In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: codecs: rt1017-sdca-sdw: fix uninitialized stream_config->type stream_config is not initialized before being passed to sdw_stream_add_slave(). The type field may contain garbage and is later copied to stream->type by sdw_config_stream(). Zero-initialize stream_config so type defaults to SDW_STREAM_PCM. While at it, use snd_sdw_params_to_config() helper instead of open-coding the same logic.

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: ua101: reject mismatched capture/playback packet sizes detect_usb_format() cross-cheCVE-2026-98741 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: ua101: reject mismatched capture/playback packet sizes detect_usb_format() cross-checks bSubframeSize, bBitResolution and tSamFreq between the capture and playback interfaces, but never relates the two endpoints' wMaxPacketSize and bNrChannels. Each playback URB gets a buffer of ua->playback.max_packet_bytes, while the number of bytes written into it is derived from the capture stream: capture_urb_complete() computes frames from the received capture packet and capture.frame_bytes, and start_usb_playback() and playback_work() multiply that by playback.frame_bytes. A device declaring a large capture wMaxPacketSize with few capture channels and a small playback wMaxPacketSize with many playback channels therefore memset()s and memcpy()s past the end of the playback buffer, in open() of the PCM node the driver registers during probe. usb_submit_urb() rejects the over-long iso_frame_desc[0].length with -EMSGSIZE, but only after the write. Reject such descriptors at probe time. Genuine UA-101/UA-1000 hardware declares proportional packet sizes and is unaffected. BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in start_usb_

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: accel: kxcjk-1013: reject duplicate event disable The IIO core does not filter duplicCVE-2026-98679 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: accel: kxcjk-1013: reject duplicate event disable The IIO core does not filter duplicate writes to the event enable attribute. kxcjk1013_write_event_config() already ignores repeated enable requests, but a repeated disable request still calls kxcjk1013_set_power_state(data, false), dropping a runtime PM reference that was not acquired for this request. This can underflow the runtime PM usage count and trigger a "Runtime PM usage count underflow" warning. Return early when the requested state already matches ev_enable_state.

Oct 14, 2026Markdown Preview Enhanced is a Markdown preview extension for Visual Studio Code.CVE-2026-54703 · Other software · shd101wyy · reported by GitHubMedium 5.8
Markdown Preview Enhanced is a Markdown preview extension for Visual Studio Code. Prior to 0.8.30, the _crossnote.updateMarkdown command in Markdown Preview Enhanced accepts an arbitrary URI and attacker-controlled content, then passes them to vscode.workspace.fs.writeFile without validating that the target is the Markdown file represented by the current preview. JavaScript already executing in the preview webview can invoke this command through the extension message bridge and write any file permitted by the VS Code user's operating-system privileges, including user configuration, startup, source, and build files. This file-write vulnerability requires a separate webview JavaScript execution path, such as the independently tracked head.html injection and blind command-dispatch weaknesses. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.30.

Oct 14, 2026Markdown Preview Enhanced is a Markdown preview extension for Visual Studio Code.CVE-2026-54702 · Other software · shd101wyy · reported by GitHubHigh 7.3
Markdown Preview Enhanced is a Markdown preview extension for Visual Studio Code. Prior to 0.8.30, the webview message handler in src/preview-provider.ts accepts an attacker-controlled command value and attacker-controlled args, constructs a command in the _crossnote namespace, and invokes vscode.commands.executeCommand without an allowlist or type validation. JavaScript already executing in the preview webview can use this bridge to invoke privileged extension commands, including file modification, code-chunk execution, export-tool execution, and arbitrary URL opening, with attacker-selected arguments. Exploitation requires a separate webview JavaScript execution path, such as the independently tracked .crossnote/head.html injection, but no further authorization check protects the extension-host command boundary. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.30.

Oct 14, 2026Markdown Preview Enhanced is a Markdown preview extension for Visual Studio Code.CVE-2026-54701 · Other software · shd101wyy · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9
Markdown Preview Enhanced is a Markdown preview extension for Visual Studio Code. Prior to 0.8.30, Markdown Preview Enhanced reads repository-controlled .crossnote/head.html content and passes it through resolvePathsInHeader before inserting it into the head of the preview webview document without removing executable content. Script-capable markup executes while the document loads, before the React application and DOMPurify initialize, and can access acquireVsCodeApi to send messages from the webview to the extension host. Opening a Markdown preview in a malicious repository is sufficient to trigger the injected content, and no additional click within the notification or preview is required. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.30.

