Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: psp: do not inherit the Rx association on clone sk->psp_assoc sits past sk_dontcopy_eCVE-2026-99116 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: psp: do not inherit the Rx association on clone sk->psp_assoc sits past sk_dontcopy_end, so sock_copy() copies it into every socket accepted from a listener without taking a reference, while inet_sock_destruct() puts for every inet socket. psp_twsk_init() does refcount_inc() for the timewait socket, so a child closing through TIME_WAIT cancels its own put and leaves the association with one reference and N timewait sockets holding the same pointer. Closing the listener frees it, and the timewait timers then put freed memory. Rejecting the association on a listening socket is not sufficient: a socket can acquire one while established and then be turned back into a listener, because tcp_disconnect() leaves sk->psp_assoc in place. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: namespace: don't inherit MNT_UMOUNT in clone_mnt() MNT_UMOUNT gets raised on a mount that umount_tree() or umount_one() has taken out of its namespace. It's never cleared. __detach_mounts() unhooks a mount that carries it instead of unmounting it. disconnect_mount() lets an unmounted child stay attached only if its parent carries it. propagate_umount() takes it as the sign that a mount is going to be unmounted when it decides what else can be unmounted, where a chain of locked mounts ends and where a for reparenting an overmount. clone_mnt() copies the flags of the source and only masks MNT_INTERNAL_FLAGS which doesn't include MNT_UMOUNT. A mount that was lazily unmounted but is kept alive by a file descriptor can still be copied when its root is an nsfs or pidfs file because may_copy_tree() accepts those before checking whether the source is mounted at all: mount --bind /proc/self/ns/net /tmp/x exec 3< /tmp/x umount -l /tmp/x mount --bind /proc/self/fd/3 /tmp/y The mount on /tmp/y is attached to the caller's namespace with MNT_UMOUNT already set and every copy of it inherits the flag again. Oct 19, 2026Cpanel::JSON::XS versions before 4.80 for Perl use the parent interpreter's scalars from a parser object cloned into a new ithread.CVE-2026-110681 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 8.1
Cpanel::JSON::XS versions before 4.80 for Perl use the parent interpreter's scalars from a parser object cloned into a new ithread. A parser object holds its callbacks and its incremental parse buffer as raw scalar pointers. When a thread is created, these are copied into the new interpreter unchanged, so the child's parser uses, and later frees, scalars that belong to the parent and may already have been freed there. A parser created before a thread starts and used inside it can call freed callbacks, corrupt reference counts and crash the process.

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: discard post-EOF pagecache when extending a file via clone range cifs_remap_fCVE-2026-98685 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: discard post-EOF pagecache when extending a file via clone range cifs_remap_file_range() discarded the pagecache only for the folios overlapping the destination region, so when a clone extends the file the folio straddling the old EOF - which may hold data dirtied past EOF through an mmap - was never dropped and became visible as file content once the file was extended. Start the discard at the smaller of fstart and the old EOF. i_size is still old here, so nothing past the old EOF is flushed to the server.

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: drain and invalidate before server-side copy/clone cifs_file_copychunk_range(CVE-2026-98682 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: drain and invalidate before server-side copy/clone cifs_file_copychunk_range() and the clone (FICLONE) path of cifs_remap_file_range() do not serialise the destination page cache against the server-side copy the way the other server-side range operations (smb3_zero_range(), smb3_punch_hole(), smb3_collapse_range() and smb3_insert_range()) do. cifs_file_copychunk_range() invalidates the destination range with filemap_invalidate_inode(), which takes and drops the mapping's invalidate_lock internally, so the lock is no longer held when the copychunk ioctl is issued. It also never drains in-flight netfs I/O on the target. The clone path never takes the invalidate_lock at all (only i_rwsem), uses a bare truncate_inode_pages_range() and likewise does not drain outstanding I/O. As a result an asynchronous destination writeback can complete after the server-side copy/clone has run and reinstate stale data over the region just written by the server, corrupting the file. This is the same class of corruption as commit d7d2adcd022b ("smb/client: flush dirty data before punching a hole") and has been seen ra

