  • Jul 23, 2026Proxygen lacked a generalized slow-consumer detection mechanism in its core HTTP session layer.CVE-2026-44909 · Other software · Facebook · reported by cve-assign@fb.comHigh 7.5

Proxygen lacked a generalized slow-consumer detection mechanism in its core HTTP session layer. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could exploit HTTP/2 flow-control by setting SETTINGS_INITIAL_WINDOW_SIZE to 0 or withholding WINDOW_UPDATE frames, causing the server to buffer complete response bodies in memory indefinitely for stalled streams. By opening many simultaneous streams requesting large resources while preventing the server from transmitting responses, an attacker could induce unbounded memory growth leading to service degradation, resource exhaustion, or denial of service. Versions v2017.01.16.00 through v2026.07.20.00 are affected.

Question2Answer through 1.8.8 contains a session invalidation vulnerability that allows attackers with a previously obtained remember-me cookie to retain authenticated access by exploiting the forgot-password reset flow's failure to clear the sessioncode field in qa-include/app/users-edit.php. While the normal password-change flow in qa-include/pages/account.php explicitly clears the sessioncode to invalidate persistent qa_session cookies, the forgot-password handler qa_finish_reset_user() omits this step, allowing any valid persistent cookie issued before the reset to continue authenticating the account after the password reset completes.

  • Jul 20, 2026Dancer2 versions before 2.2.0 for Perl generate insecure session ids when required CSPRNG modules are unavailable.CVE-2026-13577 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 8.2

Dancer2 versions before 2.2.0 for Perl generate insecure session ids when required CSPRNG modules are unavailable. Dancer2::Core::Role::SessionFactory::generate_id silently falls back to a built-in rand-derived session id unless both Math::Random::ISAAC::XS and Crypt::URandom are available. The fallback session id is generated from a SHA-1 hash of a call to the built-in rand function, the absolute path of the Dancer2::Core::Role::SessionFactory module, an internal counter, the process id, the module instance memory address, and a shuffled string of characters (using the List::Util::shuffle function, which also uses the built-in rand function). These are all low-entropy and easily guessed sources. The built-in rand() function is seeded with 32-bits and considered unsuitable for security applications. Predictable session ids could allow an attacker to gain access to systems.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix null pointer dereference in compare_guid_key() session_fd_check() walks the per-inode m_op_list during durable-handle session teardown and sets op->conn = NULL for every opinfo whose conn matched the closing session's connection. The matching opinfo, however, stays linked in its per-ClientGuid lease_table_list entry's lb->lease_list because destroy_lease_table() only runs on full TCP-connection teardown, not on SESSION_LOGOFF. If the same TCP connection then negotiates a fresh session with the same ClientGuid (ClientGuid is bound to NEGOTIATE, not the session, and is unchanged across LOGOFF + SETUP) and issues a SMB2 CREATE with a lease context on a different inode, find_same_lease_key() walks lb->lease_list, reaches the stale opinfo, and calls compare_guid_key(), which unconditionally dereferences opinfo->conn->ClientGUID. The conn pointer is NULL and the kernel panics. Reproducer requires only a successful SMB2 SESSION_SETUP and a share configured with 'durable handles = yes'. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: l2tp: use list_del_rcu in l2tp_session_unhash An unprivileged local user can pin a host CPU indefinitely in l2tp_session_get_by_ifname() by issuing L2TP_CMD_SESSION_GET on L2TP_ATTR_IFNAME concurrently with L2TP_CMD_SESSION_CREATE and L2TP_CMD_SESSION_DELETE on the same tunnel. All three commands take GENL_UNS_ADMIN_PERM, so CAP_NET_ADMIN in the netns user namespace suffices; on any host that has l2tp_core loaded the trigger is reachable from a standard `unshare -Urn` sandbox. l2tp_session_unhash() removes a session from tunnel->session_list with list_del_init(), but that list is walked by l2tp_session_get_by_ifname() with list_for_each_entry_rcu() under rcu_read_lock_bh(). list_del_init() leaves the deleted entry's next/prev self-pointing; a reader that has loaded the entry and then advances pos->list.next reads &session->list, container_of()s back to the same session, and list_for_each_entry_rcu() never reaches the list head. The CPU stays in strcmp() inside the walker, with BH and preemption disabled, so RCU grace periods on the host stall behind it and the wedged thread cannot be killed (SIGKILL is delivered

