Oct 28, 2026Apache Kafka's code-generated readers for flexible protocol versions read a tagged-field count declared by the sender and retain a RawTaggedField object for eacCVE-2026-111115 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.org
Apache Kafka's code-generated readers for flexible protocol versions read a tagged-field count declared by the sender and retain a RawTaggedField object for each unknown field. That count was bounded only by the outer request frame size (socket.request.max.bytes); it was not checked against the remaining buffer bytes or capped. Because each entry can be encoded in as little as two bytes (unknown tag 0, size 0), a modest request can declare tens of millions of tagged fields and force one object allocation per declared field. Flexible request headers (header version 2, used by flexible APIs such as ApiVersions v3) are parsed this way, so the amplification applies to the request header itself. Impact: The flexible request header is parsed on the network thread before authorization, request dispatch, and request-time quota accounting. A client can send a request of a few tens of megabytes whose header declares about 20 million tagged fields, forcing roughly that many RawTaggedField allocations and exhausting broker heap or inducing process-wide GC stalls, denying broker service. Because the header is parsed for pre-authentication APIs such as ApiVersions (v3), the allocation can occu

Oct 28, 2026Apache Kafka's code-generated protocol readers pre-size an array's collection from the element count declared by the sender.CVE-2026-111108 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.org
Apache Kafka's code-generated protocol readers pre-size an array's collection from the element count declared by the sender. That count is checked only against the bytes remaining in the request buffer, which assumes about one byte per element; because most elements need several bytes, a request can declare far more elements than the buffer holds and still pass. For a keyed array the reader then allocates an ImplicitLinkedHashCollection of capacity (2 * count +1), so a request of a few tens of megabytes can force a heap allocation several times larger before any element is read. The pattern is emitted into every generated reader, so it affects all Kafka API types with an array field. Impact: Request parsing happens before any authorization check. On a listener that does not require authentication (for example PLAINTEXT), an unauthenticated attacker can send a few concurrent requests that each declare a very large= array length and allocate many times their wire size in broker heap, crashing the broker with an OutOfMemoryError. The reporter demonstrated three concurrent ~90 MB ProduceRequest (v3) connections exhausting a 1 GB heap (~8x amplification). On listeners that require

Oct 8, 2026datamodel-code-generator generates Python data models from schema definitions.CVE-2026-107377 · Other software · datamodel-code-generator · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
datamodel-code-generator generates Python data models from schema definitions. From 0.59.0 until 0.81.0, an attacker-controlled Protobuf schema can supply absolute or parent-directory paths captured by WEAK_IMPORT_PATTERN and consumed by _write_missing_weak_imports in src/datamodel_code_generator/parser/protobuf.py. Exploitation requires a victim or automated job to process the attacker-controlled schema with Protobuf input support, which requires the grpcio-tools package. The paths escape the weak_imports temporary directory before protoc runs, allowing creation of directory trees and new files or overwrite of existing writable files with a generated Protobuf syntax declaration. The effect persists when later Protobuf compilation fails. The written content is limited to a proto2 or proto3 syntax declaration, and direct arbitrary code execution has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 0.81.0.

Jul 28, 2026datamodel-code-generator generates Pydantic v2 models, dataclasses, TypedDict, and msgspec.Struct from OpenAPI, JSON Schema, GraphQL, Avro, Protobuf, and raw JSCVE-2026-55415 · Other software · koxudaxi · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
datamodel-code-generator generates Pydantic v2 models, dataclasses, TypedDict, and msgspec.Struct from OpenAPI, JSON Schema, GraphQL, Avro, Protobuf, and raw JSON, YAML, or CSV. From 0.11.6 until 0.64.0, datamodel-code-generator allows attacker-controlled x-python-import or customTypePath schema extensions to reach src/datamodel_code_generator/parser/jsonschema.py and generated import handling through Import.from_full_path and Imports.create_line in src/datamodel_code_generator/imports.py, allowing a newline to break out of an import statement and execute Python code when the generated model is imported. This issue is fixed in version 0.64.0.

datamodel-code-generator generates Python data models from schema definitions. Prior to 0.63.0, src/datamodel_code_generator/http.py get_body reuses Authorization, Cookie, and Proxy-Authorization headers when following cross-origin redirects while fetching remote schemas, allowing credentials scoped to one schema host to be leaked to another redirect target. This issue is fixed in version 0.63.0.

datamodel-code-generator generates Pydantic v2 models, dataclasses, TypedDict, and msgspec.Struct from OpenAPI, JSON Schema, GraphQL, Avro, Protobuf, and raw JSON, YAML, or CSV. Prior to 0.63.0, datamodel-code-generator validates a URL host once in src/datamodel_code_generator/http.py through get_body, _validate_url_for_fetch, and _get_ips_from_host, but then lets httpx resolve the host again for the connection, allowing DNS rebinding to bypass allow_private_network=False and reach internal services. This issue is fixed in version 0.63.0.

datamodel-code-generator generates Python data models from schema definitions. From 0.59.0 until 0.62.0, XML Schema parsing in src/datamodel_code_generator/parser/xmlschema.py for --input-file-type xmlschema resolves xs:include, xs:import, xs:redefine, and xs:override schemaLocation values outside the input base path, allowing arbitrary local files to be read and reflected into generated models. datamodel-code-generator generates Pydantic v2 models, dataclasses, TypedDict, and msgspec.Struct from OpenAPI, JSON Schema, GraphQL, Avro, Protobuf, and raw JSON, YAML, or CSV. datamodel-code-generator generates Python data models from schema definitions. From 0.9.1 until 0.61.0, src/datamodel_code_generator/http.py http.get_body accepts --url targets and redirect chain targets without host/IP validation, allowing server-side request forgery against loopback, private, link-local, metadata, and other network-accessible resources. datamodel-code-generator prior to version 0.70.0 contains a code injection vulnerability that allows attackers who control input schemas to achieve remote code execution by supplying a malicious customBasePath value containing embedded newlines and a dot-free Python expression. In versions before 20.0.2, it was found that --disallow-code-generation-from-strings is not sufficient for isolating untrusted JavaScript in happy-dom. The untrusted script and the rest of the application still run in the same Isolate/process, so attackers can deploy prototype pollution payloads to hijack important references like "process" in the example below, or to hijack control flow via flipping checks of undefined property. This vulnerability is due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2025-61927. The vulnerability is fixed in 20.0.2.
