2026-55837 · Other software · dbt-labs · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8

dbt-mcp is a Model Context Protocol server for interacting with dbt. Prior to 1.20.0, the local OAuth helper in src/dbt_mcp/oauth/fastapi_app.py exposes GET /dbt_platform_context without authentication or Host validation after a user completes the dbt Platform OAuth flow. The endpoint returns the full DbtPlatformContext, including access_token and refresh_token values persisted by the context manager, to any process that can reach 127.0.0.1:6785. The absence of TrustedHostMiddleware allows a remote attacker to use DNS rebinding against a victim's browser because the helper accepts arbitrary Host headers, while a co-located process can request the endpoint directly. The stolen tokens provide immediate dbt Platform API access as the victim and persistent access through the refresh token, allowing access to or modification of projects, jobs, environment secrets, and related account data. This issue is fixed in version 1.20.0.

hashi-vault-js is a Node.js module for interacting with the HashiCorp Vault API. Prior to 0.5.2, every API method in src/Vault.js passes failed requests through parseAxiosError(), which rethrows the raw AxiosError while retaining AxiosError.config and the equivalent response configuration. These objects can contain the X-Vault-Token request header and err.config.data request body, including submitted passwords or secret values. When a consuming application records the caught exception through console logging, structured loggers, monitoring, crash reporting, or an application performance monitoring service, the live Vault token and request secrets can be stored in plaintext and exposed to anyone with access to that output. A stolen token can permit unauthorized access to the Vault instance under the token's policies. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.2.

Affected versions of MISP’s interactive CLI shell do not reliably preserve the identity of the impersonated MISP user across audit logging. The shell is designed to run actions as a supplied MISP user ID. However, the legacy SysLogLogable behavior stored that identity in behavior-instance state that could be overwritten when another model lazily attached the shared behavior. Consequently, subsequent CLI writes could lose the intended user attribution and be logged incorrectly. The commit also notes that CLI-originated records lacked a CLI marker, making them appear similar to ordinary web actions by that user. Version affected: ≤2.5.45

Affected versions of MISP’s interactive CLI shell implement access control independently from the normal web application, causing several authorization inconsistencies. The patch shows that CLI access could differ from the web application in multiple security-sensitive areas:  - feed listings did not enforce the same lookup_visible restrictions for non-host-organisation users;  - feed detail access did not enforce the same host-organisation/site-admin authorization as FeedsController::view();  - Feed.headers, which can contain HTTP authorization credentials, could be exposed instead of being hidden or masked;  - server synchronization authkey values were not explicitly hidden from CLI detail output;  - sharing-group detail access did not consistently use SharingGroup::checkIfAuthorised();  - the use command could establish context for a record without first proving that the user was authorized to view that record The commit additionally hardens pagination and terminal rendering, including neutralization of terminal control sequences found in database-backed values. Those are important hardening changes, but the main vulnerability is the CLI authorization/data-disclosure mismat

  • Sep 11, 2026NL Portal Backend Libraries provide backend components for Dutch government portals that interact with residents, customers, suppliers, and partner organizationCVE-2026-49462 · Other software · nl-portal · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

NL Portal Backend Libraries provide backend components for Dutch government portals that interact with residents, customers, suppliers, and partner organizations. In versions up to and including 3.0.0, deployments using the shipped default configuration exposed two GraphQL developer features without requiring authentication: the GraphiQL playground, an interactive UI for issuing GraphQL queries; and schema introspection, which lets a caller download the full description of every query, mutation, type, and argument the API supports. Anyone who could reach the `/graphiql` endpoint could open the playground in a browser, pull the full schema, and use that to map out the API and craft calls against it. By itself this does not leak user data, but it removes the guesswork from attacking the rest of the API and significantly lowers the bar for finding and exploiting other weaknesses. Version 3.0.1 patches the issue. As a workaround, override the two settings in deployed configuration.

Renovate, a dependency update tool, follows pagination links supplied by the GitHub server in the HTTP `Link` header when interacting with GitHub.com, GitHub Enterprise Cloud, or GitHub Enterprise Server, and sends the credentials configured for that host to the URL given as the 'next' page. Because the pagination URL is not validated against the host originally contacted, a malicious or compromised GitHub server can return a `Link` header pointing to an attacker-controlled host and cause Renovate to disclose those credentials to it. Exploitation requires that the GitHub server Renovate talks to (as the repository host or as a datasource such as github-releases, github-tags, or git-refs) is already malicious or compromised. The issue is fixed in renovate 44.11.3 (npm and renovate/renovate container images), Mend Renovate CE/EE images and the mend-renovate-ce helm chart 15.4.0, and the mend-renovate-enterprise-edition helm chart 10.4.0.
