In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: always return -EIOCBQUEUED after btrfs_uring_read_extent_endio If all bios finish before btrfs_encoded_read_regular_fill_pages() returns, it calls btrfs_uring_read_extent_endio() and previously returned the I/O status. A negative errno then made btrfs_uring_read_extent() unlock and free while btrfs_uring_read_finished() did the same again. Return -EIOCBQUEUED so only the deferred path cleans up.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: hp-bioscfg: fix password encoding bounds check The password PSWD_ENCODINGS pCVE-2026-90137 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.7
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: hp-bioscfg: fix password encoding bounds check The password PSWD_ENCODINGS parser reads password_obj[elem + pos_values] while copying the supported password encodings from the ACPI package. The outer loop only guarantees that elem is within password_obj_count. The encoding count is bounded by MAX_ENCODINGS_SIZE, but that does not guarantee that the ACPI package contains enough entries for all elem + pos_values accesses. A malformed package can therefore declare a non-zero encoding count without providing enough string objects, causing the parser to read past the ACPI package array and pass an out-of-bounds string pointer and length to hp_convert_hexstr_to_str(). Add the same computed-index bounds check used by the other offset-based package parsing loops before reading password_obj[elem + pos_values].

Sep 14, 2026UEFI Firmware Parser parses BIOS, Intel ME, and UEFI firmware structures including volumes, file systems, and files.CVE-2026-54334 · Other software · theopolis · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8
UEFI Firmware Parser parses BIOS, Intel ME, and UEFI firmware structures including volumes, file systems, and files. Prior to 1.14, ReadCLen() in uefi_firmware/compression/Tiano/Decompress.c reads Number from GetBits(Sd, CBIT) with CBIT = 9 and can obtain 511 entries for the 510-element Sd->mCLen heap array because its loop does not enforce Index < NC. The CharC == 2 run-length path can additionally request up to 531 zero writes through Sd->mCLen[Index++] = 0. The normal CompressedSection.process() to efi_compressor.TianoDecompress() to TianoDecompress() to DecodeC() to ReadCLen() parsing path therefore permits crafted Tiano or EFI compressed firmware to corrupt heap memory, deterministically crash the parsing process, and potentially execute code depending on build and runtime details. This issue is fixed in version 1.14.

Sep 14, 2026UEFI Firmware Parser parses BIOS, Intel ME, and UEFI firmware structures including volumes, file systems, and files.CVE-2026-54333 · Other software · theopolis · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8
UEFI Firmware Parser parses BIOS, Intel ME, and UEFI firmware structures including volumes, file systems, and files. Prior to 1.14, MakeTable() in uefi_firmware/compression/Tiano/Decompress.c does not validate that bit-length values read from a crafted Tiano or EFI compressed firmware bitstream remain within the expected range from 0 through 16. The normal CompressedSection.process() to efi_compressor.TianoDecompress() to TianoDecompress() to ReadPTLen() to MakeTable() parsing path can consequently write beyond the stack-allocated Count[17] array and related decode tables. The resulting stack corruption deterministically crashes the parsing process and may permit code execution depending on build and runtime details. This issue is fixed in version 1.14.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: panasonic-laptop: Fix sentinel write past pcc->sinf[] acpi_pcc_retrieve_biosCVE-2026-89436 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: panasonic-laptop: Fix sentinel write past pcc->sinf[] acpi_pcc_retrieve_biosdata() rejects SINF packages only when pcc->num_sifr is strictly less than hkey->package.count, then unconditionally writes a trailing sentinel at pcc->sinf[hkey->package.count]. But pcc->sinf[] is allocated with exactly pcc->num_sifr elements (valid indices 0..num_sifr-1), so that write needs num_sifr strictly greater than package.count to stay in bounds -- num_sifr == package.count passes the existing check but still overflows by one element. This is exactly the case probe()'s existing num_sifr++ workaround ("Some DSDT-s have an off-by-one bug where the SINF package count is one higher than the SQTY reported value") is written to accommodate: when a DSDT's SINF package count equals SQTY+1, the workaround makes num_sifr equal to package.count, which is precisely the boundary that overflows here. Found via UBSan (array-index-out-of-bounds) on hardware where HKEY.SQTY returns 37 and HKEY.SINF()'s package has 38 elements: num_sifr becomes 38 after the += 1 workaround, the loop correctly fills indices 0..37, and the sentinel w

