  • Aug 21, 2026Defuddle cleans up HTML pages.CVE-2026-61824 · Other software · kepano · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

Defuddle cleans up HTML pages. Prior to 0.19.1, site extractors interpolate page-derived image alt and src values, og:image values, and video descriptions into HTML strings without context-appropriate escaping, and buildExtractorResponse() returns this contentHtml without the main pipeline's DOM-based sanitization. The affected paths include src/extractors/x-article.ts, src/extractors/substack.ts, and src/extractors/youtube.ts. A malicious page or attacker-controlled content on a matching domain can inject event-handler attributes or javascript URLs that execute when a victim or downstream application renders the extracted HTML. • Aug 21, 2026The report.list procedure in packages/trpc/src/routers/report.ts accepted a projectId and a dashboardId and returned getReportsByDashboardId(dashboardId).CVE-2026-77769 · Other software · Openpanel-dev · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1

The report.list procedure in packages/trpc/src/routers/report.ts accepted a projectId and a dashboardId and returned getReportsByDashboardId(dashboardId). The enforceAccess middleware in packages/trpc/src/trpc.ts verified membership for the supplied projectId, but nothing verified that the supplied dashboardId belonged to that project, and getReportsByDashboardId in packages/db/src/services/reports.service.ts selects reports by dashboardId alone with no project scoping. An authenticated user could therefore pair a projectId from their own organization, which satisfies the middleware, with a dashboardId belonging to another organization and receive every report in that dashboard. A correctly scoped helper, listReportsCore, already existed in the same service file and resolves the dashboard through getDashboardById(dashboardId, projectId) before returning reports, but the router did not use it.

  • Aug 21, 2026The report.get procedure in packages/trpc/src/routers/report.ts accepted only a reportId and returned getReportById(reportId) directly.CVE-2026-77768 · Other software · Openpanel-dev · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1

The report.get procedure in packages/trpc/src/routers/report.ts accepted only a reportId and returned getReportById(reportId) directly. The enforceAccess middleware in packages/trpc/src/trpc.ts evaluates membership only when the input carries a projectId or organizationId key, so an input consisting of a reportId alone passed through unchecked, and getReportById in packages/db/src/services/reports.service.ts performs a findUnique on the report id with no project scoping. Any authenticated user could therefore read the full configuration of any saved report on the instance, including the owning projectId, event series, filters, breakdowns and formulas, by supplying its identifier. The adjacent update, delete and duplicate procedures resolve the report first and check getProjectAccess against the report's own projectId, so the omission was specific to this procedure.

  • Aug 20, 2026msgpack_unpacker_expand_buffer in src/unpack.c, reached through the public msgpack_unpacker_reserve_buffer API, computes its new buffer size using an unchecked CVE-2026-72854 · Other software · msgpack · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.8

msgpack_unpacker_expand_buffer in src/unpack.c, reached through the public msgpack_unpacker_reserve_buffer API, computes its new buffer size using an unchecked size_t addition of the requested size and the amount already used. The doubling loop guards its own multiplication against overflow, but the addition in the loop condition is unguarded, so a request near SIZE_MAX wraps: the loop condition is already satisfied, the allocation is performed at the small pre-wrap size, and the function returns true. The caller is told the requested capacity was reserved when it was not, so a subsequent write of the requested length overflows the heap buffer. The library's own example/lib_buffer_unpack.c demonstrates the reserve-then-write pattern, and its defensive assert comparing capacity against the request is compiled out under NDEBUG. msgpack-c's own decode entry points do not derive the reservation size from untrusted input, so reaching this requires an integration that passes an attacker-influenced length to the reservation API, such as a length-prefixed streaming transport.

  • Aug 19, 2026The IPv6 neighbor-discovery code in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c processes the 6LoWPAN Context Option (6CO, RFC 6775) carried inside ICMPv6 Router Advertisements.CVE-2026-12633 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.1

