  • Oct 21, 2026The Pulsar Functions Worker provides a REST API endpoint for triggering a function, which publishes a caller-supplied value to one of the function's configured CVE-2026-105935 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 4.9

The Pulsar Functions Worker provides a REST API endpoint for triggering a function, which publishes a caller-supplied value to one of the function's configured input topics. The Functions Worker performs this publish with its own broker client, which authenticates with the Worker's configured broker-client credentials rather than the credentials of the API caller. When authorization is enabled, in Apache Pulsar 2.4.0 and later versions, the trigger endpoint checks only that the caller is authorized to perform function operations in the function's namespace. It does not check that the caller is authorized to produce to the input topic that the message is published to. Versions before 2.4.0 do not perform a caller authorization check for the trigger endpoint at all. Function input topics are not restricted to the function's own tenant or namespace, and registering a function does not require produce permission on its input topics. As a result, an authenticated user who is authorized to manage functions in a namespace, for example a role granted the functions permission on that namespace, can cause the Functions Worker to publish messages with caller-controlled content to a topic th

  • Oct 21, 2026stream-json is a micro-library of stream components for processing JSON and JSONC with a minimal memory footprint.CVE-2026-114129 · Other software · uhop · reported by GitHubMedium 6.2

stream-json is a micro-library of stream components for processing JSON and JSONC with a minimal memory footprint. From 2.0.0 until 3.7.0, FlexAssembler compiles string and regular-expression path filters into matchers that join the full key stack on every container start. Because the key stack grows with unbounded object or array nesting, a document nested to depth D causes D joins whose cost grows with the current depth, resulting in quadratic CPU consumption on the single-threaded event loop. The join occurs before the rule match decision, so the attacker does not need to know the target schema. Consumers using only function filters or no rules are not affected. A crafted nested document can stall all concurrent work in a process that feeds it to an affected FlexAssembler. This issue is fixed in 3.7.0, which adds a default maximum depth.

  • Oct 21, 2026Storybook is a frontend workshop for building user interface components and pages in isolation.CVE-2026-114126 · Other software · storybookjs · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

Storybook is a frontend workshop for building user interface components and pages in isolation. From 8.0.0 until 8.6.19, 9.1.21, 10.6.2, and 11.0.0-alpha.6, the Storybook development server can expose its WebSocket authentication token to clients able to load its HTML pages over a local network. A LAN attacker can obtain the token and invoke WebSocket-backed file-writing or testing functionality. Weak story-write validation can allow code to be placed in story files. If the Storybook Vitest addon is installed with an old version of Vitest, the payload can use a Vitest API to write additional files or execute commands. Depending on the payload and local tooling, the attack can lead to code execution with the developer's privileges. This issue is fixed in 8.6.19, 9.1.21, 10.6.2, and 11.0.0-alpha.6.

From 8.0.0 until 8.6.19, 9.1.21, 10.6.2, and 11.0.0-alpha.6, a malicious website can interact with the preview of a running Storybook development server. Insufficient iframe embedding and message-origin restrictions can allow attacker-controlled events to reach the running preview. A developer must visit the malicious website and interact with the injected interface. The attack can cause unauthorized changes to story files and, if a changed file is later executed by a local runtime, arbitrary code execution with the developer's privileges. • Oct 21, 2026A flaw was found in the PathResourceManager component of the Undertow web server.CVE-2026-114370 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatLow 3.7

A flaw was found in the PathResourceManager component of the Undertow web server. This component is responsible for serving static files from the file system. The issue occurs because the mechanism used to verify if a symbolic link points to a safe location only checks if the target path starts with a specific string, without ensuring it matches a full directory name. This could allow an attacker to access files in a sibling directory if that directorys name starts with the same characters as an authorized safe directory.

  • Oct 21, 2026Uncontrolled recursion in the mcpack2pb component in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to make the server crash via sendinCVE-2026-82230 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5

Uncontrolled recursion in the mcpack2pb component in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to make the server crash via sending deeply nested mcpack data. Root Cause: The bRPC mcpack2pb parser (used to serve nshead_mcpack / ubrpc / public_pbrpc requests) recursively parses nested objects and arrays without any depth limit. For a protobuf message that references itself (e.g. a repeated message field), the generated parser recurses once per nesting level of the incoming mcpack object. A deeply nested request makes the recursion grow unbounded, overflow the stack and crash the process. Affected Scenarios: Use bRPC server with a recursive-schema protobuf message to serve nshead_mcpack / ubrpc / public_pbrpc requests from untrusted network. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3499 Note: No matter which option you choose, you should know that the fix enforces the documented parsing depth limit MAX_DEPTH (128) on the parse path, the same limit the serializer already applies. • Oct 21, 2026Uncontrolled resource consumption in the streaming RPC component of Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) allows a remote attacker to exhaust server memory and cause dCVE-2026-81755 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.org

Uncontrolled resource consumption in the streaming RPC component of Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) allows a remote attacker to exhaust server memory and cause denial of service by sending a single RPC request that declares an excessive number of streams. Root Cause: In the streaming RPC feature, a client can declare multiple streams in one RPC request by putting extra stream identifiers into the repeated field `stream_settings.extra_stream_ids` of the RPC meta. On the server side, `StreamAccept` creates one response stream for every stream identifier declared by the request, without limiting the number of streams accepted in a single RPC. The request body size is only bounded by `max_body_size` (default 64MB), which is enough to carry millions of stream identifiers. Each accepted stream allocates its own bthread execution queue and associated resources, so a single crafted request can make the server create a huge number of streams and exhaust memory, leading to denial of service. Affected Scenarios: Use a bRPC server that serves streaming RPC and calls `StreamAccept` to accept streams from untrusted clients. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options)  1. • Oct 21, 2026A heap use-after-free in the RTMP protocol component of Apache bRPC (versions < 1.18.0) allows a remote attacker to crash a bRPC RTMP server by sending a crafteCVE-2026-74758 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.org

