Dec 16, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/cmd_net: fix wrong argument types for skb_queue_splice() If timestamp retriving nCVE-2025-68234 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/cmd_net: fix wrong argument types for skb_queue_splice() If timestamp retriving needs to be retried and the local list of SKB's already has entries, then it's spliced back into the socket queue. However, the arguments for the splice helper are transposed, causing exactly the wrong direction of splicing into the on-stack list. Fix that up.

Dec 16, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: fix uninitialized waitqueue in transaction manager The transaction manager initializaCVE-2025-68168 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: fix uninitialized waitqueue in transaction manager The transaction manager initialization in txInit() was not properly initializing TxBlock[0].waitor waitqueue, causing a crash when txEnd(0) is called on read-only filesystems. When a filesystem is mounted read-only, txBegin() returns tid=0 to indicate no transaction. However, txEnd(0) still gets called and tries to access TxBlock[0].waitor via tid_to_tblock(0), but this waitqueue was never initialized because the initialization loop started at index 1 instead of 0. This causes a 'non-static key' lockdep warning and system crash: INFO: trying to register non-static key in txEnd Fix by ensuring all transaction blocks including TxBlock[0] have their waitqueues properly initialized during txInit().

Dec 9, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm: don't attempt to queue IO under RCU protection dm looks up the table for IO based on tCVE-2023-53860 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm: don't attempt to queue IO under RCU protection dm looks up the table for IO based on the request type, with an assumption that if the request is marked REQ_NOWAIT, it's fine to attempt to submit that IO while under RCU read lock protection. This is not OK, as REQ_NOWAIT just means that we should not be sleeping waiting on other IO, it does not mean that we can't potentially schedule. A simple test case demonstrates this quite nicely: int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { struct iovec iov; int fd; fd = open("/dev/dm-0", O_RDONLY | O_DIRECT); posix_memalign(&iov.iov_base, 4096, 4096); iov.iov_len = 4096; preadv2(fd, &iov, 1, 0, RWF_NOWAIT); return 0; } which will instantly spew: BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context at include/linux/sched/mm.h:306 in_atomic(): 0, irqs_disabled(): 0, non_block: 0, pid: 5580, name: dm-nowait preempt_count: 0, expected: 0 RCU nest depth: 1, expected: 0 INFO: lockdep is turned off. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md/raid0, raid10: Don't set discard sectors for request queue It should use disk_stack_limits to get a proper max_discard_sectors rather than setting a value by stack drivers. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: fix race in hci_cmd_sync_dequeue_once hci_cmd_sync_dequeue_once() does lookup and then cancel the entry under two separate lock sections. Meanwhile, hci_cmd_sync_work() can also delete the same entry, leading to double list_del() and "UAF". Fix this by holding cmd_sync_work_lock across both lookup and cancel, so that the entry cannot be removed concurrently.

Nov 12, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: quota: create dedicated workqueue for quota_release_work There is a kernel panic due tCVE-2025-40196 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: quota: create dedicated workqueue for quota_release_work There is a kernel panic due to WARN_ONCE when panic_on_warn is set. This issue occurs when writeback is triggered due to sync call for an opened file(ie, writeback reason is WB_REASON_SYNC). When f2fs balance is needed at sync path, flush for quota_release_work is triggered. By default quota_release_work is queued to "events_unbound" queue which does not have WQ_MEM_RECLAIM flag. During f2fs balance "writeback" workqueue tries to flush quota_release_work causing kernel panic due to MEM_RECLAIM flag mismatch errors. This patch creates dedicated workqueue with WQ_MEM_RECLAIM flag for work quota_release_work. ------------[ cut here ]------------ WARNING: CPU: 4 PID: 14867 at kernel/workqueue.c:3721 check_flush_dependency+0x13c/0x148 Call trace: check_flush_dependency+0x13c/0x148 __flush_work+0xd0/0x398 flush_delayed_work+0x44/0x5c dquot_writeback_dquots+0x54/0x318 f2fs_do_quota_sync+0xb8/0x1a8 f2fs_write_checkpoint+0x3cc/0x99c f2fs_gc+0x190/0x750 f2fs_balance_fs+0x110/0x168 f2fs_write_single_data_page+0x474/0x7dc f2fs_write_data_pages+0x7d0/0x

Nov 12, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/qaic: Fix bootlog initialization ordering As soon as we queue MHI buffers to receiveCVE-2025-40177 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/qaic: Fix bootlog initialization ordering As soon as we queue MHI buffers to receive the bootlog from the device, we could be receiving data. Therefore all the resources needed to process that data need to be setup prior to queuing the buffers. We currently initialize some of the resources after queuing the buffers which creates a race between the probe() and any data that comes back from the device. If the uninitialized resources are accessed, we could see page faults. Fix the init ordering to close the race.

