Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Fix the bypass dispatch claim for schedulers bypassed by an ancestor scx_bypassCVE-2026-99104 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Fix the bypass dispatch claim for schedulers bypassed by an ancestor scx_bypass() claims bypass dispatch when the scheduler's depth goes from zero to one and releases it when the depth returns to zero, but propagates only the depth to the descendants, not the claim. A descendant that starts bypassing with its ancestor never claims, and one whose own bypass ends under the ancestor's keeps its claim, as its depth does not return to zero. A sub-scheduler enable whose bypass ends under a PM suspend thus leaks its claim: the parent keeps hosting bypass dispatch and the sub-scheduler's next bypass trips the WARN_ON_ONCE() on the claim. A sub-scheduler disable that starts under a PM suspend has no claim, so once the resume lifts the root's bypass its tasks sit on the parent's bypass DSQs with nobody consuming them. Claim for every descendant whose depth goes from zero to one in the propagation and release every scheduler in the subtree whose depth returned to zero once the tasks have moved out of the bypass DSQs. A parent that is bypassing itself when a descendant claims consumes only its own bypass DSQs, e

Psono Server versions 5.3.5 through 7.2.3 used a permission class that did not enforce token write scope when claiming a device code. An authenticated remote attacker holding a restricted API key-derived session could claim an attacker-controlled device code and obtain a full read-write session valid for up to 365 days, bypassing the original token's scope and lifetime restrictions. This did not bypass two-factor authentication or directly disclose plaintext secrets.

Oct 21, 2026Apache Pulsar's MultiRolesTokenAuthorizationProvider authorizes a client with all roles listed in a claim of its JSON Web Token (JWT).CVE-2026-105869 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.2
Apache Pulsar's MultiRolesTokenAuthorizationProvider authorizes a client with all roles listed in a claim of its JSON Web Token (JWT). The provider is intended for use with token authentication, which verifies the token before authorization. The provider did not verify the token itself: it parsed the token's claims with the signature removed and trusted that authentication had already checked it. When authentication and authorization are enabled with a non-empty anonymousUserRole setting, some HTTP requests whose credentials fail authentication are not rejected, but are handled as requests of the anonymous user role. For the broker's HTTP endpoints, such as the admin REST API, this fallback applies to requests that do not name an authentication method and requires strictAuthMethod to be false (the default) where that setting is available. For the WebSocket API, failed credentials can also fall back to the anonymous user role; this path does not enforce strictAuthMethod. The authentication data kept for such a request still contained the request's Authorization header. MultiRolesTokenAuthorizationProvider then read the bearer token from that header without verifying its signature a

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_api: reclaim an empty proto on the error path Two racing tc filter add requests on the same chain/prio of an unlocked classifier both run change() on the shared proto and both can fail: the winner's tcf_chain_tp_delete_empty() attempt gives up because the loser's handle is still in the idr, and the loser's error path drops only its own reference without a second reclamation attempt. The empty proto stays linked in the chain, holding the chain reference, a block reference and the classifier module reference until the chain or block is torn down. Reclaim the proto on the error path of any failed request that holds a proto reference. The reclamation is emptiness-gated: tcf_chain_tp_delete_empty() unlinks the proto only when delete_empty() admits it is empty, so a live shared proto is never unlinked. A proto the request created is reclaimed unconditionally - it is the only owner, so marking it for deletion is safe even without a delete_empty callback. Classifiers without one (the check marks the proto unconditionally) are rtnl-serialized, so the raced window this guard closes cannot arise for them. T

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: buffer: serialize buffer teardown with mode claims Buffer-mode claims hold mlock to gCVE-2026-98669 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: buffer: serialize buffer teardown with mode claims Buffer-mode claims hold mlock to guarantee that the device remains in buffer mode until the claim is released. Normal buffer updates take info_exist_lock followed by mlock in iio_update_buffers(). However, iio_device_unregister() disables and deactivates all buffers without taking mlock. This can invalidate buffer state, including active_scan_mask, while a buffer-mode claim is held. Take mlock in iio_disable_all_buffers() so that unregister honors the mode-claim lifetime guarantee. The info_exist_lock -> mlock ordering matches iio_update_buffers().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Close the pre-enable ops error claim window scx_alloc_and_add_sched() publishes ops->priv before scx_root_enable_workfn() switches the state to SCX_ENABLING. An error claimed via scx_bpf_error_bstr() from an associated BPF program in that window is consumed by scx_disable_workfn(), which takes the pre-enable shortcut in scx_root_disable(). The shortcut returns without any teardown and restores SCX_DISABLED with an unconditional scx_set_enable_state() xchg racing the enable workfn's own transition. The enable then completes with the claim consumed: the scheduler stays up but can never be disabled again, and bpf_scx_unreg() frees it while still in use, resulting in a use-after-free. Both WARN_ON_ONCE()s fire back to back: WARNING: kernel/sched/ext/ext.c:7522 at scx_root_enable_workfn+0xeec/0x1be0, CPU#3: scx_enable_help/276 WARNING: kernel/sched/ext/ext.c:6398 at scx_root_disable+0xb50/0xdb8, CPU#0: sched_ext_helpe/664 scx_root_enable_workfn() switches to SCX_ENABLING before the scheduler allocation, so ops->priv is never visible while SCX_DISABLED. Oct 1, 2026figlet.js is a FIG driver written in JavaScript that aims to implement the FIGfont specification.CVE-2026-96780 · Other software · patorjk · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2
figlet.js is a FIG driver written in JavaScript that aims to implement the FIGfont specification. Prior to 1.11.3, text() and textSync() can enter an unbounded loop when whitespaceBreak is enabled and width is smaller than the rendered width of a single FIGlet character. Under these conditions, breakWord() cannot find a valid break point and returns without consuming a character, so generateFigTextLines() repeatedly processes the same input while consuming CPU and growing memory. The non-default option and attacker-controlled width must both reach an affected call. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.3.

