Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: fix compat ALLOCSPI request use-after-free xfrm_state_netlink() builds the ALLOCSPI CVE-2026-98370 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: fix compat ALLOCSPI request use-after-free xfrm_state_netlink() builds the ALLOCSPI response with dump_one_state(), which already calls alloc_compat() with the response skb and header. xfrm_alloc_userspi() then calls alloc_compat() again, but passes the original request skb and its header. For a compat request, the translator therefore interprets the 228-byte compat xfrm_userspi_info as the 232-byte native layout and reads four bytes past the declared payload. It also publishes the translated child through the request's frag_list. A multicast clone of the request shares skb_shared_info and can observe that child. xfrm_user_rcv_msg() frees it after the request handler returns, racing a compat receiver which may still be copying from it and resulting in a use-after-free. Remove the redundant conversion. The response keeps its correct compat translation from dump_one_state(), and no child is attached to the inbound request.

Sep 27, 2026When an application enables both OCSP and CRL revocation checking on one WOLFSSL_CTX or certificate manager, wolfSSL skips the CRL check for any peer certificatCVE-2026-94417 · Other software · wolfSSL · reported by facts@wolfssl.comLow 2.3
When an application enables both OCSP and CRL revocation checking on one WOLFSSL_CTX or certificate manager, wolfSSL skips the CRL check for any peer certificate that carries no Authority Information Access OCSP URL, and accepts a certificate the loaded CRL lists as revoked. The soft-fail policy for a missing responder collapses the OCSP result onto success before the code decides whether the CRL fallback is still needed, so "no responder exists" becomes indistinguishable from "the responder answered good". Affected builds define both HAVE_OCSP and HAVE_CRL: --enable-ocsp --enable-crl directly, and implicitly --enable-all, --enable-distro, --enable-curl, --enable-nginx, --enable-haproxy, --enable-stunnel, --enable-lighty, --enable-wpas, --enable-strongswan, --enable-mosquitto, --enable-jni, --enable-openvpn and --enable-krb. An application is affected only if it calls both wolfSSL_CTX_EnableOCSP() (or wolfSSL_EnableOCSP() / wolfSSL_CertManagerEnableOCSP()) and wolfSSL_CTX_EnableCRL() (or the equivalents) with a CRL loaded; an application that uses OCSP stapling alone through wolfSSL_CTX_EnableOCSPStapling() is not affected, because that sets up a separate OCSP instance. In wolfSSL versions 5.7.2 through 5.9.2 there is a client-side implementation flaw in RFC 6961, multiple OCSP response stapling, which can lead to certificate forgery. When a wolfSSL client enables OCSP stapling with the HAVE_CERTIFICATE_STATUS_REQUEST_V2 feature and calls wolfSSL_UseOCSPStaplingV2(ssl, WOLFSSL_CSR2_OCSP_MULTI, options), the client accepts any certificate in the peer's chain as a certificate authority without verifying that the certificate is actually authorized to act as one. This means that an attacker who possesses any certificate that chains to a CA trusted by the client (along with its private key) can forge certificates for arbitrary identities that will be accepted as valid by the client. The end entity certificate of the server is stored in the persistent trust store, affecting subsequent connections that reuse the context even when OCSP multi usage is not employed. Found by internal wolfSSL testing.

Sep 18, 2026A flaw was found in Netty's Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) Client.CVE-2026-93578 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.9
A flaw was found in Netty's Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) Client. The client fails to verify the 'id-kp-OCSPSigning' Extended Key Usage (EKU) in OCSP responder certificates. A remote attacker, holding any valid certificate issued by the same Certificate Authority (CA), can exploit this by forging 'GOOD' OCSP responses for revoked certificates. This bypasses certificate revocation checks, allowing applications using Netty's OCSP Client to accept certificates that should have been revoked, leading to an authorization bypass.

Sep 18, 2026A flaw was found in Netty's `netty-handler-ssl-ocsp` component.CVE-2026-93493 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.9
A flaw was found in Netty's `netty-handler-ssl-ocsp` component. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by providing an Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) response that omits the optional `nextUpdate` field. This omission causes the OCSP validation to be silently skipped, leading to applications proceeding with an unvalidated certificate. This can result in a bypass of security controls where certificate validation is expected.

