  • Oct 28, 2026ESPHome Device Builder Dashboard is a dashboard for the ESPHome home management software.CVE-2026-59177 · Other software · esphome · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

ESPHome Device Builder Dashboard is a dashboard for the ESPHome home management software. Prior to 1.0.10, the `Home Assistant` add-on's trusted `ingress` site binds to `0.0.0.0` while intentionally skipping dashboard authentication because the supervisor is expected to authenticate requests upstream. Host networking, required for mDNS, also binds this no-auth site to the `Home Assistant` host's LAN interface. Any device on that local network can therefore connect directly to the `ingress` port, bypass the supervisor, and obtain the full dashboard without credentials or operator misconfiguration. Dashboard capability includes compile-time Python execution through `external_components:`, shell execution through compile and validation subprocesses, and arbitrary access to configuration and data files, compromising the mounted `Home Assistant` configuration and managed ESPHome devices. The standalone Docker dashboard and the password-gated public port 6052 are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.10.

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: clear rdev on device init failure rocket_probe() stores the return value froCVE-2026-99210 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: clear rdev on device init failure rocket_probe() stores the return value from rocket_device_init() in the file-scoped rdev pointer before checking whether it is an error pointer. If rocket_device_init() fails, rdev is left as an ERR_PTR. The rdev pointer is also used as the marker for whether the shared rocket device has already been initialized. A later core probe can therefore see a non-NULL rdev, skip rocket_device_init(), and dereference the error pointer when reading rdev->num_cores. Save the error code and clear rdev before returning from the rocket_device_init() failure path.

Psono Server CE && EE versions 0.1.0 through 7.2.3 accepted a user-controlled host when configuring a personal Duo device and passed it to the Duo client without an allowlist or explicit timeout. An authenticated remote attacker could cause the server to connect to selected hosts over HTTPS on port 443 and distinguish failure modes, providing an internal DNS and service-reachability oracle. Connections still required TLS certificate validation, and the flaw did not provide arbitrary protocol or port access. Unresponsive targets could also occupy a server worker until the operating-system timeout.

  • Oct 26, 2026boneIO black_debian_images ships with a Mosquitto MQTT broker that uses the same default credentials on all devices.CVE-2026-77056 · Other software · boneIO · reported by cvd@cert.plHigh 7.1

boneIO black_debian_images ships with a Mosquitto MQTT broker that uses the same default credentials on all devices. These credentials are publicly documented on github, and there is no indication in the instructions to change them. A remote attacker can use them to gain full read and write access to the broker, allowing control of connected relays, blinds, and gates, and injection of fake entities into a linked Home Assistant installation. This issue was fixed in version 1.6.0 of the image: MQTT passwords are generated per device at first boot. Devices upgraded from earlier versions keep their existing broker credentials; from boneio 1.6.0 the web panel reports credentials that are still the published defaults, and the owner has to change them.

  • Oct 23, 2026The Bluetooth HCI USB transport class of the new USB device stack, subsys/usb/device_next/class/bt_hci.c, copies every controller-to-host HCI packet into a USB CVE-2026-79982 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.8

