Aug 26, 2026Tutor LMS: Does not validate values used to build a database queryCVE-2026-19094 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanMedium 5.3
The Tutor LMS WordPress plugin before 4.0.6 does not validate values used to build a database query, and does not restrict which template file a request may load, allowing unauthenticated users to inject SQL and to read question and answer content belonging to courses that are not publicly available. The injected text reaches the query as grammar rather than as data, and on the database engines tested it does not yield extraction of arbitrary data, so the confidentiality impact is the disclosed course content rather than the database at large.

Aug 25, 2026Issue summary: OpenSSL CMS decryption sizes the key-unwrap output buffer based on querying the unwrapped key size, but the AES-WRAP-PAD unwrap primitive can wriCVE-2026-63072 · Websites & servers · OpenSSL · reported by openssl-security@openssl.orgHigh 7.5
Issue summary: OpenSSL CMS decryption sizes the key-unwrap output buffer based on querying the unwrapped key size, but the AES-WRAP-PAD unwrap primitive can write and cleanse more bytes than that query reports, causing an 8-byte out-of-bounds heap write. Impact summary: An attacker who supplies a crafted CMS message can trigger a deterministic 8-byte out-of-bounds heap write when the victim decrypts it with CMS_decrypt(), corrupting the heap and typically resulting in a Denial of Service. CWE: CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write Description: The key-wrap OID is potentially attacker-controlled on the wire. CMS unwrapping allows both id-aesNNN-wrap-pad and id-aesNNN-wrap ciphers. An attacker can take a legitimate message and change a single OID byte to select the padded variant while leaving the message otherwise valid. Since the unwrap key is derived from the recipient's private operation (ECDH key agreement or ML-KEM decapsulation), the RFC 5649 integrity check cannot pass, and the decryption fails with integrity failure. The write is a fixed-size (8-byte), fixed-value (zero) heap overflow immediately past the allocation, requires no special configuration, and is reachable from the pu

Aug 21, 2026CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals.CVE-2026-53509 · Other software · ondata · reported by GitHubMedium 5.7
CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. A known vulnerability CVE-2026-33060 indicated tools including ckan_package_search and sparql_query that accept a base_url parameter had the risk of making HTTP requests to arbitrary endpoints without restriction. A fix was applied to filter out ip addresses. However, a method to bypass exists prior to version 0.4.106. CKAN MCP Server validates caller-supplied CKAN server URLs by inspecting only the parsed hostname string before issuing outbound HTTP requests. In `src/utils/http.ts`, hostname aliases such as `ip6-localhost` are not equal to `localhost`, are not dotted IPv4 literals, and are not bracketed IPv6 literals, so they pass the SSRF filter but can resolve to loopback when the server performs the request. A remote MCP caller that can invoke CKAN tools with a `server_url` can therefore make the server connect to local or private addresses and, for CKAN-shaped responses, receive response-derived data. The updated fix in version 0.4.106 replaced the single `hostname === 'localhost'` check with a blocked-hostname `Set` covering `ip6-localhost` and `ip6-loopback`.

Aug 21, 2026JSONata is a JSON query and transformation language.CVE-2026-77415 · Other software · jsonata-js · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
JSONata is a JSON query and transformation language. Prior to 1.8.8 and 2.2.1, crafted JSONata expressions could chain several object-integrity weaknesses to execute arbitrary code. The chain could overwrite $clone to mutate objects through evaluateTransformExpression, expose and deconstruct JSONata functions or lambdas through $merge.*, replace proc.arguments.forEach used by applyProcedure, and forge internal lambda state. These primitives allowed an attacker to reach prototype getters, prototype and constructor access, and process.getBuiltinModule with child_process, executing code with the privileges of the host process. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.8 and 2.2.1.

Aug 19, 2026In OpenStack Aodh before 22.0.1, the alarm list API bypasses project scoping when the all_projects query parameter is set to false.CVE-2026-76878 · Other software · OpenStack · reported by MITREHigh 8.4
In OpenStack Aodh before 22.0.1, the alarm list API bypasses project scoping when the all_projects query parameter is set to false. The API checks for the presence of the all_projects key rather than its value; a true value enforces the administrator-only policy, but a false value removes the key and skips the branch that normally restricts results to the caller's project. A non-admin user with the reader role can list alarms from all projects, exposing alarm actions containing trust webhook URLs, Heat signal endpoints, project IDs, and user IDs. The parameter can also be combined with a foreign project_id to target a specific project's alarms. A related concern is that OpenStack Watcher does not apply authorization to its webhook trigger endpoint. Any authenticated user who learns an audit's webhook URL, for example from this leaked Aodh alarm metadata, can start an EVENT audit and its associated action plan regardless of their own project or role. The webhook endpoint has lacked policy enforcement since its introduction in the Ussuri release (Watcher 4.0.0).

