Oct 28, 2026Open Object provides an API and admin interface to manage objects and object types.CVE-2026-82411 · Other software · maykinmedia · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
Open Object provides an API and admin interface to manage objects and object types. From 2.4.3 until 2.5.1, 3.6.2, 4.0.2, and 4.1.1, a token scoped to read one ObjectType can read the full versioned record of an object of any other ObjectType via the history-detail endpoint `GET /api/v2/objects/{uuid}/{index}`. The `history_detail` action in `src/objects/api/v2/views.py` calls `self.get_queryset()` and `get_object_or_404` directly instead of `self.get_object()`, so `check_object_permissions` and the per-object check in `ObjectTypeBasedPermission.has_object_permission` are not invoked. The queryset's `filter_for_token` applies only to the list and search actions, while `ObjectTypeBasedPermission.has_permission` allows non-create actions, leaving neither check to constrain history-detail records to the token's permitted ObjectType. The normal retrieve endpoint returns 403 for the same unauthorized object, and the sibling history action enforces the grant. Any valid non-superuser API token with a read grant on at least one ObjectType can therefore disclose another ObjectType's complete versioned object `data`, which can include citizen or case records and sensitive identifiers in gove

Oct 28, 2026Happy DOM is a JavaScript implementation of a web browser without its graphical user interface.CVE-2026-118661 · Other software · capricorn86 · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
Happy DOM is a JavaScript implementation of a web browser without its graphical user interface. Prior to 20.14.6, Happy DOM's CookieContainer in src/cookie/CookieContainer.ts does not correctly validate or match Domain cookie attributes. It can accept a Domain unrelated to the origin setting the cookie, including a public suffix, and separately treats an unrelated suffix-sharing hostname as a match because cookieMatchesURL does not enforce a DNS-label boundary. In server-side rendering and prerendering applications that contact attacker-controlled origins and then make requests to a victim origin, these behaviors can plant and deliver a forged cookie, enabling cookie injection or session fixation. This issue is fixed in version 20.14.6.

Oct 28, 2026Happy DOM is a JavaScript implementation of a web browser without its graphical user interface.CVE-2026-118660 · Other software · capricorn86 · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6
Happy DOM is a JavaScript implementation of a web browser without its graphical user interface. Prior to 21.0.0, Happy DOM loads iframe src URLs and link rel="stylesheet" href URLs by default while parsing untrusted HTML on the server because disableIframePageLoading and disableCSSFileLoading default to false. An attacker who controls parsed HTML can therefore cause server-side requests to arbitrary internal or cloud endpoints without an application opt-in and may expose confidential responses or credentials returned by those endpoints. This issue is fixed in version 21.0.0.

Oct 28, 2026Happy DOM is a JavaScript implementation of a web browser without its graphical user interface.CVE-2026-118659 · Other software · capricorn86 · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
Happy DOM is a JavaScript implementation of a web browser without its graphical user interface. Prior to 21.0.2, the Happy DOM server-renderer package's ServerRendererServer accepts unauthenticated HTTP/2 requests and resolves attacker-controlled :path values against server.targetOrigin in #onIncomingRequest in packages/@happy-dom/server-renderer/src/ServerRendererServer.ts without confirming that the resolved origin remains trusted before calling fetch. A protocol-relative path can change the destination to an arbitrary HTTP or HTTPS endpoint reachable by the server, including local and internal services, and the proxy relays the fetched response headers and body to the requester. This issue is fixed in version 21.0.2.

Oct 28, 2026ethernet_fill_header() in subsys/net/l2/ethernet/ethernet.c can prepend the Ethernet header in place, by pushing it into the headroom of the packet's first fragCVE-2026-82962 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.5
ethernet_fill_header() in subsys/net/l2/ethernet/ethernet.c can prepend the Ethernet header in place, by pushing it into the headroom of the packet's first fragment, instead of allocating a separate header fragment. Before this fix the in-place path was selected purely from the build-time value of CONFIG_NET_L2_ETHERNET_RESERVE_HEADER, with no check that the packet actually has that headroom, and then called net_buf_push(pkt->buffer, hdr_len). Only Ethernet TX allocations reserve that space: net_pkt_alloc_buffer() invokes the L2 alloc hook (ethernet_l2_alloc()) only when is_pkt_tx() is true and the packet's interface is the Ethernet interface. A packet that was allocated by a different L2 and then handed to Ethernet for transmission therefore has too little (usually zero) headroom. Such packets are produced by ordinary routing and tunnelling paths: net_route_packet_if() re-targets a received packet to another interface when CONFIG_NET_IPV4_FORWARDING / CONFIG_NET_IPV6_FORWARDING are enabled (for example an 802.15.4/OpenThread or PPP interface forwarding to Wi-Fi/Ethernet), net_route_ipv6_mcast_forward_packet() forwards an RX-slab clone that carries no reserve, and the IPIP tunnel

