  • Oct 18, 2026The Bootstrap Shortcodes plugin for WordPress before 3.4.6 is vulnerable to stored XSS via the id attribute of the [bs_tcontent] shortcode.CVE-2026-112111 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by MITREMedium 5.1

The Bootstrap Shortcodes plugin for WordPress before 3.4.6 is vulnerable to stored XSS via the id attribute of the [bs_tcontent] shortcode. The bs_tcontent() shortcode handler in inc/bs_tabs.php emits the id attribute value into an unquoted HTML attribute. esc_attr() is applied, but it does not encode space characters, so a space in the supplied value terminates the attribute and any following text is parsed as additional HTML attributes, including JavaScript event handlers. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web script that executes in the browser of any user who views the page and interacts with the injected element.

  • Apr 22, 2026Slider Bootstrap Carousel: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-4076 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The Slider Bootstrap Carousel plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'category' and 'template' shortcode attributes in all versions up to and including 1.0.7. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied shortcode attributes. The plugin uses extract() on shortcode_atts() to parse attributes, then directly outputs the $category variable into multiple HTML attributes (id, data-target, href) on lines 38, 47, 109, and 113 without applying esc_attr(). Similarly, the $template attribute flows into a class attribute on line 93 without escaping. The Ultimate Bootstrap Elements for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘heading_title_tag’ and ’heading_sub_title_tag’ parameters in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
