Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipip: fix skb leak in collect_md mode when metadata_dst allocation fails In collect_md modCVE-2026-89565 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipip: fix skb leak in collect_md mode when metadata_dst allocation fails In collect_md mode ipip_tunnel_rcv() returns 0 without freeing the skb when ip_tun_rx_dst() fails to allocate the metadata_dst. ipip_rcv() and mplsip_rcv() are registered as xfrm_tunnel handlers, so tunnel4_rcv() and tunnelmpls4_rcv() read the zero return as "the packet has been consumed" and do not free it either. The skb is leaked. The other tunnel drivers all dispose of the packet at this point: ip6_tunnel.c jumps to its drop label, ip_gre.c and ip6_gre.c return PACKET_REJECT, which makes gre_rcv() free the skb. Only ipip returns 0. Jump to the existing drop label instead. It frees the skb and still returns 0, so the packet keeps being reported as consumed, which is what we want here: the outer header has already been pulled, and neither the remaining handlers nor an ICMP unreachable have any use for it. Triggering this needs an ipip or mplsip tunnel in collect_md mode and an atomic allocation failure, which is why it has gone unnoticed.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: SUNRPC: always drain cache_cleaner before destroying a cache_detail sunrpc_destroy_cache_dCVE-2026-89548 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: SUNRPC: always drain cache_cleaner before destroying a cache_detail sunrpc_destroy_cache_detail() only cancels the global cache_cleaner delayed_work when cache_list is empty. During per-netns teardown cache_list is never empty because init_net's caches remain registered, so the cancel never fires. After unlink, the caller proceeds to cache_destroy_net() which kfrees the cache_detail while cache_clean() may still hold a dangling pointer to it. The result is a use-after-free: cache_dequeue() takes cd->queue_lock on freed memory, and cache_put() dereferences cd->cache_put as a function pointer from freed slab. Drop the list_empty guard so that cancel_delayed_work_sync() always runs, ensuring any in-flight cache_clean() completes before the cache_detail is freed. Re-arm the cleaner afterwards if other caches are still registered.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: validate directory-index entry counts when reading metadata ocfs2_validate_dx_leaf(CVE-2026-89492 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: validate directory-index entry counts when reading metadata ocfs2_validate_dx_leaf() and ocfs2_validate_dx_root() check the ECC and signature of an indexed-directory block before it reaches higher-level callers, but neither validator bounds the ocfs2_dx_entry_list counts against the capacity of the block that holds them. ocfs2_dx_dir_search() then walks for (i = 0; i < le16_to_cpu(entry_list->de_num_used); i++) dx_entry = &entry_list->de_entries[i]; over de_num_used entries with no bounds check. entry_list is either dx_leaf->dl_list (from ocfs2_read_dx_leaf) or, for an inline root, dx_root->dr_entries. A crafted on-disk image can set de_num_used (and de_count, which is the __counted_by_le() bound of de_entries) to 0xffff and make the walk read far past the end of the 4KB metadata block, giving a slab out-of-bounds read reachable from any path lookup, stat() or open() on an indexed directory once the image is mounted. Commit 775c17386a6f ("ocfs2: validate dx_root extent list fields during block read") already bounds dr_list for the non-inline dx_root, but left the inline dr_entries path and the dx_

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mwifiex: Detach sync cmd buffer on interrupted wait mwifiex synchronous commands keeCVE-2026-80944 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mwifiex: Detach sync cmd buffer on interrupted wait mwifiex synchronous commands keep the caller-provided data buffer in cmd_node->data_buf. Several callers pass stack-allocated objects there. If wait_event_interruptible_timeout() is interrupted, the caller can return and release that stack object while the firmware command is still the current command. A late firmware response then reaches the normal response handler, which can copy data through cmd_node->data_buf into the stale stack address. This fixes a stack corruption observed during repeated association and disassociation cycles. The panic trace showed the command wait being interrupted immediately before a bad pointer dereference: cmd_wait_q terminated: -512 Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 002c583837384662 Kernel panic - not syncing: stack-protector: Kernel stack is corrupted ... Tainted: [M]=MACHINE_CHECK The fault address decodes as little-endian ASCII: 0x002c583837384662 -> "bF878X,\0" which is a fragment of the VERSION_EXT firmware string exposed as debugfs "verext": w8997o-V4, RF878X, FP92, 16.92.2

Sep 7, 2026Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in ash-project usage_rules allows a malicious package publisher to inject terminal cCVE-2026-82710 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.3
Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in ash-project usage_rules allows a malicious package publisher to inject terminal control sequences into the output of mix usage_rules.search_docs. mix usage_rules.search_docs searches Hex documentation through search.hexdocs.pm, which indexes the documentation of every published package, and prints the matching results (title, package, type, doc reference, and highlighted snippets) to the terminal. The formatter in Mix.Tasks.UsageRules.SearchDocs interpolated those publisher-controlled fields verbatim, neutralizing no terminal control characters; the only transform it applied adds escape sequences rather than removing them. A malicious package can embed ANSI terminal escape sequences (cursor movement, line erase, carriage returns, OSC 52 clipboard writes) in its indexed documentation, so when a developer runs a search that surfaces those docs the sequences reach the terminal unchanged — forging the displayed hexdocs URL or a suggested command, hiding text, or writing to the clipboard. No authentication or privileged position is required; only publishing a package. This issue affects usage_rules: from 0.

Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in ash-project ash_authentication_oauth2_server allows an attacker who controls a client metadata URL and its DNS to make the server connect to internal or loopback addresses. public_ip?/1 in AshAuthentication.Oauth2Server.CIMD.ReqFetcher enforces the outbound policy for CIMD metadata fetches. It classified several address forms as publicly routable that are not: IPv4-compatible ::/96 (for example ::127.0.0.1), SIIT IPv4-translated ::ffff:0:0:0/96, and deprecated site-local fec0::/10. Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in ash-project igniter allows a malicious package publisher to forge the mix igniter.install confirmation prompt. mix igniter.install prints a confirmation panel (an anti-typosquatting safeguard) listing a package's hex metadata before adding it. The panel builder in Igniter.Project.Deps wrote publisher-controlled fields (meta.description, owner usernames, requirement names, version) to the terminal with only newlines stripped. A malicious or typosquatted package can embed ANSI terminal escape sequences (cursor movement, line erase, carriage returns) in its metadata to overwrite the panel, forging trusted author names and download counts while concealing the real ones, so a developer relying on the panel to vet the package is deceived into approving a malicious dependency. Sep 7, 2026Affected versions of MISP expose organisation metadata through the dashboard organisation picker without applying the same visibility restrictions enforced by tCVE-2026-86418 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Low 2.3
Affected versions of MISP expose organisation metadata through the dashboard organisation picker without applying the same visibility restrictions enforced by the normal organisation index and per-organisation view. The affected endpoint returned fields including: - organisation ID; - UUID; - name. When Security.hide_organisation_index_from_users was enabled, normal organisation enumeration was restricted, but the dashboard picker still queried all organisations. This allowed authenticated users to discover organisations that should have remained hidden from them. The fix calls Organisation::createConditions($this->Auth->user()) and appends the resulting ACL conditions to the picker query. Ordinary users are thereby limited to organisations associated with events or proposals they can already see, plus their own organisation, while users with the appropriate sharing-group privilege retain broader visibility. MISP's UiBeta theme collection view (app/View/Themed/UiBeta/Collections/view.ctp) performed a secondary query of member events by UUID without applying the caller's access control list (ACL). The CollectionsController::view() action correctly resolved collection element UUIDs through Event::fetchSimpleEvents($user, ...), which enforces per-user event ACL. However, the view template independently re-queried the same UUIDs using only an Event.uuid IN (...) condition, omitting the createEventConditions() authorization filter. Because collection element UUIDs are stored without server-side authorization against the referenced event (CollectionElementsController::add() accepts whatever UUID the collection owner posts), an authenticated user with view access to a collection could retrieve full details of events they are not permitted to read. The exposed data included event identifiers, info, dates, timestamps, creator organization, all event tags, and galaxy clusters (the latter attached via a cluster-scoped rather than event-scoped ACL check). This constitutes an authorization bypass at the presentation layer, allowing horizontal privilege escalation across event boundaries within the

Attackers with gym.manage_gym permission and gym=None affiliation can permanently delete user accounts, lock users out via deactivation, or undo defensive deactivations by exploiting the None != None comparison edge case.

Sep 5, 2026RouterOS WebFig contains an unauthenticated file-read vulnerability in the /jsproxy path where a newly allocated session retains a stale uninitialized principalCVE-2026-67281 · Network & remote access · Mikrotik · reported by cvd@cert.plHigh 8.7
RouterOS WebFig contains an unauthenticated file-read vulnerability in the /jsproxy path where a newly allocated session retains a stale uninitialized principal pointer used for file authorization. An unauthenticated attacker can prepare the allocator so that the file-serving path dereferences this pointer with sufficient rights, then supply parent-directory components in an encrypted URI to escape the WebFig file namespace and disclose root-owned files, including configuration stores containing credentials. This issue affects only 7.x branch was fixed in versions: 7.23.4 (Long-term) and 7.24.2 (Stable)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: fix invalidate lock leak on setattr writeback failure fuse_do_setattr() takes filemap_invalidate_lock() for a DAX truncate (fault_blocked = true) and releases it at the out:/error: labels. But when a writeback flush is also needed, a write_inode_now() failure returns directly and leaks the lock, so any later fault or truncate on the file stalls on the stale rwsem. For example, truncate(2) on a setuid file reaches fuse_do_setattr() with both ATTR_SIZE and ATTR_MODE set: truncate(2) └─ do_truncate() ├─ dentry_needs_remove_privs() # S_ISUID └─ notify_change() # KILL_SUID -> ATTR_MODE └─ fuse_setattr() # no killpriv: │ # ia_valid |= ATTR_MODE └─ fuse_do_setattr() ├─ filemap_invalidate_lock() # IS_DAX && is_truncate └─ write_inode_now() # is_wb && ATTR_MODE └─ if (err) # e.g. daemon -> -EIO return err # <- lock leaked Fix this by adding an unlock label that releases the lock before retu

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix missing metadata reservation for large xattrs [BUG] lsetxattr() panics the kernCVE-2026-80809 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix missing metadata reservation for large xattrs [BUG] lsetxattr() panics the kernel when setting a large xattr value on a fragmented filesystem where the file already has an external xattr block. [CAUSE] ocfs2_calc_xattr_set_need() never reserves metadata blocks for a new xattr value's extent tree when the file already has an external xattr block. The not_found path leaves meta_add at zero, so meta_ac is NULL when ocfs2_xattr_extend_allocation() runs. A new value root has room for a single extent record. On a fragmented filesystem, the allocator cannot satisfy the xattr value in one contiguous run, so each non-contiguous run requires its own extent record. When the value root's extent list is full and meta_ac is NULL, ocfs2_add_clusters_in_btree() returns RESTART_META, and ocfs2_xattr_extend_allocation() hits BUG_ON(why == RESTART_META). [FIX] The case where no xattr block exists yet already calls ocfs2_extend_meta_needed(&def_xv.xv.xr_list) to reserve value tree metadata. Add the same reservation to the case where an xattr block already exists, making the two cases consistent. Replace the BUG_ON wit
