Mar 25, 2026A use-after-return vulnerability exists in the `named` server when handling DNS queries signed with SIG(0).CVE-2026-3591 · Other software · ISC · reported by security-officer@isc.orgMedium 5.4
A use-after-return vulnerability exists in the `named` server when handling DNS queries signed with SIG(0). Using a specially-crafted DNS request, an attacker may be able to cause an ACL to improperly (mis)match an IP address. In a default-allow ACL (denying only specific IP addresses), this may lead to unauthorized access. Default-deny ACLs should fail-secure. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.20.0 through 9.20.20, 9.21.0 through 9.21.19, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.20-S1. Mar 7, 2026Hostname verification in Apache ZooKeeper ZKTrustManager falls back to reverse DNS (PTR) when IP SAN validation fails, allowing attackers who control or spoof PCVE-2026-24281 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.4
Hostname verification in Apache ZooKeeper ZKTrustManager falls back to reverse DNS (PTR) when IP SAN validation fails, allowing attackers who control or spoof PTR records to impersonate ZooKeeper servers or clients with a valid certificate for the PTR name. It's important to note that attacker must present a certificate which is trusted by ZKTrustManager which makes the attack vector harder to exploit. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.8.6 or 3.9.5, which fixes this issue by introducing a new configuration option to disable reverse DNS lookup in client and quorum protocols.

Mar 6, 2026CoreDNS is a DNS server that chains plugins.CVE-2026-26018 · Other software · coredns · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
CoreDNS is a DNS server that chains plugins. Prior to version 1.14.2, a denial of service vulnerability exists in CoreDNS's loop detection plugin that allows an attacker to crash the DNS server by sending specially crafted DNS queries. The vulnerability stems from the use of a predictable pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) for generating a secret query name, combined with a fatal error handler that terminates the entire process. This issue has been patched in version 1.14.2.

Mar 6, 2026CoreDNS is a DNS server that chains plugins.CVE-2026-26017 · Other software · coredns · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7
CoreDNS is a DNS server that chains plugins. Prior to version 1.14.2, a logical vulnerability in CoreDNS allows DNS access controls to be bypassed due to the default execution order of plugins. Security plugins such as acl are evaluated before the rewrite plugin, resulting in a Time-of-Check Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) flaw. This issue has been patched in version 1.14.2.

dns_unpack_name() caches the buffer tailroom once and reuses it while appending DNS labels. As the buffer grows, the cached size becomes incorrect, and the final null terminator can be written past the buffer. With assertions disabled (default), a malicious DNS response can trigger an out-of-bounds write when CONFIG_DNS_RESOLVER is enabled.

Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
