Aug 12, 2026Vulnerability-Lookup contains an authentication weakness in its account activation and password-recovery mechanism.CVE-2026-73431 · Other software · vulnerability-lookup · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 8.8
Vulnerability-Lookup contains an authentication weakness in its account activation and password-recovery mechanism. Activation and recovery links were generated using stateless signed tokens containing only the user's login. Although the token signature and age were validated, the application did not track whether a token had already been successfully used. As a result, a captured activation or password-recovery link remained valid for the entire configured TOKEN_VALIDITY_PERIOD, even after the associated password had been changed. An attacker who obtains a valid activation or recovery token could therefore replay it multiple times during its validity period to set a new password and repeatedly take control of the affected account. In addition, tokens were not bound to a specific purpose, allowing the same token mechanism to be used across activation and recovery workflows. The patch introduces purpose-bound tokens and a random nonce whose SHA-256 digest is stored with the user account. The nonce is invalidated after a successful password change, making tokens single-use, while issuing a new token invalidates any previously issued token. The password-setting ope

Aug 11, 2026Social Login, Passkeys, Magic Link & Email OTP – Passwordless Login by VentraConnect: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-18961 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The Social Login, Passkeys, Magic Link & Email OTP – Passwordless Login by VentraConnect plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via Unverified Provider Email in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.3. This is due to the plugin trusting the unverified email field returned by Spotify's /v1/me endpoint as proof of mailbox ownership — Generic::normalize_common() copies this value into the normalized profile without requiring an email_verified assertion, and User_Links::link_or_login_user() subsequently passes it directly to get_user_by('email', $email) and issues a persistent authentication cookie via wp_set_auth_cookie() without a provider-specific verified-email gate, a local mailbox challenge, or a logged-in approval step. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing WordPress user, including Administrators, by supplying a known target email address through a controlled Spotify OAuth flow, gaining full administrative access to the site.

Aug 7, 2026Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid's Webbox application handles password changes using a function triggered by including the string "(editini)" in the file path, CVE-2026-54209 · Other software · Tobit Laboratories AG · reported by vulnerability@ncsc.chHigh 8.9
Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid's Webbox application handles password changes using a function triggered by including the string "(editini)" in the file path, writing the new password to the specified "Archive.ini" file. However, the application does not verify that the provided path actually refers to an "Archive.ini" file. If an attacker specifies a different file with excessive size, a buffer overflow occurs. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to crash the server, resulting in denial of service. This issue affects TeamDavid before Rollout 528. Aug 5, 2026The Membership Plugin – Kadence Memberships plugin for WordPress (formerly Restrict Content) is vulnerable to password reset link poisoning leading to account tCVE-2026-9273 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.3
The Membership Plugin – Kadence Memberships plugin for WordPress (formerly Restrict Content) is vulnerable to password reset link poisoning leading to account takeover in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.0. This is due to the legacy lost-password handler rc_process_lost_password_form() consuming the attacker-controlled rc_redirect POST parameter into two unvalidated sinks in legacy/includes/forms.php: wp_redirect( esc_url( $_POST['rc_redirect'] ) . ... ) at line 243, and add_query_arg( array( 'key' => $key, 'login' => ... ), $_POST['rc_redirect'] ) inside rc_send_password_reset_email() at line 306. The nonce required to reach the handler is broadcast by the public [login_form] shortcode at line 207 to any anonymous visitor. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to issue a password-reset request for any account (including administrators) whose reset email body points the victim at an attacker-controlled host carrying a valid reset key/login. When the victim clicks the link, the reset key leaks to the attacker, who can replay it against the legitimate site to complete account takeover.

Aug 4, 2026In Eclipse Jetty, the Digest authentication server-side component uses ISO-8859-1 to encode the password as bytes.CVE-2026-10050 · Other software · Eclipse Foundation · reported by emo@eclipse.orgHigh 8.7
In Eclipse Jetty, the Digest authentication server-side component uses ISO-8859-1 to encode the password as bytes. This was done because the initial specification for HTTP did not specify explicitly a charset, and it was assumed to be ISO-8859-1 for historical reasons. If the password contains characters that cannot be represented in ISO-8859-1, they are silently replaced by `?`. This happens with passwords that contain Chinese, Cyrillic or Greek characters, for example: `αβ123` converts to `??123`. An attacker can send a request with a digest `Authorization` header crafted with a password made of only `?` characters; the server would match any password of the same length that contains non-ISO-8859-1 characters. Recent HTTP Digest [RFC-7616](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc7616) supports a `charset` parameters that defaults to UTF-8 that allows for correct encoding/decoding of passwords.

Jul 31, 2026The MASTER_PASSWORD_HOOK setting, introduced in pgAdmin 4 7.2, lets an administrator configure an external command that returns a per-user encryption key, with CVE-2026-17347 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 7.7
The MASTER_PASSWORD_HOOK setting, introduced in pgAdmin 4 7.2, lets an administrator configure an external command that returns a per-user encryption key, with %u in the configured string replaced by the current user's name. The previous implementation substituted the username directly into the command string and executed the result with subprocess.Popen(..., shell=True). Because the username can originate from an external authentication source (OAuth/OIDC claims, Kerberos, webserver auth) rather than a value pgAdmin fully controls, a username containing shell metacharacters (';', '$()', backticks, pipes, '&&', newlines) allowed an authenticated user to execute arbitrary commands as the pgAdmin service account in any deployment where the configured hook string uses %u. Fix tokenises the trusted, administrator-configured hook string into an argument vector first (using shlex in POSIX-quoting mode, with backslash-escaping disabled so Windows-style paths are not mis-parsed), substitutes the untrusted username into the individual argv elements, and executes with shell=False. The username is therefore always confined to a single argv element; any shell metacharacters it contains are in

Jul 31, 2026A provisioning script used when installing HIPASE-250 (formerly 250 SCALA) engineering workstations sets a fixed, hard-coded x11vnc password.CVE-2026-65313 · Other software · ANDRITZ · reported by office@cyberdanube.comHigh 8.1
A provisioning script used when installing HIPASE-250 (formerly 250 SCALA) engineering workstations sets a fixed, hard-coded x11vnc password. Jul 30, 2026An out-of-bounds read flaw was found in Samba's Kerberos Key Distribution Center's (KDC) password change (kpasswd) service.CVE-2026-58216 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.3
An out-of-bounds read flaw was found in Samba's Kerberos Key Distribution Center's (KDC) password change (kpasswd) service. When processing malformed ASN.1-encoded Kerberos password change request, Samba server miscalculates the structure size and attempts to read up to six bytes beyond the end of the allocated buffer. While this out-of-bounds read typically results in a harmless decryption failure, if the read hits unmapped memory, it causes the KDC process to crash. An authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted kpasswd request containing malformed ASN.1 data to trigger the out-of-bounds read, which may cause the KDC process to terminate, resulting in a denial of service.

Jul 30, 2026A logic vulnerability in the password reset token validation routine implemented by osTicket in versions prior to v1.17.8 and v1.18.4.CVE-2026-18363 · Other software · Enhancesoft LLC · reported by cve-coordination@incibe.esCritical 9.1
A logic vulnerability in the password reset token validation routine implemented by osTicket in versions prior to v1.17.8 and v1.18.4. During the password reset process, the application retrieves the timestamp associated with the provided token and checks whether the configured validity period has expired. Consequently, the expiry check is only performed if the timestamp lookup fails, allowing tokens with an existing timestamp to bypass the intended expiry validation. Therefore, an attacker able to obtain a valid password reset token could reuse it to perform an unauthorised password reset and compromise the affected account.
