Multiple Cisco products are affected by a vulnerability in the Snort 3 NetFlow Detection Engine that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to restart, resulting in an interruption of packet inspection. This vulnerability is due to incomplete error checking when Snort 3 parses UDP Netflow Protocol packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a single crafted Netflow packet through an established connection to be parsed by Snort 3. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to restart unexpectedly, resulting in a DoS condition.

Oct 21, 2026odf-kit allows users to generate, fill, read, and convert OpenDocument Format files (.odt, .ods) in TypeScript and JavaScript.CVE-2026-113787 · Other software · GitHubNewbie0 · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1
odf-kit allows users to generate, fill, read, and convert OpenDocument Format files (.odt, .ods) in TypeScript and JavaScript. Starting in version 0.6.0 and prior to version 0.14.2, he renderer has an `escapeHtml()` helper and applies it consistently to text content and to attribute values — `href`, `src`, `alt`, `id`, `data-author`, `data-date`, citation text all go through it. The inline CSS strings do not. In `renderTextSpan` (`dist/odt/to-html/html-renderer.js:195`), the value of e.g. `fo:color` is copied from the document into `style.fontColor` verbatim by the parser (`extractSpanStyle`, read/parser.js:348), then concatenated raw into the attribute. A `"` in the value terminates the attribute early. The same unescaped `style="${...}"` pattern appears at roughly ten other emission sites: paragraph and heading (`paragraphStyleToCss`), table cells and rows (`cellStyleToCss`, `rowStyleToCss`), `<col>`, and the image style attribute. The affected source attributes include `fo:color`, `fo:background-color`, `fo:text-shadow`, `fo:letter-spacing`, `fo:font-family` (via both direct and font-face resolution), `fo:margin-*`, `fo:padding-*`, `fo:line-height`, `fo:border*`, and `style:vert

Oct 21, 2026The pfSense REST API package is an unofficial, open-source REST and GraphQL API for pfSense CE and pfSense Plus firewalls.CVE-2026-113779 · Other software · pfrest · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
The pfSense REST API package is an unofficial, open-source REST and GraphQL API for pfSense CE and pfSense Plus firewalls. A privilege escalation vulnerability in pfSense-pkg-RESTAPI prior to version 2.9.0 allows authenticated accounts holding the dedicated settings sync permission to modify REST API configuration secrets. This enables a non-administrative user to elevate their privileges to a full administrator. pfSense-pkg-RESTAPI 2.9.0 patches the issue. Access to the HA settings sync endpoint now strictly requires full administrative privileges (`page-all`). The sub-administrative sync privilege has been removed in versions v2.9.0 and later. In addition to correcting the access control boundary, version 2.9.0 includes the following hardening measures: opt-in default and format and validation modernization. As a workaround, one may mitigate exposure by taking either or all of the following steps. Revoke Scoped Permissions: Remove the `api-v2-system-restapi-settings-sync-post` privilege from all non-administrative users. Apply ACLs: Configure REST API Access Control Lists (ACLs) and/or firewall rules to restrict access to API endpoints exclusively to trusted administrator and HA

Oct 21, 2026A flaw was found in the `lm-evaluation-harness` component of Red Hat OpenShift AI.CVE-2026-17557 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.5
A flaw was found in the `lm-evaluation-harness` component of Red Hat OpenShift AI. An authenticated user, able to submit an evaluation job, could exploit this by providing a malicious model URL in the `JobSpec`. This vulnerability allows for the disclosure of the tenant's model authentication secret to an attacker-controlled external listener. In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions prior to 0.63.0, the JITServer component fails to perform cross-field validation on attacker-controlled `_size`, `_paddingSize`, and `_dataOffset` fields during `DataDescriptor` message deserialization. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a crafted network payload that triggers an unsigned integer underflow in `DataDescriptor::getPayloadSize()` and `DataDescriptor::getNextDescriptor()`. Oct 21, 2026In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions prior to 0.63.0, the JITServer component is vulnerable to a pre-authentication remote denial of service.CVE-2026-111074 · Other software · Eclipse Foundation · reported by emo@eclipse.orgHigh 8.7
In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions prior to 0.63.0, the JITServer component is vulnerable to a pre-authentication remote denial of service. When processing the initial 4-byte length field of an incoming TCP connection, an integer overflow in `MessageBuffer::computeRequiredCapacity()` causes the receiving compilation worker thread to enter an infinite loop consuming ~100% CPU. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by opening a small number of crafted TCP connections to exhaust the entire worker thread pool, silently halting compilation services for all connected client JVMs.