Nov 12, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/guc: Check GuC running state before deregistering exec queue In normal operation, aCVE-2025-40166 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/guc: Check GuC running state before deregistering exec queue In normal operation, a registered exec queue is disabled and deregistered through the GuC, and freed only after the GuC confirms completion. However, if the driver is forced to unbind while the exec queue is still running, the user may call exec_destroy() after the GuC has already been stopped and CT communication disabled. In this case, the driver cannot receive a response from the GuC, preventing proper cleanup of exec queue resources. Fix this by directly releasing the resources when GuC is not running. To avoid code duplication, the following changes are made: 1. Changed qdisc_warn_nonwc(include/net/pkt_sched.h) into a static inline function. 2. Moved qdisc_peek_len from net/sched/sch_hfsc.c to include/net/pkt_sched.h so that sch_qfq can reuse it. 3. Applied qdisc_peek_len in agg_dequeue to avoid crashing.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: n_gsm: Don't block input queue by waiting MSC Currently gsm_queue() processes incoming frames and when opening a DLC channel it calls gsm_dlci_open() which calls gsm_modem_update(). If basic mode is used it calls gsm_modem_upd_via_msc() and it cannot block the input queue by waiting the response to come into the same input queue. Instead allow sending Modem Status Command without waiting for remote end to respond. Define a new function gsm_modem_send_initial_msc() for this purpose. As MSC is only valid for basic encoding, it does not do anything for advanced or when convergence layer type 2 is used.

When network operations are aborted at specific timing intervals, an internal message queue item may be freed twice due to missing state synchronization. This leads to a use-after-free memory access, potentially crashing the affected application. Attackers could exploit this behavior remotely by triggering specific HTTP/2 read and cancel sequences, resulting in a denial-of-service condition.

Oct 18, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mvsas: Fix use-after-free bugs in mvs_work_queue During the detaching of Marvell's SCVE-2025-40001 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mvsas: Fix use-after-free bugs in mvs_work_queue During the detaching of Marvell's SAS/SATA controller, the original code calls cancel_delayed_work() in mvs_free() to cancel the delayed work item mwq->work_q. However, if mwq->work_q is already running, the cancel_delayed_work() may fail to cancel it. This can lead to use-after-free scenarios where mvs_free() frees the mvs_info while mvs_work_queue() is still executing and attempts to access the already-freed mvs_info. A typical race condition is illustrated below: CPU 0 (remove) | CPU 1 (delayed work callback) mvs_pci_remove() | mvs_free() | mvs_work_queue() cancel_delayed_work() | kfree(mvi) | | mvi-> // UAF Replace cancel_delayed_work() with cancel_delayed_work_sync() to ensure that the delayed work item is properly canceled and any executing delayed work item completes before the mvs_info is deallocated. This bug was found by static analysis.

