  • Oct 14, 2026Gravitee API Management through 4.12.22 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to impersonate any user by CVE-2020-37281 · Other software · Gravitee · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.2

Gravitee API Management through 4.12.22 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to impersonate any user by forging JWTs signed with the shipped default jwt.secret. Attackers knowing an existing user ID can sign an HS256 token with that subject and present it as a bearer token to the Management API, impersonating administrators to gain full platform control.

An OS command injection vulnerability exists in the REST API management interface of Brocade Fabric OS versions before 9.2.2d and 10.0.0 through 10.0.0a1 allows an authenticated, high-privileged remote attacker to execute arbitrary system commands with root permissions. An attacker with administrative privileges to configure SSH known host settings can supply specially crafted parameter values containing shell metacharacters to trigger command execution on the host system.

  • Oct 7, 2026Multiple stack-based buffer overflow vulnerabilities exist in the REST API management component of Brocade Fabric OS versions prior to 10.0.1.CVE-2026-87683 · Other software · Brocade · reported by sirt@brocade.comHigh 8.6

Multiple stack-based buffer overflow vulnerabilities exist in the REST API management component of Brocade Fabric OS versions prior to 10.0.1. When processing API request payloads (such as device configuration attributes or port mapping requests) the REST API service fails to properly validate incoming array counts and string lengths against internal buffer capacities. An authenticated attacker with REST API access can transmit crafted, oversized request parameters to induce memory corruption on the execution stack. This may result in a denial-of-service condition (daemon crash) or potential arbitrary code execution within the management process context.

In Microsoft Azure API Management through 2025-10-17, when self-service signup (username/password Basic Authentication) is enabled in Tenant A, an attacker can reuse the registration flow by changing the hostname or tenant identifier to Tenant B, even when Tenant B has signup disabled at the UI level. In other words, disabling signup in the UI does not disable the underlying API endpoint (which still accepts cross-tenant requests based on the Host header). NOTE: The supplier states that they evaluated the report and determined it did not cross a security boundary (i.e., the observed behavior was a configuration/state issue rather than an exploitable product vulnerability affecting tenant isolation). • Oct 24, 2024A flaw was found in Gateway.CVE-2024-10295 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.5

A flaw was found in Gateway. Sending a non-base64 'basic' auth with special characters can cause APICast to incorrectly authenticate a request. A malformed basic authentication header containing special characters bypasses authentication and allows unauthorized access to the backend. This issue can occur due to a failure in the base64 decoding process, which causes APICast to skip the rest of the authentication checks and proceed with routing the request upstream.

  • Apr 26, 2023ESPv2 is a service proxy that provides API management capabilities using Google Service Infrastructure.CVE-2023-30845 · Computers, phones & browsers · GoogleCloudPlatform · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

ESPv2 is a service proxy that provides API management capabilities using Google Service Infrastructure. ESPv2 2.20.0 through 2.42.0 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability. API clients can craft a malicious `X-HTTP-Method-Override` header value to bypass JWT authentication in specific cases. ESPv2 allows malicious requests to bypass authentication if both the conditions are true: The requested HTTP method is **not** in the API service definition (OpenAPI spec or gRPC `google.api.http` proto annotations, and the specified `X-HTTP-Method-Override` is a valid HTTP method in the API service definition. ESPv2 will forward the request to your backend without checking the JWT. Attackers can craft requests with a malicious `X-HTTP-Method-Override` value that allows them to bypass specifying JWTs. Restricting API access with API keys works as intended and is not affected by this vulnerability. Upgrade deployments to release v2.43.0 or higher to receive a patch. This release ensures that JWT authentication occurs, even when the caller specifies `x-http-method-override`. `x-http-method-override` is still supported by v2.43.0+. API clients can continue sending this header to ESPv2.

  • Mar 27, 2023Apiman is a flexible and open source API Management platform.CVE-2023-28640 · Other software · apiman · reported by GitHubMedium 6.4

Apiman is a flexible and open source API Management platform. Due to a missing permissions check, an attacker with an authenticated Apiman Manager account may be able to gain access to API keys they do not have permission for if they correctly guess the URL, which includes Organisation ID, Client ID, and Client Version of the targeted non-permitted resource. While not trivial to exploit, it could be achieved by brute-forcing or guessing common names. Access to the non-permitted API Keys could allow use of other users' resources without their permission (depending on the specifics of configuration, such as whether an API key is the only form of security). Apiman 3.1.0.Final resolved this issue. Users are advised to upgrade. The only known workaround is to restrict account access.