In OpenStack Cinder through 29.0.0, cross-project information disclosure can occur in the Messages API. A non-admin user with the project-scoped 'member' or 'reader' role making the Block Storage API v3.3 "List messages" call finds the non-expired user messages for other projects included in the response, resulting in the leakage of UUIDs of resources owned by other projects, in addition to the user message about the other projects' resources (which, by design, are sanitized generic messages). Oct 21, 2026In OpenStack Manila before 23.0.1, multiple Manila API operations on public shares do not verify that the caller owns the share.CVE-2026-71195 · Other software · OpenStack · reported by MITRECritical 9.9
In OpenStack Manila before 23.0.1, multiple Manila API operations on public shares do not verify that the caller owns the share. The API controllers authorize operations against the caller's own project context, then load a foreign public share without re-authorizing against the share's actual owner. This affects the following operations: allow_access: grant data-plane read/write access to another tenant's share; deny_access: revoke the owner's existing access rules; update_access: escalate access level (e.g., ro to rw); create_share_backup: exfiltrate share data via a backup created under the attacker's project; soft_delete: move a foreign share to the recycle bin; restore: interfere with the owner's deletion workflow; export location metadata: create, update, and delete metadata on foreign export locations; access rule listing: disclose IPs, usernames, and CephFS keys. Any authenticated project member can exploit these operations on any public share. The share UUID is visible since the share is public.

Oct 20, 2026OpenChoreo is a developer platform for Kubernetes.CVE-2026-113727 · Other software · openchoreo · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4
OpenChoreo is a developer platform for Kubernetes. From 1.0.0 until 1.0.6, 1.1.7, and 1.2.5, the PUT .../workflowruns/{runName} update route authorizes a request using the openchoreo.dev/project and openchoreo.dev/component labels in the submitted body while selecting the stored WorkflowRun by the URL path. An authenticated caller with workflowrun:update for one project or component in the same namespace can name another run in the path, submit ownership labels for a scope they control, and rewrite the victim run's ownership labels. Subsequent authorization then treats the attacker as authorized to read build logs and Kubernetes events, delete the run, modify pending spec.workflow.parameters, or place the run into a permanent ComponentValidationFailed state. The namespace comes from the URL, so the issue is cross-project or cross-component within one namespace and is not anonymously reachable or cross-tenant. This issue is fixed in 1.0.6, 1.1.7, and 1.2.5.

Oct 20, 2026DBI versions before 1.656 for Perl hang on a later open of a DBD::DBM table because a failed open_data does not release the table's lock.CVE-2026-111879 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eMedium 6.5
DBI versions before 1.656 for Perl hang on a later open of a DBD::DBM table because a failed open_data does not release the table's lock. open_data creates the table's lock file and takes an exclusive flock on it for a CREATE, before the checks that can croak: a dbm_mldbm value that is not a module name, a failing tie, or a missing data file. The croak unwinds before the table object is blessed, so nothing releases the lock, and the meta data holding the open descriptor stays cached on the database handle. The dbm_mldbm and dbm_type values come from the DSN or the connect attributes, so a caller that chooses the serializer or the storage backend can trigger the failure. The flock has no timeout, so a later open of that table (even through a separate database handle) blocks for as long as the handle holding the stale lock lives, in the same process or any other.

Oct 20, 2026libcurl's TFTP state machine fails to validate state transitions against the requested transfer direction, accepting opening server responses for both reads andCVE-2026-92389 · Other software · curl · reported by 2499f714-1537-4658-8207-48ae4bb9eae9High 8.1
libcurl's TFTP state machine fails to validate state transitions against the requested transfer direction, accepting opening server responses for both reads and writes interchangeably. A malicious TFTP server can respond to a download request in a way that forces the client into transmit mode, prompting libcurl to consume and transmit data from the handle's persistent `CURLOPT_READDATA` pointer - including data remaining from unrelated prior operations, such as an HTTP POST request executed on a reused handle.