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Drivers: hv: Don't reset VMBus connection state on error/exit paths In two places, currentCVE-2026-99216 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Drivers: hv: Don't reset VMBus connection state on error/exit paths In two places, current code forces vmbus_connection.conn_state to DISCONNECTED prior to calling vmbus_disconnect(). But vmbus_disconnect() calls vmbus_initiate_unload(), which unloads the VMBus connection only if the conn_state is CONNECTED. Consequently, the connection remains and the Hyper-V host might continue to send messages or post VMBus interrupts. The problem was introduced in commit 74347a99e73ae ("x86/Hyper-V: Unload vmbus channel in hv panic callback"), in that vmbus_initiate_unload() started checking the current connection state before doing the unload. This commit removed some occurrences where conn_state was forced to DISCONNECTED, but these two remained, apparently due to an oversight at the time. Fix this by not forcing conn_state to DISCONNECTED during VMBus exit, or if a failure occurs when establishing the connection in the first place. Whatever value conn_state has at the time is then read by vmbus_initiate_unload() to determine if there is a connection to be unloaded.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netlink: avoid hashing the network namespace pointer The netlink rhashtable key includes a raw struct net pointer and a user-controlled port ID. Both /proc/net/netlink and socket diagnostics expose the table's bucket order. By binding and rebinding chosen NETLINK_USERSOCK port IDs, an unprivileged reader can distinguish equal buckets and recover the low bits of the Jenkins hash. Its 32-bit seed and the limited set of kernel-image slides can then be searched offline to recover the address of init_net. Use the namespace's unique, non-address net_cookie in the comparison key instead. It is assigned before the per-net initializers run and remains unchanged for the namespace's lifetime. The lookup key and object hash are still built by netlink_compare_arg_init(), keeping lookup, insertion, removal and rehashing consistent while preserving namespace separation. Neither public table walker needs to change. Reading the socket's namespace cookie in netlink_compare() is safe under RCU, including during namespace teardown. netlink_release() removes the socket from the hash table and defers its final put with call_rcu(). c

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: mxc: fix race between chained IRQ handler install and probe completion mxc_update_irq_chained_handler() is called before the IRQ domain, the generic IRQ chip, and the port list entry are set up. If an interrupt arrives in that window: - mx3_gpio_irq_handler() calls generic_handle_domain_irq() with port->domain still NULL. - mx2_gpio_irq_handler() walks mxc_gpio_ports, but the port has not been added to the list yet. Additionally, if any of the subsequent probe steps (gpio_generic_chip_init(), devm_gpiochip_add_data(), irq_domain_create_legacy(), or mxc_gpio_init_gc()) fail, the error paths never unregister the chained handler, leaving a dangling handler that points at freed memory. Move the handler installation after all its dependencies are ready and after list_add_tail(), so the handler is never live while the data structures it touches are incomplete, and is never installed if probe fails.

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firewire: core: fix race condition in split transaction handling For a split transaction, CVE-2026-99185 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firewire: core: fix race condition in split transaction handling For a split transaction, either fw_core_handle_response() or split_transaction_timeout_callback() may manipulate the same transaction entry in the pending transaction list. The return value of timer_delete() is used to determine which function handles the entry. If the transaction is a split transaction and timer_delete() returns zero, the timeout callback may already be running. In this case, the response handler must leave the entry in the list for the timeout callback to remove. A previous code refactoring broke this behavior, introducing a race condition in which both functions could process the same transaction. This could lead to a use-after-free on the transaction initiator side. Fix the regression by ensuring that the response handler does not process the transaction when timer_delete() returns zero. The timeout callback is responsible for removing the entry from the pending transaction list.

