In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md/raid1: don't set array_frozen in raid1_takeover() raid1_takeover() sets conf->array_frozen = 1 on the newly-allocated r1conf and nothing ever clears it, so every I/O to the array stalls permanently once _wait_barrier() sees it stuck at 1. This used to be harmless: level_store() called mddev_resume() right after pers->run(), which called raid1_quiesce(mddev, 0) and cleared array_frozen back to 0 regardless of what raid1_takeover() set. Commit b39f35ebe86d ("md: don't quiesce in mddev_suspend()") removed that quiesce(mddev, 0) call, so the pre-set now sticks. setup_conf() already zero-initializes the new r1conf via kzalloc, so just don't set array_frozen here. Same class of bug as commit 892da88d1cd9 ("md/raid10: fix a 'conf->barrier' leakage in raid10_takeover()"), also triggered by b39f35ebe86d.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/hugetlb_cma: fix null nodemask dereference in hugetlb_cma_alloc_frozen_folio alloc_buddy_hugetlb_folio_with_mpol() can pass a NULL nodemask to alloc_fresh_hugetlb_folio() as a fallback to allocate from all nodes. If order is gigantic, alloc_fresh_hugetlb_folio() propagates the NULL nodemask down to hugetlb_cma_alloc_frozen_folio() via alloc_gigantic_frozen_folio(). Additionally, hugetlb_cma_alloc_frozen_folio() previously attempted allocation on hugetlb_cma[nid] without verifying if nid is included in the caller's nodemask. Adding a node_isset(nid, *nodemask) check ensures the initial preferred node allocation honors the memory policy / nodemask. However, hugetlb_cma_alloc_frozen_folio() dereferences the nodemask in node_isset(nid, *nodemask) and for_each_node_mask(node, *nodemask), leading to a null pointer dereference kernel panic when nodemask is NULL. Fix this by checking if nodemask is NULL in hugetlb_cma_alloc_frozen_folio() and defaulting it to cpuset_current_mems_allowed. Enclose the allocation attempts within the cpuset seqcount retry loop so that if the cpuset changes concurrently during alloca

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: super: fix emergency thaw deadlock on frozen block devices do_thaw_all_callback() calls bdev_thaw() while holding sb->s_umount exclusively. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/page_alloc: return NULL early from alloc_frozen_pages_nolock() in NMI on UP On UP kernels (!CONFIG_SMP), spin_trylock() is a no-op that unconditionally succeeds even when the lock is already held. As a result, alloc_frozen_pages_nolock() called from NMI context can re-enter rmqueue() and acquire the zone lock that the interrupted context is already holding, corrupting the freelists. • May 27, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Require frozen map for calculating map hash Currently, bpf_map_get_info_by_fd calculaCVE-2026-45927 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 4.7

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Require frozen map for calculating map hash Currently, bpf_map_get_info_by_fd calculates and caches the hash of the map regardless of the map's frozen state. This leads to a TOCTOU bug where userspace can call BPF_OBJ_GET_INFO_BY_FD to cache the hash and then modify the map contents before freezing. Therefore, a trusted loader can be tricked into verifying the stale hash while loading the modified contents. Fix this by returning -EPERM if the map is not frozen when the hash is requested. This ensures the hash is only generated for the final, immutable state of the map.

  • May 27, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: quota: fix livelock between quotactl and freeze_super When a filesystem is frozen, quotactCVE-2026-45895 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: quota: fix livelock between quotactl and freeze_super When a filesystem is frozen, quotactl_block() enters a retry loop waiting for the filesystem to thaw. It acquires s_umount, checks the freeze state, drops s_umount and uses sb_start_write() - sb_end_write() pair to wait for the unfreeze. However, this retry loop can trigger a livelock issue, specifically on kernels with preemption disabled. The mechanism is as follows: 1. freeze_super() sets SB_FREEZE_WRITE and calls sb_wait_write(). 2. sb_wait_write() calls percpu_down_write(), which initiates synchronize_rcu(). 3. Simultaneously, quotactl_block() spins in its retry loop, immediately executing the sb_start_write() - sb_end_write() pair. 4. Because the kernel is non-preemptible and the loop contains no scheduling points, quotactl_block() never yields the CPU. This prevents that CPU from reaching an RCU quiescent state. 5. synchronize_rcu() in the freezer thread waits indefinitely for the quotactl_block() CPU to report a quiescent state. 6. quotactl_block() spins indefinitely waiting for the freezer to advance, which it cannot do as it is bl

