  • Oct 27, 2026FileBrowser Quantum is a free, self-hosted, web-based file manager.CVE-2026-116682 · Other software · gtsteffaniak · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6

FileBrowser Quantum is a free, self-hosted, web-based file manager. Prior to 1.5.2-stable and 2.0.1-beta, file read handling in backend/pkg/indexing/indexingFiles.go resolves symbolic links through GetRealPath without confirming that the resolved target remains inside the source root and the user's authorized scope. Download, preview, media, OnlyOffice, and public-share read flows that enable FollowSymlinks can therefore serve an out-of-scope target through a reachable in-scope symlink. An authenticated user with download access can read server-accessible files outside the assigned scope, and a holder of a public share link can do the same without an account when the shared directory exposes such a symlink. This issue is fixed in 1.5.2-stable and 2.0.1-beta.

  • Oct 20, 2026The file search of the extension builds its database conditions by wrapping the search term in quotes itself.CVE-2026-112238 · Other software · TYPO3 · reported by f4fb688c-4412-4426-b4b8-421ecf27b14aHigh 8.7

The file search of the extension builds its database conditions by wrapping the search term in quotes itself. Only the wildcard characters of the LIKE operator are escaped, quote characters are not. A crafted search term can therefore leave the intended string value and change the database query. This allows an attacker to read data from the database. The issue affects every searched field.

  • Oct 14, 2026FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations.CVE-2026-77427 · Other software · error311 · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. From 3.9.0 until 3.22.0, pristine manual FileRise installations without PERSISTENT_TOKENS_KEY or metadata/persistent_tokens.key can activate a published legacy compatibility key. If an attacker separately obtains ciphertext-bearing account or configuration files, the known fallback key can enable decryption of TOTP secrets or credentials. Docker installations already generated a unique persistent key, and existing installations are not automatically rotated because doing so could make encrypted state unreadable. This issue is fixed in version 3.22.0.

  • Oct 14, 2026FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations.CVE-2026-69194 · Other software · error311 · reported by GitHubMedium 4.8

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.21.0, FileRise returns the stored branding.footerHtml value through the unauthenticated public site configuration API without server-side sanitization. The FileRise frontend already sanitizes this value before rendering it into the page, using an allowlist of simple footer tags and safe link handling. The unauthenticated public config API exposed raw admin-provided footer HTML to clients, which is still undesirable and could be unsafe for alternate clients or future render paths. An administrator must first store the malicious footer value. This issue is fixed in version 3.21.0.

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.21.0, FileRise tracks failed logins only by the combination of source IP address and username. A remote unauthenticated attacker can rotate usernames to obtain a fresh per-account attempt budget for each name, enabling password spraying from one source beyond the intended limit. Per-user limits still apply and can also produce distinguishable throttling behavior for targeted accounts. The affected surface is AuthModel::getFailedLoginKey(). This issue is fixed in version 3.21.0.

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.21.0, FileRise enforces disableFormLogin, disableBasicAuth, and disableOIDCLogin in the client interface but not consistently in the corresponding server-side authentication flows. A user with otherwise valid credentials for a disabled method can call its backend endpoint directly and authenticate despite the administrator's login-method policy. The flaw does not permit credential-free authentication. This issue is fixed in version 3.21.0.

  • Oct 14, 2026FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations.CVE-2026-64856 · Other software · error311 · reported by GitHubLow 3.7

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.20.0, FileRise /api/file/snippet.php does not apply the standard authenticated-session guard before processing short text preview requests. The endpoint still performs FileRise ACL checks, so normal installations do not expose an unauthenticated arbitrary file read, but unauthenticated requests can reach ACL evaluation instead of receiving an immediate 401 response. Only additional unusual proxy-header or ACL misconfiguration is documented as allowing requests to proceed into path and file-content handling. This issue is fixed in version 3.20.0.