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: l2tp: use refcount_inc_not_zero in l2tp_session_get_by_ifname A reader in l2tp_session_get_by_ifname() can return a pointer to a session whose refcount has reached zero. The getter takes its reference with plain refcount_inc(), but every other session getter in the same file (l2tp_v2_session_get, l2tp_v3_session_get, and the corresponding _get_next variants) uses refcount_inc_not_zero() because the IDR/RCU lookup can race with refcount_dec_and_test() -> l2tp_session_free() -> kfree_rcu(). The ifname getter is the only outlier; the inconsistency was raised on-list after 979c017803c4 ("l2tp: use list_del_rcu in l2tp_session_unhash"). A reader inside rcu_read_lock_bh() that matches session->ifname can be preempted between the strcmp() and the refcount_inc(). If the last reference drops on another CPU in that window, the reader's refcount_inc() runs on a counter that has reached zero. refcount_t catches the addition-on-zero, prints "refcount_t: addition on 0; use-after-free", saturates the counter, and returns the saturated pointer to the caller. Session memory is held live by the in-flight RCU read section, but the

  • Jul 19, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: reject non-VALID session in compound request branch smb2_check_user_session() takesCVE-2026-53383 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: reject non-VALID session in compound request branch smb2_check_user_session() takes a shortcut for any operation that is not the first in a COMPOUND request: it reuses work->sess (the session bound by the first operation) and validates only the SessionId, then returns "valid". It never re-checks work->sess->state == SMB2_SESSION_VALID, and a SessionId of 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF (ULLONG_MAX, the MS-SMB2 related-operation value) skips even the id comparison. The standalone path (ksmbd_session_lookup_all() plus the SESSION_SETUP state machine) does enforce the VALID state; the compound branch bypasses all of it. A SESSION_SETUP carrying only an NTLM Type-1 (NtLmNegotiate) blob publishes a fresh SMB2_SESSION_IN_PROGRESS session whose sess->user is still NULL (->user is assigned later, by ntlm_authenticate()). Used as operation 1 of a COMPOUND with operation 2 = TREE_CONNECT (related, SessionId=ULLONG_MAX, \\host\IPC$), the tree-connect then runs on that IN_PROGRESS session and reaches ksmbd_ipc_tree_connect_request(), which dereferences user_name(sess->user) with sess->user == NULL (transport_ipc.c:687/701/704) ->

  • Jul 18, 2026The urwid web display backend (urwid/display/web.py) generates web session identifiers (urwid_id) in Screen.start() by concatenating two random.randrange(10**9)CVE-2026-9323 · Other software · urwid · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.2

The urwid web display backend (urwid/display/web.py) generates web session identifiers (urwid_id) in Screen.start() by concatenating two random.randrange(10**9) calls that use Python's Mersenne Twister PRNG, which is not cryptographically secure. Each call consumes approximately 30 bits of PRNG state, and the Mersenne Twister internal state is approximately 19,937 bits, so an attacker who observes approximately 334 session IDs (for example via the X-Urwid-ID HTTP response header) can fully reconstruct the internal state and predict all past and future session IDs (Path B). The same identifier is also used as the filename of a FIFO created in the world-listable /tmp directory (for example /tmp/urwid375487765176907690.in), so any local user on the host can list /tmp to enumerate active session tokens directly (Path A). With a valid session ID, an attacker can read the victim's terminal screen via the polling endpoint, inject keystrokes into the victim's session (yielding OS-level code execution with the session owner's privileges if the session runs a shell), and inject exit sequences or flood the FIFO to terminate or crash the session. A prior Bandit S311 warning on this usage was s

  • Jul 14, 2026A vulnerability relating to insufficient access control has been identified in the session management of the Sesame Time web application and its REST v3 API.CVE-2026-15389 · Other software · Sesame Time · reported by cve-coordination@incibe.esHigh 8.7

A vulnerability relating to insufficient access control has been identified in the session management of the Sesame Time web application and its REST v3 API. The flaw lies in the fact that the system uses the session identifier (USID) as the sole validation mechanism, without verifying whether that identifier legitimately belongs to the user making the request. As a result, an attacker who obtains a valid USID can impersonate a victim’s session and access their confidential information, including emails, user IDs, roles and corporate data. This vulnerability is exacerbated by poor session lifecycle management: new logins generate additional USIDs without revoking the previous ones, allowing multiple active sessions to coexist and thereby expanding the attack surface.

In versions up to and including 4.5.29 (4.x branch) and 5.1.4 (5.x branch), the WebClientSession component of Eclipse Vert.x Web Client does not validate that the Domain attribute of a Set-Cookie response header matches the originating server's domain, in violation of RFC 6265 section 5.3. An attacker who controls any server that the victim application contacts can inject a cookie scoped to an arbitrary third-party domain; because the session store performs no cross-domain ownership check, it stores and later transmits that cookie to the targeted domain. When the victim application subsequently sends a request to the targeted domain using the same WebClientSession, it presents the attacker-injected cookie, causing the receiving service to process the request under the attacker's account. Sensitive data included in the victim application's requests, such as payment amounts, card details, or other API payloads, may then be accessible to the attacker through their own account on that service.

