The WPConsent – Cookie Banner & Cookie Consent for Privacy Compliance (GDPR / CCPA / EU Compliance Cookie Notice) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Comment Content via Simple HTML DOM Parser Noise-Key Restoration (mXSS) in all versions up to, and including, 1.1.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires the Script Blocking feature to be enabled, and the exploit chain depends on an attacker submitting two coordinated comments — one embedding event-handler syntax inside an allowed <code> element and one placing the deterministic ___noise___ restoration key inside an allowed <abbr title=""> attribute — with the key offset confirmable via an unauthenticated wpconsent_debug=1 request.

The Lightweight Cookie Notice – Cookie Banner for Cookie Consent plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 1.19 This is due to the W3TC_DYNAMIC_SECURITY constant being hardcoded to a publicly known value. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to know the W3 Total Cache mfunc security key, which when W3 Total Cache is installed may allow arbitrary PHP code injection.

  • Oct 16, 2026The NotificationX – FOMO, Live Sales Notification, WooCommerce Sales Popup, GDPR, Social Proof, Announcement Banner & Floating Notification Bar plugin for WordPCVE-2026-109513 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The NotificationX – FOMO, Live Sales Notification, WooCommerce Sales Popup, GDPR, Social Proof, Announcement Banner & Floating Notification Bar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'name' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires that an administrator has previously enabled a WordPress.org Reviews campaign and placed the notificationx-pro/notificationx dynamic block on a public page, both of which are documented, supported plugin workflows.

  • Oct 16, 2026Complianz GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent Banner: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-97339 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The Complianz GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent Banner plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Comment Content via yotu-wp Cookie-Blocker Filter in all versions up to, and including, 7.5.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The exploit bypasses WordPress's wp_kses comment sanitization because the payload uses only allow-listed tags and hides executable tokens inside quoted attribute values as plain text; the XSS is only realized when Complianz's own output-buffer filter performs str_replace() rewrites that break out of the attribute context, and requires the comment to be approved before it executes for visitors.

  • Oct 13, 2026Abandoned Cart Pro for WooCommerce: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-97668 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The Abandoned Cart Pro for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the guest cart persistent meta_value in all versions up to, and including, 10.8.0 due to insufficient escaping on user supplied data and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query in the update_guest_persistent_cart() function. The abandoned_cart_info value, populated from attacker-controlled checkout fields such as the SMS consent field, is passed through stripslashes() and concatenated directly into an UPDATE statement while the adjacent SELECT and INSERT use prepared statements. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL to the query. Because the sink is an UPDATE ... SET on the wp_usermeta table, the injection can both extract sensitive information from the database via time-based blind techniques and modify usermeta rows; it has been demonstrated to escalate an arbitrary account to administrator by writing a wp_capabilities row that shadows the legitimate one.

  • Oct 13, 2026Abandoned Cart Pro for WooCommerce: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-97657 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The Abandoned Cart Pro for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via Malleable Encryption and Bypassable HMAC in all versions up to, and including, 10.8.0. This is due to the use of MAC-free AES-CTR encryption for cart-recovery link tokens — where the 8-byte CTR nonce is carried inside the ciphertext blob and the encryption key is looked up using the attacker-supplied `user_email` GET parameter — combined with an HMAC nonce check in `wcap_email_track_links()` that is only enforced when the `wcap_nonce` parameter is non-empty, allowing complete bypass by omission, and an insecure direct object reference on the decrypted `abandoned_id` with no ownership verification confirming the cart belongs to the email used for decryption. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers who possess a single legitimate cart-recovery link (obtained from their own reminder email) to recover the keystream, forge a ciphertext that decrypts to any victim's cart ID, and trigger a call to `wp_set_auth_cookie()` for the victim user — achieving full account takeover of any user who has ever abandoned a cart, including administrators. The auto-login feature defaults to

  • Oct 13, 2026Abandoned Cart Pro for WooCommerce: Generic SQL InjectionCVE-2026-102251 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5

The Abandoned Cart Pro for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via the 'validate' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 10.8.0 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. AES-CTR is a malleable stream cipher, so an attacker who obtains one legitimate token by abandoning a cart with an email address they control can recover the keystream and forge a ciphertext carrying arbitrary SQL. The HMAC check added in 10.4.1 is enforced only when the wcap_nonce parameter is present, so omitting the parameter skips it entirely.

  • Oct 10, 2026FireBox – WooCommerce Popup Builder, Exit Intent Popup, Email Optin & Cart Abandonment: Generic SQL InjectionCVE-2026-104724 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3

The FireBox – WooCommerce Popup Builder, Exit Intent Popup, Email Optin & Cart Abandonment plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via FireBox Form Display Condition in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.13 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. On fresh installations of version 3.1.10 and later, exploitation requires administrator-level access; however, on sites upgraded from a version prior to 3.1.10, the preserveCampaignRoleAccess() migration grants the edit_fireboxes capability to any role that previously held edit_posts, reducing the minimum required privilege to Author-level.