hey, `_nx_snmp_utility_object_id_get` in the NetX Duo SNMP addon does not validate the claimed OID data length against the actual buffer size when the OID uses BER multibyte length encoding, so a remote attacker can send a crafted SNMP packet with a multibyte OID length larger than the available buffer, causing the parser to read past the packet buffer boundary into adjacent heap memory. the OOB bytes are decoded as OID component values and written into the agents internal OID string buffer, corrupting agent state. on systems with memory protection the OOB read poses the risk of crashing the SNMP agent thread, causing denial of service. on bare metal embedded systems without memory protection the read silently succeeds and corrupts the agents internal state with heap data.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: ahci: fail probe if BAR too small for claimed ports When an AHCI controller is disabled in BIOS, its HOST_CAP register may contain a bogus value, e.g. 0xFFFFFFFF. Since CAP.NP (Number of Ports) is a zeroes based 5-bit register field, a value of 0x1f means 32 ports. If CAP.NP claims more ports than can physically fit within the mapped BAR region, accessing port registers beyond the BAR boundary causes a kernel panic. Add validation in ahci_init_one() to check that the BAR size is sufficient for the number of ports claimed in CAP.NP. The check calculates the required MMIO size as: required_size = 0x100 (global registers) + max_ports * 0x80 If required_size exceeds the actual BAR size, the probe fails with -ENODEV, preventing the panic and providing a clear error message. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: bla: avoid CRC corruption due to parallel claim add batadv_bla_add_claim() is used to add claims and modify the backbone of claims for CLAIM frames from remote backbones and local packets. When it handles a claim, it needs to either * add the new claim's CRC to the backbone CRC * remove the already existing claim's CRC from the old backbone and add it to the new backbone But when the "new" claim code was running in parallel to the "change backbone" code, it can happen that the CRC was invalid because the backbone_gw of the claim was changed twice in the "new" claim code path: * CPU0 creates the claim for gateway A and publishes it in the claim hash. The crc16 of the address has not yet been added to A's crc at this point. * CPU1 processes a claim frame of gateway B for the same client, finds the just published claim, and performs the ownership change: it switches the pointer to B, removes the crc16 from A's crc - which never contained it - and adds it to B's crc. * CPU0 continues behind the creation branch, unconditionally switches the pointer back to A without compensating B's crc

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: ufs: core: Avoid possible memory reclaim deadlock in TX EQTR context TX EQTR may run while devfreq gear scaling has quiesced the UFS tagset. In that context, functions ufshcd_tx_eqtr(), __ufshcd_tx_eqtr() and ufs_qcom_get_rx_fom() allocate memory with GFP_KERNEL. If direct reclaim is triggered, reclaim/writeback can depend on I/O to UFS device. Because the queue is quiesced, this can cause deadlock. Use memalloc_noio_save/restore() in ufshcd_tx_eqtr() to cover all allocations in the TX EQTR call tree, including: - params->eqtr_record in ufshcd_tx_eqtr() - eqtr_data in __ufshcd_tx_eqtr() - params in ufs_qcom_get_rx_fom() This is preferred over tagging individual call sites with GFP_NOIO, as it automatically covers any future allocations added anywhere in the call tree without requiring each caller to be aware of this constraint. And since batadv_bla_free() is always setting it to NULL before it is (indirectly) called, it was never actually executed. But the batadv_bla_purge_claims() -> batadv_handle_unclaim() is at the moment too fragile because the BLA code is not handling the rehashing in batadv_bla_update_orig_address(). The stored backbone address doesn't have to be the one actually used for the hash bucket selection during the initial adding of the backbone. The batadv_handle_unclaim() can therefore fail to find the respective backbone for the unclaim and then stop the deletion. But the actual backbone_gw object is not needed for the unclaim because all relevant information is always provided by the caller. And the check for the existence of the backbone_gw doesn't provide any additional security check for the deletion of a claim.