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: autofs: ignore notification errors from a replaced pipe autofs_notify_daemon() takes a refCVE-2026-99181 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: autofs: ignore notification errors from a replaced pipe autofs_notify_daemon() takes a reference to the current notification pipe under wq_mutex, then drops the mutex before writing the request. The write can block while the daemon enters catatonic mode and installs a replacement pipe. If the old pipe's reader is then closed, the delayed write returns -EPIPE and the generic error path enters catatonic mode again. That transition acts on the current superblock state, closes the replacement pipe, and releases the new daemon generation's wait queues. Only enter catatonic mode when the pipe which failed is still the current pipe. Factor the already-locked transition so the identity check and state change are atomic with respect to another replacement. This was reproduced on v7.3-rc5-337-gff47652a4b66c in a local QEMU guest. An unprivileged UID 65534 lookup filled the old packet pipe before a normal CATATONIC/SETPIPEFD restart. On the unmodified kernel, the new pipe received HUP and both a pending victim lookup and a later lookup failed with ENOENT in two out of two fresh-mount runs. With this change, the new pipe

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: watch_queue: Fix note pool publication race in watch_queue_set_size() There is a race between watch_queue_set_size() and post_one_notification(). watch_queue_set_size() publishes wqueue->notes, notes_bitmap, nr_pages and nr_notes with plain stores, and post_one_notification() reads them with plain loads under a different lock, so nothing orders the four stores against the poster's loads: depending on the build, notes can be stored last (gcc 14 on x86-64 does this). Since keyctl_watch_key() lets a watch attach to a queue before it is sized, post_one_notification() can already be running on another CPU at that moment: it reads nr_notes > 0, passes its bounds check, and then reads notes while it is still NULL, dereferencing notes[0]. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: free the sbi after a grace period ext4_get_link() follows a symlink that keeps its target in a data block in rcu pathwalk mode with ext4_getblk(EXT4_GET_BLOCKS_CACHED_NOWAIT). That reads s_mount_state in the ASSERT() of ext4_getblk() and again in ext4_es_lookup_extent(), and the lookup bumps the extent status hit or miss counter, all through sb->s_fs_info. ext4_put_super() destroys those counters, clears sb->s_fs_info and frees the sbi without waiting for a grace period. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: namespace: a mount that copy_tree() leaves out can't take over a lock Since commit c62a4766937e ("move_mount: transfer MNT_LOCKED") a mount can be moved beneath a locked mount. The lock moves from the old cover to the new mount which takes over the job of hiding what's under it and the old cover can be unmounted. That works as long as the new mount stays. But the caller picks the new mount and copy_tree() leaves a mount of a mount namespace file out of every copy made without CL_COPY_MNT_NS_FILE, together with everything mounted on it, and never looks at MNT_LOCKED. unshare(CLONE_NEWNS) and mount propagation make such copies. So a task that is root in its own user namespace gets rid of a locked cover on a file without a race and without touching the filesystem below it. It makes a child with a mount namespace of its own, binds the child's /proc/<pid>/ns/mnt beneath the cover with MOVE_MOUNT_BENEATH, which hands the lock to that bind, and calls unshare(CLONE_NEWNS). The new mount namespace has nothing on the file. That's the usual way to mask a single file, a bind of /dev/null or of an empty file. With a bind of

