  • Oct 28, 2026Echo Knowledge Base – Documentation, FAQs, Chat & Smart Search: Reflected Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-101935 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.1

The Echo Knowledge Base – Documentation, FAQs, Chat & Smart Search plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'new_kb_config' parameter (specifically the article-mobile-break-point-v2 key, among other config keys interpolated into the <style> element) in versions up to, and including, 17.214.0 This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in EPKB_Frontend_Editor::fe_preview_config() and EPKB_Articles_Setup: on every knowledge base article page view, when the request supplies epkb_fe_reload_mode=on, an attacker-controlled JSON blob is merged over the stored KB configuration and several values are concatenated directly into a stylesheet emitted inside a literal <style> element without escaping (minify_css() does not strip <, > or /). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user (with Editor-level access or above, holding the manage_categories capability, or an Administrator) into performing an action such as clicking on a specially crafted link.

  • Sep 2, 2026FAQ Builder AYS: Does not sanitize or escape content submitted by unauthenticated visitors before storing it and outputting it in an admin area pageCVE-2026-81737 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanHigh 8.8

The FAQ Builder AYS WordPress plugin before 1.8.5 does not sanitize or escape content submitted by unauthenticated visitors before storing it and outputting it in an admin area page, and the escaping it does apply is undone by a subsequent decoding step, leading to Stored XSS which will execute in the context of a logged in administrator.

  • Sep 1, 2026BetterDocs – AI Documentation, Knowledge Base, Docs, Wikis, FAQ with Chatbot: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-75980 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The BetterDocs – AI Documentation, Knowledge Base, Docs, Wikis, FAQ with Chatbot plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Heading 'id' Attribute in Post Content in all versions up to, and including, 4.8.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The exploit survives wp_kses_post because entity-encoded quotes in a heading id attribute are treated as a single legitimate attribute value at save time; the dangerous payload only materialises after process_content_for_toc() calls html_entity_decode() on the stored content and the broken id is extracted by a lazy regex before being echoed unescaped into the Table of Contents output.

  • Jul 10, 2026BetterDocs – AI Documentation, Knowledge Base, Docs, Wikis, FAQ with Chatbot: Generic SQL InjectionCVE-2026-15104 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5

The BetterDocs – AI Documentation, Knowledge Base, Docs, Wikis, FAQ with Chatbot plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via the 'lang' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.6.0 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with custom-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. Exploitation requires a supported multilingual plugin (WPML, Polylang, qTranslate, Weglot, or TranslatePress) to be active on the site, as the vulnerable code path is gated by Helper::is_multilingual_active().

  • Apr 9, 2026Ultimate FAQ Accordion: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-4336 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The Ultimate FAQ Accordion plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via FAQ content in all versions up to, and including, 2.4.7. This is due to the plugin calling html_entity_decode() on post_content during rendering in the set_display_variables() function (View.FAQ.class.php, line 746), which converts HTML entity-encoded payloads back into executable HTML, combined with insufficient output escaping in the faq-answer.php template where the decoded content is echoed without wp_kses_post() or any other sanitization. The ufaq custom post type is registered with 'show_in_rest' => true and defaults to 'post' capability_type, allowing Author-level users to create and publish FAQs via the REST API. An Author can submit entity-encoded malicious HTML (e.g., &lt;img src=x onerror=alert()&gt;) which bypasses WordPress's kses sanitization at save time (since kses sees entities as plain text, not tags), but is then decoded back into executable HTML by html_entity_decode() at render time. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in FAQ pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an inject

  • Mar 26, 2026BWL Advanced FAQ Manager Lite: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-4075 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The BWL Advanced FAQ Manager Lite plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'baf_sbox' shortcode in all versions up to and including 1.1.1. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied shortcode attributes such as 'sbox_id', 'sbox_class', 'placeholder', 'highlight_color', 'highlight_bg', and 'cont_ext_class'. These attributes are directly interpolated into HTML element attributes without any esc_attr() escaping in the baf_sbox() function. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
