Oct 28, 2026USB Test is a lightweight Windows CLI utility for verifying sector integrity and detecting overreported capacity on USB flash drives.CVE-2026-116776 · Other software · n-romanovich · reported by GitHubHigh 7
USB Test is a lightweight Windows CLI utility for verifying sector integrity and detecting overreported capacity on USB flash drives. Prior to version 1.1.5, getSectorSize() in USB Test/src/driveinfo.cpp trusts DISK_GEOMETRY.BytesPerSector returned by IOCTL_DISK_GET_DRIVE_GEOMETRY without checking whether the call succeeded or enforcing size bounds. USB Test/src/drivetest.cpp uses the value for division and to size a heap buffer before memcpy(buffer.data(), §or, 8), so a physically connected malicious USB storage device can report a value below eight bytes and cause repeated out-of-bounds writes, or report zero and cause a divide-by-zero denial of service when a user starts a drive test. The heap corruption can crash the elevated application and may permit arbitrary code execution. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.5.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-integrity: fix infinite loop on discard with large tag size When integrity_metadata handles a discard, it fills a buffer with DISCARD_FILLER and writes it over the tags, max_blocks blocks at a time. If the kmalloc fails, the buffer is the on-stack array checksums_onstack and max_size is set to HASH_MAX_DIGESTSIZE. So if the tag size is larger than HASH_MAX_DIGESTSIZE, max_blocks is zero, bi_size is never decremented and the loop never terminates. Fix this by using sizeof(checksums_onstack) as max_size. The array has MAX_TAG_SIZE bytes since commit b93b6643e9b5 ("dm integrity: fix a crash with unusually large tag size"), so max_blocks is at least 1.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-integrity: fix buffer overflow in inline mode with large tag size In inline mode, dm_integrity_check and dm_integrity_inline_recheck compute the checksum of each block into an on-stack buffer of HASH_MAX_DIGESTSIZE bytes. integrity_sector_checksum pads its result with zeroes up to the tag size, so if the tag size is larger than HASH_MAX_DIGESTSIZE, the padding runs past the end of the buffer. With CONFIG_STACKPROTECTOR the kernel panics in dm_integrity_check on the first read. Enlarge both buffers to hold MAX_TAG_SIZE bytes, as commit b93b6643e9b5 ("dm integrity: fix a crash with unusually large tag size") did for integrity_metadata. Note that this is not a security bug because the buffer overflow can only be triggered by root.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-integrity: validate the superblock on resume dm_integrity_resume() re-reads the superblock from the device so that it picks up the flags and the recalculate position. It performs no validation on the result, while the constructor validates the superblock it reads and sizes all the in-memory structures according to it. The user may modify the superblock on the underlying device while the dm-integrity device is suspended, so that the two no longer agree. In particular, access_journal_data() shifts the journal entry index by ic->sb->log2_sectors_per_block, while ic->journal_section_sectors and the journal page list were computed with the value that was present at constructor time. Increasing log2_sectors_per_block makes the index run past the end of the journal, and dm-integrity then writes 512 bytes through lowmem_page_address(NULL). Snapshot the validated superblock in the constructor and refuse to resume if any of the fields that describe the on-disk geometry changed.

Oct 19, 2026Improper Validation of Integrity Check Value vulnerability in Apache Camel Crypto PGP component.CVE-2026-85243 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 5.9
Improper Validation of Integrity Check Value vulnerability in Apache Camel Crypto PGP component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. unmarshal() verified the modification detection code only when the message was an OpenPGP symmetrically encrypted integrity protected data packet. The older symmetrically encrypted data packet carries no such code, and OpenPGP's CFB mode is malleable without one, so a message using that packet skipped the check altogether. The packet type is chosen by whoever produced the message, which left the sender - or anyone able to rewrite the message in transit - deciding whether the integrity check applied at all. The existing integrity option governs marshalling only and had no decrypt-side counterpart, so a deployment could not require integrity protection on the messages it accepted. Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. A requireIntegrityProtection option, defaulting to true, now rejects a message that is not integrity protected. Note that signatureVerifica

Oct 19, 2026MISP contains a data integrity flaw in its event deletion logic.CVE-2026-112180 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.1
MISP contains a data integrity flaw in its event deletion logic. When a user deletes an event, several associated records are not removed from the database, leaving them as orphaned entries. The affected record types include event report tags, event graph entries, proposal (shadow attribute) correlations, fuzzy ssdeep correlation chunks, and attachment scan results. These orphaned records may contain sensitive threat intelligence data such as correlation mappings, scan results, and report metadata that should have been removed along with the parent event. Their persistence beyond the intended deletion lifecycle creates a risk of unintended data retention and potential information exposure if the records are reachable through other application queries or administrative interfaces. Preconditions: - An authenticated user with sufficient privileges to delete events in MISP. - The event must have associated reports, graphs, correlations, ssdeep chunks, or attachment scan results. Impact: - Residual sensitive data persists in the database after the parent event is deleted. - Accumulation of orphaned records over time may contribute to storage bloat. - Orphaned records may be inad

