  • Oct 26, 2026Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Apache Camel Docling component.CVE-2026-95629 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 5.4

Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Apache Camel Docling component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.15.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.2. DoclingProducer runs the external docling tool in CLI mode, the default, and tells it where to write the converted document through the --output flag. When the CamelDoclingOutputFilePath header was set, addOutputDirectoryArguments handed its value to that flag verbatim: the value was not normalized, an absolute path or a path containing .. segments was accepted as given, and no endpoint option could confine it to a directory. The custom-argument validation added by the fix for CVE-2026-40047 refuses the --output and -o flags in the CamelDoclingCustomArguments header and tells callers to choose the output directory with this header instead, so the one value that decides where docling writes reached the command line without any of the checks applied to custom arguments. Docling writes the conversion result, as Markdown, HTML, JSON or text, into that directory, naming the file after the input file, and the producer afterwards removes only its own temporary directory,

Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Apache Camel Docling component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.15.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.2. DoclingProducer builds the command line of the external docling tool and appends to it the custom arguments supplied in the CamelDoclingCustomArguments header, a list of strings whose flags the fix for CVE-2026-40047 restricted to an allowlist. That fix also introduced validatePathSafety to keep path-like argument values inside the intended directory, but the method only looked for relative traversal: it rejected a value containing a traversal sequence such as ../ and a value whose normalized form still held a .. element. It never checked whether a value was an absolute path, and an absolute path without traversal segments contains neither, so it passed unchanged. Every path-like value went through this check, whether it was a separate list element following its flag or was attached to the flag after an equals sign, so an absolute path was accepted in either form, for example as the directory given to the allowlisted --artifacts-path flag, which tells docling where

  • Oct 19, 2026docling-core 2.5.0 before 2.103.0 contains a local file disclosure vulnerability that allows attackers to read local images by supplying plain filesystem paths CVE-2026-112310 · Other software · docling-project · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3

docling-core 2.5.0 before 2.103.0 contains a local file disclosure vulnerability that allows attackers to read local images by supplying plain filesystem paths in ImageRef URIs, bypassing the allow_image_file_uri gate. Attackers can submit crafted DoclingDocument JSON or YAML that, when exported with ImageRefMode.EMBEDDED or rendered to HTML, embeds readable local image files as base64 and reveals path existence.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: clear stale buf->page after recycling on skb build failure In stmmac_rx(), when napi_build_skb() fails the descriptor page is recycled back to the page pool with page_pool_recycle_direct(), but buf->page is left pointing at the recycled page, unlike every other consumption site in the function which clears the pointer after handing the page away. With the stale pointer stmmac_rx_refill() skips the replacement allocation and programs the already-recycled page back into the RX descriptor. Clear buf->page on the napi_build_skb() failure path to keep the buffer lifecycle consistent with the other consumption sites.

  • Oct 5, 2026Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem.CVE-2026-105751 · Other software · docling-project · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem. From 2.107.0 until 2.120.3, docling/backend/opendocument_backend.py uses the xlink:href attribute value of a draw:image element as a filesystem path when the referenced part is not found in the document archive. The _image_ref_from_odf_image function reads that attacker-controlled path without a scheme check, extraction-directory confinement, or the enable_local_fetch setting used by other backends. Readable files that Pillow can decode as images are embedded in converted output, and other existing paths can be distinguished through the attempted read. This issue is fixed in 2.120.3.

  • Oct 5, 2026Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem.CVE-2026-105750 · Other software · docling-project · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem. From 2.82.0 until 2.118.1, HTMLBackendOptions(render_page=True) permits file URLs because HTMLDocumentBackend._get_browser_request_block_reason does not enforce the enable_local_fetch setting or confine local requests to the source document directory. Crafted path-backed HTML can embed a readable local text file in a browser-rendered page image when Playwright is installed. Only filesystem Path inputs are affected because stream inputs use an opaque origin, and the default configuration, command-line interface, docling-serve, and non-rendering backends are not affected. This issue is fixed in 2.118.1.

  • Oct 5, 2026Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem.CVE-2026-105749 · Other software · docling-project · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem. From 2.0.0 until 2.131.0, the HTML, JATS, OpenDocument spreadsheet, and BoxNote backends, including docling/backend/html_backend.py, docling/backend/jats_backend.py, and docling/backend/boxnote_backend.py, accept the rowspan and colspan attribute values without an upper bound and execute loops or allocate a table grid proportional to the declared span. A very small document can therefore cause sustained CPU use or multi-gigabyte memory allocation, and the document_timeout setting does not interrupt the single backend conversion call. Export through the TableData.grid property can further materialize the oversized grid. This issue is fixed in 2.131.0.