Oct 16, 2026Backuply – Backup, Restore, Migrate and Clone: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-93953 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8
The Backuply – Backup, Restore, Migrate and Clone plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the Biographical Info field (second-order, via restore) in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.8 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and the lack of sufficient preparation on an existing SQL query. Backuply exports the Biographical Info value verbatim inside an INSERT statement written to the backup's SQL dump (wp_usermeta). When an Administrator later restores such a backup, the crafted payload breaks out of that INSERT statement and appends attacker-controlled SQL that executes with full database privileges. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to write arbitrary data to the database — in particular to update the default_role option in wp_options to administrator (and enable open user registration) — so that a subsequently registered account is automatically granted the Administrator role, resulting in privilege escalation and full site takeover. Because the injection executes inside an INSERT during restore with no response returned to the attacker, the primitive is used to modify database reco

Oct 13, 2026RClone Manager is a cross-platform GUI application designed to help users manage Rclone remotes efficiently.CVE-2026-55183 · Other software · Zarestia-Dev · reported by GitHubCritical 9.6
RClone Manager is a cross-platform GUI application designed to help users manage Rclone remotes efficiently. Prior to 0.2.7, RClone Manager starts the local rclone rcd service on 127.0.0.1:51900 with --rc-no-auth, --rc-allow-origin *, and --rc-serve. A malicious web page opened by a user while the daemon is running can therefore send cross-origin requests to the unauthenticated local API with the user's operating-system privileges. The requests can disclose configured storage credentials and potentially access, upload, modify, or exfiltrate locally stored files accessible to the user and files available through configured remotes; the advisory's possible command-execution impact remains unconfirmed. This issue is fixed in version 0.2.7.

Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: Don't call skb_clone_and_charge_r() for close()d listener in tcp_v6_do_rcv().CVE-2026-98300 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: Don't call skb_clone_and_charge_r() for close()d listener in tcp_v6_do_rcv(). tcp_v6_do_rcv() no longer calls skb_clone_and_charge_r() for TCP_LISTEN since commit 073d89808c06 ("net: fix data-races around sk->sk_forward_alloc"). However, there is still a small race window between tcp_v6_rcv() and tcp_v6_do_rcv(), where concurrent close() changes TCP_LISTEN to TCP_CLOSE, causing skb_clone_and_charge_r() to be called locklessly and resulting in the splat below. [0] Let's avoid calling skb_clone_and_charge_r() for TCP_CLOSE as well. This is fine for non-listeners because tcp_rcv_state_process() drops skb for TCP_CLOSE and opt_skb was freed immediately anyway. Sep 27, 2026MatchTrustedPeer ignores the public key used, leading to forged CA clones passing verification.CVE-2026-93302 · Other software · wolfSSL · reported by facts@wolfssl.comHigh 8.3
MatchTrustedPeer ignores the public key used, leading to forged CA clones passing verification. Affected builds are any that enable the macro WOLFSSL_TRUST_PEER_CERT and load CA certificates with wolfSSL_CTX_trust_peer_cert() or wolfSSL_trust_peer_cert(). The peer must know the certificates being loaded to either of those APIs to take advantage of the issue. When OPENSSL_COMPATIBLE_DEFAULTS is also defined this widens the affected API to include all CA certificate loading. Both macros are defined when using autoconf builds such as (nginx, haproxy, stunnel, wpas, apache httpd, hitch, bind, rsyslog, ffmpeg, all, distro). When the certificate is listed as a trusted peer certificate the issue previously allowed for a malicious (D)TLS server to bypass authentication once knowing which CA’s the client would accept. This also affects mutual authentication cases where the client knows which CA’s the server has loaded. If building with any of these configurations and using (D)TLS where the loaded CA’s could be known and authentication of the peer is desired, users should either: update to the latest wolfSSL version, apply the fix patch, or use the configure flag --disable-openssl-compatible