OpenReplay is a self-hosted session replay suite. Prior to 1.27.0, the session search and analytics API in enterprise editions with multi-tenancy enabled built ClickHouse queries by inserting user input into the query string, including two positions that took input without escaping, allowing an authenticated member to read any ClickHouse table through blind boolean and time-based exfiltration and to break the project's session search for all viewers until the stored key is removed. This issue is fixed in version 1.27.0.

OpenReplay is a self-hosted session replay suite. From 1.22.0 before 1.27.0, getFirstMob returned 15-second presigned S3 download URLs for a session's DOM-replay recording based solely on the session path parameter, while validateProjectAccess checked only that the project belonged to the requester's tenant and did not verify that the session belonged to that project, allowing any authenticated low-privilege user to read another tenant's first 15 seconds of session-replay recording data. OpenReplay is a self-hosted session replay suite. In 1.27.0 and earlier, three dashboard and note mutation functions ran their SQL without the ownership predicate that their sibling read and edit functions use: notes.delete filtered only on note id and project id, while dashboards.update_widget and dashboards.remove_widget filtered only on dashboard id and widget id, allowing any authenticated member to delete another user's private session notes and remove or rewrite widgets on another user's private dashboards.

OpenReplay is a self-hosted session replay suite. From 1.24.0 before 1.25.0, the OpenReplay tracking SDK accepts custom event names and captured page URLs from any visitor using a public project key, stores them in ClickHouse without output encoding, and later renders them in the authenticated dashboard through TextEllipsis and the event-details modal, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to store script that executes in the dashboard origin, reads the session JWT from localStorage, and takes over a dashboard account. • Jul 6, 2026Insufficient Session Expiration vulnerability in Apache Camel Keycloak Component.CVE-2026-46455 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.8

Insufficient Session Expiration vulnerability in Apache Camel Keycloak Component. The camel-keycloak security helper KeycloakSecurityHelper.parseAndVerifyAccessToken builds a Keycloak TokenVerifier using withChecks(...) with only the subject-exists check and the realm-URL (issuer) check. Keycloak's TokenVerifier.withChecks(...) appends to an initially empty check list - the upstream default checks are installed only when withDefaultChecks() is called - so the built-in IS_ACTIVE predicate, which validates the token's exp (expiration) and nbf (not-before) claims, is never applied. As a result the helper verifies the token signature, subject and issuer but does not enforce the token's validity window: an access token that is expired, or not yet valid, is accepted as valid. Routes that rely on this helper to authenticate inbound requests therefore accept access tokens that are outside their intended lifetime. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.18.0 before 4.18.3, from 4.19.0 before 4.21.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.21.0, which fixes the issue. • Jul 2, 2026luci-app-travelmate (and the travelmate package) contain a privilege-escalation flaw: a LuCI/rpcd session holding the luci-app-travelmate write ACL is granted cCVE-2026-58652 · Other software · openwrt · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.7

luci-app-travelmate (and the travelmate package) contain a privilege-escalation flaw: a LuCI/rpcd session holding the luci-app-travelmate write ACL is granted config-wide UCI write access to the travelmate configuration. While the LuCI UI restricts the auto-login script picker to /etc/travelmate/*.login, this is only a frontend restriction. The backend travelmate service (running as root) reads the raw UCI 'script' and 'script_args' values and executes the configured path when the captive-portal auto-login branch (f_check() in travelmate-functions.sh) is reached. An attacker with delegated write permissions can set script to /bin/sh and script_args to attacker-controlled arguments, resulting in arbitrary command execution as root. Confirmed in luci-app-travelmate/travelmate 2.4.5-r3; travelmate 2.4.6-1 is also affected. Fixed in travelmate 2.4.6-2, which enforces the /etc/travelmate/*.login allowlist in the backend.

CGI::Session::ID::md5 versions before 4.49 for Perl generate predictable session ids from low-entropy sources. The generate_id method builds the session id from a MD5 digest of the process id, the epoch time, and the built-in rand() function. All three are predictable, low-entropy sources: the PID is drawn from a small range, the epoch time can be guessed or read from the HTTP Date header, and Perl's rand() is unsuitable for security purposes because it is predictable and reversible. An attacker who predicts a session id can impersonate the corresponding session and bypass authentication.