The Bluetooth HCI USB transport class of the new USB device stack, subsys/usb/device_next/class/bt_hci.c, copies every controller-to-host HCI packet into a USB transfer buffer before enqueuing it on an endpoint. bt_hci_tx_sync_in() allocated that buffer from bt_hci_ep_pool, a fixed pool whose slots are only USBD_MAX_BULK_MPS bytes (64 on full-speed-only builds), and then performed net_buf_add_mem(buf, bt_buf->data, bt_buf->len) with no length check. HCI event and ACL buffers are sized by CONFIG_BT_BUF_EVT_RX_SIZE and CONFIG_BT_BUF_ACL_RX_SIZE and can be far larger, so the copy runs past the end of the 64-byte slot into the adjacent slots and into whatever follows the statically allocated pool. The device runs the local Bluetooth controller in raw HCI mode (CONFIG_BT_HCI_RAW), so the oversized packets originate over the air. With the HCI buffer sizes recommended for full-featured controllers, an unauthenticated attacker within Bluetooth range can supply the overflowing bytes: a connected peer that negotiates Data Length Extension can send ACL fragments up to CONFIG_BT_CTLR_DATA_LENGTH_MAX bytes, and an attacker that merely broadcasts extended advertising data reaches the same path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: ati_remote2 - fix type confusion in device attribute handlers Previously, the channel_mask and mode_mask attributes were registered on the parent usb_device via sysfs_create_group(). When commit b20d6bf8014b ("Input: ati-remote2 - use driver core to instantiate device attributes") converted the driver to let the driver core manage them via dev_groups in struct usb_driver, the attributes moved to the bound usb_interface devices, but the show and store callbacks were not updated accordingly. As a result, the callbacks still invoked to_usb_device() on a device pointer belonging to a struct usb_interface, producing an invalid usb_device pointer. Use to_usb_interface() directly in the attribute handlers to obtain the interface and its driver data.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: fix P2P device removal race in brcmf_detach() When the driver is removed while the user space process that created the P2P device (e.g. wpa_supplicant) is still exiting, the P2P device interface is removed twice and the kernel crashes. The two paths are: - wpa_supplicant, on exit, sends NL80211_CMD_DEL_INTERFACE for the P2P device. nl80211_del_interface() holds RTNL and the wiphy mutex and calls brcmf_p2p_del_vif(), which disables discovery and waits up to 1.5 s for BRCMF_E_IF_DEL. Then it calls brcmf_remove_interface(), which unregisters the wdev and frees the vif and the ifp. - brcmf_detach() sets the bus down, so BRCMF_E_IF_DEL never arrives, and calls brcmf_remove_interface(ifp, false) for the same ifp. brcmf_p2p_ifp_removed() reads ifp->vif and then blocks on rtnl_lock(). When brcmf_p2p_del_vif() releases RTNL, it calls cfg80211_unregister_wdev() on the wdev that was already unregistered and freed. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: optee: register TEE devices only once fully initialized optee_probe() called tee_device_register() on both the client and the supplicant device before the rest of struct optee had been initialized. tee_device_register() calls cdev_device_add(), which does two things at once: it creates /dev/tee0 and /dev/teepriv0, and it links the device into the tee class so that class_find_device() can find it. From that moment on the device is reachable both from user space via tee_open() and from kernel space via tee_client_open_context(). The only gate in teedev_open() is tee_device_get(), which merely checks that teedev->desc is non-NULL, which was already set by tee_device_alloc(). Therefore, there is effectively no gate at all. A context opened in that window can run against a struct optee where - optee->call_queue.mutex is not initialized by optee_cq_init() - optee->supp mutex and completions is not initialized by optee_supp_init() - optee->rpmb_dev_mutex is not initialized yet, - the message argument cache is not initialized by optee_shm_arg_cache_init() - optee->ctx is still NULL Any open session

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: ch: Do not keep references to data transfer element devices ch_readconfig() looks up the scsi_device of every data transfer element whose SCSI id the changer reports in READ ELEMENT STATUS, and stores it in ch->dt[]. scsi_device_lookup() takes a reference, and nothing ever drops it: ch_destroy() frees the array with kfree(). ch->dt[] is read nowhere else - it only supplies the vendor, model and revision printed in the same loop. Once such a drive is removed, its scsi_device can never be released. It stays on the host's device list at its address, so a new device there is refused by anything that walks the list - target_core_pscsi reports "scsi_device_get() failed for H:C:T:L" - and the low-level driver's module can no longer be unloaded. Only a reboot recovers. It shows with any changer that reports its drives' ids; with the mhvtl virtual library (IBM 3573-TL personality), each create and remove of a library with four drives leaves four references behind, counted by the module's use count in lsmod. With ch not bound the count is unchanged, and with this patch applied it is unchanged too. Drop the referen

