Oct 28, 2026In openEQUELLA before 2026.1, the pre-login notice image upload endpoint (PUT /api/preloginnotice/image/{name}) does not validate the type of uploaded files andCVE-2026-16889 · Other software · Apereo Foundation · reported by 9c1820ae-fb77-4810-a8aa-ca46e7474d2fMedium 4.8
In openEQUELLA before 2026.1, the pre-login notice image upload endpoint (PUT /api/preloginnotice/image/{name}) does not validate the type of uploaded files and serves them with a Content-Type derived from the supplied filename. A user holding the EDIT_SYSTEM_SETTINGS permission can upload an HTML file that is then served as text/html from the openEQUELLA origin, resulting in stored cross-site scripting. Oct 28, 2026FearlessCMS is a flat-file `content` management system centered on simplicity and open source.CVE-2026-63190 · Other software · fearlessgeekmedia · reported by GitHubCritical 9.4
FearlessCMS is a flat-file `content` management system centered on simplicity and open source. Prior to version 0.1.4, five debug/test PHP scripts under `admin/` perform privileged operations without `isLoggedIn()` authentication checks, CSRF protection or adequate `path` validation. On PHP's built-in development server, including the default Docker deployment, `router.php` checks an unnormalized admin URI prefix while the filesystem resolves dot segments, so `/./admin/` bypasses the admin login gate and executes those scripts directly. In `admin/debug_save_flow.php`, attacker-controlled `path` and `content` reach `file_put_contents` for arbitrary `.md` writes under `content`/ or outside it through `path` traversal, enabling site defacement and stored JavaScript in public pages; `print_r($_POST)` output without `htmlspecialchars` escaping also causes reflected cross-site scripting. The `admin/debug_content.php` `path` parameter reaches `scandir()`, `file_get_contents()` and `posix_getpwuid()`, permitting arbitrary directory enumeration and `.md` file reads that expose absolute paths, ownership, permissions, hashes and `content` previews. The `admin/preview-handler.php` endpoint acc

Oct 28, 2026HTTP::Body versions before 1.24_01 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via regex backtracking on the filename of a multipart upload.CVE-2026-117500 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e
HTTP::Body versions before 1.24_01 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via regex backtracking on the filename of a multipart upload. For every file part, the multipart parser finds the suffix of the uploaded filename by matching the default $basename_regexp, qr/[^.]+(\.[^\\\/]+)$/, against the whole basename. A basename made of many dots and ending in a backslash makes the regex backtrack in time quadratic in its length. A remote attacker can exhaust CPU with one request, as a basename of about 32 KB takes several seconds to match and every file part is matched separately.

Oct 28, 2026MIME::Parser::FileUnder versions before 5.521 for Perl reuse a pre-created output directory and follow symlinks in it, letting local users redirect attachment wCVE-2026-116271 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e
MIME::Parser::FileUnder versions before 5.521 for Perl reuse a pre-created output directory and follow symlinks in it, letting local users redirect attachment writes. Each message is written to a directory named msg-<time>-<pid>-<n> under the output base, and an existing directory of that name is used as is. A file name counts as unused when nothing exists at that path, which holds for a dangling symlink, and the body file is then opened in a way that follows the link. When the output base is writable by other users, as with output_under("/tmp"), a local user can pre-create the directory with a symlink named like an attachment. The parser then writes the attachment to the link target with the privileges of the parsing process.

Oct 28, 2026MIME::Field::ParamVal versions before 5.521 for Perl turn an RFC 2231 filename with a hyphenated language tag into an empty recommended filename.CVE-2026-116269 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e
MIME::Field::ParamVal versions before 5.521 for Perl turn an RFC 2231 filename with a hyphenated language tag into an empty recommended filename. A parameter such as filename*=utf-8'en-US'payload.exe is converted to an encoded word with the language tag appended to the charset. The decoder strips the language suffix only when it is a single word, so it cannot resolve the charset UTF-8*EN-US and returns an empty string. The recommended_filename() method returns that empty string rather than falling back to the name parameter. Other mail readers return payload.exe. A remote sender can get an attachment past a policy that checks file extensions on the recommended filename.

