  • Sep 15, 2026Bugsink is a self-hosted error tracking tool.CVE-2026-53954 · Other software · bugsink · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

Bugsink is a self-hosted error tracking tool. Prior to version 2.2.2, Bugsink stores every set of custom tags supplied with an incoming event, allowing a caller with a valid project DSN to submit an unusually large tag set and force excessive tag-row writes. Because Bugsink uses a single-writer database architecture, the expensive write transaction delays digestion of other events and causes a temporary ingestion denial of service. Version 2.2.2 applies the configurable MAX_EVENT_TAGS limit before storage. The impact is limited to availability for an instance accepting the event and does not expose stored data, modify existing events, or allow code execution. This issue is fixed in version 2.2.2.

  • Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52828 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.58.0, ExportController::createExportTemplate() and ExportController::editExportTemplate() inherit only the class-level create_export permission, which ROLE_TEAMLEAD receives by default, and omit the create_export_template permission required by the API routes and user interface. A teamlead can directly access the export template creation and editing web routes to create or modify global ExportTemplate records marked available to all users, altering export columns, renderer, format, and output used by other users and administrators. This issue is fixed in version 2.58.0.

  • Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52827 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.59.0, the KIMAI_SESSION cookie issued after password verification but before TOTP completion is accepted by every /api route because config/packages/security.yaml protects the API with IS_AUTHENTICATED and App\API\Authentication\ApiRequestMatcher routes an existing session through the main firewall. A Scheb TwoFactorToken satisfies that access rule, and App\Voter\ApiVoter grants API access to its User, allowing an attacker with a valid account password to use authenticated REST API operations without entering the second factor even though web routes remain blocked. This issue is fixed in version 2.59.0.

  • Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52826 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.57.0, GET or POST requests to /en/admin/project/{id}/rate/{rate}, /en/admin/customer/{id}/rate/{rate}, and /en/admin/activity/{id}/rate/{rate} independently resolve the authorized parent identifier and the attacker-selected child rate identifier without confirming that the ProjectRate, CustomerRate, or ActivityRate belongs to that parent. An authenticated user who can edit one parent object can pair it with a rate record from an unauthorized project, customer, or activity and persist changes to billing configuration in kimai2_projects_rates, kimai2_customers_rates, or kimai2_activities_rates. This issue is fixed in version 2.57.0.

  • Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52825 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.58.0, POST /api/teams/{id}/members/{userId} and POST /api/teams/{id}/activities/{activityId} verify that a teamlead may edit the Team but do not verify access_user for the referenced User or view access for the referenced Activity. A teamlead can add users or activities outside the teamlead's manageable scope to an editable team, bypassing the narrower choices enforced by TeamEditForm and UserRepository::getQueryBuilderForFormType(). The resulting relationships can be trusted by RolePermissionManager::checkTeamAccessActivity() and other team-based authorization, visibility, reporting, and workflow logic. This issue is fixed in version 2.58.0.

  • Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52824 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.58.0, the official Docker image sets APP_SECRET to the public value change_this_to_something_unique in Dockerfile, and .docker/entrypoint.sh neither replaces nor rejects that value before Symfony uses it as kernel.secret. An unauthenticated attacker who reaches a deployment that did not override APP_SECRET, knows a username, correctly guesses the account ID associated with that username, and targets an account without active two-factor authentication can forge HMAC-protected authentication artifacts, including KIMAI_REMEMBER cookies and login links, to access the account without its password. The updated entrypoint generates and persists a random secret when no safe operator-provided value exists. This issue is fixed in version 2.58.0.

  • Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52823 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.58.0, TimesheetController exposes GET /api/timesheets/{id}/stop and GET /api/timesheets/{id}/restart, which reuse an authenticated browser session and perform state-changing operations through GET requests without a request-forgery defense. A remote attacker can cause a logged-in user to request either route from attacker-controlled content, stopping a running timesheet or restarting a historical entry to create and start a new timesheet without the user's consent. The unauthorized changes can corrupt time records, billing, reports, approvals, and audits. This issue is fixed in version 2.58.0.

  • Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52822 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.58.0, PATCH /api/timesheets/{id}/restart, PATCH /api/timesheets/{id}/duplicate, and the web duplicate workflow can derive a new record from an owned historical timesheet after the user's access to its project or activity has been revoked. TimesheetVoter evaluates the own-timesheet permission before current team access, and its canStart() logic validates object visibility but does not verify the user's current team access to the referenced project and activity. An old entry therefore acts as a persistent capability to create new time records under an unauthorized project and activity, corrupting budgets, statistics, reports, and invoices after an administrative revocation. This issue is fixed in version 2.58.0.

Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.57.0, GET or POST requests to /en/admin/activity/create/{project} and /en/admin/project/create/{customer} require only the generic create_activity or create_project capability and do not verify edit access to the supplied Project or Customer object. A user who knows a valid project.id or customer identifier can use the preset-parent creation logic in src/Controller/ActivityController.php or src/Controller/ProjectController.php to persist a new child business object under an unauthorized parent, polluting project or customer configuration and influencing later time-entry, rate, reporting, and billing behavior. • Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52820 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.57.0, PATCH /api/timesheets/{id} and POST /api/timesheets accept a user-controlled project identifier through TimesheetApiEditForm and FormTrait, and ProjectRepository::getQueryBuilderForFormType() places that identifier in an unconditional OR branch that bypasses the team access criteria. Any authenticated user with edit_own_timesheet can therefore assign an owned timesheet to a project outside the user's teams, persist unauthorized project attribution, and retrieve project and customer metadata through GET /api/timesheets/{id}?full=true. TimesheetTeamAccessValidator now checks changed project and activity associations against current team access. This issue is fixed in version 2.57.0.

Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.57.0, the GET /api/timesheets list endpoint accepts user and users[] target identifiers from a caller with view_other_timesheet but does not apply access_user or verify that a ROLE_TEAMLEAD requester leads a team containing each target user. TimesheetController::cgetAction() adds the resolved users directly to the query while project and customer filtering still permits records on unscoped projects or projects sharing ordinary team membership, allowing a teamlead to retrieve another user's descriptions, timing data, tags, rate, and internalRate even though GET /api/timesheets/{id} would deny access through TimesheetVoter. • Sep 14, 2026Tract is a tiny, no-nonsense, self-contained TensorFlow and ONNX inference toolkit.CVE-2026-55093 · Other software · sonos · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

Tract is a tiny, no-nonsense, self-contained TensorFlow and ONNX inference toolkit. Prior to 0.21.16, 0.22.2, and 0.23.1, tract-nnef uses unchecked usize multiplication in nnef/src/tensors.rs read_tensor for attacker-controlled tensor dimensions, the allocation size, and the reported tensor length. Loading a crafted NNEF archive through model_for_path or model_for_read reaches the default DatLoader and can make the wrapped size check accept a small allocation while data/src/tensor.rs as_slice_unchecked creates a much larger logical slice. Model construction through as_uniform can then read beyond the heap allocation and disclose adjacent data, and later access can terminate the process with a segmentation fault. The affected dense numeric tensor path does not include the independently guarded bool, String, or block-quant paths, and no out-of-bounds write or code execution was demonstrated. This issue is fixed in versions 0.21.16, 0.22.2, and 0.23.1.

MikroTik RouterOS before 7.24.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the container package OCI/tar image extraction that allows attackers to write files outside the container root by supplying a crafted container image with symlinks pointing to arbitrary paths. Attackers can exploit unsanitized tar member path extraction during container import via /container/add to achieve root-privileged file creation, directory creation, file deletion via overlayfs whiteout, and hardlink creation on the persistent data partition without ever starting the container. The 7.23.x long-term branch does not contain this fix; the container binaries in container-7.23.3.npk and container-7.23.4.npk are byte-identical. The vendor has confirmed that the issue is not resolved in the long-term release and that the fix is carried forward only in the stable branch from 7.24.2 onward, with no backport to the long-term branch planned.

