  • Aug 29, 2022A flaw was found in dpdk.CVE-2022-0669 · Other software · Dpdk · reported by Red HatMedium 6.5

A flaw was found in dpdk. This flaw allows a malicious vhost-user master to attach an unexpected number of fds as ancillary data to VHOST_USER_GET_INFLIGHT_FD / VHOST_USER_SET_INFLIGHT_FD messages that are not closed by the vhost-user slave. By sending such messages continuously, the vhost-user master exhausts available fd in the vhost-user slave process, leading to a denial of service.

  • Aug 23, 2022A flaw was found in the vhost library in DPDK.CVE-2021-3839 · Other software · Dpdk · reported by Red HatHigh 7.5

A flaw was found in the vhost library in DPDK. Function vhost_user_set_inflight_fd() does not validate `msg->payload.inflight.num_queues`, possibly causing out-of-bounds memory read/write. Any software using DPDK vhost library may crash as a result of this vulnerability.

  • Aug 4, 2022In BIG-IP Versions 16.1.x before 16.1.3.1 and 15.1.x before 15.1.6.1, and all versions of BIG-IQ 8.x, when the Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK)/Elastic NetworkCVE-2022-34844 · Network & remote access · F5 · reported by f5sirt@f5.comMedium 5.9

In BIG-IP Versions 16.1.x before 16.1.3.1 and 15.1.x before 15.1.6.1, and all versions of BIG-IQ 8.x, when the Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK)/Elastic Network Adapter (ENA) driver is used with BIG-IP or BIG-IQ on Amazon Web Services (AWS) systems, undisclosed traffic can cause the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) to terminate. Successful exploitation relies on conditions outside of the attacker's control. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

On BIG-IP versions 15.1.0.4 through 15.1.3, when the Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK)/Elastic Network Adapter (ENA) driver is used with BIG-IP on Amazon Web Services (AWS) systems, undisclosed requests can cause the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) to terminate. This is due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2020-5862. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

  • Sep 30, 2020A flaw was found in dpdk in versions before 18.11.10 and before 19.11.5.CVE-2020-14374 · Other software · Dpdk · reported by Red HatHigh 8.8

A flaw was found in dpdk in versions before 18.11.10 and before 19.11.5. A flawed bounds checking in the copy_data function leads to a buffer overflow allowing an attacker in a virtual machine to write arbitrary data to any address in the vhost_crypto application. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.

  • Sep 30, 2020An integer underflow in dpdk versions before 18.11.10 and before 19.11.5 in the `move_desc` function can lead to large amounts of CPU cycles being eaten up in aCVE-2020-14378 · Other software · Dpdk · reported by Red HatLow 3.3

An integer underflow in dpdk versions before 18.11.10 and before 19.11.5 in the `move_desc` function can lead to large amounts of CPU cycles being eaten up in a long running loop. An attacker could cause `move_desc` to get stuck in a 4,294,967,295-count iteration loop. Depending on how `vhost_crypto` is being used this could prevent other VMs or network tasks from being serviced by the busy DPDK lcore for an extended period.

  • Sep 30, 2020A flaw was found in dpdk in versions before 18.11.10 and before 19.11.5.CVE-2020-14377 · Other software · Dpdk · reported by Red HatHigh 7.1

A flaw was found in dpdk in versions before 18.11.10 and before 19.11.5. A complete lack of validation of attacker-controlled parameters can lead to a buffer over read. The results of the over read are then written back to the guest virtual machine memory. This vulnerability can be used by an attacker in a virtual machine to read significant amounts of host memory. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and system availability.

A flaw was found in dpdk in versions before 18.11.10 and before 19.11.5. Virtio ring descriptors, and the data they describe are in a region of memory accessible by from both the virtual machine and the host. An attacker in a VM can change the contents of the memory after vhost_crypto has validated it. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