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing/histograms: Reject non-stacktrace fields for synthetic stacktrace fields In check_CVE-2026-99163 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing/histograms: Reject non-stacktrace fields for synthetic stacktrace fields In check_synth_field(), when a synthetic event field is a stacktrace (field->is_stack) and the histogram field is not a "long[" stacktrace array, validation falls through to the generic size and signedness comparison. Because parse_synth_field() sets a stacktrace field's type to "__data_loc unsigned long[]", its size is sizeof(u64) and synth_field_signed() marks it as signed. Consequently, any 8-byte signed scalar histogram field passes the fallback check, and its scalar value is subsequently dereferenced as a kernel stacktrace pointer in get_field_size() and trace_stack(). Furthermore, checking strstr(hist_field->type, "long[") is insufficient because tracepoint fields defined with __bitmask() or __rel_bitmask() also have type "__data_loc unsigned long[]" or "__rel_loc unsigned long[]", whilst create_hist_field() treats them as 4-byte scalar values without HIST_FIELD_FL_STACKTRACE. Propagate HIST_FIELD_FL_STACKTRACE to variable references and field variables (whilst excluding variable aliases from per-element stacktrace capture)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: st: Fix use-after-free race between st_remove() and st_open() st_remove() drops the probe reference on the scsi_tape with kref_put() and only afterwards removes its index from st_index_idr. If that was the last reference, scsi_tape_release() frees the structure while it is still published in the idr. scsi_tape_get(), called from st_open(), looks up the tape in st_index_idr and takes a reference under st_ref_mutex and st_index_lock. remove_cdevs() does not wait for opens that are already past chrdev_open(), so an open that is blocked on st_ref_mutex while st_remove() holds it can take the mutex as soon as st_remove() drops it, find the freed tpnt in the idr and call kref_get() on it: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in st_open Write of size 4 ... st_open (drivers/scsi/st.c:254 drivers/scsi/st.c:1291) chrdev_open ... In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix crash in print_graph_function_event() tracing_set_tracer() assigns the flags of the newly selected tracer with: tr->current_trace_flags = t->flags ? : t->tracer->flags; If the new tracer defines neither static flags nor default flags, like hwlat, irqsoff or wakeup, add_tracer() has no per instance flags copy for it, and both operands are NULL, so tr->current_trace_flags ends up being NULL as well. The ring buffer is not cleared when switching tracers: it is reset inside tracer_init(), after current_trace_flags was already assigned. If the buffer still holds function_graph entries of the previous tracer, printing one of them dereferences the NULL pointer. This was hit by cat trace during an ftrace stress test: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000000 #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode RIP: 0010:print_graph_function_event+0xe/0x20 Call Trace: s_show+0x4d/0x110 seq_read_iter+0x2d4/0x490 seq_read+0x130/0x170 vfs_read+0xb5/0x370 ksys_read+0x6d/0xe0 do_syscall_64+0xbc/0x450 The snapshot buffer is not reset at all, so this can be reproduced with

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-crypt: fix a tiny race condition in crypt_dec_pending crypt_dec_pending reads io->errorCVE-2026-99136 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-crypt: fix a tiny race condition in crypt_dec_pending crypt_dec_pending reads io->error before calling atomic_dec_and_test. Another context, for example crypt_endio called from an interrupt, may set io->error and drop its reference between the read and the decrement. crypt_dec_pending then drops the last reference and completes the bio with the stale status - so a read that failed and was never decrypted, or a write that failed, is reported as successful. The read was placed before the decrement by commit b35f8caa0890 ("dm crypt: wait for endio to complete before destruction"), because that commit freed dm_crypt_io before calling bio_endio. This is no longer the case, dm_crypt_io lives in the per-bio data now. Read io->error after atomic_dec_and_test instead. atomic_dec_and_test is fully ordered, so no additional barrier is needed.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mac802154: fix data race and NULL deref on local->assoc_dev local->assoc_dev is shared between the association path and the association-response worker without common synchronization. mac802154_perform_association() stores the coordinator pointer and waits for a response. Its timeout and error paths clear the pointer and return to mac802154_associate(), which may then free the coordinator object. Meanwhile, mac802154_rx_mac_cmd_worker() may observe the associating bit and enter mac802154_process_association_resp(), which dereferences assoc_dev. The worker's bit test and the handler's pointer dereference are not atomic with respect to cleanup. Cleanup can clear assoc_dev between them, causing a NULL dereference, or free the coordinator while the response handler still uses the pointer. The recorded result is exposed to the same window. assoc_status and assoc_addr are written by the handler but read by the association path while the associating bit is still set, so a second response for the same request - a malicious one, for instance - can replace them between those reads and leave the caller with an incoherent

Oct 28, 2026Enable Media Replace: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-85655 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The Enable Media Replace plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 4.2.2. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to modify the post_content of any published post referencing the replaced media — including Administrator-owned posts — making changes immediately visible to unauthenticated visitors. The doReplaceQuery() method performs a database-wide search-and-replace across all posts containing the old media URL without any per-post capability check, meaning a single Author-triggered request can silently overwrite a large number of posts that WordPress's standard admin UI and REST API would otherwise forbid that user from editing.