Aug 16, 2026Query Wrangler: Remote Code ExecutionCVE-2026-14498 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Query Wrangler plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.57 via the 'options' parameter parameter. This is due to missing capability check and nonce verification on the wp_ajax_qw_form_ajax handler, combined with unsanitized attacker-controlled options fully replacing saved query options and being passed directly to call_user_func_array() guarded only by function_exists(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to execute code on the server. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: reject DX_BIND_QUERY without a DX context vmw_cmd_dx_bind_query() unconditionally dereferences sw_context->dx_ctx_node->ctx. Userspace can trigger a NULL pointer dereference from any render-node fd by submitting an execbuf with dx_context_handle == SVGA3D_INVALID_ID and a SVGA_3D_CMD_DX_BIND_QUERY opcode in the command stream: dx_ctx_node is left NULL and the kernel oopses on the assignment. The same NULL is then re-read in vmw_resources_reserve() via vmw_context_get_dx_query_mob(). All sibling DX handlers fail-close on a missing dx_ctx_node using VMW_GET_CTX_NODE(). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: fix BPF_PROG_QUERY OOB write and cgroup backward compat BPF_PROG_QUERY writes back the 'query.revision' field unconditionally to userspace. If userspace passes a smaller 'bpf_attr' structure (e.g. 40 bytes, which was the layout before the addition of 'query.revision'), the kernel performs an out-of-bounds write. Fix this by propagating the user-provided attribute size 'uattr_size' down to the cgroup query handlers, and conditionally skipping writing the revision field to userspace when the provided buffer size is insufficient. query.revision in bpf_mprog_query is structurally identical to the cgroup case: a late tail field, written unconditionally. But the backward-compat hazard is not the same. The min-historical-size test is per command, and bpf_mprog_query only serves attach types that were born with revision in the struct: - tcx_prog_query -> BPF_TCX_INGRESS/EGRESS - netkit_prog_query -> BPF_NETKIT_PRIMARY/PEER tcx, netkit, the revision field, and bpf_mprog_query itself all landed in the same v6.6 merge window (053c8e1f235d added the mprog query API + revision; tcx in e420bed02507, netkit in 35dfaa

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7925: validate skb length in testmode query In mt7925_tm_query(), the responCVE-2026-74324 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7925: validate skb length in testmode query In mt7925_tm_query(), the response skb from mt76_mcu_send_and_get_msg() is used in a memcpy without validating its length: memcpy(evt_resp, skb->data + 8, MT7925_EVT_RSP_LEN); where MT7925_EVT_RSP_LEN is 512. If the firmware returns a response shorter than 520 bytes (8 + 512), this reads beyond the skb data buffer. The over-read data is then returned to userspace via nla_put() in mt7925_testmode_dump(). Add a length check before the memcpy to ensure the skb contains sufficient data.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix overflow in passthrough ioctl bounds check smb2_ioctl_query_info() validaCVE-2026-72310 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix overflow in passthrough ioctl bounds check smb2_ioctl_query_info() validates the PASSTHRU_FSCTL response payload before copying it to userspace. The payload offset and length both come from 32-bit fields. The bounds check currently adds OutputOffset and qi.input_buffer_length directly, so the addition can wrap in 32-bit arithmetic before the result is compared against the response buffer length. A malicious server can use a large OutputOffset and a small OutputCount to make the wrapped sum pass the bounds check. The later copy_to_user() then reads from io_rsp + OutputOffset, outside the response buffer. Use size_add() for the offset plus length check so overflow is treated as out of bounds.

Aug 14, 2026CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals.CVE-2026-73846 · Other software · ondata · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. Prior to 0.4.112, canonicalizeParams in src/utils/cache.ts serializes request parameters with unescaped ampersand, equals-sign, and vertical-bar delimiters, allowing different logical parameter sets used by buildCacheKey to collide and an attacker to prime a shared cache with a response for a victim's distinct query. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.112.

CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. Prior to 0.4.112, the ckan_get_mqa_quality and ckan_get_mqa_quality_details tools in src/tools/quality.ts use isValidMqaServer to validate the server_url parameter with a prefix-only regular expression for dati.gov.it, allowing suffix-host and URL-userinfo values to target an attacker-controlled host and return a spoofed response. Aug 14, 2026CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals.CVE-2026-73844 · Other software · ondata · reported by GitHubLow 3.7
CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. Prior to 0.4.112, error paths reflect raw upstream response bodies and internal exception messages back to the caller instead of a sanitized, generic message. When the server is pointed at (or redirected/SSRF'd to) a host that returns a non-CKAN response, or when an internal exception occurs, the caller receives verbatim upstream content and internal detail (hostnames, internal IPs, DB errors, stack fragments). This vulnerability is fixed in 0.4.112.

Aug 14, 2026SiYuan versions <= v3.7.2 contain a SQL injection vulnerability in the backlink/mention search query (kernel/model/backlink.go), which concatenates stored blockCVE-2026-72811 · Other software · siyuan-note · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.9
SiYuan versions <= v3.7.2 contain a SQL injection vulnerability in the backlink/mention search query (kernel/model/backlink.go), which concatenates stored block metadata (title, name, alias, anchor text) and the client-supplied keyword into a SQL MATCH/search statement while escaping only the double-quote character and not the single quote. A single quote in the client keyword (first-order, reachable by an anonymous or RoleReader user on the publish surface) or in stored document metadata (second-order) breaks out of the string literal. Because the query runs on the main read-write siyuan.db handle via a statement-stacking-capable driver, an attacker can execute arbitrary SQL, enabling cross-notebook read and write. Fixed in v3.7.4.

The Paymob for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 4.1.9 does not properly sanitise a client-supplied identifier before using it in a SQL query within its public, unauthenticated payment callback, and performs this query before verifying the payment provider's HMAC signature. This allows unauthenticated attackers to perform SQL injection and read arbitrary data from the database — including user credentials and other secrets — through both in-band (reflected) and time-based blind extraction.

Aug 13, 2026Elasticsearch does not apply its configurable input length restriction to a user-supplied pattern accepted by an intervals query.CVE-2026-72679 · Other software · Elastic · reported by security@elastic.coMedium 6.5
Elasticsearch does not apply its configurable input length restriction to a user-supplied pattern accepted by an intervals query. Compiling a deeply nested pattern drives unbounded recursion that exhausts the thread stack and raises a fatal error, terminating the Elasticsearch node process and causing a denial of service for that node. An authenticated user holding only read-only privileges on a single searchable index can trigger the condition with one small search request.