OpenZeppelin Contracts Wizard is a web application to interactively build a contract out of components from OpenZeppelin Contracts. Prior to @openzeppelin/wizard 0.10.11, @openzeppelin/wizard-cairo 3.0.1, @openzeppelin/wizard-stellar 0.6.2, and @openzeppelin/wizard-stylus 0.3.1, the setInfo code path prints info.securityContact and info.license verbatim into single-line comments in generated Solidity, Cairo, Stellar/Soroban, and Stylus source. A line terminator ends the comment and causes following input to be emitted as source declarations. Exploitation requires an integration to populate these fields from untrusted input and a user to consume the generated source; normal self-service web, AI assistant, CLI, and self-hosted API use does not cross that trust boundary, shared links cannot set the fields, and no code executes on a Wizard service. This issue affects generated-source integrity only and is fixed in versions 0.10.11, 3.0.1, 0.6.2, and 0.3.1 of the respective packages.

Tract is a tiny, no-nonsense, self-contained TensorFlow and ONNX inference toolkit. Prior to 0.21.17, 0.22.3, and 0.23.2, the tract-onnx crate passes the attacker-controlled external_data location from an ONNX model through onnx/src/tensor.rs get_external_resources and joins the value to the model directory without rejecting absolute paths or parent directory components. Loading an untrusted model through model_for_path can therefore make onnx/src/data_resolver.rs MmapDataResolver open an arbitrary local file and place the file contents into model tensors or inference output. Attacker-controlled offset and length fields can also select an out-of-range mapping slice and cause a denial of service, but the flaw does not write files or execute code. vLLM versions >=0.10.2 and <0.28.0 do not apply any audio decode-size or duration limit when extracting audio from video input for NanoNemotronVL models. In nano_nemotron_vl.py, _extract_audio_from_videos calls load_audio_pyav(BytesIO(video_bytes)) without the max_duration_s or max_decode_bytes parameters, so neither VLLM_MAX_AUDIO_DECODE_DURATION_S nor VLLM_MAX_AUDIO_DECODE_BYTES is enforced (unlike the direct audio upload path in AudioMediaIO). When a NanoNemotronVL model is served with use_audio_in_video=True, an attacker who supplies a small, highly compressed video as multimodal input can force the server to allocate gigabytes of memory during audio decoding, resulting in a denial of service. Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Versions prior to 2.58.0 contain authenticated cross-site request forgery issues in their default team creation shortcuts for projects, customers, and activities. These endpoints are exposed through `GET` routes and directly create or reuse a `Team`, add the current user as teamlead, and bind the target object to that team. As a result, an attacker can trick a logged-in user with the required permissions into visiting a malicious page and cause unauthorized changes to team, teamlead, and object-binding relationships. This is a real authorization-structure modification issue rather than a harmless UI shortcut. Version 2.58.0 patches the issue.

  • Sep 11, 2026Shelf is a platform for tracking physical assets.CVE-2026-54166 · Other software · Shelf-nu · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

Shelf is a platform for tracking physical assets. Prior to version 1.20.3, authenticated users with the `asset:import` permission can trigger server-side HTTP requests to attacker-controlled URLs through the Asset CSV Content Import feature. The `imageUrl` validation logic can be bypassed through multiple techniques, including image-extension suffixes, image-related path keywords, domain substring matching, and redirect chains. After validation, the server performs an unrestricted `fetch()` request to the supplied URL. This results in a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability that allows attackers to reach internal network services, cloud metadata endpoints, and arbitrary external hosts from the application's network context. Additionally, response bodies are fully buffered before size validation, creating a potential memory exhaustion vector. Version 1.20.3 patches the issue.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing/user_events: Clear copied tracing state before fork duplication dup_task_struct() copies user_event_mm from the parent into the child, without grabbing a reference to it. user_event_mm_dup() should replace it, but it leaves that copied pointer unmodified if user_event_mm_alloc() fails. When the child exits, user_event_mm_remove() decrements a reference the child never owned, which ultimately frees user_event_mm, while the parent still as a stale pointer to it. This creates a UAF, which KASAN reports as: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in current_user_event_mm+0x51/0x1d0 Write of size 4 at addr ffff888005010d30 by task init/44 Call Trace: <TASK> kasan_report+0xce/0x100 kasan_check_range+0x10f/0x1e0 current_user_event_mm+0x51/0x1d0 user_events_ioctl+0x82e/0x15c0 __x64_sys_ioctl+0x139/0x1c0 do_syscall_64+0xce/0x450 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f Allocated by task 44: __kasan_kmalloc+0x8f/0xa0 __kmalloc_cache_noprof+0x180/0x3a0 user_event_mm_alloc+0x3c/0x1f0 current_user_event_mm+0x88/0x1d0 Freed by task 42:

