Snipe-IT before 8.7.0 contains a missing encryption vulnerability in Api\AssetsController::store that writes plaintext into encrypted-flagged custom-field columns when callers lack assets.view.encrypted_custom_fields. Authenticated API users without that permission can create assets whose sensitive custom-field values persist unencrypted in the database, exposing them through backups, replicas, or direct database access.

Creating a draft release through the API returned an `assets` list that was built from a release without an ID, which matched every attachment that was not linked to a release. A user who could create a draft release in a repository therefore received the metadata (file name, UUID, upload time, size and download count) of issue and comment attachments of repositories they could not read, and of abandoned uploads.

  • Sep 21, 2026Apache Airflow's `/assets/events` API returned asset events for every Dag in the deployment, with no filter restricting them to the Dags the caller is authorizeCVE-2026-75158 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 4.3

Apache Airflow's `/assets/events` API returned asset events for every Dag in the deployment, with no filter restricting them to the Dags the caller is authorized to read. Any authenticated user holding asset-read access could therefore enumerate asset events — including the source Dag ID, task ID, run ID and event timestamps — for Dags they have no permission to see. Because the filter was also absent from the count query, `total_entries` and pagination disclosed the existence of hidden Dags even without inspecting individual rows. Deployments are affected whenever per-Dag access control is used to separate teams or tenants; no special configuration is required. Upgrade to apache-airflow 3.3.2 or later.

  • Sep 16, 2026Apache NiFi 2.9.0 through 2.11.0 provide Connector configuration update and verification REST API methods that do not enforce authorization checking on Assets aCVE-2026-81866 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgLow 0.5

Apache NiFi 2.9.0 through 2.11.0 provide Connector configuration update and verification REST API methods that do not enforce authorization checking on Assets and Secrets referenced in proposed configuration. Updating or verifying a Connector configuration step can apply Asset and Secret references, but framework authorization was limited to write privileges on the Connector itself. As a result of the missing authorization, an authenticated user authorized to modify a Connector, but not authorized to read a referenced Parameter Provider, could apply Secret values backed by that Parameter Provider. The same methods also accepted Asset identifiers without verifying that the Asset belonged to the Connector being configured. Apache NiFi installations that do not implement different levels of authorization across Connectors and Parameter Providers are not subject to this vulnerability, because the framework enforces write permissions on the Connector as the security boundary. Upgrading to Apache NiFi 2.12.0 is the recommended mitigation, which authorizes read access to referenced Parameter Providers and verifies Connector ownership of referenced Assets during configuration update and ve

  • Sep 11, 2026Shelf is a platform for tracking physical assets.CVE-2026-54166 · Other software · Shelf-nu · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

Shelf is a platform for tracking physical assets. Prior to version 1.20.3, authenticated users with the `asset:import` permission can trigger server-side HTTP requests to attacker-controlled URLs through the Asset CSV Content Import feature. The `imageUrl` validation logic can be bypassed through multiple techniques, including image-extension suffixes, image-related path keywords, domain substring matching, and redirect chains. After validation, the server performs an unrestricted `fetch()` request to the supplied URL. This results in a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability that allows attackers to reach internal network services, cloud metadata endpoints, and arbitrary external hosts from the application's network context. Additionally, response bodies are fully buffered before size validation, creating a potential memory exhaustion vector. Version 1.20.3 patches the issue.

  • Sep 11, 2026AVideo through 29.0 contains an insecure direct object reference (IDOR) vulnerability in objects/categoryDeleteAssets.json.php.CVE-2026-89257 · Other software · WWBN · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3

AVideo through 29.0 contains an insecure direct object reference (IDOR) vulnerability in objects/categoryDeleteAssets.json.php. The endpoint validates only the Category::canCreateCategory() capability and a CSRF nonce before passing the attacker-supplied $_REQUEST['id'] to Category::deleteAssets(), which recursively removes {systemRootPath}videos/categories/assets/{id}/. It omits the Category::userCanEditCategory() ownership check enforced by the sibling Category::delete(). On installations where the non-default usersCanCreateNewCategories setting is enabled, an authenticated non-admin user with the canUpload capability can send a POST request with an arbitrary category ID and recursively delete any category's on-disk asset directory (icons/images). Category records and videos are not deleted. As of the advisory publication no patched version was available.

  • Sep 9, 2026Snipe-IT through 8.6.3 does not neutralize formula elements in the "unaccepted assets" acceptance report CSV export.CVE-2026-86742 · Other software · grokability · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.1

Snipe-IT through 8.6.3 does not neutralize formula elements in the "unaccepted assets" acceptance report CSV export. ReportsController::postAssetAcceptanceReport builds the CSV by hand (stripping commas and joining rows manually) and, unlike the six sibling exports in the same controller, never applies League\Csv\EscapeFormula or honors the config('app.escape_formulas') setting. An authenticated low-privilege user with ordinary create/edit rights on any record whose free-text fields appear in the report (asset name/tag, company name, category, model, or assignee display name) can set such a field to a value beginning with =, +, -, @, tab, or CR. When a user with reports.view privileges requests the export (POST /reports/unaccepted_assets) for a pending checkout acceptance referencing the poisoned record and opens the resulting CSV in Excel, LibreOffice Calc, or Google Sheets, the injected content is evaluated as a formula in the downloader's spreadsheet context, enabling data exfiltration (e.g., HYPERLINK/WEBSERVICE) or, on legacy Windows Excel configurations, DDE command execution. Apache Airflow's asset materialization endpoint (`POST /api/v2/assets/{asset_id}/materialize`) and the XCom result check on `wait_dag_run_until_finished` authorized the target Dag without its team, unlike every other authorization site. A team-aware auth manager distinguishes a team-scoped Dag from a global one by that field -- the Keycloak auth manager, for example, checks the `DAG` resource instead of `DAG:<team>` -- so the team-scoped permission that should gate the request was never consulted. In a deployment running multi-team mode with a team-aware auth manager, an authenticated user in one team could trigger Dag runs belonging to another team, supplying their own `dag_run_id` and `conf`, and could read another team's XCom values. Deployments using the FAB auth manager are unaffected, as it has no multi-team support. Users are advised to upgrade to apache-airflow 3.3.1 or later, which resolves the Dag's team at both sites.

