Adminer 4.16.0 through 6.0.1 contain a pre-authentication Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the optional Elasticsearch driver (plugins/drivers/elastic.php), fixed in 6.0.2. Because adminer/include/auth.inc.php invokes Driver::connect() before the login result is validated, an unauthenticated attacker who submits crafted auth[server], auth[username], and auth[password] parameters can cause the Adminer server to issue an HTTP GET request (via get_url()/file_get_contents()) to an arbitrary reachable host and port. The driver validates only general server syntax and does not block loopback, private, link-local, or other reserved addresses; if no port is given it appends the default 9200, and Adminer's generic port check rejects ports below 1024. Selected JSON error fields from non-2xx Elasticsearch-style responses, as well as connection failures, are rendered on the login page, providing a port-scanning oracle and enabling internal network reconnaissance and service fingerprinting. Exploitation requires that the optional Elasticsearch driver be explicitly deployed (e.g., via the adminer/elastic.php template or an adminer_object() configuration; it is not loaded in a d

  • Aug 4, 2026In Eclipse Jetty, the Digest authentication server-side component uses ISO-8859-1 to encode the password as bytes.CVE-2026-10050 · Other software · Eclipse Foundation · reported by emo@eclipse.orgHigh 8.7

In Eclipse Jetty, the Digest authentication server-side component uses ISO-8859-1 to encode the password as bytes. This was done because the initial specification for HTTP did not specify explicitly a charset, and it was assumed to be ISO-8859-1 for historical reasons. If the password contains characters that cannot be represented in ISO-8859-1, they are silently replaced by `?`. This happens with passwords that contain Chinese, Cyrillic or Greek characters, for example: `αβ123` converts to `??123`. An attacker can send a request with a digest `Authorization` header crafted with a password made of only `?` characters; the server would match any password of the same length that contains non-ISO-8859-1 characters. Recent HTTP Digest [RFC-7616](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc7616) supports a `charset` parameters that defaults to UTF-8 that allows for correct encoding/decoding of passwords.

  • Mar 17, 2025Agate is central authentication server software for OBiBa epidemiology applications.CVE-2025-27102 · Other software · obiba · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

Agate is central authentication server software for OBiBa epidemiology applications. Prior to version 3.3.0, when registering for an Agate account, arbitrary HTML code can be injected into a user's first and last name. This HTML is then rendered in the email sent to administrative users. The Agate service account sends this email and appears trustworthy, making this a significant risk for phishing attacks. Administrative users are impacted, as they can be targeted by unauthenticated users. Version 3.3.0 fixes the issue.

Lif Authentication Server is a server used by Lif to do various tasks regarding Lif accounts. This vulnerability has to do with the account recovery system where there does not appear to be a check to make sure the user has been sent the recovery email and entered the correct code. If the attacker knew the email of the target, they could supply the email and immediately prompt the server to update the password without ever needing the code. This issue has been patched in version 1.7.3.

  • Jul 1, 2024trunk.cocoapods.org is the authentication server for the CoacoaPods dependency manager.CVE-2024-38368 · Other software · CocoaPods · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3

trunk.cocoapods.org is the authentication server for the CoacoaPods dependency manager. A vulnerability affected older pods which migrated from the pre-2014 pull request workflow to trunk. If the pods had never been claimed then it was still possible to do so. It was also possible to have all owners removed from a pod, and that made the pod available for the same claiming system. This was patched server-side in commit 71be5440906b6bdfbc0bcc7f8a9fec33367ea0f4 in September 2023.

trunk.cocoapods.org is the authentication server for the CoacoaPods dependency manager. Prior to commit d4fa66f49cedab449af9a56a21ab40697b9f7b97, the trunk sessions verification step could be manipulated for owner session hijacking Compromising a victim’s session will result in a full takeover of the CocoaPods trunk account. The threat actor could manipulate their pod specifications, disrupt the distribution of legitimate libraries, or cause widespread disruption within the CocoaPods ecosystem. • Jul 1, 2024trunk.cocoapods.org is the authentication server for the CoacoaPods dependency manager.CVE-2024-38366 · Other software · CocoaPods · reported by GitHubCritical 10

trunk.cocoapods.org is the authentication server for the CoacoaPods dependency manager. The part of trunk which verifies whether a user has a real email address on signup used a rfc-822 library which executes a shell command to validate the email domain MX records validity. It works via an DNS MX. This lookup could be manipulated to also execute a command on the trunk server, effectively giving root access to the server and the infrastructure. This issue was patched server-side with commit 001cc3a430e75a16307f5fd6cdff1363ad2f40f3 in September 2023. This RCE triggered a full user-session reset, as an attacker could have used this method to write to any Podspec in trunk.