Oct 14, 2026Markdown Preview Enhanced is a Markdown preview extension for Visual Studio Code.CVE-2026-54566 · Other software · shd101wyy · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5
Markdown Preview Enhanced is a Markdown preview extension for Visual Studio Code. Prior to 0.8.29, Markdown Preview Enhanced evaluates repository-controlled .crossnote/config.js and .crossnote/parser.js files with vm.runInNewContext, which does not provide a security boundary from the Node.js host realm. Opening a Markdown file in a malicious repository automatically loads these files, and prototype-chain traversal can reach the host Function constructor and process object, allowing operating-system commands to execute as the victim account without further interaction. Both configuration evaluation and parser-hook evaluation are affected, and the attack does not depend on module-scoped require being available. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.29.

Oct 14, 2026Markdown Preview Enhanced is a Markdown preview extension for Visual Studio Code.CVE-2026-54525 · Other software · shd101wyy · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
Markdown Preview Enhanced is a Markdown preview extension for Visual Studio Code. Prior to 0.8.28, Markdown Preview Enhanced preview-link handling passes a decoded, Markdown-controlled link target to a Windows file-opening helper that invokes child_process.exec with the start command. When a Windows user opens an untrusted Markdown file and clicks a crafted external or unsupported-scheme link, shell metacharacters in the decoded target are interpreted by cmd.exe as command separators, allowing an attacker-selected command to run with the privileges of the current VS Code user. The attack requires one normal preview-link click but does not require malicious workspace configuration, script execution to be enabled, or additional files. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.28.

In Baicells Nova 430H, an unauthenticated device within radio range can send a malformed uplink message during connection setup that contains an invalid NAS payload. Because the eNodeB does not properly validate this payload, it forwards the message to the core network, which can trigger a shutdown of the signaling association for the cell. This results in a temporary service disruption until the eNodeB and core network re-establish connectivity.

BerriAI LiteLLM before 1.101.0-rc.1 contains a tenant isolation bypass vulnerability in the semantic cache layer that allows authenticated users to read other tenants' cached responses by exploiting a metadata key mismatch between _get_semantic_cache_tenant_scope() and _get_metadata_variable_name(). Attackers holding a valid virtual key can submit semantically similar prompts on affected routes such as /v1/responses and /bedrock/* to retrieve cached responses containing other tenants' personally identifiable information, financial data, or source code, and can cause agentic front-ends to auto-execute attacker-supplied tool calls under victim credentials by returning cached function_call or tool_calls payloads to a different principal.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/eeh: Fix recursive locking on devices without EEH sensitive driver The commit 1010CVE-2026-97948 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/eeh: Fix recursive locking on devices without EEH sensitive driver The commit 1010b4c012b0 ("powerpc/eeh: Make EEH driver device hotplug safe") refactored the EEH code such that the pci_rescan_remove_lock is held at the beginning of eeh_handle_normal_event() and the eeh_reset_device() is called with that lock being held. Looks like the commit missed to remove the existing lock/unlock inside eeh_rmv_device() which is no longer necessary. This is causing the eehd to hang on the lock which it actually holds when that code path is taken. Sep 18, 2026rustls-webpki (the Rust webpki fork used by rustls) versions >= 0.101.0 and prior to 0.103.12 and 0.104.0-alpha.6 incorrectly accepted permitted-subtree DNS namCVE-2026-93601 · Other software · rustls · reported by VulnCheckLow 2.1
rustls-webpki (the Rust webpki fork used by rustls) versions >= 0.101.0 and prior to 0.103.12 and 0.104.0-alpha.6 incorrectly accepted permitted-subtree DNS name constraints for certificates asserting a wildcard name. For example, a name constraint of accept.example.com was treated as satisfied by a certificate for *.example.com, which could feasibly assert reject.example.com — a name outside the permitted subtree. Because name constraints are restrictions applied to otherwise properly issued certificates, the issue is only reachable after signature verification succeeds and requires a misissued wildcard certificate to exploit.

Sep 18, 2026rustls-webpki (rustls/webpki) versions 0.101.0 through 0.103.11 and 0.104.0-alpha releases before 0.104.0-alpha.6 ignore X.509 name constraints that apply to URCVE-2026-93600 · Other software · rustls · reported by VulnCheckLow 2.1
rustls-webpki (rustls/webpki) versions 0.101.0 through 0.103.11 and 0.104.0-alpha releases before 0.104.0-alpha.6 ignore X.509 name constraints that apply to URI names, causing such constraints to be accepted rather than enforced. Because name constraints are restrictions on otherwise properly issued certificates, the flaw is only reachable after successful signature verification and requires a misissued certificate to exploit; the library also provides no API for asserting URI names, and URI name constraints are otherwise unimplemented. Versions 0.103.12 and 0.104.0-alpha.6 reject URI name constraints unconditionally.

MKVToolNix through 101.0 contains a heap buffer overflow in the bundled avilib library's ODML superindex parser due to integer wraparound in 32-bit arithmetic. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