Sep 16, 2026Apache Airflow FAB provider: the Authentik OAuth path in the FAB auth manager does not validate the issuer or audience claims of the id_token it accepts.CVE-2026-86466 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 8.1
Apache Airflow FAB provider: the Authentik OAuth path in the FAB auth manager does not validate the issuer or audience claims of the id_token it accepts. An attacker holding a token that the same Authentik identity provider minted for a different client application can present it to Airflow and be authenticated as the user it names, because the audience claim is never checked. Affects deployments using the FAB auth manager with Authentik OAuth where the same Authentik instance also serves other applications; the attacker needs a valid token for any of those other applications, not for Airflow. CVE-2026-75156 corrected the same missing validation on the Azure AD path in this file; the Authentik path was left unchanged and is fixed here. Deployments that applied the CVE-2026-75156 fix and use Authentik must also upgrade for this one. Users of apache-airflow-providers-fab are recommended to upgrade to version 3.9.0 or later, which fixes the issue.

`tts-be` is a backend for a timetable selector that aims to help students better choose their class schedules. Versions prior to 2.1.0 have a Broken Access Control vulnerability across several API endpoints (such as `/api/student/{id}/photo` and `/api/course_unit/{id}/exchange/metadata`). By chaining these unauthenticated endpoints, a remote attacker can use the backend as an open proxy to bypass authorization checks, allowing for the enumeration and extraction of sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from upstream university systems. The exposed data includes full names, student IDs, class schedules, and photos. This issue was fixed in version 2.1.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: memcg: stop reclaim when a limit update is superseded kernfs serializes file operations only per open file, so separate open files can update the same memory.high or memory.max file concurrently. Both handlers store the new limit before synchronous reclaim, but continue to use the writer's local target in the reclaim loop. If another writer raises or removes the limit, the first writer can continue reclaiming toward a stale target. For memory.max, this can leave the writer looping indefinitely once reclaim retries are exhausted. The OOM path sees sufficient margin under the current limit and returns true without killing, while the writer still compares usage against its stale target and records another OOM event. Check the current limit at the start of each reclaim iteration and stop if it no longer matches the writer's target. Reproducer: Populate a cgroup with anonymous memory and disable swapping. Lower memory.max from one open file, then restore it to "max" through another open file after the new limit becomes visible. Without the patch, the first writer remains blocked and repeatedly increments

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix clock domain mismatch in clients_still_reclaiming() clients_still_reclaiming() computes a deadline from nn->boot_time (CLOCK_REALTIME, ~1.7 billion) but compares it against ktime_get_boottime_seconds() (CLOCK_BOOTTIME, seconds since boot). The comparison is always false — it would take ~54 years of uptime for BOOTTIME to exceed the REALTIME-derived deadline. This means any client can hold the server in grace indefinitely by sending CLAIM_PREVIOUS OPEN requests, blocking all non-reclaim operations for all other clients. Add boot_time_bt (CLOCK_BOOTTIME) alongside the existing boot_time and use it for the deadline computation. boot_time (CLOCK_REALTIME) is preserved for its cl_boot clientid-nonce role.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: do not repeat ceph_trim_dentries() if no progress possible ceph_cap_reclaim_work() re-queues itself for as long as ceph_trim_dentries() returns -EAGAIN, which happens whenever a lease walk exhausts its `nr_to_scan` budget. This creates a busy loop that consumes CPU without making any progress when there is nothing to reclaim: with no cap pressure (`count==0`) and every scanned lease still valid, each pass runs the full scan budget down to zero and returns `-EAGAIN`, only to be queued again immediately. The dir-lease walk made this worse. When `expire_dir_lease` is `false` (i.e. we have no intention of reclaiming dir leases), __dir_lease_check() returned `TOUCH` for every valid lease. `TOUCH` moves the dentry to the tail of the list and resets `di->time` via __dentry_dir_lease_touch(), so a walk over N valid leases pointlessly rewrote the list, refreshed the timestamps (preventing them from ever aging out) and always drained `nr_to_scan`, guaranteeing the `-EAGAIN` requeue. Fix this in three steps: - Return `KEEP` instead of `TOUCH` when `expire_dir_lease` is `false`. If we are not going to reclai

