  • Feb 5, 2026Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite based on LibreOffice technology.CVE-2026-23623 · Other software · CollaboraOnline · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite based on LibreOffice technology. Prior to Collabora Online Development Edition version 25.04.08.2 and prior to Collabora Online versions 23.05.20.1, 24.04.17.3, and 25.04.7.5, a user with view-only rights and no download privileges can obtain a local copy of a shared file. Although there are no corresponding buttons in the interface, pressing Ctrl+Shift+S initiates the file download process. This allows the user to bypass the access restrictions and leads to unauthorized data retrieval. This issue has been patched in Collabora Online Development Edition version 25.04.08.2 and Collabora Online versions 23.05.20.1, 24.04.17.3, and 25.04.7.5.

  • Apr 15, 2025Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite based on LibreOffice technology.CVE-2025-27791 · Other software · CollaboraOnline · reported by GitHubHigh 8.3

Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite based on LibreOffice technology. In versions prior to 24.04.12.4, 23.05.19, and 22.05.25, there is a path traversal flaw in handling the CheckFileInfo BaseFileName field returned from WOPI servers. This allows for a file to be written anywhere the uid running Collabora Online can write, if such a response was supplied by a malicious WOPI server. By combining this flaw with a Time of Check, Time of Use DNS lookup issue with a WOPI server address under attacker control, it is possible to present such a response to be processed by a Collabora Online instance. This issue has been patched in versions 24.04.13.1, 23.05.19, and 22.05.25.

  • Mar 6, 2025Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite based on LibreOffice.CVE-2025-24796 · Other software · CollaboraOnline · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3

Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite based on LibreOffice. Macro support is disabled by default in Collabora Online, but can be enabled by an administrator. Collabora Online typically hosts each document instance within a jail and is allowed to download content from locations controlled by the net.lok_allow configuration option, which by default include the private IP ranges to enable access to the local network. If enabled, macros were allowed run executable binaries. By combining an ability to host executables, typically in the local network, in an allowed accessible location, with a macro enabled Collabora Online, it was then possible to install arbitrary binaries within the jail and execute them. These executables are restricted to the same jail file system and user as the document instance but can be used to bypass the additional limits on what network hosts are accessible and provide more flexibility as a platform for further attempts. This is issue is fixed in 24.04.12.4, 23.05.19, 22.05.25 and later macros.

Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite based on LibreOffice technology. In the mobile (Android/iOS) device variants of Collabora Online it was possible to inject JavaScript via url encoded values in links contained in documents. Since the Android JavaScript interface allows access to internal functions, the likelihood that the app could be compromised via this vulnerability is considered high. Non-mobile variants are not affected. Mobile variants should update to the latest version provided by the platform appstore. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

  • Mar 11, 2024Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite based on LibreOffice technology.CVE-2024-25114 · Other software · CollaboraOnline · reported by GitHubLow 2.6

Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite based on LibreOffice technology. Each document in Collabora Online is opened by a separate "Kit" instance in a different "jail" with a unique directory "jailID" name. For security reasons, this directory name is randomly generated and should not be given out to the client. In affected versions of Collabora Online it is possible to use the CELL() function, with the "filename" argument, in the spreadsheet component to get a path which includes this JailID. The impact of this vulnerability in its own is low because it requires to be chained with another vulnerability. Users should upgrade to Collabora Online 23.05.9; Collabora Online 22.05.22; Collabora Online 21.11.10 or higher. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

  • Dec 8, 2023Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite based on LibreOffice technology.CVE-2023-49788 · Other software · CollaboraOnline · reported by GitHubHigh 7.2

Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite based on LibreOffice technology. Unlike a standalone dedicated Collabora Online server, the Built-in CODE Server (richdocumentscode) is run without chroot sandboxing. Vulnerable versions of the richdocumentscode app can be susceptible to attack via modified client->server commands to overwrite files outside the sub directory the server has provided for the transient session. Files which can be accessed are limited to those that the server process has access to. The bug was fixed in Collabora Online - Built-in CODE Server (richdocumentscode) release 23.5.602. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