Sep 19, 2026rclone versions 1.56.0 through 1.75.0 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the `rclone serve docker` volume plugin.CVE-2026-93987 · Other software · rclone · reported by VulnCheckMedium 4.6
rclone versions 1.56.0 through 1.75.0 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the `rclone serve docker` volume plugin. newVolume() in cmd/serve/docker/volume.go computes a volume's mountpoint as filepath.Join(drv.root, name) from the attacker-supplied `name` field of a Docker VolumeDriver.Create request without verifying that the result stays within drv.root (default /var/lib/docker-volumes/rclone), and checkMountpoint() then creates that directory with file.MkdirAll before mounting. A volume name containing enough `..` components (e.g. "../../../../../../etc") therefore resolves outside the base directory, allowing anyone able to submit a VolumeDriver.Create request to the plugin socket — normally the Docker daemon, or a workload that can request named volumes in a multi-tenant orchestration setup — to make the privileged rclone plugin process create a directory and mount a remote filesystem specified in the same request at an arbitrary host path, shadowing or disrupting system directories. The advisory notes Volume.restoreState() had the same missing validation when reloading persisted volume state. Fixed in 1.75.1.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ip6mr: do not clone dst in ip6mr_cache_report() IPv6 input attaches a non-refcounted (NORECVE-2026-90111 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ip6mr: do not clone dst in ip6mr_cache_report() IPv6 input attaches a non-refcounted (NOREF) dst to skbs under RCU. When an ingress multicast packet misses MFC lookup, ip6mr_cache_unresolved() places the skb onto the unresolved queue, escaping the receive-side RCU grace period. If the underlying route is deleted and freed, and the MFC queue is later resolved with a wrong parent interface, ip6_mr_forward() invokes ip6mr_cache_report(..., MRT6MSG_WRONGMIF), which executes dst_clone(skb_dst(pkt)) on the freed dst entry, triggering a slab use-after-free. Report packets queued to mroute6_sk (a raw socket) and netlink notifications do not require an attached dst entry. Fix this by: 1. Removing dst_clone() in ip6mr_cache_report() and ensuring report skbs do not hold a dst. 2. Dropping skb_dst before queuing unresolved skbs in ip6mr_cache_unresolved(), matching the fact that multicast forwarding resolves outgoing routes anew via ip6_route_output().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: skip double clone set expressions on element insert Both the dynset and newsetelem path clone the existing set expressions when setting set element expressions if no override expressions are provided. This results in a double clone, once to clone the template set expressions then another clone on the new element. Add a flag to annotate if userspace provides a override expression (ie. expression of the same type of the set but different configuration), otherwise borrow the existing expression from the set. Add conditionals to release expression iif they represent an override. Use this new override_exprs flag to dump the dynset expression override to userspace. This simplifies the existing logic and it also fixes a bug with the connlimit expression which results in a module refcount imbalance WARNING splat when resorting on the default set expressions.

@cyclonedx/cyclonedx-npm creates CycloneDX Software Bill of Materials from npm projects. Prior to version 6.0.0, the Windows fallback path in src/npmRunner.ts, used when npm_execpath does not provide the npm CLI path, can construct a shell command containing an untrusted value from the --workspace option. When an attacker can influence that option and the fallback npm execution path is reached, shell metacharacters in the workspace value can execute arbitrary operating-system commands with the privileges of the user running the CLI, allowing data access, file modification, or service disruption. Sep 16, 2026In AVideo through 29.0, the CloneSite plugin is vulnerable to stored OS command injection.CVE-2026-92580 · Other software · WWBN · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7
In AVideo through 29.0, the CloneSite plugin is vulnerable to stored OS command injection. In plugin/CloneSite/cloneClient.json.php (line ~270) the stored SSH password is substituted into the command string `sshpass -p '{password}' rsync ...` with a plain str_replace and no escaping, so a single quote in the password breaks out of the quoted word and injects arbitrary shell. The password is written through the admin-only endpoint objects/pluginAddDataObject.json.php, whose only CSRF defense (isUntrustedRequest()/forbidIfIsUntrustedRequest()) is a no-op when the request source appears to be loopback — as happens behind a same-host TLS-terminating reverse proxy with $global['trustedProxies'] unset — or when an attacker-controlled application is co-hosted on the same hostname; on HTTPS the session cookie is issued with SameSite=None, so a cross-site POST carries it. An unauthenticated remote attacker can therefore lure an authenticated administrator into planting a malicious password (and an attacker-controlled cloneSiteURL), after which the plugin's documented crontab entry executes the injected command with no further administrator action, as the crontab owner (commonly root or www-