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.19.0, FileRise validates the complete folderName string but does not reject dot-dot path segments before FolderModel::createFolder() constructs and creates the destination. An authenticated low-privileged user with a valid CSRF token and create or owner permission on the parent can submit traversal segments to POST /api/folder/createFolder.php and create directories outside UPLOAD_DIR wherever the web-server account can write. • Oct 14, 2026FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations.CVE-2026-61844 · Other software · error311 · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.18.0, FileRise flattens logical folder paths into metadata filenames by replacing separators and spaces with hyphens, so distinct folders such as team/docs and team-docs can share one metadata file. Because uploader metadata is used to authorize read_own and ownership-restricted edits, a low-privileged user who controls one colliding folder, knows the target basename, and already has read_own access to the target folder can alter the metadata used by that folder, make the victim file appear attacker-owned, read it, and modify it when edit-own permission is also available. This issue is fixed in version 3.18.0.

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.18.0, FileRise upload-enabled shared-folder and upload-only links do not reject a destination filename that already exists. An unauthenticated visitor with a valid share token and any configured share password can upload a file with the same name as an existing file and silently replace its content while the original uploader metadata remains. The same replacement gap affects ordinary authenticated uploads through /api/upload/upload.php and authenticated upload-only users who lack edit authority over the existing file. FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.16.0, FileRise stores the isAdmin flag in remember-me tokens and restores that stale value during automatic login instead of resolving the account's current role from users.txt. A user who was issued a token while an administrator can retain administrator access after demotion, and token rotation copies the stale privilege into each replacement token. Exploitation requires possession of the pre-demotion remember-me token. This issue is fixed in version 3.16.0.

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.16.0, FileRise treats an empty or missing users.txt file as a fresh installation even after setup previously completed. If storage loss, truncation, or another failure empties the user store, an unauthenticated remote caller can detect that setup mode reopened and create the next initial administrator account through the setup flow. The application lacked a durable setup-complete marker independent of the mutable user store. This issue is fixed in version 3.16.0.

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.16.0, FileRise archive extraction does not apply UploadNamePolicy::isAllowedForWrite() before ZipArchive::extractTo() writes entries into the destination directory. An authenticated user with upload and extract permissions can place a blocked extension such as a PHP-family file inside a ZIP and cause it to be written to disk even when normal uploads reject that filename. Post-extraction metadata pruning does not remove the blocked file, so deployments that execute uploaded content may permit code execution. This issue is fixed in version 3.16.0.

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.16.0, when an administrator has enabled WebDAV, FileRise WebDAV Basic authentication validates only the account username and password through AuthModel::authenticate() and does not enforce the account's configured TOTP factor. An attacker who knows valid primary credentials for a TOTP-enabled account can authenticate to the enabled WebDAV service without supplying the second factor and exercise the account's WebDAV file permissions. The browser login path enforces TOTP, but the separate public/webdav.php authentication callback did not. This issue is fixed in version 3.16.0.

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.16.0, FileRise deployments with AUTH_BYPASS enabled trust the configured reverse-proxy identity header without verifying that the request originated from FR_TRUSTED_PROXIES. When the backend application port is reachable directly, an unauthenticated attacker can supply X-Remote-User and obtain a session for the asserted account, including an administrator account, without a password or MFA. The flaw is limited to deployments that enable proxy-header authentication and expose an untrusted path to the backend. This issue is fixed in version 3.16.0.

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.23.0, FileRise validates archive entry names but extracts them directly into the authorized live destination before validating resolved paths. If that destination already contains a symlink to a directory outside the storage root, an authenticated non-administrator with extract permission who can upload or otherwise place an attacker-controlled ZIP in that folder can place an ordinary archive entry beneath the link. ZipArchive::extractTo() can then overwrite an external file, and post-extraction cleanup can delete that target through the same linked parent, only where the FileRise process has the required filesystem write or removal permission. The advisory does not establish that the attacker can create the prerequisite symlink through FileRise. This issue is fixed in version 3.23.0.

