  • Apr 3, 2026Perfmatters: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-4350 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1

The Perfmatters plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion via path traversal in all versions up to, and including, 2.5.9.1. This is due to the `PMCS::action_handler()` method processing the `$_GET['delete']` parameter without any sanitization, authorization check, or nonce verification. The unsanitized filename is concatenated with the storage directory path and passed to `unlink()`. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server by using `../` path traversal sequences, including `wp-config.php` which would force WordPress into the installation wizard and allow full site takeover.

    Product

  • Mar 23, 2026ReviewX – WooCommerce Product Reviews with Multi-Criteria, Reminder Emails, Google Reviews, Schema & More: Arbitrary method callsCVE-2025-10679 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.3

The ReviewX – WooCommerce Product Reviews with Multi-Criteria, Reminder Emails, Google Reviews, Schema & More plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary method calls in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.12. This is due to insufficient input validation in the bulkTenReviews function that allows user-controlled data to be passed directly to a variable function call mechanism. • Mar 21, 2026JetFormBuilder: Arbitrary file readCVE-2026-4373 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5

The JetFormBuilder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file read via path traversal in all versions up to, and including, 3.5.6.2. This is due to the 'Uploaded_File::set_from_array' method accepting user-supplied file paths from the Media Field preset JSON payload without validating that the path belongs to the WordPress uploads directory. Combined with an insufficient same-file check in 'File_Tools::is_same_file' that only compares basenames, this makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to exfiltrate arbitrary local files as email attachments by submitting a crafted form request when the form is configured with a Media Field and a Send Email action with file attachment.

Affects up to 3.5.6.2. Update JetFormBuilder to the newest version and check its changelog mentions this fix; if there isn’t one yet, deactivate it until there is.
  • Mar 21, 2026Task Manager: Arbitrary shortcode executionCVE-2026-4004 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5

The Task Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary shortcode execution via the 'search' AJAX action in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.2. This is due to missing capability checks in the callback_search() function and insufficient input validation that allows shortcode syntax (square brackets) to pass through sanitize_text_field() and be concatenated into a do_shortcode() call. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to execute arbitrary shortcodes on the site by injecting shortcode syntax into parameters like 'task_id', 'point_id', 'categories_id', or 'term'.

  • Mar 20, 2026EmailKit – Email Customizer for WooCommerce & WP: Arbitrary file readCVE-2026-3474 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.9

The EmailKit – Email Customizer for WooCommerce & WP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file read via path traversal in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.3. This is due to the action() function in the TemplateData class passing user-supplied input from the 'emailkit-editor-template' REST API parameter directly to file_get_contents() without any path validation, sanitization, or restriction to an allowed directory. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access, to read arbitrary files on the server (such as /etc/passwd or wp-config.php) by supplying a traversal path. The file contents are stored as post meta and can subsequently be retrieved via the fetch-data REST API endpoint. Notably, the CheckForm class in the same plugin implements proper path validation using realpath() and directory restriction, demonstrating that the developer was aware of the risk but failed to apply the same protections to the TemplateData endpoint.

    Product
EmailKit – Email Customizer for WooCommerce & WP

  • Mar 19, 2026Instant Popup Builder: Unauthenticated Arbitrary Shortcode ExecutionCVE-2026-3475 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3

The Instant Popup Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unauthenticated Arbitrary Shortcode Execution in all versions up to and including 1.1.7. This is due to the handle_email_verification_page() function constructing a shortcode string from user-supplied GET parameters (token, email) and passing it to do_shortcode() without properly sanitizing square bracket characters, combined with missing authorization checks on the init hook. While sanitize_text_field() and esc_attr() are applied, neither function strips or escapes square bracket characters ([ and ]). WordPress's shortcode regex uses [^\]\/]* to match content inside shortcode tags, meaning a ] character in the token value prematurely closes the shortcode tag. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject and execute arbitrary registered shortcodes by crafting a malicious token parameter containing ] followed by arbitrary shortcode syntax.

    Product
    Instant Popup Builder
    Affected
    up to 1.1.7
    What to do
Affects up to 1.1.7. Update Instant Popup Builder to the newest version and check its changelog mentions this fix; if there isn’t one yet, deactivate it until there is.

  • Feb 25, 2026Post Duplicator: Unauthorized arbitrary protected post meta insertionCVE-2026-2301 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The Post Duplicator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized arbitrary protected post meta insertion in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.8. This is due to the `duplicate_post()` function in `includes/api.php` using `$wpdb->insert()` directly to the `wp_postmeta` table instead of WordPress's standard `add_post_meta()` function, which would call `is_protected_meta()` to prevent lower-privileged users from setting protected meta keys (those starting with `_`). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary protected post meta keys such as `_wp_page_template`, `_wp_attached_file`, and other sensitive meta keys on duplicated posts via the `customMetaData` JSON array parameter in the `/wp-json/post-duplicator/v1/duplicate-post` REST API endpoint.

  • Feb 18, 2026SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle: Unauthorized arbitrary shortcode executionCVE-2026-2127 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.4

The SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized arbitrary shortcode execution in all versions up to, and including, 1.70.4. This is due to a missing capability check on the `siteorigin_widget_preview_widget_action()` function which is registered via the `wp_ajax_so_widgets_preview` AJAX action. The function only verifies a nonce (`widgets_action`) but does not check user capabilities. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to execute arbitrary shortcodes by invoking the `SiteOrigin_Widget_Editor_Widget` via the preview endpoint. The required nonce is exposed on the public frontend when the Post Carousel widget is present on a page, embedded in the `data-ajax-url` HTML attribute.

  • Feb 11, 2026Migration, Backup, Staging – WPvivid Backup & Migration: Unauthenticated Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-1357 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The Migration, Backup, Staging – WPvivid Backup & Migration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Upload in versions up to and including 0.9.123. This is due to improper error handling in the RSA decryption process combined with a lack of path sanitization when writing uploaded files. When the plugin fails to decrypt a session key using openssl_private_decrypt(), it does not terminate execution and instead passes the boolean false value to the phpseclib library's AES cipher initialization. The library treats this false value as a string of null bytes, allowing an attacker to encrypt a malicious payload using a predictable null-byte key. Additionally, the plugin accepts filenames from the decrypted payload without sanitization, enabling directory traversal to escape the protected backup directory. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary PHP files to publicly accessible directories and achieve Remote Code Execution via the wpvivid_action=send_to_site parameter.

    Product
Migration, Backup, Staging – WPvivid Backup & Migration
    Affected
    up to 0.9.123

  • Feb 6, 2026WP Duplicate: Missing Authorization leading to Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-1499 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The WP Duplicate plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization leading to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to and including 1.1.8. This is due to a missing capability check on the `process_add_site()` AJAX action combined with path traversal in the file upload functionality. This makes it possible for authenticated (subscriber-level) attackers to set the internal `prod_key_random_id` option, which can then be used by an unauthenticated attacker to bypass authentication checks and write arbitrary files to the server via the `handle_upload_single_big_file()` function, ultimately leading to remote code execution.

    Product
    WP Duplicate
    Affected
    up to 1.1.8
    What to do
Affects up to 1.1.8. Update WP Duplicate to the newest version and check its changelog mentions this fix; if there isn’t one yet, deactivate it until there is.

The Tune Library plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via CSV import in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.3. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses the injected page. The vulnerability exists because the CSV import functionality lacks authorization checks and doesn't sanitize imported data, which is later rendered without escaping through the [tune-library] shortcode.
