The Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via multiple Elementor widgets in versions up to and including 2.4.9. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the 'load_manually' parameter in the render() methods of classes. Sep 12, 2026The Events Calendar: Remote Code ExecutionCVE-2026-78159 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The The Events Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 6.17.3 via the parse_array function. This is due to insufficient validation of the widget 'classes' map, allowing a plain-array payload to bypass the is_safe_widget_instance() object check and reach the callable-invocation sink in Element_Classes::parse_array(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute code on the server. Exploitation requires that the targeted site has comments enabled on tribe_events posts and that at least one comment containing a crafted wp:legacy-widget block has been submitted, as the attack chain is triggered when do_blocks() processes the single-event HTML including the comment area.

Sep 12, 2026The Events Calendar: Remote Code ExecutionCVE-2026-78006 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The The Events Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 6.17.4 via the is_safe_widget_instance function. This is due to insufficient protection in is_safe_widget_instance, which can be bypassed because PHP fires magic methods during its pre-parse, combined with enable_rendering_widget_copied() forging a valid wp_hash integrity attribute before unserialize() is reached. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute code on the server. This is exploitable without authentication or approval because the plugin's V2 single-event template runs do_blocks() over buffered comment HTML, and WordPress returns a moderation-hash URL that allows an unauthenticated commenter to immediately view their own pending comment, delivering the injected block markup to the vulnerable code path before any moderation occurs. This does require comments to be enabled and visible on events.

Sep 2, 2026Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia (Premium): Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-9055 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia (Premium) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in versions 8.0 - 9.6.2. This is due to insufficient validation of the attacker-controlled 'type' parameter in the customer update endpoint, which allows customers to set their role to 'manager' and trigger creation of a WordPress user with the wpamelia-manager role when the 'externalId' parameter is set to 0. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to escalate their privileges to administrator by first elevating to the manager role, then creating a provider entity linked to an administrator user ID and overwriting that administrator's password.

Aug 28, 2026Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-6286 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2
The Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via customer name fields in versions up to and including 2.2. This is due to an authentication bypass where the AddBookingCommand explicitly skips nonce verification (Command.php line 186), allowing unauthenticated users to submit booking data. While the plugin applies sanitize_text_field() to customer firstName and lastName fields (BookingApplicationService.php lines 302-308), this function only removes HTML tags and preserves special characters including double quotes. The vulnerability manifests in the administrative Calendar view where a FullCalendar eventContent callback interpolates customer names directly into JavaScript template literals (redesign/dist/index.js line 199) and renders them via innerHTML without proper HTML entity encoding. Because double quotes are preserved, an attacker can inject payloads like '" onmouseover="alert(document.cookie)"' to break out of the title attribute and inject malicious event handlers. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that will execute when an administrator accesse

Jul 23, 2026Registrations For The Events Calendar: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-13119 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5
The Registrations For The Events Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via JSON keys in the 'standard' parameter handled by the rtec_records_edit AJAX action in versions up to and including 3.2. The handler decodes attacker-controlled JSON from $_POST['standard'] and uses the JSON array keys directly as column identifiers in the SET clause of an UPDATE statement built inside RTEC_Db_Admin::update_entry(). Only esc_sql() (mysqli_real_escape_string) is applied to the identifier; that function escapes quotes, backslashes, and a few control characters but does not escape spaces, equals signs, parentheses, or hyphens, so an attacker can break out of the identifier context and inject subqueries (terminated with a SQL comment). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above who can edit the targeted event, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

Jun 9, 2026Events Calendar for GeoDirectory: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-11616 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Events Calendar for GeoDirectory plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in versions up to and including 2.3.28. This is due to the ajax_ayi_action() handler only applying strip_tags(esc_sql()) — with no allow-list — to the attacker-controlled $_POST['type'] and $_POST['postid'] values before forwarding them to update_ayi_data(), which calls update_user_meta($current_user->ID, $rsvp_args['type'], $posts). By passing type=wp_capabilities and postid=administrator, an attacker writes ['subscriber'=>true,'administrator'=>'administrator'] into their own wp_capabilities user meta; WP_User::get_role_caps() then treats the 'administrator' array key as an active role on the next request. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to elevate their privileges to Administrator.

Jun 5, 2026Event Monster – Event Management, Events Calendar, Tickets: Insufficient Verification of Data AuthenticityCVE-2026-8608 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The Event Monster – Event Management, Events Calendar, Tickets plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insufficient Verification of Data Authenticity in versions up to, and including, 2.1.0. This is due to the capture_payment() AJAX handler (registered via wp_ajax_nopriv_em_capture_payment) trusting client-supplied payment data — including transaction ID, amount, and payment status — without performing any server-side verification against the PayPal API or any other payment gateway, and without nonce or capability checks. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to forge payment records, mark bookings as Completed, and obtain confirmation emails containing valid QR code tickets without making any actual payment.

May 2, 2026Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia: Improper AuthorizationCVE-2026-6449 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Improper Authorization in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.2. This is due to a logical short-circuit flaw in authorization logic that causes token validation to be entirely skipped when a booking has a 'waiting' status. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to approve any booking that is in 'waiting' status by sending a crafted request to the publicly-accessible admin-ajax endpoint.

Apr 7, 2026Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia: Insecure Direct Object ReferenceCVE-2026-5465 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.3. This is due to the `UpdateProviderCommandHandler` failing to validate changes to the `externalId` field when a Provider (Employee) user updates their own profile. The `externalId` maps directly to a WordPress user ID and is passed to `wp_set_password()` and `wp_update_user()` without authorization checks. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Provider-level (Employee) access and above, to take over any WordPress account — including Administrator — by injecting an arbitrary `externalId` value when updating their own provider profile.

Mar 31, 2026Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar - Amelia: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-4668 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5
The Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar - Amelia plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the `sort` parameter in the payments listing endpoint in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.2. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied `sort` parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query in `PaymentRepository.php`, where the sort field is interpolated directly into an ORDER BY clause without sanitization or whitelist validation. PDO prepared statements do not protect ORDER BY column names. GET requests also skip Amelia's nonce validation entirely. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Manager-level (`wpamelia-manager`) access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database via time-based blind SQL injection.
