  • Sep 3, 2026parsedmarc 9.0.6 before 11.0.1 writes forensic report sample files using an output path derived from the email subject.CVE-2026-82521 · Other software · domainaware · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.3

parsedmarc 9.0.6 before 11.0.1 writes forensic report sample files using an output path derived from the email subject. When the subject consists entirely of path traversal sequences, the filename sanitization function produces an empty string, and a fallback to the raw unsanitized subject causes the resulting file to be written outside the intended samples directory. An attacker who can cause a forensic failure report with a crafted Subject to be processed can write a dot-prefixed file with attacker-controlled content to an ancestor directory of the configured samples output path. Exploitation requires that file output for forensic report samples is enabled.

  • Sep 3, 2026A vulnerability in MISP's email-based one-time password (OTP) authentication flow allowed an attacker to perform an unrestricted number of OTP verification atteCVE-2026-85237 · Other software · misp · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 8.6

A vulnerability in MISP's email-based one-time password (OTP) authentication flow allowed an attacker to perform an unrestricted number of OTP verification attempts. The email_otp() endpoint did not apply brute-force protection when validating submitted OTP values. An attacker who had reached the OTP verification stage, for example after successfully providing a user's primary authentication credentials, could repeatedly submit candidate OTP values while the same OTP remained valid. This significantly increased the feasibility of guessing the OTP and bypassing the additional authentication factor, potentially resulting in unauthorized access to the affected user's account. The issue was exacerbated by the fact that the OTP is associated with the user rather than with an individual pending login session, allowing multiple concurrent sessions to attempt guesses against the same valid OTP. The patch integrates the existing MISP brute-force protection mechanism into the email OTP flow. Failed OTP attempts are now counted against the user, further attempts are rejected once the configured threshold is reached, and the active OTP is invalidated when the attempt budget is exhausted.

n8n before 1.123.73, 2.35.4, and 2.36.2 contains a credential exposure vulnerability in the Strapi, SeaTable, and Mailcheck nodes. These nodes send their decrypted credentials to the authentication endpoint via the raw legacy HTTP helper outside any error handling, causing the plaintext secret to be persisted in execution error data. • Sep 1, 2026Mail is an internet library for Ruby designed to handle email generation, parsing, and sending.CVE-2026-63435 · Other software · mikel · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Mail is an internet library for Ruby designed to handle email generation, parsing, and sending. Prior to 2.9.1, Mail::Utilities.q_value_decode and Mail::Utilities.b_value_decode used a single String#match and an overly greedy charset capture to decode only the first RFC 2047 encoded-word and mishandle surrounding or subsequent text. A crafted malformed encoded-word in an address display name or local part could cross ? delimiters and make decoded From, To, or Reply-To header values differ from the raw values inspected by a human reviewer or downstream parser, enabling apparent sender or recipient spoofing, phishing, or authorization-check bypass. This issue is fixed in version 2.9.1.

Nodemailer before 8.0.4 is vulnerable to SMTP command injection through the unsanitized envelope.size parameter. When an application passes a custom envelope object with a size property containing CRLF characters to sendMail(), the value is concatenated into the SMTP MAIL FROM command (as SIZE=...) without sanitization, allowing injection of arbitrary SMTP commands such as RCPT TO to silently add attacker-controlled recipients. Exploitation requires the application to expose the envelope size to attacker-controlled input, as Nodemailer does not include size in the default auto-constructed envelope.

An attacker that can send mail to a user can craft a message header that makes the IMAP THREAD command consume CPU disproportionate to the size of the message. When a mail client issues a THREAD command on the affected mailbox, this can cause degradation or denial of service for IMAP. Monitor system for abnormal CPU usage, kill the offending process and remove the offending message from the affected mailbox. Update to non-vulnerable version. No publicly available exploits are known.

Mail content stored by a user can be crafted so that it is interpreted as dsync protocol commands when an administrator later runs dsync with the stream protocol, for example during a migration. Injected commands can modify mailbox state on the destination during migration or replication, including internal mailbox attributes that a user should not be able to set directly. It can also cause dsync errors. Avoid running dsync with the stream protocol on mailboxes with untrusted content. Update to non-vulnerable version. No publicly available exploits are known.

