Oct 28, 2026MIME::Parser versions before 5.521 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via indented error messages from a truncated, deeply nested message.CVE-2026-116267 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e
MIME::Parser versions before 5.521 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via indented error messages from a truncated, deeply nested message. Each stored parser diagnostic is indented by three spaces per nesting level. When a message nested N levels deep ends without its closing boundaries, every level logs an error at its own depth, so the stored diagnostics grow with the square of N. The defaults place no limit on nesting depth.

Oct 21, 2026Uncontrolled recursion in the AMF parser in Apache bRPC < 1.18.0 allows a remote RTMP peer to crash a bRPC process by sending deeply nested AMF objects or arrayCVE-2026-54427 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.org
Uncontrolled recursion in the AMF parser in Apache bRPC < 1.18.0 allows a remote RTMP peer to crash a bRPC process by sending deeply nested AMF objects or arrays. The parser recursively processed nested AMF containers without enforcing a depth limit, which could exhaust the native stack. Affected Scenarios: Applications using bRPC RTMP support and parsing AMF data from an untrusted RTMP peer. This includes RTMP servers parsing client command messages, RTMP clients parsing server responses or status messages, and either side parsing inbound AMF script data such as metadata or cue points. Direct callers of ReadAMFObject or ReadAMFArray on untrusted input are also affected. How to Fix: 1. Upgrade Apache bRPC to 1.18.0. 2. Apply the patch from PR https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3344 . Note: The fix introduces a configurable AMF nesting depth limit with default value 128. AMF objects or arrays deeper than amf_max_depth are rejected after applying the fix.

Oct 6, 2026Uncontrolled Recursion (CWE-674) in Elasticsearch can lead to Denial of Service via a specially crafted, deeply nested request submitted to the aggregation featCVE-2026-103006 · Other software · Elastic · reported by security@elastic.coMedium 6.5
Uncontrolled Recursion (CWE-674) in Elasticsearch can lead to Denial of Service via a specially crafted, deeply nested request submitted to the aggregation feature of the search API. Elasticsearch contains an uncontrolled recursion weakness in its search aggregation processing. An authenticated user with read access to a single index can submit a specially crafted request containing deeply nested aggregation definitions. Processing this request triggers unbounded recursive execution that exhausts the server process's available resources, causing the affected node to terminate. The node does not recover automatically and requires manual intervention to restore service.

Sep 21, 2026temporalio/sqlparser accepts SQL containing deeply nested unary expressions and can return a correspondingly deep abstract syntax tree without enforcing an applCVE-2026-65651 · Other software · Temporal Technologies, Inc. · reported by security@temporal.ioHigh 8.7
temporalio/sqlparser accepts SQL containing deeply nested unary expressions and can return a correspondingly deep abstract syntax tree without enforcing an applicable nesting limit. The library's String and Walk operations recursively traverse that tree. An application that parses attacker-controlled SQL and later formats or walks the returned tree can encounter a runtime-fatal Go stack overflow that terminates the process; Go panic recovery cannot contain this condition. Temporal Server passes caller-controlled query input through the affected parser in archival, visibility, and worker-query paths. In affected validation paths, the Server recursively formats an invalid expression while constructing an error. In a supported authenticated deployment, a caller with namespace read permission can terminate the receiving Frontend or Matching process. The dynamically confirmed ListWorkers route additionally requires at least one retained worker heartbeat. Repeated requests can sustain a denial of service. The issue affects availability only; no confidentiality or integrity impact was identified.

Sep 16, 2026MDC is a tool to take regular Markdown and write documents interacting deeply with a Vue component.CVE-2026-63671 · Other software · nuxt-content · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1
MDC is a tool to take regular Markdown and write documents interacting deeply with a Vue component. Prior to 0.22.1, @nuxtjs/mdc uses parseMarkdown with allowDangerousHtml enabled by default and relies on validateProps, validateProp, and unsafeLinkPrefix to remove executable URLs from untrusted Markdown. validateProp checks only attributes named href or src, allowing an SVG xlink:href value represented as xLinkHref to retain a javascript: URL that executes in the page origin when selected. The data:text/html denylist entries are also compared against url.protocol, which is only data:, so an iframe src containing data:text/html survives sanitization and executes in an opaque origin when loaded. Plain href javascript: URLs, srcdoc, object, script, and base elements are already blocked, making these two paths specific sibling gaps in the sanitizer. This issue is fixed in version 0.22.1.