The IPv6 neighbor-discovery code in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c processes the 6LoWPAN Context Option (6CO, RFC 6775) carried inside ICMPv6 Router Advertisements. In handle_ra_6co() the 8-bit context_len field is taken directly from the packet and was never bounded to the RFC maximum of 128. The function computes context->context_len / 8 and then performs memset(context->prefix + context_len, 0, sizeof(context->prefix) - context_len), where context->prefix is a fixed 16-byte array. With context_len between 136 and 255 (and the option length field set to 3, which the pre-fix validation accepts), context_len / 8 evaluates to 17..31, so the memset length 16 - context_len/8 underflows the unsigned size_t argument to roughly SIZE_MAX. This produces an unbounded out-of-bounds memset that zeroes kernel memory well past the 6lo context structure. The defect is reachable from unauthenticated, link-local input: any host on the same link can send a crafted Router Advertisement with a 6CO option. The RA handler validates only the option length field before calling handle_ra_6co(), so a single packet triggers the wild write. The code is compiled when CONFIG_NET_6LO_CONTEXT is enabled. The impact

  • Aug 17, 2026Pandora contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the rendering of URL observables.CVE-2026-75531 · Other software · pandora-analysis · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 7

Pandora contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the rendering of URL observables. A URL extracted from or associated with an analyzed file was inserted directly into the inline JavaScript onclick handler used by the Submit to Lookyloo action. Although the value was subject to HTML escaping by the template engine, it was embedded inside a JavaScript string within an HTML attribute. An attacker-controlled URL containing specially crafted characters could therefore break out of the JavaScript string and inject arbitrary JavaScript code. The malicious script would execute in the context of the Pandora web application when a victim interacts with the affected Submit to Lookyloo control. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to access information available to the victim's browser or perform actions using the victim's authenticated Pandora session. The patch removes the observable value from the inline JavaScript handler. The URL is instead stored in an HTML data-url attribute and retrieved through the DOM dataset API when needed. Additional uses of innerHTML were also replaced with textContent as defensive hardening.

Pandora is affected by a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the PDF download functionality. The /task-download/<task_id>/.../pdf endpoint verifies that the submitted file is a PDF using Pandora's content-based file-type detection, but previously returned the file using send_file(task.file.path) without explicitly specifying the MIME type or forcing it to be downloaded as an attachment. Because Flask determines the response MIME type from the filename when a path is supplied, an attacker could submit a file whose content is recognized by Pandora as a PDF while its filename or extension causes the download endpoint to return it with a different, potentially active MIME type. A specially crafted PDF/polyglot file could therefore be served inline and interpreted by a victim's browser as HTML or another executable web format. If a victim with access to the submitted analysis follows the PDF download link, attacker-controlled script could execute in the security context of the Pandora application, potentially allowing access to application data or actions using the victim's session. The patch prevents the issue by explicitly returning PDF downloads with Content-Type: ap

Zephyr's 6LoWPAN IP Header Compression (IPHC) uncompression code contains an out-of-bounds read in get_ihpc_inlined_size() (subsys/net/ip/6lo.c). The destination inline size is looked up in da_inline_size_table, which has 13 entries, using an index built from the M, DAC and DAM bits of the received IPHC dispatch word (iphc & NET_6LO_IPHC_DA_MASK, a 4-bit value of 0-15). The reserved combinations 13, 14 and 15 are not bounds-checked and read past the end of the table. The iphc word is taken directly from the received frame, and get_ihpc_inlined_size() is reached on every inbound 6LoWPAN frame via net_6lo_uncompress() from the 802.15.4 receive path (subsys/net/l2/ieee802154/ieee802154_6lo.c and ieee802154_6lo_fragment.c). An unauthenticated attacker on the radio/adjacent link can therefore craft a frame whose destination addressing-mode nibble selects an out-of-range index, with no privileges or user interaction. The out-of-bounds value becomes the computed inline_size, which then drives header reconstruction before the buffer-length check: it is used to dereference *(pkt->buffer->data + sizeof(iphc) + inline_size) and to compute a size_t diff that can underflow, leading to a furth

  • Aug 16, 2026Toocheke Companion: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-15604 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The Toocheke Companion plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in versions up to, and including, 2.10 via the 'series_bg_color' post meta field. This is due to insufficient input sanitization in the toocheke_series_bg_color_save() function (which stores the raw $_POST value in post meta) and insufficient output escaping in the series admin column rendering (where the stored value is concatenated into a style attribute without esc_attr()). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user, such as an administrator, accesses the series list table in the admin dashboard.