MobaXterm Personal Edition (Portable) 26.4 GA extracts the CygUtils64.plugin file without first verifying its integrity. A local attacker with write permissions on this file can replace the ‘bin/cygwin1.dll’ library contained within it with a malicious library. Incomplete List of Disallowed Inputs (CWE-184) in the dangerous-extension confirmation of the archive object viewer (peach.pas, grid_obj_open) in PeaZip 10.5.0 through 11.2.0 on Windows allows an attacker who convinces a victim to open an entry of a crafted archive to execute a program, or an arbitrary command, with no confirmation dialog. The prompt (Do you want to run this file?) is gated by SECEXTCONST, a hard-coded list of seven extensions (exe cmd msi bat ps1 vbs reg); the check is an exact string comparison of the entry extension against that list, so it answers only whether the extension is one of the seven and never whether the shell will execute the file. Shell-executable and scripting-host types that Windows runs through ShellExecuteW are absent from the list, among them .url and .lnk. An archived Windows Internet Shortcut (.url) whose URL line is attacker-controlled is launched with no prompt, while the byte-identical content in an entry named .bat does raise the warning in the same session. A .lnk entry raises the ceiling from launching a program to running a command line, because a Windows shortcut carries arguments: a proof-of-concept shortcut targeting cmd.exe with a

Authentication bypass vulnerability in Stela, versions prior to 1.60.1, due to the use of a cookie named “authProcess” without validating its integrity. The application stores the user identifier (userId) and the status of the authentication process (validSteps) in this cookie and relies on these values—which can be modified by the client—to complete the login process. A remote attacker, without valid credentials or interaction from other users, could manipulate the cookie to bypass authentication checks and impersonate any account, including one with SUPER_ADMIN privileges. This would allow the attacker to obtain a valid JWT token with administrative privileges and compromise the confidentiality and integrity of the application.

Zebra before 6.4.0 contains an improper integrity validation vulnerability in the inbound gossip download path that allows unauthenticated peers to force dropping of new blocks without penalty. Attackers can serve a real block with a coinbase scriptSig rewritten to height 1, which keeps the ZIP-244 block hash, triggering a behind-tip drop before consensus validation and delaying tip discovery for mining backends.

Oct 12, 2026Improper Validation of Integrity Check Value vulnerability in hexpm hex allows a package mirror to substitute the tarball that mix hex.package fetch PACKAGE VERCVE-2026-105280 · Other software · hexpm · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 6.9
Improper Validation of Integrity Check Value vulnerability in hexpm hex allows a package mirror to substitute the tarball that mix hex.package fetch PACKAGE VERSION --output - writes to standard output. Hex compares a fetched tarball's inner and outer checksums with the repository's signed registry before writing it to a file or unpacking it. The standard output branch of mix hex.package fetch writes the bytes returned by Hex.SCM.fetch/3 without that comparison, and Hex.SCM.fetch/3 doesn't verify freshly downloaded tarballs itself. When a mirror configured with HEX_MIRROR_URL or mirror_url serves altered bytes, the command prints them and exits successfully, while the same fetch with --output FILE fails with a checksum mismatch. Hex also prints diagnostics to standard output while the command runs: the body of a failed HTTP response from the update check or a registry fetch, and API warnings from the x-hex-message header. A mirror that answers one of those requests with an error whose body is a tar archive gets that archive written to standard output ahead of the verified tarball, so a pipeline that unpacks standard output extracts the mirror's files. This happens even when the c

Oct 10, 2026Post Grid Gutenberg Blocks – PostX: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-96840 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2
The Post Grid Gutenberg Blocks – PostX plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via display_name User Field in all versions up to, and including, 5.1.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. WordPress core's pre_user_display_name filter encodes &, <, and > but leaves double-quotes intact (ENT_NOQUOTES), allowing a Subscriber-level user to store a double-quote in their display_name via /wp-admin/profile.php that subsequently breaks out of the alt="" attribute at Archive_Title.php:144.

A service console interface on openPDC and openHistorian deserializes a client-supplied data structure. On systems using Windows Authentication, an attacker must already be authenticated to reach this function; on systems without Windows Authentication, this is reachable by an unauthenticated network attacker. Oct 8, 2026Joomla Extension - balbooa.com - CSRF in language installation feature Gridbox < 2.20.4.0 - PagesController uses a trait that validates the Joomla session tokenCVE-2026-102784 · Websites & servers · reported by security@joomla.orgHigh 8.7
Joomla Extension - balbooa.com - CSRF in language installation feature Gridbox < 2.20.4.0 - PagesController uses a trait that validates the Joomla session token only when the HTTP method is POST. addLanguage does not require POST inside the action and reads url and zip through the generic request input. A GET request can therefore reach the action without the trait checking a token. The action still requires core.tools , but that is the victim’s permission check; it does not prove that the privileged user intended the request.

Oct 8, 2026Joomla Extension - balbooa.com - Path Traversal in image preview Gridbox < 2.20.4.0 - Gridbox contains the same prefix-only containment logic in its site UploadCVE-2026-102783 · Websites & servers · reported by security@joomla.orgMedium 6.3
Joomla Extension - balbooa.com - Path Traversal in image preview Gridbox < 2.20.4.0 - Gridbox contains the same prefix-only containment logic in its site UploaderHelper . The showImage action resolves a request-controlled path, calls that helper, and then returns the image. If image decoding is unavailable or fails, the action streams the file directly. An existing image in a sibling directory such as images-backup can therefore satisfy the current containment test even though it is outside the configured images root. The route restricts the file extension to Gridbox image types, which materially limits the read primitive. The default media root is images ; the effective site setting was not independently verified. No prefix-matching sibling directory was found alongside the site’s images directory. The finding is rated Low rather than presented as arbitrary file disclosure.