Prior to 3.23.0, FileRise maps an authenticated OIDC identity to a local account using mutable preferred_username or email claims and does not require email_verified for email-based naming. An attacker who can obtain provider-issued claims colliding with an existing local username can be logged in as that account, including the built-in administrator, even when automatic provisioning is disabled. FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. In FileRise 3.22.0, the /api/file/saveFile.php operation accepts dot and dot-dot segments in its attacker-controlled folder input before ACL inheritance evaluates the uncanonicalized string. With an authenticated non-administrator session, a valid CSRF token, and inherited edit permission on a legitimate ancestor, the local filesystem or WebDAV adapter later resolves those segments as path navigation, permitting attacker-controlled file creation outside the authorized folder and, where backend credentials permit, outside the configured WebDAV root. Local storage also created directories before final containment validation and used a prefix comparison that accepted similarly named sibling roots. This issue is fixed in version 3.23.0.

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.23.0, FileRise permits an authenticated session with a valid CSRF token to disable TOTP without recent full reauthentication or to begin enrollment when the account currently has no TOTP secret. The enrollment endpoint returns 409 rather than directly overwriting an already configured secret, but it persists and activates a newly generated secret before a TOTP code verifies possession. An attacker controlling an existing authenticated session can therefore disable an existing second factor or enroll one after the account has no configured secret; this is not a direct overwrite of an active authenticator. This issue is fixed in version 3.23.0.

Prior to 3.23.0, FileRise /api/folder/renameFolder.php authorizes an authenticated, non-folder-scoped, non-administrator with a valid CSRF token against the source folder but does not independently authorize a changed destination parent. A qualifying user who owns a source folder can move that tree beneath another user's existing folder or into the root namespace, and the operation rekeys the moved ownership and ACL records to the new path. The destination must be unused and existing victim files cannot be overwritten. FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.14.0, FileRise authenticates requests to the file creation and share-link creation handlers but does not enforce the server-side CSRF token check used by adjacent state-changing operations. The POST endpoints /api/file/createFile.php and /api/file/createShareLink.php invoke FileController::createFile and FileController::createShareLink without rejecting a missing or invalid X-CSRF-Token header. A request issued with a logged-in user's session can create an empty file or create a share link with that user's permissions, although the default SameSite=Lax session cookie reduces ordinary cross-site POST reachability. The File Manager WordPress plugin before 8.0.5, FileOrganizer WordPress plugin before 1.2.1, File Manager Pro WordPress plugin before 2.1.3 do not correctly validate the origin of window messages received by the file browser they load on their admin screens, accepting any origin that is a leading string prefix of the site's own address, which allows an unauthenticated attacker to run arbitrary JavaScript in the session of a logged-in administrator who visits a page under their control. The defect is in the file-manager library all three bundle, and every version below 2.1.70 carries it. Updating the bundled library closes it.

  • Sep 17, 2026pgAdmin 4's File Manager save_file endpoint, which backs saving from the Query Tool and ERD, validated the requested path with Filemanager.check_access_permissiCVE-2026-86861 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007Medium 6

pgAdmin 4's File Manager save_file endpoint, which backs saving from the Query Tool and ERD, validated the requested path with Filemanager.check_access_permission() and then opened the file for writing with a plain open() call. CVE-2026-7819 had previously hardened the separate file upload path by opening its target with O_NOFOLLOW, so that the kernel refuses to follow a symbolic link at the final path component, but save_file was left on an unprotected open(). A symbolic link already present when the check ran was rejected by the check itself; the remaining exposure was a link substituted at the final path component in the interval between the check and the write, at which point the write followed the link and landed outside the user's storage directory, creating or overwriting an arbitrary file as the operating-system account running pgAdmin. Exploitation requires the ability to create or replace a symbolic link inside the requesting user's storage directory. pgAdmin exposes no interface that creates symbolic links, so this requires filesystem access to the pgAdmin host or to a shared or network-mounted storage backend, together with winning the timing window. • Sep 15, 2026Concrete CMS below 9.5.3 conversation attachment uploaded endpoint imported files into the file manager before evaluating the "Add Message Attachments" permissiCVE-2026-68533 · Other software · Concrete CMS · reported by ff5b8ace-8b95-4078-9743-eac1ca5451deLow 2.3