  • Nov 9, 2023application-collabora is an integration of Collabora Online in XWiki.CVE-2023-46743 · Other software · xwikisas · reported by GitHubHigh 7.3

application-collabora is an integration of Collabora Online in XWiki. As part of the application use cases, depending on the rights that a user has over a document, they should be able to open the office attachments files in view or edit mode. Currently, if a user opens an attachment file in edit mode in collabora, this right will be preserved for all future users, until the editing session is closes, even if some of them have only view right. Collabora server is the one issuing this request and it seems that the `userCanWrite` query parameter is cached, even if, for example, token is not. This issue has been patched in version 1.3.

  • May 31, 2023Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite.CVE-2023-34088 · Other software · CollaboraOnline · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite. A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability was found in Collabora Online prior to versions 22.05.13, 21.11.9.1, and 6.4.27. An attacker could create a document with an XSS payload as a document name. Later, if an administrator opened the admin console and navigated to the history page, the document name was injected as unescaped HTML and executed as a script inside the context of the admin console. The administrator JSON web token (JWT) used for the websocket connection could be leaked through this flaw. Users should upgrade to Collabora Online 22.05.13 or higher; Collabora Online 21.11.9.1 or higher; Collabora Online 6.4.27 or higher to receive a patch.

Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite based on LibreOffice technology. This vulnerability report describes a reflected XSS vulnerability with full CSP bypass in Nextcloud installations using the recommended bundle. The vulnerability can be exploited to perform a trivial account takeover attack. The vulnerability allows attackers to inject malicious code into web pages, which can be executed in the context of the victim's browser session. This means that an attacker can steal sensitive data, such as login credentials or personal information, or perform unauthorized actions on behalf of the victim, such as modifying or deleting data. In this specific case, the vulnerability allows for a trivial account takeover attack. An attacker can exploit the vulnerability to inject code into the victim's browser session, allowing the attacker to take over the victim's account without their knowledge or consent. This can lead to unauthorized access to sensitive information and data, as well as the ability to perform actions on behalf of the victim. Furthermore, the fact that the vulnerability bypasses the Content Security Policy (CSP) makes it more dangerous, as CSP is an import

  • Mar 31, 2023Nextcloud richdocuments is a Nextcloud app integrating the office suit Collabora Online.CVE-2023-28645 · Other software · nextcloud · reported by GitHubMedium 5.7

Nextcloud richdocuments is a Nextcloud app integrating the office suit Collabora Online. In affected versions the secure view feature of the rich documents app can be bypassed by using unprotected internal API endpoint of the rich documents app. It is recommended that the Nextcloud Office app (richdocuments) is upgraded to 8.0.0-beta.1, 7.0.2 or 6.3.2. Users unable to upgrade may mitigate the issue by taking steps to restrict the ability to download documents. This includes ensuring that the `WOPI configuration` is configured to only serve documents between Nextcloud and Collabora. It is highly recommended to define the list of Collabora server IPs as the allow list within the Office admin settings of Nextcloud.

  • Jul 21, 2021Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite.CVE-2021-32744 · Other software · CollaboraOnline · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

Collabora Online is a collaborative online office suite. In versions prior to 4.2.17-1 and version 6.4.9-5, unauthenticated attackers are able to gain access to files which are currently opened by other users in the Collabora Online editor. For successful exploitation the attacker is required to guess the file identifier - the predictability of this file identifier is dependent on external file-storage implementations (this is a potential "IDOR" - Insecure Direct Object Reference - vulnerability). Versions 4.2.17-1 and 6.4.9-5 contain patches for this issue. There is no known workaround except updating the Collabora Online application to one of the patched releases.

"loolforkit" is a privileged program that is supposed to be run by a special, non-privileged "lool" user. Before doing anything else "loolforkit" checks, if it was invoked by the "lool" user, and refuses to run with privileges, if it's not the case. In the vulnerable version of "loolforkit" this check was wrong, so a normal user could start "loolforkit" and eventually get local root privileges.