  • Oct 3, 2026Real Cookie Banner: GDPR & ePrivacy Cookie Consent: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-92977 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The Real Cookie Banner: GDPR & ePrivacy Cookie Consent plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Comment in all versions up to, and including, 5.3.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Malicious script payloads placed in the title attribute of an anchor tag survive WordPress's comment kses filter at save time, as the payload is only promoted to executable HTML attributes when the plugin's page-wide regex strips the closing quote delimiter at render time; exploitability is therefore subject to the standard comment moderation workflow before the comment is publicly displayed.

  • Sep 8, 2026FireBox – WooCommerce Popup Builder, Exit Intent Popup, Email Optin & Cart Abandonment: Remote Code ExecutionCVE-2026-76801 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The FireBox – WooCommerce Popup Builder, Exit Intent Popup, Email Optin & Cart Abandonment plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.10 via the value function. This is due to a trivially bypassable regex blacklist in Executer::allowedToRun() that fails to block WordPress core functions such as wp_insert_user, update_option, and file_put_contents, combined with no sanitization of PHP condition rule values stored via the firebox_meta REST endpoint. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to execute code on the server. On sites upgraded from a version prior to 3.1.10, the Migrator::preserveCampaignRoleAccess() function automatically grants the edit_fireboxes and publish_fireboxes capabilities to the Author role, lowering the effective entry point to Author-level access.

  • Sep 5, 2026Abandoned Cart Pro for WooCommerce: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-81543 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The Abandoned Cart Pro for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 10.7.1. This is due to missing capability checks and nonce verification on multiple AJAX actions including wcap_save_connector_settings, wcap_send_manual_email, wcap_abandoned_cart_info, and wcap_change_manual_email_data. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to modify SMTP connector settings to route administrator recovery emails through an attacker-controlled server and intercept auto-login links to gain full administrative access. • Jul 28, 2026Taskbuilder – Project Management & Task Management Tool With Kanban Board: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-15267 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5

The Taskbuilder – Project Management & Task Management Tool With Kanban Board plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'wppm_proj_filter' parameter in versions up to, and including, 5.0.9. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and the lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query — the value is re-read at line 144 using only sanitize_text_field() (overwriting the earlier absint() result), then concatenated into the SQL WHERE clause as an unquoted numeric operand using only esc_sql(), which does not protect against injection in that context, and finally string-interpolated into the $wpdb->prepare() format string, bypassing parameterization entirely. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

  • Jul 28, 2026SMS Alert – SMS & OTP for WooCommerce, Order Notifications & Abandoned Cart Recovery: Generic SQL InjectionCVE-2026-15673 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.4

The SMS Alert – SMS & OTP for WooCommerce, Order Notifications & Abandoned Cart Recovery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via 'checkout_payment_plans' and 'order_status' Settings in all versions up to, and including, 3.9.7 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. This is a second-order SQL injection: the malicious payload is stored in the 'checkout_payment_plans' and 'order_status' settings via update_option() and executed later when the cod_to_prepaid_cart_notification_sendsms_hook WP-Cron event fires SA_CodTOPrepaid::sendSms().

  • Jul 28, 2026SMS Alert – SMS & OTP for WooCommerce, Order Notifications & Abandoned Cart Recovery: Authentication Bypass leading to Account TakeoverCVE-2026-15014 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The SMS Alert – SMS & OTP for WooCommerce, Order Notifications & Abandoned Cart Recovery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass leading to Account Takeover in all versions up to, and including, 3.9.7 via the `billing_phone` parameter. This is due to the `processRegistration()` function using a phone-unbound `$_SESSION['sa_mobile_verified']` boolean flag as the sole gate before issuing an authentication cookie — the flag is set to `true` after any successful OTP validation without being bound to the specific phone number that was verified. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to complete OTP verification for a phone number they control, then resubmit the registration request with a victim's `billing_phone` value to have `wp_set_auth_cookie()` called for the resolved victim account, enabling full authentication as any existing WordPress user whose registered phone number is known or guessable, including administrators.

The SMS Alert – SMS & OTP for WooCommerce, Order Notifications & Abandoned Cart Recovery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation via account takeover in all versions up to, and including, 3.9.5. This is due to the plugin not properly validating a user's identity prior to updating their details like reset the password of any user account, including administrators, and gain full access to those accounts. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to change arbitrary user's email addresses, including administrators, and leverage that to reset the user's password and gain access to their account. This is only vulnerable on sites with OTP verification for password resets enabled, and where the administrator (or other user) has set a phone number for OTP verification.