Sep 4, 2026Improper OCSP response validation in the Snowflake Python, Go, JDBC, and Node.js drivers allowed a revoked TLS certificate to be accepted as valid, because OCSPCVE-2026-85525 · Other software · Snowflake · reported by 412d305a-227d-44f9-a262-a31ba44f2aeaHigh 7.4
Improper OCSP response validation in the Snowflake Python, Go, JDBC, and Node.js drivers allowed a revoked TLS certificate to be accepted as valid, because OCSP responses were not reliably bound to the certificate being validated and definitive verification failures were treated as transient. A man-in-the-middle attacker holding a revoked certificate and its private key for a Snowflake or stage hostname could cause the driver to establish a TLS session to the attacker-controlled endpoint anyway, allowing the attacker to read and modify data transmitted within that connection. Successful exploitation requires that on-path position and the corresponding private key, and impact is limited to data carried within the intercepted connection. The fix is available in Snowflake Connector for Python v4.7.3, Snowflake Go Driver v2.2.0, Snowflake JDBC Driver v4.3.4 (including the snowflake-jdbc-fips and snowflake-jdbc-thin), and Snowflake Node.js Driver v3.3.0. Users must manually upgrade.

Aug 30, 2026Use of Insufficiently Random Values vulnerability in ash-project ash_admin ships a hardcoded, publicly known CSP nonce, defeating nonce-based Content-Security-PCVE-2026-81852 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.1
Use of Insufficiently Random Values vulnerability in ash-project ash_admin ships a hardcoded, publicly known CSP nonce, defeating nonce-based Content-Security-Policy protection. When mounted without :csp_nonce_assign_key, AshAdmin.Router.ash_admin/2 defaulted the img, style, and script nonces to the literal constant ash_admin-Ed55GFnX, which AshAdmin.Layouts wrote verbatim into the nonce attribute of its inline <style> and <script> tags on every response. The value is a compile-time constant published in the repository and is never rotated per request. If an application's CSP script-src allow-lists that documented default, any HTML-injection sink on an admin page can reuse the known nonce to run inline scripts the policy was meant to block. The fix generates a fresh random nonce per request. This issue affects ash_admin: from 0.10.8 before 1.3.1.

Dancer2 versions before 2.2.0 for Perl generate insecure session ids when required CSPRNG modules are unavailable. Dancer2::Core::Role::SessionFactory::generate_id silently falls back to a built-in rand-derived session id unless both Math::Random::ISAAC::XS and Crypt::URandom are available. The fallback session id is generated from a SHA-1 hash of a call to the built-in rand function, the absolute path of the Dancer2::Core::Role::SessionFactory module, an internal counter, the process id, the module instance memory address, and a shuffled string of characters (using the List::Util::shuffle function, which also uses the built-in rand function). These are all low-entropy and easily guessed sources. The built-in rand() function is seeded with 32-bits and considered unsuitable for security applications. Predictable session ids could allow an attacker to gain access to systems.

Jun 25, 2026OCSP CertID serial-number length-confusion in wolfSSL_OCSP_resp_find_status allows a same-issuer SingleResponse whose serial is a prefix of the target serial toCVE-2026-10098 · Other software · wolfSSL · reported by facts@wolfssl.comMedium 6.3
OCSP CertID serial-number length-confusion in wolfSSL_OCSP_resp_find_status allows a same-issuer SingleResponse whose serial is a prefix of the target serial to be reported as the revocation status of a different certificate. The lookup compared serial-number bytes without first requiring the two serial numbers to be of equal length, so a SingleResponse for one certificate (same issuer) whose serial is a prefix of the target's serial would match, returning the wrong certificate's status. The fix requires the serial lengths to be equal before comparing the serial bytes.

Issue summary: When a partial-chain certificate verification is enabled together with OCSP response checking for the whole chain, a NULL dereference will happen if the verified chain does not have a self-signed trusted anchor, crashing the process. Impact summary: A NULL pointer dereference can trigger a crash which leads to a Denial of Service for an application. When performing OCSP response checking for certificates in the verification chain, the code always tries to access the next certificate as the issuer. There is a check for a self-signed certificate. However with the partial chain verification enabled when the chain does not have a self-signed trusted anchor, the issuer will be NULL for the last certificate in the chain. A NULL pointer dereference then happens. This issue affects only applications which enable both OCSP verification of the certificate chain (X509_V_FLAG_OCSP_RESP_CHECK_ALL) and partial chain verification (X509_V_FLAG_PARTIAL_CHAIN) in the certificate verification. Both flags are disabled by default. For that reason, we have assigned Low severity to the issue. No FIPS modules are affected by this issue as the affected code is outside the OpenSSL FIPS mo