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix crash passing ERR_PTR to kthread_stop() event_test_stuff() calls kthread_run() and unconditionally passes the returned task_struct pointer to kthread_stop(). kthread_run() returns an error pointer such as ERR_PTR(-ENOMEM) when kthread creation fails, for example under memory pressure during the boot-time event self-test. kthread_stop() then dereferences the invalid pointer, crashing the kernel. Check the result of kthread_run() before passing it to kthread_stop(). Use WARN_ON() so that a failure to create the self-test thread does not go unnoticed, matching the ring-buffer self-test fix in commit 91542863abad ("ring-buffer: Fix crash passing ERR_PTR to kthread_stop()").

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix retry exhaustion in simple ring buffer reader swap simple_ring_buffer_swap_reader_page() starts with retry set to 8 and post-decrements it only after a failed link replacement. On the final attempt, a successful replacement leaves retry at zero, while a failed replacement leaves it at -1. The current !retry test reverses both outcomes. It returns an error after a successful final replacement, leaving the link update complete but the reader bookkeeping unfinished. After a failed final replacement, it falls through and updates the head and reader pointers as though the replacement succeeded, which can corrupt the ring. Treat only a negative counter as exhaustion and return the documented -EBUSY error.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix use-after-free in trace_pipe read on sub-buffer order change Writing to buffer_subbuf_size_kb calls ring_buffer_subbuf_order_set(), which frees every sub-buffer of the ring buffer, including the reader page, and replaces them with newly allocated ones. Readers of trace_pipe hold pointers into those pages. ring_buffer_peek() looks up an event under cpu_buffer->reader_lock but returns the event pointer after dropping the lock, and peek_next_entry() then calls ring_buffer_event_length() and ring_buffer_event_data() on it. If the sub-buffer order is changed in that window, the reader dereferences freed memory: BUG: KASAN: use-after-free in ring_buffer_peek+0x3e0/0x430 Read of size 1 at addr ffff88802a4cf010 by task syz-executor989/6002 Freed by: free_buffer_page kernel/trace/ring_buffer.c:398 [inline] ring_buffer_subbuf_order_set+0x1325/0x18e0 kernel/trace/ring_buffer.c:7444 buffer_subbuf_size_write+0x182/0x280 kernel/trace/trace.c:8221 Take trace_access_lock(RING_BUFFER_ALL_CPUS) around the order change. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix use-after-free with same-name named triggers When two hist triggers on different events are registered with the same name=, the second one reuses the first as named_data. Both are added to tr->hist_vars by save_hist_vars() during event_hist_trigger_parse(), because save_hist_vars() is called before event_trigger_register() while the named reuse is only detected later, in hist_register_trigger(). In the named-data branch hist_register_trigger() then frees the second histogram's hist_data via destroy_hist_data(), but never removes its tr->hist_vars list entry, leaving a dangling pointer and leaking the trace_array reference it holds. A later hist trigger that references a variable makes find_var_file() walk tr->hist_vars and dereference the freed hist_data. The bug is reproducible from userspace by writing three hist triggers to tracefs: cd /sys/kernel/tracing echo 'hist:keys=common_pid:x=common_pid:name=mh' > events/sched/sched_switch/trigger echo 'hist:keys=common_pid:x=common_pid:name=mh' > events/sched/sched_process_fork/trigger echo 'hist:keys=common_pid:vals=$x' > events/sched/sched_