The existing off >= i_size check fires only after the ioctl has already been sent. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-io: clone the source bio instead of copying its biovec For DM_IO_BIO requests, do_region() built each destination bio by walking the source bio's biovec and re-adding the pages one at a time, tracking the remaining transfer in sectors. The vector lengths are byte granular and need not be sector aligned (e.g. a misaligned O_DIRECT buffer split across pages), so the sector-based accounting could lose a sub-sector fragment: to_sector() truncated the remainder and the outer loop spun forever submitting empty bios, hanging the I/O. There is no need to rebuild the biovec at all. The destination reads into (or writes from) exactly the same pages as the source bio, so the bio can simply clone the source's biovec with bio_alloc_clone() and remap it to the target device. The clone inherits the source's iterator and alignment, and the block layer splits it to the target's limits on submission, so the whole region maps to a single cloned bio with no manual page copying or sector accounting. This removes the per-page copy path (and its open-coded bvec dpages helpers) for bio-backed I/O and fixes the hang on misaligned di

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xdp: fix zero-copy frame layout xdp_convert_zc_to_xdp_frame() clones an XSK packet into an order-0 page and advertises PAGE_SIZE as its frame size. It allows the copied frame to occupy the page tail needed by skb_shared_info and records zero headroom even when metadata separates the frame header from packet data. An AF_XDP zero-copy packet redirected through cpumap can therefore make the skb overlap skb_shared_info or place it beyond the allocated page. Limit the copied layout to SKB_WITH_OVERHEAD(PAGE_SIZE) and include the metadata length in frame headroom. Redirect callers already handle a NULL conversion result. rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers. Prior to 1.75.1, rclone core does not reject parent-directory segments in source Object.Remote() values before fs/list, fs/walk, fs/sync, and fs/operations pass those values to destination backends. A flat-keyspace source object store populated with native non-rclone tooling can contain a raw .. key segment, and affected b2, swift, qingstor, oracleobjectstorage, internetarchive, smb, storj, sftp, webdav, ftp, filelu, shade, and sia destinations use path.Join(root, remote) before EncodeDot can neutralize the segment. A copy or upload can therefore escape the configured root into another bucket, share, or path reachable by the victim credential, with sftp and smb potentially reaching other filesystem or share locations under the same login authority. This issue is fixed in version 1.75.1.

Sep 10, 2026rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers.CVE-2026-88045 · Other software · rclone · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers. From 1.75.0 until 1.75.1, the serve S3 streamed multipart path in cmd/serve/s3/multipart.go passes attacker-controlled contentLength to multipart.NewRW().Reserve before reading request-body bytes. waitForTurn admits the current part and one oversized part when the buffer is empty despite --multipart-streaming-buffer-limit, and lib/pool allocates 1 MiB pages according to Content-Length or X-Amz-Decoded-Content-Length. A network client can retain or multiply these reservations without sending the declared body, exhausting process or host memory or permanently blocking request handlers. Anonymous S3 deployments require no credentials, while deployments using auth_key require an accepted S3 key. This issue is fixed in version 1.75.1.

rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers. From 1.70.0 until 1.75.1, the serve/start RC interface accepts per-server proxyOpt.AuthProxy settings, and the FTP and S3 constructors in cmd/serve/ftp/ftp.go and cmd/serve/s3/server.go incorrectly check the process-global proxy.Opt.AuthProxy value instead. When the global value is empty, the request-local authentication proxy is ignored: FTP falls back to the fixed filesystem with username anonymous and any password, while S3 with AuthKey serves the fixed RC fs rather than the backend selected by the proxy. The dedicated command-line servers that configure the global option are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.75.1.