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: irqchip/sifive-plic: Fix frozen interrupt due to affinity setting PLIC ignores interrupt completion message for disabled interrupt, explained by the specification: The PLIC signals it has completed executing an interrupt handler by writing the interrupt ID it received from the claim to the claim/complete register. The PLIC does not check whether the completion ID is the same as the last claim ID for that target. If the completion ID does not match an interrupt source that is currently enabled for the target, the completion is silently ignored. This caused problems in the past, because an interrupt can be disabled while still being handled and plic_irq_eoi() had no effect. That was fixed by checking if the interrupt is disabled, and if so enable it, before sending the completion message. That check is done with irqd_irq_disabled(). However, that is not sufficient because the enable bit for the handling hart can be zero despite irqd_irq_disabled(d) being false. This can happen when affinity setting is changed while a hart is still handling the interrupt. This problem is easily reproducib

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio-blk: don't keep queue frozen during system suspend Commit 4ce6e2db00de ("virtio-blk: Ensure no requests in virtqueues before deleting vqs.") replaces queue quiesce with queue freeze in virtio-blk's PM callbacks. And the motivation is to drain inflight IOs before suspending. block layer's queue freeze looks very handy, but it is also easy to cause deadlock, such as, any attempt to call into bio_queue_enter() may run into deadlock if the queue is frozen in current context. There are all kinds of ->suspend() called in suspend context, so keeping queue frozen in the whole suspend context isn't one good idea. And Marek reported lockdep warning[1] caused by virtio-blk's freeze queue in virtblk_freeze(). [1] https://lore.kernel.org/linux-block/ca16370e-d646-4eee-b9cc-87277c89c43c@samsung.com/ Given the motivation is to drain in-flight IOs, it can be done by calling freeze & unfreeze, meantime restore to previous behavior by keeping queue quiesced during suspend.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: don't misleadingly warn during thaw operations The block device may have been frozen before it was claimed by a filesystem. Concurrently another process might try to mount that frozen block device and has temporarily claimed the block device for that purpose causing a concurrent fs_bdev_thaw() to end up here. The mounter is already about to abort mounting because they still saw an elevanted bdev->bd_fsfreeze_count so get_bdev_super() will return NULL in that case. For example, P1 calls dm_suspend() which calls into bdev_freeze() before the block device has been claimed by the filesystem. This brings bdev->bd_fsfreeze_count to 1 and no call into fs_bdev_freeze() is required. Now P2 tries to mount that frozen block device. It claims it and checks bdev->bd_fsfreeze_count. As it's elevated it aborts mounting. In the meantime P3 called dm_resume(). P3 sees that the block device is already claimed by a filesystem and calls into fs_bdev_thaw(). P3 takes a passive reference and realizes that the filesystem isn't ready yet. P3 puts itself to sleep to wait for the filesystem to become ready. P2 now puts the last a

Fix this problem by adding MD_RECOVERY_FROZEN in md_stop_writes(), and since stop_sync_thread() is only used for dm-raid in this case, also move stop_sync_thread() to md_stop_writes(). 2) The flag MD_RECOVERY_FROZEN doesn't mean that sync thread is frozen, it only prevent new sync_thread to start, and it can't stop the running sync thread; In order to frozen sync_thread, after seting the flag, stop_sync_thread() should be used. 3) The flag MD_RECOVERY_FROZEN doesn't mean that writes are stopped, use it as condition for md_stop_writes() in raid_postsuspend() doesn't look correct. Consider that reentrant stop_sync_thread() do nothing, always call md_stop_writes() in raid_postsuspend(). 4) raid_message can set/clear the flag MD_RECOVERY_FROZEN at anytime, and if MD_RECOVERY_FROZEN is cleared while the array is suspended, new sy

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