  • Oct 5, 2026Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem.CVE-2026-105748 · Other software · docling-project · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem. From 2.16.0 until 2.131.0, the InputFormat.JSON_DOCLING backend in docling/backend/json/docling_json_backend.py validates serialized DoclingDocument input without rejecting picture image references that contain local paths or file URIs. When the document is enriched or exported with ImageRefMode.EMBEDDED, the DoclingDocument._with_embedded_pictures and ImageRef.pil_image methods can open those references and place readable image bytes in Markdown or HTML output. Disclosure is limited to files Pillow can decode as images, while differing decode behavior can also reveal whether a path exists. Direct untrusted loading through docling-core is outside this Docling fix. This issue is fixed in 2.131.0.

Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem. From 2.45.0 until 2.131.0, METS-GBS format detection in docling/datamodel/document.py and the backend in docling/backend/mets_gbs_backend.py call tarfile.TarFile.getmembers() before enforcing the max_member_count limit, causing the full archive member list to be allocated before the limit can stop processing. A small gzip-compressed tar archive with a very large number of empty members can therefore consume memory proportional to the declared member count, including during format detection before the allowed_formats restriction is applied. This issue is a residual weakness in the member-count protection added for CVE-2026-44018. This issue is fixed in 2.131.0.

Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem. From 2.83.0 until 2.131.0, the KServeV2OcrModel class defined in docling/models/stages/ocr/kserve_v2_ocr_model.py sends page images to its configured endpoint without checking the pipeline_options.enable_remote_services setting, even when the caller sets that policy control to false. The StandardPdfPipeline._make_ocr_model method also fails to pass the flag into the OCR factory, allowing remote OCR processing in configurations that rely on remote services being disabled. Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem. From 2.27.0 until 2.131.0, Docling plugin factories in docling/models/factories/base_factory.py call load_setuptools_entrypoints() before applying the allow_external_plugins setting, so every module registered in the Docling entry-point group is imported even when external plugins are disabled. An installed third-party or compromised package can therefore execute import-time code when Docling starts, while the subsequent namespace filter misleadingly reports that the plugin was not loaded. • Oct 5, 2026Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem.CVE-2026-105743 · Other software · docling-project · reported by GitHubMedium 4

Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem. From 2.91.0 until 2.132.0, validate_url_safety in docling/backend/utils/image_resource_loader.py validates a hostname with a single IPv4 lookup and then allows the HTTP client to resolve and parse the original URL again, permitting DNS rebinding, mixed public and internal address records, and backslash authority parser disagreement to reach internal services. HTMLBackendOptions(render_page=True) also allows HTTP and HTTPS browser requests without validating their resolved destination. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Cancel special fields when recycling rhtab elements rhtab_map_update_existing() and rhtab_delete_elem() call bpf_obj_free_fields() when replacing or deleting a value. These map operations can run from BPF programs in NMI context, where releasing a referenced kptr or another complex field is not generally safe. Array and hash maps avoid that problem by cancelling only the asynchronous fields which can be stopped safely in the caller context. Other ownership state remains attached to the allocation until its memory allocator destructor performs the final cleanup. Use bpf_obj_cancel_fields() for the corresponding rhtab paths as well. This cancels timers, workqueues, and task work while allowing rhtab_mem_dtor() to release referenced kptrs when the allocation is eventually destroyed. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xprtrdma: Decouple req recycling from RPC completion rl_kref formerly served two distinct lifetimes through a single refcount: it gated when a Reply could wake its RPC task, and it gated when an rpcrdma_req could return to its free pool. The marshal path took the Send-side reference only when SGEs needed DMA-unmap (sc_unmap_count > 0), which made a Send carrying only pre-registered buffers an exception: the Reply handler dropped rl_kref from 1 to 0 and freed the req while the HCA might still be DMA-reading from its send buffer. Give rl_kref a narrower job. The RPC layer takes one reference when slot allocation hands a req out. rpcrdma_prepare_send_sges() takes a Send-side reference unconditionally after WR preparation succeeds. xprt_rdma_free_slot() and xprt_rdma_bc_free_rqst() drop the RPC-layer reference; rpcrdma_sendctx_unmap() drops the Send-side reference. The req returns to its free pool only after both owners have signed off. The existing kref_init(&req->rl_kref) call in rpcrdma_prepare_send_sges() is removed. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: resample the data fork mapping after cycling ILOCK xfs_reflink_fill_{cow_hole,delalloc} are both presented with an inode, a data fork mapping, and a cow fork mapping. Unfortunately, these two helpers cycle the ILOCK to grab a transaction, which means that the mappings are stale as soon as we reacquire the ILOCK. Currently we refresh the cow fork mapping by re-calling xfs_find_trim_cow_extent, but we don't refresh the data fork mapping beforehand, which means that the xfs_bmap_trim_cow in that function queries the refcount btree about the wrong physical blocks and returns an inaccurate value in *shared. If *shared is now false, the directio write proceeds with a stale data fork mapping. Fix this by querying the data fork mapping if the sequence counter changes across the ILOCK cycle.