  • Jul 21, 2026Shelf is a platform for tracking physical assets.CVE-2026-47697 · Other software · Shelf-nu · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

Shelf is a platform for tracking physical assets. Shelf is multi-tenant; data is isolated per organization (workspace). Prior to version 1.20.2, several endpoints accepted entity IDs from request input and `connect`-ed / read / updated them without verifying the IDs belonged to the caller's organization. An authenticated user in Org A who knew or obtained an ID belonging to Org B could act on Org B's data across organization boundaries (a cross-tenant IDOR). A loader-only restriction on personal-workspace bookings was also bypassable via a crafted POST. Version 1.20.2 patches the issue. No known workarounds are available.

Craft CMS versions >= 5.0.0-RC1, <= 5.9.13 and >= 4.0.0-RC1, <= 4.17.7 contain an authorization bypass in the assets/preview-file endpoint. The action does not enforce per-asset view authorization before returning preview content, allowing an authenticated low-privileged user to supply a controlled assetId for an asset they are not permitted to view and still receive preview response data (previewHtml), including a private preview image route containing the target private assetId. Fixed in 5.9.14 and 4.17.8.

Craft CMS contains a missing authorization vulnerability in the assets/preview-thumb endpoint. A Control Panel user without permission to view a target private asset can call the endpoint with an attacker-controlled assetId and receive preview HTML containing a signed fallback transform preview link for that private asset, because no asset-view permission check is performed before preview generation. This affects versions >= 4.0.0-RC1, <= 4.17.7 and >= 5.0.0-RC1, <= 5.9.13, and is fixed in 4.17.8 and 5.9.14.

  • May 7, 2026Dagster is an orchestration platform for the development, production, and observation of data assets.CVE-2026-41490 · Other software · dagster-io · reported by GitHubHigh 8.3

Dagster is an orchestration platform for the development, production, and observation of data assets. Prior to Dagster Core version 1.13.1 and prior to Dagster libraries version 0.29.1, the DuckDB, Snowflake, BigQuery, and DeltaLake I/O managers constructed SQL WHERE clauses by interpolating dynamic partition key values into queries without escaping. A user with the Add Dynamic Partitions permission could create a partition key that injects arbitrary SQL, which would execute against the target database backend under the I/O manager's credentials. Only deployments that use dynamic partitions are affected. Pipelines using static or time-window partitions are not impacted. This issue has been patched in Dagster Core version 1.13.1 and Dagster libraries version 0.29.1.

  • Apr 16, 2026The Silverstripe Assets Module is a required component of Silverstripe Framework.CVE-2026-24749 · Other software · silverstripe · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

The Silverstripe Assets Module is a required component of Silverstripe Framework. In versions prior to 2.4.5 and 3.0.0-rc1 through 3.1.2, images rendered in templates or otherwise accessed via DBFile::getURL() or DBFile::getSourceURL() incorrectly add an access grant to the current session, which bypasses file permissions. This usually happens when creating an image variant, for example using a manipulation method like ScaleWidth() or Convert(). Note that if developers use DBFile directly in the $db configuration for a DataObject class that doesn't subclass File, and if they were setting the visibility of those files to "protected", those files will now need an explicit access grant to be accessed. If developers do not want to explicitly provide access grants for these files in their apps (i.e. they want these files to be accessible by default), they should use the "public" visibility. This issue has been fixed in versions 2.4.5 and 3.1.3.

  • Feb 21, 2026Static Web Server (SWS) is a production-ready web server suitable for static web files or assets.CVE-2026-27480 · Other software · static-web-server · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Static Web Server (SWS) is a production-ready web server suitable for static web files or assets. In versions 2.1.0 through 2.40.1, a timing-based username enumeration vulnerability in Basic Authentication allows attackers to identify valid users by exploiting early responses for invalid usernames, enabling targeted brute-force or credential-stuffing attacks. SWS checks whether a username exists before verifying the password, causing valid usernames to follow a slower code path (e.g., bcrypt hashing) while invalid usernames receive an immediate 401 response. This timing discrepancy allows attackers to enumerate valid accounts by measuring response-time differences. This issue has been fixed in version 2.41.0.

  • Dec 9, 2025Static Web Server (SWS) is a production-ready web server suitable for static web files or assets.CVE-2025-67487 · Other software · static-web-server · reported by GitHubMedium 5.5

Static Web Server (SWS) is a production-ready web server suitable for static web files or assets. Versions 2.40.0 and below contain symbolic links (symlinks) which can be used to access files or directories outside the intended web root folder. SWS generally does not prevent symlinks from escaping the web server’s root directory. Therefore, if a malicious actor gains access to the web server’s root directory, they could create symlinks to access other files outside the designated web root folder either by URL or via the directory listing. This issue is fixed in version 2.40.1.
