A vulnerability in Cerberus FTP Server allows an authenticated remote attacker to perform UNC path injection via a manipulated parameter. By supplying a malicious SMB share path, an attacker can execute authentication coercion against the underlying server, resulting in the leakage of the Cerberus service account's Net-NTLMv2 hash. This issue has been resolved in Cerberus FTP Server: 2026.3.0.

This occurs because of the folder_up.png IMG element not properly sanitizing user-inserted directory paths. The path modification must be done on a publicly shared folder for a remote attacker to insert arbitrary JavaScript or HTML.