Oct 28, 2026HTTP::Body versions before 1.23_01 for Perl leave the temporary file of an incomplete multipart upload on disk.CVE-2026-116132 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e
HTTP::Body versions before 1.23_01 for Perl leave the temporary file of an incomplete multipart upload on disk. The multipart parser creates a temporary file as soon as a file part starts, but adds it to the upload list only when the part completes. Uploads are only ever deleted from that list, by the cleanup option or by the caller, so a body that ends inside a file part leaves its temporary file where nothing can find it. A remote attacker can fill the temporary directory by repeating such requests, leaving one file behind for each.

Oct 28, 2026HTTP::Body versions before 1.23_01 for Perl allow memory and temporary file exhaustion via an unlimited number of form fields and multipart parts.CVE-2026-116131 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e
HTTP::Body versions before 1.23_01 for Perl allow memory and temporary file exhaustion via an unlimited number of form fields and multipart parts. The urlencoded parser splits the whole body on its separators at once, creating one scalar per separator before any field is stored. This costs about 90 bytes of memory per separator byte. The multipart parser creates a temporary file for every part that carries a filename. Neither parser limits how many fields or parts a body may hold. A remote attacker can exhaust worker memory with a body made of separators, or create thousands of temporary files with one request of small file parts.

Oct 28, 2026An authenticated Kafka principal with no authorization grants (not even ALTER_CONFIGS) can make a broker read a file or an environment variable from the broker CVE-2026-112375 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.org
An authenticated Kafka principal with no authorization grants (not even ALTER_CONFIGS) can make a broker read a file or an environment variable from the broker host and return its contents. An IncrementalAlterConfigs (or AlterConfigs) request targeting a BROKER resource reaches the broker's configuration validation before any authorization check is applied to that path. Validation resolves configuration variables such as ${file:/path:key} or ${env:VAR} using a ConfigProvider named in the request, and this resolution bypasses the org.apache.kafka.automatic.config.providers allowlist that was added as the mitigation for CVE-2024-31141. An arbitrary ConfigProvider (for example FileConfigProvider or EnvVarConfigProvider) is therefore instantiated and the referenced file or environment variable is read, and a type-validation error returns the resolved content to the caller. Impact: On a cluster with an authorizer enabled, an authenticated principal with no authorization grants can read the contents of files accessible to the broker process, and the broker's environment variables, exposing credentials, keystores, or other secrets, defeating the CVE-2024-31141 allowlist. Oct 28, 2026SAIL is a cross-platform library for loading and saving images with support for animation, metadata, and ICC profiles.CVE-2026-59959 · Other software · HappySeaFox · reported by GitHubMedium 4.8
SAIL is a cross-platform library for loading and saving images with support for animation, metadata, and ICC profiles. Prior to version 1.0.2, the built-in WebP decoder can crash during loader initialization when processing a malformed animated WebP file with inconsistent container or `ANMF` frame metadata. In `sail_codec_load_init_v8_webp()` in `src/sail-codecs/webp/webp.c`, `WebPDemuxGetI` with `WEBP_FF_CANVAS_WIDTH` can return a zero `image_local->width`, which is then used as a divisor when calculating `bytes_per_pixel` from the image row size. The division happens before frame decoding and before generic image skeleton validation in `src/sail/sail_advanced.c`, causing an arithmetic fault and process termination. Applications accepting untrusted WebP images can consequently suffer denial of service; builds must include the affected WebP codec. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.2.