  • Aug 28, 2026When mail_max_userip_connections is set (default 10) and reached, submission-login can crash with epoll() panic caused by file descriptor handling issues.CVE-2026-33263 · Other software · Open-Xchange GmbH · reported by security@open-xchange.comMedium 4.3

When mail_max_userip_connections is set (default 10) and reached, submission-login can crash with epoll() panic caused by file descriptor handling issues. If running in high-security mode (default for community releases), only the new submission connection gets terminated. If running in high-performance mode (default for Pro releases), all connections handled by the submission-login process will be terminated. The crashes can cause failure for user to send a message, or it can cause duplicate messages to be sent. If TLS is not used (in the backend server processing the submission), duplicate deliveries cannot happen, because the crash can only happen at AUTH stage. Limit the number of connections handled by single submission-login process. This has a performance impact though. Update to non-vulnerable version. No publicly available exploits are known.

An attacker that can send mail to a user can craft a message whose headers contain a very large number of email addresses or MIME parameters, which causes excessive memory usage when the message is later parsed. The message is still delivered, but reading it over IMAP can exhaust the memory limit of the process and terminate it, causing denial of service for the affected user. Update to non-vulnerable version. No publicly available exploits are known.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/amdxdna: Guard management mailbox channel cleanup against NULL pointer The management mailbox channel cleanup helpers can be called from error handling paths when mgmt_chann has already been destroyed. Add NULL checks to xdna_mailbox_free_channel() and xdna_mailbox_stop_channel() so the cleanup path safely returns instead of dereferencing a NULL mailbox channel pointer.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soc: xilinx: Shutdown and free rx mailbox channel A mbox rx channel is requested using mbox_request_channel_byname() in probe. In remove callback, the rx mailbox channel is cleaned up when the rx_chan is NULL due to incorrect condition check. The mailbox channel is not shutdown and it can receive messages even after the device removal. This leads to use after free. Also the channel resources are not freed. Fix this by checking the rx_chan correctly.

  • Aug 27, 2026Dolibarr 9.0.0 through 23.0.4 saves inbound email attachments under the name supplied in the message's MIME headers without reducing it to a safe basename.CVE-2026-81730 · Other software · Dolibarr · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.8

Dolibarr 9.0.0 through 23.0.4 saves inbound email attachments under the name supplied in the message's MIME headers without reducing it to a safe basename. The global saveAttachment() in htdocs/emailcollector/lib/emailcollector.lib.php builds $filepath = $path . $filename . '.' . $ext and hands it to file_put_contents(), and the private saveAttachment() in htdocs/emailcollector/class/emailcollector.class.php writes to $destdir.'/'.$filename; the name reaches both from the attachment's own getName() or getFilename() value by way of the record-join, create-ticket and create-project operations. A traversal sequence in the filename therefore survives intact, so any sender who can email a mailbox that an EmailCollector monitors, which is the module's ordinary use for a support or ticket inbox, can place attacker-controlled content outside the per-object attachment directory without holding a Dolibarr account. Under the hardened layout Dolibarr's SECURITY.md requires, with htdocs read-only, the write is confined to the documents tree and corrupts or forges other objects' documents; where htdocs is writable the same primitive reaches a web-executable path. • Aug 27, 2026Affected versions of Flowintel incorrectly attempted to validate login email addresses by calling Email(email).CVE-2026-81827 · Other software · flowintel · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.9

Affected versions of Flowintel incorrectly attempted to validate login email addresses by calling Email(email). That does not perform WTForms field validation; it merely constructs a validator object. Consequently, malformed attacker-controlled email input could continue through the login process and be written to security-relevant logs. The vulnerable code inserted the supplied email into both a warning log and the custom audit logger. Since CR/LF characters were not escaped, an unauthenticated attacker could potentially inject additional physical log lines or forge misleading log entries. The patch corrects the validation call to Email()(form, form.email), changes the standard logging call to parameterized logging, and introduces _sanitize_log_fragment() so carriage returns and line feeds are encoded instead of creating new records. Version impacted >=3.3.0