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: selinux: reject an unclaimed class value in security_get_classes() security_get_classes() sizes an array by p_classes.nprim and fills it at value - 1, so a class value the policy never defines leaves a NULL. sel_make_classes() passes every entry to sel_make_dir(), reaching the same d_alloc_name() dereference as the permission array. The class symbol table is allowed to be sparse (policydb_class_isvalid() exists to absorb that), but this getter builds its own array straight from the hash table and has no such predicate. Fail the lookup when a value went unclaimed instead of handing out the NULL. Conforming policies define every class they declare and are unaffected.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: magicmouse: do not keep a stale msc->input if no input is claimed magicmouse_input_mapping() caches the first hid_input's input_dev in msc->input while the report descriptor is parsed, and the rest of the driver treats a non-NULL msc->input as proof that an input device was registered. That does not hold on the hid-input error path. If hidinput_connect() fails -- for instance because input_register_device() returns an error -- it unwinds through hidinput_disconnect(), which frees every input_dev it created, including the one cached in msc->input. The failure does not abort the probe. hid_connect() only skips the claim: if ((connect_mask & HID_CONNECT_HIDINPUT) && !hidinput_connect(hdev, connect_mask & HID_CONNECT_HIDINPUT_FORCE)) hdev->claimed |= HID_CLAIMED_INPUT; and the "device has no listeners" bailout below it does not fire for this driver, which sets ->raw_event; on the USB Magic Mouse 2 / Magic Trackpad 2 paths hidraw and hiddev are claimed as well. hid_hw_start() therefore returns 0 and magicmouse_probe() continues with msc->input pointing at freed memory. Being non-NULL, it passes the "in

Boruta is a standalone authorization server that aims to implement OAuth 2.0 and Openid Connect up to decentralized identity specifications. Prior to version 0.10.0, BorutaIdentityWeb.UserSettingsController.update/2 atomizes every key of the user-supplied request body via String.to_atom/1 before any validation. Because String.to_atom interns atoms permanently in the BEAM atom table (default cap 1,048,576 atoms; ERL_MAX_ATOMS), any authenticated end user can send PUT /users/settings with a user[<fresh-key>]=... body containing fresh keys per request and exhaust the global VM atom table. Once the table is full, the BEAM aborts with no more index entries in atom_tab and the entire OIDC server (auth, admin, gateway apps in the umbrella) crashes. The route is protected only by require_authenticated_user and a per-IP rate limit of 10 requests/second; a logged-in end user can hit it. The keys are atomized unconditionally before the downstream Accounts.update_user/6 call, so even failing updates contribute to exhaustion. This issue has been patched in version 0.10.0.

An attacker that holds a token intended for a different purpose can authenticate, because when an OAuth2 token response does not contain a scope claim, the audience claim is used in its place and checked against the configured required scopes. These are different concepts, and the audience claim does not describe what a token is allowed to do. A token that grants no relevant permissions can be accepted because its intended recipient value happens to match a configured scope name, granting access that should have been denied. It also hides an identity provider misconfiguration where scopes are not being issued at all. Ensure the identity provider issues a scope claim for all tokens used with Dovecot, and that configured scope names do not match audience values. Update to non-vulnerable version. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: fix incorrect flush address in direct page table reclaim When zap_pte_range reclaims a page table, it does: pte_free_tlb(tlb, pmd_pgtable(pmdval), addr); and this is unconditionally wrong: if this code executes, addr *always* points one past the end of the range covered by the table. The addr parameter is used to flush the TLB (really the paging-structure-cache) to drop references to the to-be-freed table, and any architecture that cares about the parameter will flush the wrong address. (But they'll still free the correct page). I think it's worth contemplating why the kernel works at all. If we hit the offending line of code, we will first clear the PMD entry (line 1954, zap_empty_pte_table), then we will issue pending flushes if force_flush is set (tlb_flush_mmu_tlbonly(tlb)), then we will skip the retry on line 1979 (phew!), and then we will do the offending pte_free_tlb call. *Or* we will clear the PMD entry immediately before pte_free_tlb (line 1983, zap_pte_table_if_empty). If we have any pending flushes (i.e. we actually zapped any last-level entries) at the time we clear the PMD entry, the

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xsk: reclaim invalid Tx descriptors in ZC batch path The zero-copy Tx batch parser stops when it encounters an invalid descriptor. If this happens after one or more continuation descriptors, the Tx consumer can be advanced past fragments that are neither submitted to the driver nor returned to userspace through the completion ring. A similar problem occurs when a packet exceeds xdp_zc_max_segs. The descriptors consumed up to the limit are released without completion, and the remaining continuation descriptors can subsequently be interpreted as the beginning of another packet. Parse Tx batches in packet units and distinguish descriptors belonging to complete valid packets from descriptors consumed while draining an invalid or oversized packet. Return the former to the driver and append the latter to the CQ address area so userspace can reclaim their UMEM frames. Treat a standalone invalid descriptor as a one-descriptor reclaim-only packet. Advancing the Tx-ring consumer releases the ring slot, but does not by itself return ownership of the referenced UMEM frame to userspace. Once draining starts, continue unti