Improper Neutralization of Argument Delimiters in a Command ('Argument Injection') vulnerability in Apache Camel Docling component. The camel-docling component invokes the external `docling` command-line tool by assembling an argument list in DoclingProducer and executing it through java.lang.ProcessBuilder. Custom CLI arguments supplied through the `CamelDoclingCustomArguments` exchange header (a List<String>) were appended to that argument list with insufficient validation: the original implementation relied on a denylist of disallowed flags and only rejected path values that contained a literal `../` sequence. As a result, a Camel route that forwards externally-influenced data into the `CamelDoclingCustomArguments` header (or into the path-bearing headers used to build the invocation) could cause the producer to pass unrecognized or unintended `docling` CLI flags to the subprocess, and could supply path-like argument values that resolved outside the intended directory through traversal sequences not caught by the literal `../` check. Because Camel itself builds the `docling` invocation from these values, the component is responsible for constraining them, and the weak validatio

  • May 14, 2026Docling-Graph turns documents into validated Pydantic objects, then builds a directed knowledge graph with explicit semantic relationships.CVE-2026-44520 · Other software · docling-project · reported by GitHubMedium 5.7

Docling-Graph turns documents into validated Pydantic objects, then builds a directed knowledge graph with explicit semantic relationships. Prior to 1.5.1, the URLInputHandler class in docling_graph/core/input/handlers.py makes HTTP requests to user-supplied URLs without validating whether the target resolves to a private, loopback, or link-local IP address. The URLValidator only checks for a valid scheme and non-empty netloc, performing no IP-level validation. Additionally, requests.head() was called with allow_redirects=True, allowing an attacker to redirect requests to internal endpoints via an intermediary URL. An attacker who can control the --source CLI argument or PipelineConfig.source API parameter can trigger Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF). This vulnerability is fixed in 1.5.1.

  • May 11, 2026Docling's METS GBS backend is vulnerable to XML Entity Expansion (XXE) attacks thru 2.61.0.CVE-2026-31248 · Other software · reported by MITREHigh 7.5

Docling's METS GBS backend is vulnerable to XML Entity Expansion (XXE) attacks thru 2.61.0. The backend extracts and validates XML files from .tar.gz archives using etree.fromstring() without disabling entity resolution. An attacker can craft a malicious XML file with nested entity definitions (XML Bomb) and package it into a .tar.gz archive. When processed by Docling, the exponential expansion of entities during XML parsing leads to excessive resource consumption, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition on the system running the Docling parser.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ti: icssg-prueth: Fix memory leak in XDP_DROP for non-zero-copy mode Page recycling was removed from the XDP_DROP path in emac_run_xdp() to avoid conflicts with AF_XDP zero-copy mode, which uses xsk_buff_free() instead. However, this causes a memory leak when running XDP programs that drop packets in non-zero-copy mode (standard page pool mode). The pages are never returned to the page pool, leading to OOM conditions. Fix this by handling cleanup in the caller, emac_rx_packet(). When emac_run_xdp() returns ICSSG_XDP_CONSUMED for XDP_DROP, the caller now recycles the page back to the page pool. The zero-copy path, emac_rx_packet_zc() already handles cleanup correctly with xsk_buff_free().

  • Jan 22, 2026Docling Core (or docling-core) is a library that defines core data types and transformations in the document processing application Docling.CVE-2026-24009 · Other software · docling-project · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

Docling Core (or docling-core) is a library that defines core data types and transformations in the document processing application Docling. A PyYAML-related Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability, namely CVE-2020-14343, is exposed in docling-core starting in version 2.21.0 and prior to version 2.48.4, specifically only if the application uses pyyaml prior to version 5.4 and invokes `docling_core.types.doc.DoclingDocument.load_from_yaml()` passing it untrusted YAML data. The vulnerability has been patched in docling-core version 2.48.4. The fix mitigates the issue by switching `PyYAML` deserialization from `yaml.FullLoader` to `yaml.SafeLoader`, ensuring that untrusted data cannot trigger code execution. Users who cannot immediately upgrade docling-core can alternatively ensure that the installed version of PyYAML is 5.4 or greater.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: skbuff: fix coalescing for page_pool fragment recycling Fix a use-after-free when using page_pool with page fragments. We encountered this problem during normal RX in the hns3 driver: (1) Initially we have three descriptors in the RX queue. The first one allocates PAGE1 through page_pool, and the other two allocate one half of PAGE2 each. Page references look like this: RX_BD1 _______ PAGE1 RX_BD2 _______ PAGE2 RX_BD3 _________/ (2) Handle RX on the first descriptor. Allocate SKB1, eventually added to the receive queue by tcp_queue_rcv(). (3) Handle RX on the second descriptor. Allocate SKB2 and pass it to netif_receive_skb(): netif_receive_skb(SKB2) ip_rcv(SKB2) SKB3 = skb_clone(SKB2) SKB2 and SKB3 share a reference to PAGE2 through skb_shinfo()->dataref. The other ref to PAGE2 is still held by RX_BD3: SKB2 ---+- PAGE2 SKB3 __/ / RX_BD3 _________/ (3b) Now while handling TCP, coalesce SKB3 with SKB1: tcp_v4_rcv(SKB3) tcp_try_coalesce(t