Jun 9, 2026Issue summary: A malicious server can exploit TLS OCSP stapling by delivering a crafted response through the status_request extension, triggering a double-free CVE-2026-35188 · Websites & servers · OpenSSL · reported by openssl-security@openssl.orgMedium 5
Issue summary: A malicious server can exploit TLS OCSP stapling by delivering a crafted response through the status_request extension, triggering a double-free in the client's certificate verification path. Impact summary: Successful exploitation allows an attacker to corrupt heap memory via a double-free, potentially leading to a Denial of Service or possibly an attacker controlled code execution or other undefined behavior. If OCSP stapling is enabled and the TLS client connects to a malicious server, a crafted OCSP stapled response can trigger a double free in the TLS client when the stapled response is checked. The OCSP stapling is not enabled by default. Reliable code execution through a double-free is technically complex and highly environment-dependent but the Denial of Service impact is straightforward to achieve, warranting Moderate severity. No FIPS modules are affected by this issue as the affected code is outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary.

May 27, 2026Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability in Erlang OTP public_key (pubkey_ocsp module) allows forged OCSP responses signed with an expired responder certifCVE-2026-42791 · Other software · Erlang · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 6.3
Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability in Erlang OTP public_key (pubkey_ocsp module) allows forged OCSP responses signed with an expired responder certificate to be accepted as valid. OCSP response verification in pubkey_ocsp:verify_response/5 and pubkey_ocsp:is_authorized_responder/3 in lib/public_key/src/pubkey_ocsp.erl does not check the validity period (notBefore/notAfter) of the OCSP responder certificate. An attacker who has obtained the private key of an expired CA-designated OCSP responder certificate can forge OCSP responses that Erlang/OTP accepts as valid. This affects TLS clients using OCSP stapling via the ssl application: a malicious or compromised server can present a revoked TLS certificate together with a forged OCSP response signed by an expired responder key, and the client will accept the revoked certificate as valid. It also affects applications calling public_key:pkix_ocsp_validate/5 directly, where the impact depends on the use case — server-side client certificate validation using this API may allow authentication bypass with a revoked client certificate. This issue affects OTP from OTP 27.0 before OTP 29.0.1, OTP 28.5.0.1 and OTP 27.3.4.12, corres

Apr 7, 2026Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability in Erlang OTP public_key (pubkey_ocsp module) allows OCSP designated-responder authorization bypass via missing siCVE-2026-32144 · Other software · Erlang · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 7.6
Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability in Erlang OTP public_key (pubkey_ocsp module) allows OCSP designated-responder authorization bypass via missing signature verification. The OCSP response validation in public_key:pkix_ocsp_validate/5 does not verify that a CA-designated responder certificate was cryptographically signed by the issuing CA. Instead, it only checks that the responder certificate's issuer name matches the CA's subject name and that the certificate has the OCSPSigning extended key usage. An attacker who can intercept or control OCSP responses can create a self-signed certificate with a matching issuer name and the OCSPSigning EKU, and use it to forge OCSP responses that mark revoked certificates as valid. This affects SSL/TLS clients using OCSP stapling, which may accept connections to servers with revoked certificates, potentially transmitting sensitive data to compromised servers. Applications using the public_key:pkix_ocsp_validate/5 API directly are also affected, with impact depending on usage context. This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/public_key/src/pubkey_ocsp.erl and program routines pubkey_ocsp:is_authorized_responder/3. Th

PLANKA 2.0.0 lacks X-Frame-Options and CSP frame-ancestors headers, allowing the application to be embedded within malicious iframes. While this does not lead to unintended modification of projects or tasks, it exposes users to Phishing attacks. Attackers can frame the legitimate Planka application on a malicious site to establish false trust (UI Redressing), potentially tricking users into entering sensitive information or credentials into overlaid fake forms. NOTE: this is disputed by the Supplier because "PLANKA uses SameSite=Strict cookies, preventing authentication in cross-origin contexts. No session can be established. No credential interception or unauthorized actions are possible. Browser Same-Origin Policy prevents the parent page from accessing iframe content. Clickjacking is not applicable on the login page. Any credential capture would require attacker-controlled input and user interaction equivalent to phishing. The security outcome depends entirely on the user's trust in the parent page. An attacker can achieve the same effect with a fully fake login page. Embedding the legitimate page adds no risk, as browsers do not show URL, certificate, or padlock indicators in c