Axel Download Accelerator 2.17.14 and earlier performs URL percent-decoding (http_decode()) on the output filename after the URL has been parsed and the filename component extracted. This allows an attacker to embed %2e%2e%2f (URL-encoded ../) sequences in the URL path. These sequences survive the URL parser intact (they contain no literal / characters) but are decoded into directory traversal sequences before the output file is opened for writing. As a result, a crafted URL can cause axel to write downloaded content to arbitrary filesystem paths relative to the current working directory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fill in FileSysIdentifier in FS_POSIX_INFORMATION smb2_get_info_filesystem() reports 56 bytes for FS_POSIX_INFORMATION, that is the whole of FILE_SYSTEM_POSIX_INFO, but never assigns FileSysIdentifier. Those eight bytes go to the client as they are found in the response buffer. The buffer is zeroed on allocation, so a standalone request leaks nothing. A compound request can leak: the offset of the next response is advanced by the length pinned for the previous one, so a reply that was written into the buffer and then dropped in favour of the short error response of smb2_set_err_rsp() stays there, and the next reply is laid over it with only the header cleared. Report the file system id statfs() returned, which is what the field is for. The mechanism binding files generated during a shredding process to the authentication method is not working correctly and the same session token is used for all token-based API users. This is similar to an issue fixed in 2026.7.1 but was missed while creating the fix. Since the files are referred to by randomly generated UUIDs and only exist for a day, there is virtually no risk, but it renders the added protection mechanism useless. As part of the fix, we have also improved hardening of some other related code areas.

Oct 28, 2026Bit Flows: AI Agent Automation & Integrations for Forms, CRM, eCommerce, Google Sheets, and More: Local File InclusionCVE-2026-110185 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.9
The Bit Flows: AI Agent Automation & Integrations for Forms, CRM, eCommerce, Google Sheets, and More plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 1.31.0 via the 'image (any body field referenced by the ImageHelper node's mix tag)' parameter parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to include and execute arbitrary .php files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where .php file types can be uploaded and included. Exploitation requires that an administrator has built a webhook-triggered flow that pipes a webhook body field into an ImageHelper imageToBase64 node, and that the webhook remains in its default configuration (no bearer secret enforced, no IP allowlist set) — a legitimate and documented use case.

Oct 28, 2026The Innovative Form Builder – IvyForms: Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-109384 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The The Innovative Form Builder – IvyForms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.1 via the filterFiletypeAndExt function. This is due to insufficient file type validation due to the absence of a dangerous-extension denylist in the allowed-extensions sanitizer and deliberate override of WordPress's native MIME and extension defences via a registered wp_check_filetype_and_ext filter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with custom-level access and above, to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible. An authenticated attacker with the custom add_edit_forms capability must first configure a File Upload field with a dangerous extension (e.g., php) in the allowed-extensions list; once that form is published, any unauthenticated visitor can trigger the actual file upload via the publicly accessible /wp-json/ivyforms/v1/form/submission/ REST route.

Oct 28, 2026Document Embedder – let visitors read files without downloading: Stored DOM-Based Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-109370 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The Document Embedder – let visitors read files without downloading plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored DOM-Based Cross-Site Scripting via the 'content (post_content containing block JSON documentSource.doc)' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.4.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The payload is triggered specifically when the victim clicks the embedded document's Download button, which causes the de_track_download AJAX fallback path to programmatically create an anchor with the attacker-controlled href and call .click() — a condition reached because supplying docId=0 causes can_read_document() to return false, bypassing the normal download flow.

Oct 28, 2026Contact Manager: Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-109218 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Contact Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 9.1.2 via the add_message function. This is due to an incomplete extension blacklist that fails to detect dangerous extensions when a trailing dot causes the extension-derivation routine to return an empty string, which sanitize_file_name() then silently removes before the file is written to disk. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible. Successful code execution additionally requires the server to use Apache with libapache2-mod-php (which maps .phar to PHP by default) and the attacker to retrieve the uploaded file within the brief window before it is removed by unlink() at end of request.

