  • Jul 16, 2026Grav before 2.0.4 ships a default .htaccess (and reference webserver-configs/htaccess.txt) whose rules blocking access to sensitive file types (.yaml, .php, .jsCVE-2026-62230 · Other software · getgrav · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7

Grav before 2.0.4 ships a default .htaccess (and reference webserver-configs/htaccess.txt) whose rules blocking access to sensitive file types (.yaml, .php, .json, etc.) lack the [NC] flag, making extension matching case-sensitive. On case-insensitive filesystems (Windows/NTFS, macOS/HFS+, or Docker volume mounts), an unauthenticated attacker can request these files with uppercase or mixed-case extensions (e.g., .YAML, .PHP) to bypass the restrictions and read sensitive configuration files that may contain API keys and credentials.

October CMS through 1.0.428 does not prevent use of .htaccess in themes, which allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code by downloading a theme ZIP archive from /backend/cms/themes, and then uploading and importing a modified archive with two new files: a .php file and a .htaccess file. • Sep 18, 2017Apache httpd allows remote attackers to read secret data from process memory if the Limit directive can be set in a user's .htaccess file, or if httpd.conf has CVE-2017-9798 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5

Apache httpd allows remote attackers to read secret data from process memory if the Limit directive can be set in a user's .htaccess file, or if httpd.conf has certain misconfigurations, aka Optionsbleed. This affects the Apache HTTP Server through 2.2.34 and 2.4.x through 2.4.27. The attacker sends an unauthenticated OPTIONS HTTP request when attempting to read secret data. This is a use-after-free issue and thus secret data is not always sent, and the specific data depends on many factors including configuration. Exploitation with .htaccess can be blocked with a patch to the ap_limit_section function in server/core.c.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