A heap use-after-free in the RTMP protocol component of Apache bRPC (versions < 1.18.0) allows a remote attacker to crash a bRPC RTMP server by sending a crafted Abort control message. No authentication or application-level request is required. Root Cause: When an RTMP Abort control message names the chunk stream that is currently being parsed (the chunk stream carrying the message itself), RtmpChunkStream::OnAbortMessage calls RtmpContext::ClearChunkStream, which deletes the RtmpChunkStream while its Feed() is still running. After the message handler returns, Feed() continues to access members of the deleted object, resulting in a heap-use-after-free. Affected Scenarios: bRPC servers that enable RTMP support (ServerOptions.rtmp_service set) and accept connections from untrusted networks. How to Fix: 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch:  https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3452 The fix skips clearing the chunk stream when the Abort message targets the chunk stream that is currently being parsed.

Uncontrolled resource allocation in the mcpack2pb component in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to make the server allocate a large amount of memory via sending a crafted mcpack request with a huge array item count. Root Cause: The bRPC mcpack2pb parser trusts the item count stored in the mcpack array header without validating it against the actual payload size. The code generated by the mcpack2pb protoc plugin uses this count to preallocate memory for repeated protobuf fields via Reserve(). A malformed request declaring item_count = 0x7fffffff can force the server to preallocate about 16GB of virtual memory, which may abort the process (SIGABRT) on memory-constrained hosts. Affected Scenarios: Use a bRPC server that wires a NsheadService to UbrpcMcpack2Adaptor (the Baidu ubrpc deployment pattern) and parses requests with code generated by the mcpack2pb protoc plugin. The request body is parsed before authentication. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. • Oct 21, 2026An integer underflow in the mcpack2pb component of Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to crash a bRPC server by sending a rCVE-2026-74755 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.org

An integer underflow in the mcpack2pb component of Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to crash a bRPC server by sending a request containing a string field with a zero value_size. The UnparsedValue::as_string() function computes `_size - 1` without validating `_size`; when value_size is 0 the expression underflows to SIZE_MAX, resize() throws std::length_error, and because the exception is not caught on the request parsing path the process aborts (SIGABRT). Root Cause: In src/mcpack2pb/parser.cpp, UnparsedValue::as_string() resizes the output string to `_size - 1`, where `_size` is the value_size of a string field taken directly from the network data. A value_size of 0 underflows the unsigned size_t, and the subsequent resize() throws an exception that is not caught. Affected Scenarios: bRPC servers that accept nshead frames wired to the ubrpc mcpack2 adaptor (for example the NsheadService + UbrpcMcpack2Adaptor deployment pattern) can be crashed by a single unauthenticated request. Stock open-source bRPC registers the ubrpc/nshead_mcpack protocols as client-only, so default server configurations are not affected. How to Fix: 1. Upgrade bRPC t

Exposed dangerous method or function and Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in OnePlus OxygenOS on Android. The olc2 logging HAL exposes a binder method that fork()'s and calls execl("/vendor/bin/sh", "sh", "-c", cmd, NULL) with a caller-supplied command string. The only authorization check is getCallingUid() == 0. Because SELinux policy grants binder access to this HAL to a wide client attribute, any uid-0 process in any of those domains (including dumpstate, which is reachable from an unprivileged app via Vulnerability 1) obtains arbitrary command execution. The spawned shell lands in u:r:vendor_qti_init_shell:s0 SELinux context via a policy type_transition, a domain holding all Linux capabilities. This issue affects OxygenOS: from 16.1.0 before 16.1.10.500, from 16.0.0 before 16.0.5.1200, and from 15.0.0 before 15.0.0.2000.

Any locally installed Android application, with no permissions declared and no user interaction beyond launching it, can execute arbitrary shell commands as uid 0 in the u:r:dumpstate:s0 SELinux domain. A flaw was found in the `lm-evaluation-harness` component of Red Hat OpenShift AI. An authenticated user, able to submit an evaluation job, could exploit this by providing a malicious model URL in the `JobSpec`. This vulnerability allows for the disclosure of the tenant's model authentication secret to an attacker-controlled external listener. Additionally, it enables Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attacks against internal network endpoints reachable from the evaluation job pod.

  • Oct 21, 2026In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions prior to 0.63.0, the JITServer component fails to perform cross-field validation on attacker-controlled `_size`, `_paddingSize`, and CVE-2026-111075 · Other software · Eclipse Foundation · reported by emo@eclipse.orgHigh 8.7

In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions prior to 0.63.0, the JITServer component fails to perform cross-field validation on attacker-controlled `_size`, `_paddingSize`, and `_dataOffset` fields during `DataDescriptor` message deserialization. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a crafted network payload that triggers an unsigned integer underflow in `DataDescriptor::getPayloadSize()` and `DataDescriptor::getNextDescriptor()`. This results in an out-of-bounds heap read and an immediate process crash (SIGSEGV), causing a denial of service.

  • Oct 21, 2026In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions prior to 0.63.0, the JITServer component is vulnerable to a pre-authentication remote denial of service.CVE-2026-111074 · Other software · Eclipse Foundation · reported by emo@eclipse.orgHigh 8.7

In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions prior to 0.63.0, the JITServer component is vulnerable to a pre-authentication remote denial of service. When processing the initial 4-byte length field of an incoming TCP connection, an integer overflow in `MessageBuffer::computeRequiredCapacity()` causes the receiving compilation worker thread to enter an infinite loop consuming ~100% CPU. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by opening a small number of crafted TCP connections to exhaust the entire worker thread pool, silently halting compilation services for all connected client JVMs.