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sock: Serialize dead-device detachment Rebinding an HCI socket after its controller is unregistered can race monitor control replay and crash the kernel. hci_sock_bind() clears hci_pi(sk)->hdev and drops the device reference under only the socket lock, whereas send_monitor_control_replay() holds hci_sk_list.lock for reading. Replay can observe a non-NULL hdev, then bind can clear it and drop the last reference before create_monitor_ctrl_open() reads hdev->id. This can cause a NULL pointer dereference if the pointer is reloaded, or a use-after-free if the old pointer is retained. The kernel reported: KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000068-0x000000000000006f] RIP: 0010:create_monitor_ctrl_open+0x579/0x800 Call Trace: hci_sock_bind+0xd96/0x1190 __sys_bind+0x166/0x200 __x64_sys_bind+0x6d/0xb0 do_syscall_64+0xdd/0x4a0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f The same missing serialization lets hci_send_to_sock() select a socket for the old device and queue its frame after bind has detached the socket or installed a new binding. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/imagination: Size page table preallocation by device address Commit 0a8224058a58 ("drm/imagination: Fix page count for page table for map() interface") passed the device address to pvr_mmu_op_context_create(), but the preallocation is still sized from device_addr + sgt_offset with an exclusive end. The offset into the object's pages has no place in a device-virtual range, and the exclusive end allocates one table too many when the range ends on a table boundary. Count the tables from device_addr and the inclusive end of the range. The new calculation does not take page table indices into account. This fixes another issue with the previous implementation, where the difference between start and end indices could underflow when a mapping crossed a page table boundary. This would lead to the driver preallocating a huge number of MMU pages, exhausting system memory and triggering an out of memory panic. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet: use the local P2P device on metadata allocation failure nvmet_req_alloc_p2pmem_sgls() assigns req->p2p_dev only after the data and metadata SGL allocations succeed. If the data allocation succeeds but the metadata allocation fails, out_free_sg passes req->p2p_dev to pci_p2pmem_free_sgl() before that assignment has taken place. Pass the local p2p_dev argument instead, so cleanup uses the same PCI device as the successful data allocation.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7915: disable rx napi when removing device Unloading the mt7915e module with a MT7916 triggers multiples WARN in __netif_napi_del_locked() and in page_pool_disable_direct_recycling() because the driver does not disable the napi before destroying it. This is troublesome since on MT7916 it is required to unload the module and reinsert it with a different enable_6ghz parameter to change the frequency. The system generally becomes unstable after reinserting the module. Fix it by disabling rx napi inside mt7915e itself, even through napi rx is enabled in the mt76 generic code. Disabling it in the mt76 generic code was previously attempted and reverted because napi was disabled too late and rx handlers could access freed structures. Note that the tx side is enabled and disabled by the mt76 generic code. It is disabled in mt7915_stop_hardware() since, unlike mt7915_unregister_device(), is it also called in the probe path if an error happens after rx napi is enabled.

Since the managed single and double bit IRQ handlers use altdev(dci->pvt_info) as their data, an IRQ firing between freeing dci and unregistering the IRQs could dereference the freed memory. Release the devres group first so the managed IRQs are unregistered before the dci structure is freed.

  • Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: macsec: initialize SecY before registering the netdevice Creating a MACsec device with MACCVE-2026-98929 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: macsec: initialize SecY before registering the netdevice Creating a MACsec device with MAC offload over an LRO-capable lower device triggers a warning in rtmsg_ifinfo_build_skb() when IPv4 forwarding is enabled by default. register_netdevice() invokes inetdev_init(), which disables LRO and emits a NETDEV_FEAT_CHANGE notification. This reaches macsec_fill_info() before macsec_add_dev() initializes the SecY. key_len is still zero, so macsec_fill_info() returns -EMSGSIZE and trips the WARN_ON in rtmsg_ifinfo_build_skb(), even though the skb has enough space. Even without the warning, notifications during registration can report uninitialized SecY attributes, including the SCI. This ordering has existed since the driver was introduced. Initialize the SecY and apply the new-link attributes before registration. Move MAC address inheritance into macsec_newlink() so the SCI can also be initialized before registration-time notifications report it. Move the per-CPU statistics and metadata destination allocation into ndo_init(), and release partial allocations on failure.

OCO-Server is a self-hosted endpoint management application for computer inventory, software deployment, and mobile device management. Prior to 1.2.3,the Apple MDM enrollment endpoint `frontend/api-mdm.php` verifies the signed enrollment-request plist with `openssl_pkcs7_verify(..., PKCS7_NOVERIFY, ...)`. `PKCS7_NOVERIFY` disables signer certificate chain and trust validation, so the signature only has to be self-consistent with whatever certificate is embedded in the PKCS#7 blob. A self-signed certificate from an unrelated attacker is accepted. Because the endpoint trusts the `SERIAL` field taken from the unverified payload, anyone who knows a registered device's serial number can sign a forged plist (`SERIAL` = victim device, attacker-chosen `UDID`) with an arbitrary self-signed certificate; POST it unauthenticated to `/api-mdm.php/profile` (Content-Type: `application/pkcs7-signature`); and receive the victim device's freshly minted MDM identity: a certificate with `CN=<serial>` issued by the server's internal MDM device CA, bundled with its private key in a PKCS#12 payload inside the returned `.mobileconfig` enrollment profile. Additionally, the victim's `mobile_device` database