Courier IMAP before 6.0.1 and Courier Mail Server before 2.0.2 allow authenticated IMAP users to crash the imapd process via deeply nested parenthesized SEARCH queries. The SEARCH command parser (alloc_search_key in searchinfo.C) recursively descends on nested parenthesized groups through a mutual recursion chain with alloc_search_andlist() and alloc_search_notkey(), with no depth limit. Jun 30, 2026Net::BitTorrent versions through 2.1.0 for Perl allow remote memory exhaustion via deeply nested bencoded input.CVE-2026-57081 · Other software · SANKO · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5
Net::BitTorrent versions through 2.1.0 for Perl allow remote memory exhaustion via deeply nested bencoded input. bdecode recurses once per nested list or dictionary level with no depth cap, and each recursive call receives the remaining buffer by value while the list and dictionary branches capture the whole remainder, so every live recursion frame keeps its own copy of the shrinking buffer (O(N^2) bytes for an N-deep input). The decoder runs on every untrusted bencode source: .torrent files, BEP09 metadata fetched from peers, DHT messages, and tracker responses. A bencoded input of roughly 150,000 nested lists (about 150 KB on the wire) drives multi-gigabyte peak memory, so one short message from any peer, or one crafted .torrent file or magnet link, terminates the client.

Jun 29, 2026Uncontrolled Recursion vulnerability in leandrocp mdex allows denial of service via deeply nested Markdown input.CVE-2026-54888 · Other software · leandrocp · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 6.9
Uncontrolled Recursion vulnerability in leandrocp mdex allows denial of service via deeply nested Markdown input. mdex converts between an Elixir %MDEx.Document{} struct and Comrak's internal AST using two mutually recursive Rust functions, ex_document_to_comrak_ast and comrak_ast_to_ex_document, in the NIF source file document.rs. Neither function enforces a maximum nesting depth, so the recursion depth is bounded only by the structure of the input. An attacker who can get a Markdown document rendered (for example through MDEx.parse_document!/1 or MDEx.to_html/1) can supply a document with thousands of nested block quotes, which drives unbounded recursion across the NIF boundary and exhausts the native C stack. Because the resulting stack overflow is an uncatchable SIGSEGV raised inside a NIF, it cannot be contained by the Erlang runtime. It terminates the operating system process running the BEAM, killing every Elixir and Erlang process on the node, not just the caller that triggered the render. No authentication or special privileges are required. The vulnerable conversion code was extracted from mdex into the separate mdex_native package starting in mdex 0.12.3. This issue a

Impact: multer versions 1.0.0 through 2.1.1 and 3.0.0-alpha.1 are vulnerable to a Denial of Service via deeply nested field names in multipart form data. The append-field dependency parses bracket notation in field names with no limit on nesting depth, allowing an attacker to force allocation of deeply nested object structures that consume CPU and memory. A single HTTP request with a crafted multipart body is sufficient to exploit this. Patches: Users should upgrade to multer 2.2.0 (2.x line) or 3.0.0-alpha.2 (3.x prerelease) and configure the new limits.fieldNestingDepth option to the minimum depth their application requires. Workarounds: Set limits.fields to a reasonable value to reduce the number of fields an attacker can send per request. This does not fully mitigate the issue but limits the impact.

Feb 6, 2025MDC is a tool to take regular Markdown and write documents interacting deeply with a Vue component.CVE-2025-24981 · Other software · nuxt-modules · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
MDC is a tool to take regular Markdown and write documents interacting deeply with a Vue component. In affected versions unsafe parsing logic of the URL from markdown can lead to arbitrary JavaScript code due to a bypass to the existing guards around the `javascript:` protocol scheme in the URL. The parsing logic implement in `props.ts` maintains a deny-list approach to filtering potential malicious payload. It does so by matching protocol schemes like `javascript:` and others. These security guards can be bypassed by an adversarial that provides JavaScript URLs with HTML entities encoded via hex string. Users who consume this library and perform markdown parsing from unvalidated sources could result in rendering vulnerable XSS anchor links. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