We should prevent it by checking tfile->detached before queuing skb. Note this must be done under tfile->sk.sk_write_queue.lock because write() and ioctl(IFF_DETACH_QUEUE) can run concurrently. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeon_ep: cancel queued works in probe error path If it fails to get the devices's MAC address, octep_probe exits while leaving the delayed work intr_poll_task queued. When the work later runs, it's a use after free. Move the cancelation of intr_poll_task from octep_remove into octep_device_cleanup. This does not change anything in the octep_remove flow, but octep_device_cleanup is called also in the octep_probe error path, where the cancelation is needed. Note that the cancelation of ctrl_mbox_task has to follow intr_poll_task's, because the ctrl_mbox_task may be queued by intr_poll_task.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-mq: avoid double ->queue_rq() because of early timeout David Jeffery found one double ->queue_rq() issue, so far it can be triggered in VM use case because of long vmexit latency or preempt latency of vCPU pthread or long page fault in vCPU pthread, then block IO req could be timed out before queuing the request to hardware but after calling blk_mq_start_request() during ->queue_rq(), then timeout handler may handle it by requeue, then double ->queue_rq() is caused, and kernel panic. So far, it is driver's responsibility to cover the race between timeout and completion, so it seems supposed to be solved in driver in theory, given driver has enough knowledge. But it is really one common problem, lots of driver could have similar issue, and could be hard to fix all affected drivers, even it isn't easy for driver to handle the race. So David suggests this patch by draining in-progress ->queue_rq() for solving this issue.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-mq: use quiesced elevator switch when reinitializing queues The hctx's run_work may be racing with the elevator switch when reinitializing hardware queues. The queue is merely frozen in this context, but that only prevents requests from allocating and doesn't stop the hctx work from running. The work may get an elevator pointer that's being torn down, and can result in use-after-free errors and kernel panics (example below). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: Fix UBSAN shift-out-of-bounds warning If get_num_sdma_queues or get_num_xgmi_sdma_queues is 0, we end up doing a shift operation where the number of bits shifted equals number of bits in the operand. This behaviour is undefined. Set num_sdma_queues or num_xgmi_sdma_queues to ULLONG_MAX, if the count is >= number of bits in the operand. Bug: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/1472

Oct 1, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Prevent recovery work from being queued during device removal Use disable_workCVE-2025-39896 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Prevent recovery work from being queued during device removal Use disable_work_sync() instead of cancel_work_sync() in ivpu_dev_fini() to ensure that no new recovery work items can be queued after device removal has started. Previously, recovery work could be scheduled even after canceling existing work, potentially leading to use-after-free bugs if recovery accessed freed resources. Rename ivpu_pm_cancel_recovery() to ivpu_pm_disable_recovery() to better reflect its new behavior.

Sep 23, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: ti: edma: Fix memory allocation size for queue_priority_map Fix a critical memoCVE-2025-39869 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.4
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: ti: edma: Fix memory allocation size for queue_priority_map Fix a critical memory allocation bug in edma_setup_from_hw() where queue_priority_map was allocated with insufficient memory. The code declared queue_priority_map as s8 (*)[2] (pointer to array of 2 s8), but allocated memory using sizeof(s8) instead of the correct size. This caused out-of-bounds memory writes when accessing: queue_priority_map[i][0] = i; queue_priority_map[i][1] = i; The bug manifested as kernel crashes with "Oops - undefined instruction" on ARM platforms (BeagleBoard-X15) during EDMA driver probe, as the memory corruption triggered kernel hardening features on Clang. Change the allocation to use sizeof(*queue_priority_map) which automatically gets the correct size for the 2D array structure.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mlx5: fix possible ptp queue fifo use-after-free Fifo indexes are not checked during pop operations and it leads to potential use-after-free when poping from empty queue. Such case was possible during re-sync action. WARN_ON_ONCE covers future cases. There were out-of-order cqe spotted which lead to drain of the queue and use-after-free because of lack of fifo pointers check. Special check and counter are added to avoid resync operation if SKB could not exist in the fifo because of OOO cqe (skb_id must be between consumer and producer index).

Sep 17, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/sched: Check scheduler work queue before calling timeout handling During an IGT GPU reCVE-2023-53351 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/sched: Check scheduler work queue before calling timeout handling During an IGT GPU reset test we see again oops despite of commit 0c8c901aaaebc9 (drm/sched: Check scheduler ready before calling timeout handling). It uses ready condition whether to call drm_sched_fault which unwind the TDR leads to GPU reset. However it looks the ready condition is overloaded with other meanings, for example, for the following stack is related GPU reset : 0 gfx_v9_0_cp_gfx_start 1 gfx_v9_0_cp_gfx_resume 2 gfx_v9_0_cp_resume 3 gfx_v9_0_hw_init 4 gfx_v9_0_resume 5 amdgpu_device_ip_resume_phase2 does the following: /* start the ring */ gfx_v9_0_cp_gfx_start(adev); ring->sched.ready = true; The same approach is for other ASICs as well : gfx_v8_0_cp_gfx_resume gfx_v10_0_kiq_resume, etc... As a result, our GPU reset test causes GPU fault which calls unconditionally gfx_v9_0_fault and then drm_sched_fault. However now it depends on whether the interrupt service routine drm_sched_fault is executed after gfx_v9_0_cp_gfx_start is completed which sets the ready field of the scheduler to true even for uninitialized schedul

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
