Gotify server is a simple server for sending and receiving messages in real-time per WebSocket. Prior to 3.0.0, the password change endpoint (POST /current/user/password) accepts a valid client token without requiring the account's current password or another elevated authentication step. An attacker who obtains a client token can set a new password for the associated user, taking control of password authentication and forcing account recovery through an administrator or direct database access. • Oct 6, 2026wolfSSH does not validate that the ECDSA curve identifier in a KEXDH_REPLY host key blob matches the algorithm negotiated during key exchange.CVE-2026-16516 · Other software · wolfSSL Inc. · reported by facts@wolfssl.comCritical 9

wolfSSH does not validate that the ECDSA curve identifier in a KEXDH_REPLY host key blob matches the algorithm negotiated during key exchange. In ParseECCPubKey() (src/internal.c), the blob's algorithm string is used to derive the curve via NameToId/wcPrimeForId without checking against the negotiated ssh->handshake->pubKeyId, and the RFC 5656 curve identifier string is discarded via GetSkip() rather than compared. An active network man-in-the-middle attacker can substitute a host key blob containing a different ECDSA curve, causing the client to import the key on the wrong curve. Because the attacker controls the private key for the substituted curve, signature verification passes. Exploitation requires an active MitM position and a lax public key check callback (e.g., TOFU, algorithm-name-only check, or fingerprint match against the parsed key).

  • Oct 2, 2026cjbassi/gotop is vulnerable to local argument injection via process termination functionality.CVE-2026-91784 · Other software · cjbassi · reported by cvd@cert.plMedium 4.8

cjbassi/gotop is vulnerable to local argument injection via process termination functionality. The process name is passed directly to pkill without sanitization. A local attacker can create a process with a crafted name beginning with -- (e.g. containing a target user's UID). When the user running gotop invokes the kill feature on that process, pkill interprets the crafted name as a command-line option, terminating all processes owned by the targeted user. Product is no longer actively supported and the vulnerabilities have not been fixed. Vulnerability was confirmed at version 3.0.0; other versions were not tested but may also be affected.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix reloc root cleanup in merge_reloc_roots() If the root we got has zero root refs in its root item, we are resetting the root's ->reloc_root without using barriers like we do everywhere else. Sashiko complained about this while reviewing another patch, and it's correct (see the Link tag below). Also, we should not clear BTRFS_ROOT_DEAD_RELOC_TREE from the root unless the root points to the reloc root we have. Fix this by using clear_reloc_root(), which issues the memory barrier after setting the root's ->reloc_root to NULL and before clearing the bit BTRFS_ROOT_DEAD_RELOC_TREE from the root.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: o2hb: quiesce negotiate handlers and timeout work Heartbeat regions publish struct o2hb_region as the private data for the NEGO_TIMEOUT and NEGO_APPROVE o2net handlers as soon as make_item() creates the configfs region. The approve handler can call o2hb_arm_timeout(), so a peer can touch the region timeout work before dev_store() has finished building the heartbeat runtime, or after teardown has started to shut that runtime back down. The final configfs put also has to keep reg alive until the last in-flight o2net callback drops its handler reference. o2net_unregister_handler_list() blocks future handler lookups, but it does not wait for sc_rx_work that already passed o2net_handler_get(). That drain needs to cover local listener teardown as well, where the o2net ordered workqueue may already be inside destroy_workqueue(). Fix the lifetime rule in both directions. Initialize the region delayed works before publishing reg through the o2net handler table, keep new or stopping regions non-armable with hr_stopping, and quiesce both delayed works on failed-start and teardown paths even when no heartbeat th

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet: fix heap out-of-bounds read in nvmet_auth_negotiate() nvmet_execute_auth_send() allCVE-2026-90230 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.1

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet: fix heap out-of-bounds read in nvmet_auth_negotiate() nvmet_execute_auth_send() allocates the DH-HMAC-CHAP message buffer with the host-supplied transfer length (tl) and hands it to nvmet_auth_negotiate() without passing tl along. nvmet_auth_negotiate() then reads the negotiate header and, for each of the halen hash identifiers and dhlen DH group identifiers, indexes into the fixed idlist[60] array (hashes at idlist[0..halen), groups at idlist[30..]). Neither the transfer length nor halen/dhlen is validated. A malicious or non-conformant host can report a tl smaller than the negotiate structure, or a halen/dhlen larger than the array (both are u8, up to 255), making the loops read past the end of the allocated buffer (heap out-of-bounds read). The sibling nvmet_auth_reply() already validates tl against the structure size; the negotiate path did not. Pass tl into nvmet_auth_negotiate(), reject a tl that does not cover the negotiate data plus one full protocol descriptor, and reject halen/dhlen larger than NVME_AUTH_DHCHAP_MAX_DH_IDS.

Automatisch reveals whether an address is registered through the response to its forgot-password request. The controller at packages/backend/src/controllers/internal/api/v1/users/forgot-password.js looks the address up and chains a not-found throw onto the query, so an address with no account raises an error that the global handler renders as a not-found status, while a registered address proceeds to send the reset message and returns no-content. The route is mounted without authentication. Submitting candidate addresses and comparing the two status codes therefore establishes which addresses hold accounts, with no credential and no rate limiting in the path.