  • Aug 15, 2026Pandora contains a denial-of-service vulnerability in its handling of DAA (Direct Access Archive) files.CVE-2026-74767 · Other software · pandora-analysis · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 8.7

Pandora contains a denial-of-service vulnerability in its handling of DAA (Direct Access Archive) files. When extracting the internal ISO image from a DAA archive, compressed chunks were decompressed using zlib.decompress() without enforcing a limit on the resulting uncompressed data. An attacker able to submit a crafted DAA file containing highly compressed data could cause Pandora to decompress a relatively small input into a very large amount of data in memory. Because the decompressed chunks are accumulated to construct the internal ISO image, this could result in excessive memory consumption and potentially CPU exhaustion, causing the extraction worker to become unresponsive, terminate, or affect the availability of the Pandora service. The patch introduces bounded decompression using decompressobj().decompress() with max_extracted_filesize, verifies the cumulative size of decompressed chunks, and raises a dedicated ZipBomb exception when the configured limit is exceeded. Pandora then aborts extraction and reports the file as too large.

  • Aug 15, 2026Pandora contains a path traversal vulnerability in its TAR archive extraction functionality.CVE-2026-74764 · Other software · pandora-analysis · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Critical 10

Pandora contains a path traversal vulnerability in its TAR archive extraction functionality. When processing a submitted TAR archive, the extractor passed archive member names directly to Python's tarfile.TarFile.extract() without applying an extraction filter. An attacker able to submit a specially crafted TAR archive containing malicious member paths, such as paths using ../ sequences or absolute paths, could cause extracted files to be written outside the intended extraction directory. This may allow the attacker to overwrite files accessible to the Pandora worker process and could potentially result in application compromise, arbitrary code execution, or denial of service depending on the files targeted and the privileges of the Pandora process. The vulnerability is corrected by using Python's filter='data' extraction filter, which rejects or sanitizes dangerous TAR members, including paths that escape the destination directory and unsafe link targets. The weakness corresponds to MITRE's general path traversal category, which includes archive extraction cases where attacker-controlled filenames cause files to be written outside the intended directory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: reject firmware sections with oversized data In panthor_fw_load_section_entry(), the data size to copy is calculated without validating it against the allocated section_size: section->data.size = hdr.data.end - hdr.data.start; If a crafted firmware sets data.size larger than the allocated memory, this could cause a heap buffer overflow in panthor_fw_init_section_mem() memcpy(section->mem->kmap, section->data.buf, section->data.size); Additionally, if the section->data.size exceeds the BO size, could this memset underflow the size calculation, leading to a massive out-of-bounds zeroing of kernel memory? memset(section->mem->kmap + section->data.size, 0, panthor_kernel_bo_size(section->mem) - section->data.size); Reject section entries whose initial data is larger than the section size.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: validate firmware interface structure sizes iface_fw_to_cpu_addr() only checks that the firmware-provided MCU virtual address points inside the shared section. The returned pointer is later used as a full firmware interface structure, so accepting an address near the end of the shared section can still lead to out-of-bounds accesses. Pass the expected object size to iface_fw_to_cpu_addr() and reject ranges that do not fit entirely in the shared section.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: xilinx: use FIFO occupancy register to determine buffer size The method the driver uses to determine the size of the FIFO has a problem. What it currently does is this: It stops the SPI hardware and writes to the TX FIFO register until TX FIFO FULL asserts in the status register. But the hardware does not only have the FIFO, it also has a shift register which can hold a byte. This can be seen, when writing a byte to the FIFO (while the SPI hardware is stopped,) the TX FIFO EMPTY is still empty. So, if we have a FIFO size of 16 for example, the current method returns a 17. This is a problem, at least when using the driver in irq mode. The same size determined for the TX FIFO is also assumed for the RX FIFO. When a SPI transaction wants to write the amount of the FIFO size or more bytes, the following happens, for example with 16 bytes FIFO size: The driver stops the SPI hardware and writes 17 bytes to the TX FIFO and starts the SPI hardware and goes sleep. The hardware then shifts out 17 bytes (FIFO + shift register) and simultaneously reads bytes into the RX FIFO, but it only has 16 places, so it looses one

Otherwise, userspace can confuse the kernel. It can violate the assumption the region stays registered through the completion of cxl_add_to_region(). It can violate the assumption that devm_add_action_or_reset() is working with a live 'struct cxl_region'. It is ok for the region to disappear outside of those windows as that mirrors device hotplug flows where the proper locks are held.