Oct 28, 2026Exposure of Resource to Wrong Sphere (CWE-668) in FileArtifactService in Google Agent Development Kit (ADK) for Python (google-adk) versions 1.19.0 before 1.39.CVE-2026-115522 · Computers, phones & browsers · Google · reported by cve-coordination@google.comMedium 5.3
Exposure of Resource to Wrong Sphere (CWE-668) in FileArtifactService in Google Agent Development Kit (ADK) for Python (google-adk) versions 1.19.0 before 1.39.1 and 2.0.0a1 before 2.7.0 allows a caller in one application to list, read, overwrite, or delete artifacts belonging to another application when both applications share a FileArtifactService root directory and use the same user_id (and session_id for session-scoped artifacts). FileArtifactService accepted app_name across its public API methods but omitted app_name when constructing on-disk paths (root/users/{user_id}/... instead of root/apps/{app_name}/users/{user_id}/...). Version 2.6.0 scoped writes by app_name but retained a legacy root/users/{user_id} fallback for reads and deletes; version 2.7.0 and the 1.x backport in version 1.39.1 removed the fallback and enforce full per-app path scoping.

The affiliate-toolkit – Multi-Network Affiliate & Amazon Product Display plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 3.9.2 via the upload_image function. This is due to insufficient file type validation in upload_image due to a weak Content-Type prefix check and extension derivation from the attacker-controlled URL path, with no dangerous-extension stripping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible. Exploitation requires the "import product image" option to be enabled in the plugin settings, as this activates the image download pipeline triggered on product post save.

Oct 27, 2026Pie Register Premium: Unrestricted File Type UploadCVE-2026-84999 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Pie Register Premium plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unrestricted File Type Upload in all versions up to, and including, 3.8.4.0 via the piereg_file_upload function. This is due to the plugin performing file type validation via wp_check_filetype and wp_check_filetype_and_ext but never checking whether those validation calls produced errors before move_uploaded_file() is called, combined with no nonce or capability check on the AJAX handler. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload files of dangerous types (e.g. PHP scripts) that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible. The server returns the generated destination filename in the response, giving the attacker the exact path needed to trigger the uploaded file.

Oct 27, 2026A remote RSS feed could use the itunes:new-feed-url or newLocation element to permanently change its stored subscription URL to a file: URL.CVE-2026-118178 · Computers, phones & browsers · Mozilla · reported by security@mozilla.org
A remote RSS feed could use the itunes:new-feed-url or newLocation element to permanently change its stored subscription URL to a file: URL. Thunderbird then read that location on every feed update. This allowed a malicious feed, or an attacker able to modify a feed delivered over HTTP, to make Thunderbird read local files and, on Windows, connect to an attacker-controlled network share, which could leak the user's NTLM credentials. The NTLM credential leak only affects Thunderbird on Windows. Other operating systems are affected by the local file read only. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 159 and Thunderbird 153.6.

Thunderbird's check that prevents mailbox: URLs from accessing files on remote Windows network shares could be bypassed using extended-length UNC paths. Displaying a specially crafted email could cause Thunderbird to connect to an SMB server chosen by the attacker, disclosing the user's Windows account name and NTLM authentication data, which could be used for offline password cracking or relay attacks. Oct 27, 2026FileBrowser Quantum is a free, self-hosted, web-based file manager.CVE-2026-116682 · Other software · gtsteffaniak · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6
FileBrowser Quantum is a free, self-hosted, web-based file manager. Prior to 1.5.2-stable and 2.0.1-beta, file read handling in backend/pkg/indexing/indexingFiles.go resolves symbolic links through GetRealPath without confirming that the resolved target remains inside the source root and the user's authorized scope. Download, preview, media, OnlyOffice, and public-share read flows that enable FollowSymlinks can therefore serve an out-of-scope target through a reachable in-scope symlink. An authenticated user with download access can read server-accessible files outside the assigned scope, and a holder of a public share link can do the same without an account when the shared directory exposes such a symlink. This issue is fixed in 1.5.2-stable and 2.0.1-beta.