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: hp-bioscfg: fix heap OOB read in sk_store() and kek_store() sk_store() and kek_store() strip a trailing newline from the sysfs write before allocating the key buffer: length = count; if (buf[length - 1] == '\n') length--; bioscfg_drv.spm_data.signing_key = kmemdup(buf, length, GFP_KERNEL); but then pass the original "count" (not "length") as the copy size to hp_wmi_perform_query(), which memcpy()s that many bytes out of the "length"-sized allocation, reading one byte past it whenever the write ends in a newline, the normal case for a shell "echo" into sysfs. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: hp-bioscfg: fix heap OOB read on empty password write validate_password_input() computes length = strlen(buf) and then checks buf[length - 1] to strip a trailing newline, without checking that length is nonzero first. Writing an empty string (a bare '\n') to current_password or new_password gives length == 0, and buf[length - 1] reads buf[-1], one byte before the heap allocation holding the copied input. KASAN confirms this directly: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in store_password_instance.constprop.0+0x223/0x2a0 [hp_bioscfg] Read of size 1 at addr ffff88811bd8da9f by task sh/13740 ... store_password_instance.constprop.0+0x223/0x2a0 [hp_bioscfg] current_password_store+0x14/0x20 [hp_bioscfg] ... Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: hp-bioscfg: fix off-by-one write in hp_get_string_from_buffer() hp_get_strinCVE-2026-81012 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.4
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: hp-bioscfg: fix off-by-one write in hp_get_string_from_buffer() hp_get_string_from_buffer() clamps the converted string length against the destination buffer size with "size > dst_size", so when the converted length is exactly equal to dst_size, conv_dst_size is left at dst_size and the unconditional NUL terminator write dst[conv_dst_size] = 0; lands one byte past the destination buffer. This is the same shape of bug as the previously fixed off-by-one in hp_convert_hexstr_to_str(): the buffer is sized correctly for the content, but the terminator write is never checked against that size. Fix by changing the comparison to ">=" so conv_dst_size is always left with room for the terminator. All fixed-size destinations that reach this function (path[512], current_value[512], current_password/current_value[64], and the per-entry buffers in encodings[][512] and prerequisites[][512]) are affected.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: hp-bioscfg: pass validated element count to package parsers The per-type pacCVE-2026-81011 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: hp-bioscfg: pass validated element count to package parsers The per-type package parsers are handed the wrong element count. hp_init_bios_package_attribute() validates obj->package.count and then calls one of the five hp_populate_*_package_data() wrappers (string, integer, enumeration, ordered list, password). Each wrapper forwards a count to its hp_populate_*_elements_from_package() parser, but instead of forwarding the validated obj->package.count it derives the count from elements[0]. elements[0] is the NAME field and is always an ACPI_TYPE_STRING, so reading ->package.count from it in fact reads ->string.length through the union acpi_object. The parsers thus bound themselves against the length of the name string rather than against the real number of elements in the package. This is safe today because hp_init_bios_package_attribute() refuses any package that has fewer than the type's element count, so a parser only ever runs on a full package and never reads past it regardless of the bogus bound. An upcoming change relaxes that check to accept shorter packages. Once a parser can receive fewer

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md/raid1,raid10: fix bio accounting for split md cloned bios Use md_cloned_bio() to control bio accounting instead of relying on r1bio_existed in raid1 or the io_accounting flag in raid10. The previous logic does not reliably reflect whether a bio is an md cloned bio. When a failed bio is split and resubmitted via bio_submit_split_bioset() on the error path, this can lead to either double accounting for md cloned bios, or missing accounting for bios returned from bio_submit_split_bioset() Fix this by using md_cloned_bio() to detect md cloned bios and skip accounting accordingly.