  • Aug 26, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: act_api: fix TOCTOU NULL deref on a->goto_chain tcf_action_exec() handles TC_ACCVE-2026-74740 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: act_api: fix TOCTOU NULL deref on a->goto_chain tcf_action_exec() handles TC_ACT_GOTO_CHAIN by first checking rcu_access_pointer(a->goto_chain) and then calling tcf_action_goto_chain_exec(), which does a second, independent rcu_dereference_bh(a->goto_chain) read and immediately dereferences chain->filter_chain. A concurrent tcf_action_set_ctrlact() (e.g. the gact replace path) can clear a->goto_chain between the two reads, so the second read returns NULL and tcf_action_goto_chain_exec() dereferences NULL. Fix the race by doing a single rcu_dereference_bh() read of a->goto_chain in tcf_action_exec(), checking it once for NULL, and passing the resulting chain pointer into tcf_action_goto_chain_exec(). This turns the split check/use into a single check/use on one value.

  • Aug 24, 2026Rocket.Chat exposes the sendForgotPasswordEmail Meteor method without a DDP rate limit, so an unauthenticated caller may invoke it as often as it likes.CVE-2026-75575 · Other software · RocketChat · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9

Rocket.Chat exposes the sendForgotPasswordEmail Meteor method without a DDP rate limit, so an unauthenticated caller may invoke it as often as it likes. The method is reachable over DDP and over the HTTP route POST /api/v1/method.callAnon/sendForgotPasswordEmail, and it triggers a password reset message for any address that matches an account. With no DDPRateLimiter rule registered for it, a caller can drive an unbounded volume of reset mail at a chosen address from the deployment's own mail sender, and can probe addresses at scale: the method answers true for an address with no account and for a successful send, but false when the address belongs to an account that authenticates through an external provider and Accounts_AllowPasswordChangeForOAuthUsers is off, so repeated calls distinguish that class of account. Later versions register a rule permitting ten calls per minute per client address.

  • Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost-scsi: Validate T10 PI scatterlist counts When T10 PI is negotiated, vhost-scsi splitCVE-2026-74703 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost-scsi: Validate T10 PI scatterlist counts When T10 PI is negotiated, vhost-scsi splits protection bytes from the data iterator before mapping the request scatterlists. A malformed request can claim protection bytes that cover or exceed the full payload length. The former leaves no data bytes to map, while the latter underflows exp_data_len before advancing the iterator. Both cases can let a zero data SGL count reach sg_alloc_table_chained(), which triggers BUG_ON(!nents). Reject protection lengths that cover or exceed the payload before subtracting prot_bytes and advancing the iterator. Also propagate negative errors from the protection SGL calculation before calling the allocator, matching the data SGL path.

  • Aug 19, 2026Gotenberg is a Docker-powered stateless API for PDF files.CVE-2026-45742 · Other software · gotenberg · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Gotenberg is a Docker-powered stateless API for PDF files. From 8.10.0 until 8.33.0, the newContext function in pkg/modules/api/context.go starts one errgroup.Go goroutine for each multipart downloadFrom entry and allows those goroutines to concurrently write to the shared ctx.files, ctx.diskToOriginal, and ctx.filesByField maps and slices. Go maps and slices are not safe for concurrent mutation, so a crafted multipart request containing many downloadFrom entries can trigger a data race and terminate the process with a fatal concurrent map writes runtime error. The default configuration enables downloadFrom and disables authentication, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to crash an exposed conversion service and cause a denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 8.33.0.

  • Aug 19, 2026Gotenberg is a Docker-powered stateless API for PDF files.CVE-2026-45741 · Other software · gotenberg · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Gotenberg is a Docker-powered stateless API for PDF files. In 8.32.0 and earlier, the IsPublicIP function in pkg/gotenberg/outbound.go does not reject the 2002::/16 6to4 prefix, the 64:ff9b::/96 and 64:ff9b:1::/48 NAT64 prefixes, the fec0::/10 deprecated site-local prefix, Teredo, and other transition prefixes that can embed or route to non-public IPv4 destinations. The addr.Unmap operation only handles IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses, so a crafted DNS AAAA record can cause the outbound HTTP client to treat an address wrapping an internal destination such as 169.254.169.254 as public. An unauthenticated attacker can use a conversion route with WithDenyPrivateIPs enabled to reach cloud metadata services, and the Chromium URL conversion route can return the internal response as a PDF, potentially exposing cloud credentials. Exploitation requires a deployment whose host routes the relevant IPv6 prefix, such as a dual-stack or NAT64-enabled environment. This issue is fixed in version 8.33.0.

  • Aug 19, 2026Gotenberg is a Docker-powered stateless API for PDF files.CVE-2026-44829 · Other software · gotenberg · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

Gotenberg is a Docker-powered stateless API for PDF files. In 8.32.0 and earlier, filename handling in pkg/modules/api/context.go uses filepath.Base on Linux, which does not treat backslashes as path separators, so a multipart filename containing Windows-style parent directory components survives sanitization. The original filename flows through ctx.diskToOriginal and the multi-output PDF routes into archives.FilesFromDisk and archives.Zip.Archive as the generated zip entry name. A remote attacker can submit a name such as ........\Windows\System32\evil.pdf through an upload or an upstream downloadFrom Content-Disposition header, and a Windows archive extractor can write the resulting file outside the intended extraction directory. The affected paths include /forms/pdfengines/split and other multi-output PDF, LibreOffice, and conversion routes, and exploitation can cause arbitrary file writes on a downstream Windows system when a user or process extracts the returned archive. This issue is fixed in version 8.33.0.