Concrete CMS below 9.5.3 conversation attachment uploaded endpoint imported files into the file manager before evaluating the "Add Message Attachments" permission, which was only checked after the file had been stored. A user denied that permission, or an unauthenticated visitor on a guest-posting configuration, could import approved files of allowed types into the file manager. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 2.3 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. • Sep 15, 2026Concrete CMS 9 before 9.5.3 did not escape SQL LIKE wildcard characters in the keyword search filters used by the file manager, file folders, and page list, allCVE-2026-68531 · Other software · Concrete CMS · reported by ff5b8ace-8b95-4078-9743-eac1ca5451deLow 2.1

Concrete CMS 9 before 9.5.3 did not escape SQL LIKE wildcard characters in the keyword search filters used by the file manager, file folders, and page list, allowing an authenticated user with editor-level or higher privileges to submit a crafted search containing many single-character wildcards. Because the keyword input was placed into the LIKE clause without neutralizing its wildcard metacharacters, a short request could force the database to evaluate every row and perform a full-table scan, and repeated or wildcard-dense searches could sustain elevated database CPU and I/O, degrading responsiveness for other users on large installations. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 2.1 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:H/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. Ekia File Manager 1.2.7 exposes com.ekia.filecontrolmanager.OpenFileProvider as an exported Android ContentProvider without requiring caller permissions. The provider maps the caller-controlled URI path directly to a filesystem path and passes it to new File(...). It then supports query(), openFile(), and delete() operations. Because the provider is exported and lacks android:permission, android:readPermission, or android:writePermission, another local application can access the provider authority and cause File Manager's process to read, create, overwrite, or delete files that are accessible to that process.

  • Aug 31, 2026elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI.CVE-2026-81891 · Other software · Studio-42 · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. Prior to 2.1.70, checkExtractItems() in php/elFinderVolumeDriver.class.php calls mimetypeInternalDetect() without passing the result through mimeTypeNormalize(). Because the .phtml, .phar, .php5, and .php3 extensions are absent from mime.types, the staticMimeMap entries that map them to text/x-php are not applied, and allowPutMime() permits extraction even when uploadDeny blocks text/x-php. An attacker with ZIP upload permission can extract PHP-executable files into a web-accessible files/ directory and achieve remote code execution when the server executes those extensions. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.70.

  • Aug 31, 2026elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI.CVE-2026-81890 · Other software · Studio-42 · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. Prior to 2.1.70, the netmount command is omitted from elFinderConnector::$csrfProtectedCmds in php/elFinderConnector.class.php, so validateCsrfToken() is not called for this state-changing operation. In the shipped php/connector.minimal.php-dist configuration, FTP network mounts are enabled by default, and attacker-controlled protocol, host, path, port, user, pass, alias, and options arguments flow through elFinder::netmount() in php/elFinder.class.php to php/elFinderVolumeFTP.class.php. A cross-site request can therefore persist an attacker-chosen FTP mount in the victim's session, cause the PHP server to connect to an attacker-chosen FTP host and port, and send supplied credentials without an X-elFinder-CSRF token. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.70.

  • Aug 31, 2026elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI.CVE-2026-81889 · Other software · Studio-42 · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6

elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. Prior to 2.1.70, elFinder URL uploads in php/elFinder.class.php can bypass server-side request forgery protections when PHP cURL is unavailable because validate_address() validates $info['ip'], but get_remote_contents() selects fsock_get_contents(), which connects to $arr['host'] and performs a second DNS resolution. An attacker able to submit a URL upload can use DNS rebinding to have the first resolution return a public address and the connection resolution return a loopback or private address, causing the internal HTTP response body to be stored as an uploaded file and made readable through elFinder. After a successful fetch, get_headers($url, true) separately requests the original hostname without reusing the validated and pinned connection, creating an additional blind server-side request forgery path even when curl_get_contents() is selected. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.70.