Sep 10, 2026rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers.CVE-2026-88018 · Other software · rclone · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8
rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers. Prior to 1.75.1, rclone serve s3 configured with --auth-proxy but without --auth-key allows authPairMiddleware to register any client-chosen accessKeyID with an empty ws.s3Secret. gofakes3 then verifies the request’s SigV4 signature against that same empty secret, while Server.auth passes the access key identifier as both the user and authentication value to the proxy without an independent per-identity secret. An unauthenticated network attacker can therefore choose an arbitrary access key, sign with an empty secret, and reach whatever backend the auth-proxy script resolves for that identity. Sep 10, 2026rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers.CVE-2026-88017 · Other software · rclone · reported by GitHubHigh 7.3
rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers. From 1.64.0 until 1.75.1, the FTP auth-proxy driver in cmd/serve/ftp/ftp.go stores one obscured password per username in the server-wide userPass map[string]string instead of binding the credential or VFS to the authenticated session. If two accepted credentials use the same username but resolve to different proxy backends, a later CheckPasswd login overwrites userPass[user], and subsequent getVFS operations on the first session are reauthorized with the later password. The first session can then read, create, overwrite, rename, or delete objects using the second credential’s backend authority. Exploitation requires the later same-username login to occur while the first session remains open. This issue is fixed in version 1.75.1.

Sep 10, 2026rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers.CVE-2026-88016 · Other software · rclone · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1
rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers. Prior to 1.75.1, when backend/local runs with --links, a source .rclonelink object can plant a symlink in the destination and later directory metadata is applied through that path. MkdirMetadata, writeMetadataToFile, and setTimes operate when Directory.translatedLink=false, so os.Chown, os.Chmod, os.Chtimes, and birth-time handling can bypass os.Root confinement and follow the symlink. An attacker controlling source contents can therefore apply selected ownership, permissions, modification times, or birth times to a file or directory outside the destination, with --metadata required for chmod and chown while modification time is applied by the normal directory workflow. This issue is fixed in version 1.75.1.

rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers. Prior to 1.75.1, backend/local with --links or links=true exposes symlink targets as .rclonelink objects, and fs.RangeOption.Decode can pass an unchecked positive Range start through Object.Open and openTranslatedLink. The function slices the target string as linkdst[offset:], so a Range start larger than the target length causes a deterministic slice-bounds panic when lib/http/serve exposes the object through HTTP or WebDAV. rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers. From 1.72.0 until 1.75.1, the archive ZIP backend method (*Fs).readZip in backend/archive/zip/zip.go accepts archive/zip.File.Name values from an untrusted central directory and exposes cleaned entry names without ensuring that they remain inside the archive namespace. Sep 4, 2026undici's BalancedPool constructor passes its entire options object through an internal deep-clone that serializes and reparses the value as JSON.CVE-2026-84961 · Other software · undici · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbHigh 7.4
undici's BalancedPool constructor passes its entire options object through an internal deep-clone that serializes and reparses the value as JSON. Because JSON cannot represent functions, any function-valued TLS option, such as a caller-supplied checkServerIdentity callback or a custom connector inside the connect option, is silently discarded before it reaches the TLS layer. As a result a peer whose certificate the application's custom checkServerIdentity was written to reject, but which still passes Node's default hostname and chain checks, is accepted when reached through BalancedPool. The Client, Pool, and Agent dispatchers are not affected because they extract the connect and tls options before cloning. This affects undici versions from 7.24.1 up to 7.29.1 and from 8.0.0 up to 8.10.2, and only when the application supplies a function-valued connect or tls option to BalancedPool. Users should upgrade to undici 7.29.1 or 8.10.2.