Aug 10, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Release VFCT ACPI table reference amdgpu_acpi_vfct_bios() fetches the VFCT tabCVE-2026-68238 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Release VFCT ACPI table reference amdgpu_acpi_vfct_bios() fetches the VFCT table with acpi_get_table() but never releases it. acpi_get_table() takes a reference on the table (incrementing its validation_count and mapping it on the 0->1 transition); without a paired acpi_put_table() the mapping is leaked on every call, whether or not a matching VBIOS image is found. Route all exit paths after the table is acquired through a common acpi_put_table(). The VBIOS image is copied out with kmemdup() before the table is released, so it remains valid for the caller. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Bound VBIOS record-chain walk loops [Why & How] All record-chain walk loops in bios_parser.c and bios_parser2.c use for(;;) and only terminate on a 0xFF record_type sentinel or zero record_size. A malformed VBIOS image missing the terminator record causes unbounded iteration at probe time, potentially hundreds of thousands of iterations with record_size=1. In the final iterations near the BIOS image boundary, struct casts beyond the 2-byte header validated by GET_IMAGE can also read out of bounds. Cap all 14 record-chain walk loops to BIOS_MAX_NUM_RECORD (256) iterations. The atombios.h defines up to 22 distinct record types and atomfirmware.h has 13. Assuming an average of less than 10 records per type (which is reasonable since most are connector- based) 256 is a generous upper bound. Jun 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Clamp VBIOS HDMI retimer register count to array size [Why & How] The VBICVE-2026-53136 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Clamp VBIOS HDMI retimer register count to array size [Why & How] The VBIOS integrated info tables (v1_11 and v2_1) contain HdmiRegNum and Hdmi6GRegNum fields that are used as loop bounds when copying retimer I2C register settings into fixed-size arrays (dp*_ext_hdmi_reg_settings[9] and dp*_ext_hdmi_6g_reg_settings[3]). These u8 fields are not validated before use, so a malformed VBIOS can specify values up to 255, causing an out-of-bounds heap write during driver probe. Clamp each register count to the destination array size using min_t() before the copy loops, in both get_integrated_info_v11() and get_integrated_info_v2_1(). Jun 2, 2026Bitdefender Napoca bare-metal hypervisor contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the BIOS INT 0x15 / E820 memory map handler, implemented in napoca/gueCVE-2026-10046 · Other software · Bitdefender · reported by cve-requests@bitdefender.comHigh 8.5
Bitdefender Napoca bare-metal hypervisor contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the BIOS INT 0x15 / E820 memory map handler, implemented in napoca/guests/bios_handlers.c. The handler computes a destination offset into the guest RealModeMemory buffer from guest-controlled ES and EDI register values without validating that the resulting address remains within the 1MB RealModeMemory allocation. A malicious guest operating in real mode can trigger the issue by invoking INT 0x15 with AX=0xE820, EDX=0x534D4150, ECX greater than or equal to 20, EBX=0, ES=0xFFFF, and EDI=0xFFFF. This can cause a write of up to 20 bytes past the end of the RealModeMemory buffer into the hypervisor heap. The product is end-of-life and unsupported when assigned.

An unhandled exception in Suprema BioStar 2 (Server), versions 2.9.8, 2.9.10, and 2.9.11, that allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) by sending HTTP POST requests to the ‘/api/migration’ endpoint. This request triggers a failure that halts critical processes, leaving the system offline until the services or server are manually restarted. As a result, access control readers cease to function, and potential failures may occur in third-party integrations. Since the exploit requires no privileges or user interaction and is trivial to automate, the impact on availability is high, and the effect extends to interconnected systems.

Incorrect permission settings on a critical resource in Suprema BioStar 2 (versions 2.9.3 through 2.9.11) that allow backup files to be publicly exposed when the administrator configures their path within the NGINX webroot. This vulnerability allows an attacker with network access to directly download backup ZIP files via ‘http(s)://[server]/download/…’ without requiring authentication. This exposes highly sensitive information that can lead to server impersonation, unauthorized access to databases, and lateral movement.