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath6kl: clamp assoc request/response lengths before subtracting IE offsets ath6kl_cfg80211_connect_event() subtracts fixed IE offsets from assoc_req_len (-= 4) and assoc_resp_len (-= 6), both u8, with no lower bound. The aggregate check recently added to ath6kl_wmi_connect_event_rx() bounds the declared lengths from above (their sum must fit the received event), but an assoc request/response shorter than its fixed offset still underflows here: the u8 wraps to ~250, and cfg80211_connect_result() / cfg80211_roamed() then treat that wrapped value as the IE length and copy that many bytes out of the small assoc_info buffer to user space via nl80211, disclosing adjacent slab memory. Clamp both lengths to their offsets before subtracting. Found by 0sec (https://0sec.ai) using automated source analysis; the missing lower bound is evident from source. Compile-tested.

Pandora contains a path traversal vulnerability in its archive extraction worker. When processing a specially crafted archive or disk image, attacker-controlled file paths could be used without ensuring that the resulting destination remained within the intended extraction directory. An attacker able to submit a malicious file for analysis could use path traversal sequences or crafted paths to cause extracted content to be written outside the designated extraction directory, potentially overwriting files accessible to the Pandora worker process. Successful exploitation could result in unauthorized modification of application or system files, denial of service, and potentially further compromise depending on the permissions of the Pandora process and the files that can be overwritten. The vulnerability is addressed by resolving each extraction destination path before writing and verifying that it remains below the expected extraction directory. Extraction attempts resolving outside this directory are rejected and reported as path traversal attempts.

  • Sep 9, 2026MantisBT is an open source bug tracker.CVE-2026-47156 · Other software · mantisbt · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3

MantisBT is an open source bug tracker. Versions 2.28.3 and earlier contain a critical authentication bypass in the SOAP API's mci_check_login() function. Any user knowing any valid cookie_string can authenticate as any other user (knowing their username), including the administrator, without knowing the target's password. The vulnerability is exploitable with zero prior access on default MantisBT installations because self-registration is enabled by default ($g_allow_signup = ON). A self-registered user can use their own cookie_string (readable from their browser's MANTIS_STRING_COOKIE cookie after login) to impersonate the administrator via the SOAP API. The REST API is NOT affected. The REST API's AuthMiddleware derives the username server-side from the API token or session cookie, so the username cannot be spoofed. The Web UI is NOT affected. The Web UI authenticates via PHP session cookies (PHPSESSID) and validates the MANTIS_STRING_COOKIE against the logged-in user through auth_is_cookie_valid(). The username is derived server-side from the cookie, not supplied by the client. Version 2.28.4 contains a patch. No known workarounds are available.

The OpenAPI.NET SDK contains a useful object model for OpenAPI documents in .NET along with common serializers to extract raw OpenAPI JSON and YAML documents from the model. In Microsoft.OpenApi.Readers versions before 1.6.30 and Microsoft.OpenApi.YamlReader from 2.0.0-preview.11 through 2.11.0 and 3.0.0 through 3.9.0, parsing a YAML OpenAPI document with nested anchors and aliases can consume uncontrolled memory. SharpYaml represents aliases as shared nodes in a small directed acyclic graph, but conversion to independent OpenAPI or System.Text.Json.Nodes.JsonNode trees duplicates every aliased path; without a node-count or nesting-depth limit, N nested anchors referenced k times can require k^N materialized nodes and terminate the process through an out-of-memory condition. The fixed readers bound materialization to 5,000,000 nodes and a nesting depth of 64 by default and report an OpenApiDiagnostic error when a limit is exceeded. This vulnerability is fixed in Microsoft.OpenApi.Readers 1.6.30 and Microsoft.OpenApi.YamlReader 2.12.0 and 3.10.0.
